Watching the West Wing for the first time - just onto the start of season 2 and did not appreciate my emotional investment!

Finally seeing a new taskmaster now (they’re spread out). At first look it’s very very bad compared to the old ones I’ve been watching, though I suppose that happens all tv shows. Maybe bad timing on channel 4’s part.
The first episode (assuming that's the one you're watching) was pretty crap bar 1 task. It was a lot better in the next episode.
The “look in my wheelie bag” thing is all I’ve seen. Maybe it’s a low point but if it’s any sort of sample then it’s lost it. For a show that’s normally very good, it’s fucking terrible.
That's the newest episode and a brilliant task so if you're not feeling that...
It’s ‘ran out of ideas’ territory.
Started watching Marvellous Mrs Maisel on Amazon - great stuff so far and Rachel Brosnahan :wub:

I recall doing an Amazon Preview survey thingy, the ones where they Chuck you a voucher, on the series marketing and basically saying the tile, poster, trailer etc all made me extremely unlikely to watch it, looking as it did like a Mad Men for women in the worst possible way, but the first 5 episodes have been excellent.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Ted Lasso is alright. Nothing like the trailer. It's quite a heart-warming number, with a few proper lols. Crucially, easy to digest in one super sitting.
The only downside is the main "baddy" - he's a cunt, a crap actor, and a bit of a silly stereotype.
He's a proper manc villain. (do agree with everything you said)
New BBC/HBO ting called Industry on iPlayer. Load of shite.

But it also came as my (complete amateur) faschinaion for chess has come back from out of nowhere (started Youtubing shit).
I’m two episodes into that chess thing and failing to see the real appeal. Like, it’s not bad or anything but I don’t see what’s extraordinary about it. Maybe it kicks on after.
I did 20 minutes of it before deciding I was right not to trust the judgement of a load of Superhero loving adults any further.
I'm onto the second season of Last Kingdom and a mix of the main characters allegiance swapping sides so many times and the timeline jumping forward I've got no idea who any of his mates/woman he's shagging that he's very sad about dying are because there's 3 of them a week.
Queen's Gambit is great. Pair of mongs.

That’s very much the pace of each season, I’d say having made it to the last couple of eps of S3. Start strong, finish strong, entertaining but a little insignificant in the middle.
