Dublin maxed out at a 9 on the Beaufort scale yesterday. Palo Alto maxed out on an 8. https://www.windfinder.com. So, mildly windier in Dublin. An 8 is "gale force" at 62-74 kph, a 9 is "strong gale" at 75-88 kph. In Brighton, which is the station I checked in the UK, the Beaufort was also an 8, the same as Palo Alto.

Therefore, I am no more of a pussy than Shinners, and only a slightly greater pussy than Giggles. But then again, your entire country comes to a standstill at the sight of snowfall, and the London Marathon last year made news for taking place in 24 degree temperatures, so I still win.

Shinners is well close to Brighton to be fair.

Yeah you've quoted all my posts but I still don't know what you're trying to say. 70 = 130 in particular is a riddle to me. Are you trying to compare Palo Alto with that alphabet soup village in the highlands?

We've now had about three hours of horrible, wispy snow this morning. Not the fun kind that crunches underfoot, it's the kind which turns into slush immediately and ruins everyone's day.
