Also, "dripping". Wind the melodrama back a little.
I know it was in ban terms. I'm not related to him, no. You don't have to like him. You don't have to like everyone.

Everything just seems to be cunt this and fuck that with you recently. You seem to hate more people/teams in football than you do actually get any enjoyment out of it. All the loathing can't be good for your blood pressure either.

If it's me telling you to cheer up, there must be something wrong.

Simeone has just knocked 'Barca, mate' and 'Bayern, mate' out of the European Cup in successive ties by playing tactically superb football and getting a team of less gifted individuals (relatively speaking) to sacrifice their egos, belt around the pitch and put the team first. If Ronaldo didn't spend half his life throwing a strop when the rest of his team mates don't pass the ball to him he might have mustered more than one league title in seven years, the massive wanker.

Simeone is great. He's one of those managers who is perfect for the club he's at, though. He'd probably be shit somewhere else. It's also great to see that you can't just go and buy a world class front three for nine figures aggregated and walk through ties. He has Fernando fucking Torres up front, for fuck sake. Hail to the chief.

Pep as an innovator is overblown. He has been a very good coach but he has only tried taking Michels/Cruyff football to its logical next stage. More emphasis on possession than those two but having Xavi, Iniesta and Messi at his disposal was the reason that was possible. And without somebody like Messi to make and score the goals his style of football was really boring. Look at the state of the Spanish World Cup winning team. Lauded by everybody but they were boring as fuck,

    Anyway, fuck possession.

I think Guardiola three years into Barca was looking like a serious candidate for TOP, TOP level status. He's mucked it up a bit since there, largely because he seems to have got too clever for his own good - why can you not just play players where they're supposed to play, you cunt? But Barca 2008-2011 were fucking special.

It's fine, a little under normal truth be told but nothing to worry about.
To be honest an awful lot of football is just wankery about individuals rather than teams and it's all heading down the shitter so there's not a bit pile to like. The Leicester thing has been fun but there's not going to be anything to top that and it's all getting incredibly boring. I think my own time on this shithouse is aligning with my waning interest too.

Bayern and Barca 'mate' have been replaced for a few years now by 'Atleti mate', so fuck that theory.

They were, but how much of that was down to him is questionable. He was brilliant there, but look at the players he had. How could he not be brilliant?

I don't disagree, but Rijkaard had the same players and they were, relatively speaking, a bit shit the previous year. The 5-0 when they swept Mourinho's Madrid aside was excellent. I also saw that team live a month before when they took Panathinaikos apart and it was football from a different planet.

It's different. 'Atleti mate' is for contrarians like Waff or for the sort of hipsters that buy Dortmund jerseys in America. 'Barca mate' is for dinguses like Foe.

Seen a good few US folk on Twitter sporting them since around Christmas.

Only thing is though that kids don't really do teams any more (they 'support' Messi) so you won't have the situation in 20 years of poor people stuck like Blackburn duped so many in the '90s.

Bottler is generally overused, however, Navas is such a massive bottler. He'll always play the easy ball and always shirk responsilbility.

Same can be said for most of the City squad. Their recruitment over the last 2 or 3 seasons has been dreadful.

I think I've seen him touch the ball twice and other than that, he's just jogging very slowly.

I can't imagine it'll be long before Ihenacho comes on.

@CJay Agreed, they've really failed to build on the title wins. They also just don't seem that arsed in lots of league games.

If you want the full Chelsea strip, including "premium" shirt, with name, numbering and Premier League logo, it will set you back £145.

    Well done, Chelsea.

Seen a Tweet earlier comparing the £101 Chelsea shirt to a £104 Bayern Munich season ticket. Is that right? Where are the seats for a £104 season ticket, Berlin?

This is one of the most woeful 'goal-chasing' performances I've ever seen. Dreadful. No pace, no pressure.

Real Madrid have been terrible too.

Both Aguero and De Bruyne have been worse. I want to know how many times they've lost possession tonight.

Fair play to them. If you're the sort of cunt that wants a premium shirt with badges and a name on the back you deserve to get fleeced. Football would be a far better place if all clubs took the same approach.

What an utterly limp effort that was from City. Madrid weren;t much better but at least they have some tidy midfielders. Dull tie.

Even when I was a dreaming teenager I never wanted a football shirt. Why would you? The material's horrid and you look like a twat.
