I'm sure under WADA rules the minimum ban is 2 years, unless you can convince them that it was either unintentional or you were unaware.
Football traditionally hands out 6ish month bans for this. He may be hoping to get himself banned quickly so he'll be back early next year. If they have any sense they wont make his ban start until August.
Kolo got 6 months, so I'd expect roughly the same. He'll miss the Euros and be out until a bit before Xmas.
I can't understand how these sports people end up in these situations. I guess they're just simpletons.
Just before the Hillsborough verdicts as well.
If you're getting paid tens of thousands of pounds a week you could employ someone to check literally every single thing you ingest, as such there's no excuse for failing one of these things.
Indeed. No excuses to be taking banned substances, whether for legitimate reasons or nefarious ones. He should get at least a 12 month ban.
Jesus what a clot, throw the book at him.
We should check what media coverage this requires so no-one gets their panties in a twist again.
Kenny Dalglish has a Sakho t shirt on as we speak.
It's been pretty obvious though, hasn't it? Gone from a dogshit walking accident to a decent centre back in the space of about two months.
I want some of whatever he's been on.
I'm a twit
Did a credible rumour emerge as to why Rio Ferdinand missed his test years ago, or was he just actually a retard?
Was busy merc'ing David "Jamo" James at a local art gallery.
I'm a twit
How often are footballers tested? Is it every match (or thereabouts) or has he been using whatever hes been using forever and only just been pulled up on it? What even is a fat burner? Or water tablet for that. Are they just means of masking more nefarious things?
I do feel a bit sorry for them when they get busted. I try to put myself in there position and think "would I get caught doing something like this?". Which is followed by a prompt "I'm a fucking idiot, of course I would!".
Yep. Morale and coaching seem the more logical explanation.
Why is a fat burning tablet banned anyway?
Some performance enhancers hang around in fat deposits, it's the same reasoning for some diuretics being banned as they can be used to flush other things out of your system.
