I don't know what more they need to do to be banned from competing forever.
They should just do what every other sports team does and not get caught.
They haven't really been banned though have they? The majority will just compete under "Athletes from Russia or whatever.
They have to prove themselves clean to partake.
Why bother trying to cleanse your reputation by hosting a World Cup, only to inevitably get tangled up in all this murky shit again?
I'm not sure the football team can compete under 'athletes from Russia'. Or can they? An all grey kit with no logos, and sing a long C note as their anthem.
You just wouldn't want it anywhere near a proper sporting event and to that end, I don't know why the Olympics put up with it last time. Legal reasons will be in there somewhere, but fuck that.
