It's a classic supply and demand surely. The fact that the alma mater of a college is several thousand a year, never mind relatives, locals or 'extras'.

You're better comparing it to an Arsenal or Man United season ticket. They're fucking expensive, but people pay it. There's only 8 home games a year too, so not like you can decide to just go to a cheap game.

Basketball/baseball I imagine is much cheaper because they play mid week too and about a million games a year. Supply and demand...

I'm disappointed with this. I wanted to see what would happen with a player refusing to sign for the team who drafted him. Is he allowed to look for another team? I don't remember an example of it happening before.

Closest thing I can think of is Eli Manning.

They go back in to the draft next year. Well it used to be that way under the old CBA and I don't think it changed.

It hasn't. I saw a report which said that Bosa would re-enter the 2017 draft and the Chargers would get nothing. Whilst it would have been stunningly harsh for the Chargers it would have been very 'lol'.

Also, Donald Trump has told Kap he should find a new country after refusing to stand during the anthem:

"Yeah I think Colin should go back to his o-..... whaddya mean, Milwaukee? Well shoot, the point still stands, just look at him."

If he's annoyed Donald Trump then maybe I don't hate him so much after all.

A thirty second Google has thrown up a stonking quote from the coach of the 'Baltimore Ravens'.

"Voltaire so eloquently stated, 'I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend it until death your right to say it,'" John Harbaugh said, per ESPN. "That's a principle that our country is founded on. I don't think you cannot deny someone the right to speak out or mock or make fun or belittle anybody else's opinion."
    Top, top stuff.

It always struck me as odd, with my little four hundred quid Rangers season ticket, but if they're getting a hundred and fifty quid a game out of people then that episode suddenly makes sense.
That is pretty much the secondary market but that the secondary market dominated US ticket sales is a huge issue.

Teddy Bridgewater's picked up a non-contact injury in his left knee, and it sounds like it could be pretty serious.

Got taken away in an ambulance & players were praying around him, apparently.

I can see them doing something stupid like trading for the Sanchez now.

They'd be heroes if they called up Interceptaurus Rex though.

Sanchez is going fucking nowhere. If anything we need more quarterbacks to endure all the fucking sacks they're going to be taking. I reckon we should sign Jared Lorenzen and put him in for a third of all passing downs just to soak up the punishment and score the odd bulldozing touchdown.

A shame for Bridgewater though. As meaningless as camp and pre-season is he was looking in decent shape by all account.

The Broncos are trying to sell Sanchez to the Cowboys.

Can someone legit tell me why Tebow is no longer an NFL player?Granted i've seen only Youtube footage on the guy,but he seemed with the Broncos at least,a very decent mobile QB.Why did it go downhill so quickly and secondly why are teams that are actively searching for a QB not taking a punt on him?Surely guys like Glennon,EJ Manuel are not better than him.

Because the league have realised that mobile quarterbacks have to, somewhat shockingly, actually know how to pass.

Defences are getting better at dealing with mobile quarterbacks because they've stopped thinking 'oh but he's probably going to pass this time'. They're actively getting better at making sure that mobile quarterbacks have to stay in the pocket which is where they're complete bullshit.

See also RG3 (the Browns are mongs for taking a punt on him) and Kaepernick.

Cam Newton and Russell Wilson on the other hand happen to be great at actually passing the ball and running with it.

He's got decent arm strength but again, his accuracy is a fucking mess. Most of his biggest passing plays were shorter throws which receivers like Demaryius Thomas made more out of:

An 80 yard TD but Tebow passed it about 25 yards or so, Thomas did the rest.

He'd be an absolute disaster if he had to play now.

He had a workout for the MLB yesterday and scouts graded him below average for arm strength for throws like this:

It shouldn't be bouncing from there.

So Teddy suffered a torn ACL, dislocated knee and has structural damage to the area. He's done for the season but expected to make a full recovery.

What the hell did he do to manage that?

Unfortunately but predictably, Keenan Reynolds has been cut

Prime candidate for the practice squad if he doesn't get picked up by anyone.

Also, Goff will start the season as the third quarterback.

Don't send him to Baltimore, he'll only get injured. He could be DGB's German relative at Philly, so I guess that's a option.

He could do worse than Chicago, who have one reciever who takes 30% of the targets but is pretty likely to get hurt at some point, one who appears to be a work in progress and then presumably some other guys exist, but they could all just be myths for all anyone knows.

He won't go to Baltimore, we're stacked at WR. Even dropped a guy who was making plays like crazy in the preseason. Jeremy Butler, I'm pissed he got cut.

Fuck knows what's happening in Baltimore. We were expected to keep one of Michael Campanaro or Jeremy Butler but both have been cut. Then when that news hit it seemed that either Terrance Brooks (a good safety who was been at the team for a couple of years) or Victor Ochi (undrafted rookie linebacker who played really well in preseason) would take a spot. Both of them have just been cut.

We are going to sign Devin Hester though but there was room for him without cutting all four of those.

Edit: Hell, some were even predicting both Campanaro and Butler to make the final 53 after Ben Watson got injured.

That seems pretty mad considering the state of their line last year. You'd think somebody would be more than happy to offer them something for him, if only to make sure they don't miss out on him if he gets dropped.
