Ive been surprisingly entertained by our Europa games lately but this one is back to form. Absolutely desperate stuff.
I don’t think either team has created anything that could be described as better than a snatching attempt at the ball.
The idea that xhaka, someone who has no idea how to tackle, can play at left back is baffling.

Re. Xhaka: what is he good at? I'm convinced that if he was right-footed he'd have had half the career. I'm not watching tonight but during Monday's game and whenever else I've seen him, there doesn't seem to be anything he excels at, and he is quite poor at a few things.
I’m not sure what he’s good at specifically but every time he doesn’t play we are worse so he clearly does something. Seems to link defence and attack.

Mason Mount is going to have a tragedy of a career. Not only does he sound like a little-used ODI venue in New Zealand, but he has one of those compact little bodies that foreign coaches at top, top clubs always dispense with in favour of chunky Brazilians with sleeve tattoos. Like Josh McEachran, but better and more so.
