Twenty-one? There was a Hull Daily Mail story a few weeks ago with every idiot who got put away in 2018, and I reckon I could have picked out a good 85/90% of the sexcases on appearance alone.

We are in a place where this is a normal statement:

Lynda Mayall, 61, who lives near Wakefield, bought a kit after hearing reports of how the UK may struggle post-Brexit.

"I'm not worried about Brexit, I'm worried about the aftermath," she said.

"I feel that there's going to be a bit of chaos for the first six months until border controls are sorted.

What a bunch of morons. Short of actual nuclear war is there a circumstance in which we would be in danger even of rationing let alone anyone actually going without for any length of time?

Somebody - I think Cracked, but I don' t want to check in case the algorithms start forcing all of their shit content on me - did a decent breakdown once of why zombies would be the shittest predators ever and turn into mush after a week. We could easily see a week out.

I always enjoy a story about large corporations getting fucked but McDonalds have just lost the 'Big Mac' trademark.

I was half way through the article when I read this.

In what world have they not used 'Big Mac' since 1996?

I've a feeling something's either been lost in translation there (is the dispute actually about the trademark for 'SnackBox'?) or an EU Trademark (or whatever it is) probably isn't worth much as the issue is dealt with at national level.

It's a misprint isn't it? It reads like McDonalds were trying to stop them using 'Supermac'.

The Guardian is notorious for just printing any old shite without proof reading it.

Not sure what went down about trademarks, etc but it was mainly about McDonalds stopping them expanding outside here because of the Mac in the name and now they can't stop them.

Speeding can kill. Littering, unless you live in a cartoon featuring a banana skin, doesn’t.

And even if they had the same chance, 2 months and a driving ban is a bit less severe than firing squad.

There's a great push on that here at the minute. Someone in Fingal county council had the sense to buy a load of wildlife cameras and there's massive fines being doled out.

Except to travellers, because to punish them would be racist.

Obviously prison time for speeding is completely absurd. You'll get the prison if you kill someone.

I love every name in that article, but 'Cois na hAbhainn, Tuam, County Galway' is my favourite. I'm choosing to believe that capital A is a stylistic choice, like in Amsterdam ArenA, rather than a typo.

Though in fairness, I should know not to praise a judge. This guy was in the same court with the same judge today and only got a driving ban.

    https://www.limerickleader.ie/news/h...eed-chase.html

A man who reversed a high-powered car directly at Limerick gardai forcing them to take evasive action has been banned from driving for three years.

If the court believes it is 'morally unacceptable to regard a child as a financial liability', couldn't that also have implications for a woman trying to get money out of a man who didn't want a kid?
