It's back open and the league is renewed. No idea what the code is for any noobs.

Obviously far too early to rate teams properly but...

- Will Brighton win the league?
- Who's the 3rd Liverpool player you will be selecting?
- Will Dallas be worth it?
- Is Saka going to be fit for more than 2 consecutive games?
- Is Toney going to disappoint?

I see nothing of note from the promoted sides besides Toney and possibly Sarr and Pukki and pricing and positions seem very decent so hard to see any mad gems currently.

First glance Raphinha seems under priced, he should match Bamford for 1.5 less.

Ben White and Conor Coady ought to be in everyone’s team at 4.5 each.

Brighton are shit and Ben White doesn't score any goals. They finished 16th last season.

Its the Spurs defence that interests me, you could potentially have two starting 4.5m defenders for a top 6 side.

Or Rodon. Only issue would be if they bounce around between the three. I can't remember a starting 4.5 defender at Spurs since before Pochettino.

Arsenal quite often have a 4.5 defender, I think Holding was 4.2m at one point last season.

Shit compared to a 'big six' team we may be, but after Sanchez came in I believe we had the 3rd best defence.

Plus, like Baz said, he might go to Arsenal - and they had the 2nd best defence from December-ish.

Brighton don't concede many, but they also don't keep many clean sheets. Like, they never take a real beating, but often ship 1 (and draw or lose 1-0).

Everyone and their mum has him though so it's not got me keen. Personal FPL stalwart Joshua King has parked himself at Watford for 1.0 cheaper.

Mbuemo? Same price as Emil “ESR” Smith-Rowe at 5.5. Interesting.

I'm unsure about King. I look at Watford's forward list and there's hundreds of them.

All complete shit though, King aside. Obviously will change still but...

Doubt any players who played in the semis of the Euros will play the first week or two. Could be wrong, but think most only started training in the last week so won’t even have played any friendlies.

Do we think Ings and Watkins are both going to play for Villa? I can't find better value (good) forwards than them.

Think so but Watkins to play out wide. I’d imagine Ings would take the penalties. I’ve went for Iheanacho since Leicester have an easy start to the season and then Pukki and Toney as I’ve stacked the midfield

Foden and De Bruyne "out for a while" [assuming not mindgames], Grealish on the bench for Sunday, makes him more appealing. Could be Mahrez's obligatory golden period as well.

And too many people auto-enroll from being in the league historically (props to Andy for keeping it going so long) so can't expect people to pay after the fact. You could try a seperate paid league but I tried it last season (or maybe the year before) and not enough people were interested to bother with it.

Watching the Brighton horror show this evening has me doubting the widsom of my Sanchez GK strategy, even with their soft start.

I'm going in on Tsmikas.

He's had a decent pre-season and it'll be a bit depressing (and a bit of a slap in the face) if 750 year James Milner gets the nod at leftback (I think there's a chance he starts in midfield anyway). It's fairly risk free at 4.0 as I'm not maxing out with better/more expensive Liverpool players.

Yeah, the only sacrifice with the Greek is Jota but Bobby and Mane will be taking minutes from him so fuck him.

Why would you not go with three strikers?

That's definitely interesting from a picking up bargains who might play perspective. My team is leaning heavily on United and Liverpool at the moment as they both look to have pretty easy starts, which concerns me.

Head truly went last night and I'm currently sitting on an activated Bench Boost under the thinking that to have the extra 4 players be able to take advantage of a double GW is rare and fixtures and my GW1 team were naturally close enough to what my team now is to make it viable.

I have one space in my starting XI and the candidates are an Arsenal defender or a Brentford defender. This could define the whole season.
