Jesus, Shazier is not going to play again is he?
Jesus, Shazier is not going to play again is he?
This would have been more special if Rich Eisen hadn't spent the last ten minutes hyping it up, but fuck me Ryan Shazier is a dude. To be back where he is now already is hugely impressive.
The Seahawks pick was a surprise and yet it's immediately been blown out of the water by the Steelers taking Terrell Edmunds.
Interesting pick from the Jags. I guess they're preparing for the time when they have to start shifting some cap room from that defensive line.
Did they need another defensive lineman?
They're going to have to cut Calais next season, I'd imagine, so it's worth getting a replacement sorted now.
Nice pick from the Vikings. They need a corner, and Hughes can take over as their new kick returner as well.
Xavier Rhodes, Trae Waynes and Hughes. Woof.
That has stunned me.
Chuck another running back into the Patriots committee!
The draft is great - you can never tell what's going to happen, no matter how much you think you know.
Hello
Loomar Jackson here.
BALTIMORE ARE BACK!!
I'm sorry, 'how.
Loomar Jackson to replace Flacco next year then.
You better not try to fit him in to the current scheme. He's a hell of a talent, and he's actually a decent thrower, so you could have a hell of an offence if you get some actual WRs.
I like it more that we traded around and got him at 32 (plus a TE) rather than 16.
He'll sit a year then goodbye Joe.
Steve Smith has been on the money tonight.
That's not necessarily an Ozzie pick but a DeCosta pick.
Guice, Hurst, Landry & quite a few other studs sitting on the board tomorrow
What're your thoughts on Chubb then, chaps? He has a good beefy name for a defensive player so that's a solid start as far as I'm concerned.
He's not flashy, but he's really good - strong against the run, good with his hands & has a great motor. He should be a really nice compliment to Von Miller.
Von Miller said 'he's like me plus Khalil Mack'
Some really safe picks made last night I feel. Colts grabbing a guard was a no brainier and Barkley at 2 makes a good amount of sense if he's half as good in the NFL as he was in college.
Highlight for me was seeing how pissed Josh Rosen was at going number 10.
Interesting thought that the Browns walked with mayfield and ward whilst the bills have Allen and Edmunds. Pretty solid gamble by the browns so for the sake of competition really hope it works out.

If the Giants pick Harold Landry tonight after taking Barkley yesterday I might be a secret Giants fans.

The top three on both lists are pretty clear, and then it was hard to choose from a handful of others for the last two spots. Most picks were really solid, even if a few caught us off guard.
EDIT: The more I think about the Steelers' pick the more I see some redeeming qualities in it. They need a linebacker & the best four had already gone, so considering there's a pretty hefty drop off to the next lot it's possible that they're going to try & see if Terrell can do the same job as his brother. Still a reach though.

Is tonight starting late too? I remember the old draft format used to have later rounds on early enough.
Coverage starts at 11.15pm or something on sky sports.

Trent Brown has been traded to the Pats.
Also Cutler and Witten are retiring.
I have a mate who's big on the Falcons and he's going fucking tonto over them getting Ridley. He could not be happier.
He should be, he's the best route runner in the class, he's got good deep speed & his presence will make it harder for teams to focus on Julio. He should be an immediate upgrade on Taylor Gabriel & Mo Sanu, and this will be the first time he's had an actual QB throwing him the ball, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's in the running for offensive rookie of the year.
Someone let me know when the Eagles actually pick someone.
The more I read about Mayfield the more I hope he's a massive failure. Just a huge wanker.
Did Jerry Jones pay for this advertisement of Texas?
I do find odd to hear everyone saying before the draft that the Browns had to take their QB at #1, then complaining afterwards that they should've waited til #4 to take Mayfield.
The reaction to that pick
Looks like the surprises are going to continue tonight. Will Hernandez to the Giants is a great pick though - he's almost as nasty as Quenton Nelson.
Browns are amazing.
Giants must be drooling, he looks mean as fuck.
How many people had Mayfield, Ward, Corbett & Nick Chubb as the first four picks from the Browns?
What has Guice done to have to watch so many RBs go ahead of him?
Apparently he gave three different accounts of that story about people asking him dodgy questions at the combine, so that's probably done him in.
Landry apparently had a couple of injuries flagged, so that on top of the ankle from last season might explain him still being here.
That's how you do it.
Just announce both picks, no fucking about with time.
Wow, the surprises definitely keep on coming. I had them both as low third round grades who could go late round two, but clearly everything has just gone out the window.
Nelson/Kelly/Smith is a pretty tasty interior offensive line though.

Guice must be seething.
RoJo should be a nice add, especially as they've just re-signed Charles Sims who can actually catch a pass.
I love the 'Who?' reactions.
James Daniels is a nice pick for the Bears. Not sure whether it'll be him or Whitehair at C, but the other one should be a decent enough guard. We're getting plenty of focus on the O-Line so far, especially the inside guys.
Those 2 one handed catches they showed there are filthy.
