Jaamal Charles, what a fucking idiot.
The Chiefs bottled that good and proper.
With the arteries Andy Reid obviously houses in surprised he's still knocking about.
Fumbles, dropped picks, stupid interceptions. Jesus.
Not seen the GamePass of it yet but sounds like the Denver D was sound again and Manning wasn't a total shambles.
Manning was a total shambles until the last 2-3 minutes of the first half. After that he was pretty decent. They kept making a big deal out of "THAT WAS ALMOST A PICK" or "THAT WAS OVERTHROWN" even after that, but in reality the Kansas D made some great plays. One of the supposed "should have been picked off" was right into Thomas's hands until the defender knocked it out... hardly Manning's fault at all.
Kansas City were pretty woeful, Charles aside. One of their picks in particular was straight at the defender with no WR in sight. Denver were fully deserving of the win, even if the way they got it was fairly lucky.
Marcus Peters played well for the Chiefs. He's the one who had the pick six and he made always had good coverage.
Kc Offense was a shambles. I thought the defence carried them. Peters in particular was really impressive, particularly as a rookie.
The talib pick was incredible though.
College game day has a good late game (lsu winning the battle of the Tigers).
The early game will be a blowout but I'm keen to see Conor cook for Michigan state. Could be a high draft qb for the Browns.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...e-on-tom-brady
This shit really annoys me.
If you have a first round grade on a player, you don't let them slip until the end of the sixth round.
Fuck off with that shit Polian.
Aye, if you had first-round grades for him and he got as far as even the third or fourth (I can accept why you might not take a QB if you were shit in other areas) there's not a chance you'd let him slip.
He's either lying or an idiot. Or both, of course.
It's a completely non event as a news story.
There's no way of proving it and there's nothing to be gained from it. All it does is make it look like you're an idiot not taking a guy you knew was going to be a star, or a lying bastard.
As expected Jeremy Johnson is looking very shaky.
Ohio state faltering early against Northern Illinois too. Interesting.
Also, the lsu cheerleaders
Fucking ballsacks.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...-out-six-weeks
Don't like that Bill O'Brien has walked from Hoyer so quickly.
Yes he was shit but the Chiefs defence are one of the best in football and Mallet came in at pretty much garbage time. I think it was 27-9 at the time when he came in so obviously was going to look good as they weren't trying as hard.
Oh and lol at Da Bears giving away a 109 kickoff TD return.
Media will be wanking all over that despite the fact that Sensabaugh did an absolutely woeful job.
He wasn't looking at the ball or the player :cab:
I'm interested to see how long my liking Rex Ryan lasts now he's not doing his schtick at the Jest...
"The Jest." :D
The bills are imploding and AP is back
What a pick by butler. His body was going in the other directions be everything.
40,000 passing yards for Brother Eli
:cool:ing Peterson. :nono:
As a neutral he's phenomenal to watch. He went overboard in disciplining his son (using the old "it was fine in my day") excuse but that doesn't make him any less of a magnificent RB to watch. Judge him on the field. He's not your friend, what the fuck does it matter what he does off it?
Lots of players are good to watch but I'm not dropping them all :cool:s.
Won't somebody think of the children? :(
I was going to add a clause in there about the 'seriousness' or 'nature' but actually it's a bit irrelevant.
Hernandez isn't coming back, that's a given. He's done. Ray Rice is a twat, no doubting that. If he gets another shot I'm not going to be whopping him praise as a person. If he does something  on the field I'm all for that. I'm here to watch the game, not be a fucking humanitarian.
Oh how I'd missed Jimmy Clausen :D
Travis Benjamin is having a monster game.
So fun that I'm playing against him in my Dynasty league, who to make things worse, also give points based on return yards.
Travis Benjamin has almost as many points as my whole team thus far :moop:
The Saints trailing to the Buccaneers is all kinds of :cab:
I can't think of a team that was so good drop to first pick in the draft levels so quickly.
Colts...
Although they did lose Peyton and had no QB that year.
That's a fair shout actually. Wonder where Curtis Painter is these days?
Don't think he was even in a camp this year.
At home watching the NFL, just like us.
That was a shocker from Brees.
Based on that throw, his arm just isn't there.
It seems that Peterson is only good at gripping things that he can beat his son with.
That flip from Newton was ridiculous.
Please not another late collapse to lose :face:
Eli to throw an interception when it looks like we might score a winning TD :nodd:
Another shite start with late season wins beckons. What a boring pile of shite.
If the Bills win from here.
Toggle Spoiler
What a waste of a challenge.
Lol at that. Woof.
That's ace, Bruce. :D
Crockett Gilmore is looking damn good today.
It would be nice if Flacco would stop under-throwing receivers.
Giving up a TD pass to a sorry receiver :face:
Fuck knows what Will Hill was doing there.
At least Romo has been wanked all over there.
The NFC East is such a shambles. Good to see I was right about the Chip Kelly hype train and the Cowboys aren't going to have another season like last year, they'll likely win the division by default.
0-2 is a bit wank, but both aways so understandable even if St Louis made it look worse with their follow up. Last year was a creaky start too, although only one more defeat is allowed in the next five weeks to at least match that.
Seattle going 0-2
Luck's first drive = interception
Luck and the Colts
10 turnovers for the Jets defence in 2 games.
That's pretty damn lethal.
Bam Bam Kam back in the mix apparently.
With no contract extension though.
Oh and this is making me lol like crazy:
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...-gifted-passer
"This quarterback Weeden can drive the ball down field," Jones told KRLD-FM, via The Dallas Morning News. "He's a thing of beauty on throwing a football. His passing motion and his arm, frankly, you won't see a more gifted passer, power, accuracy, the entire aspect of it. If he can basically prepare, be the starting quarterback, come in and execute and keep his head right, then I feel good about Weeden."
http://a2.fssta.com/content/dam/fsdi....medium.48.png
http://static03.mediaite.com/sportsg...ce-628x344.jpg
Going to be lots more of this going on if Weedon is the answer
They've got Cassell in now. The worst passer and the 4th worst over the last few years. :D (Can't remember the exact stats, but I read that earlier)
As Matt Williamson said the other day, Weeden holds the ball too long but that should matter less behind the Dallas line.
It's just that he can't accurately deliver the ball even with time.
They're just lucky the division is so shit though that all they need to do is break even until Romo comes back for Tampa.
The Bengals are going to get dicked on.
A firework burning part of the artificial turf in St Louis :D
Nice to see Luke McCown making a completion. Finally. :D
It would be nice if we stopped giving away stupid penalties.
6 for 42 yards already today.
Are the Saints losing yet?
EDIT: Yep :harold: We have to be competing for the first pick at this point, surely? The defence has been poor for a good few years, and now it seems like the offence has fallen apart too. Brandin Crooks seems to be one of the only positives of the season so far, although a RB duo of Ingram & Spiller seems to have potential too.
What the fuck is going on with Andrew Luck this year? :cab:
But Rob Ryan is such a gutsy and passionate co-ordinator! :face:
Luck is having an absolute mare of a season.
Mike Vick shitting on the Steelers from the inside
http://static03.mediaite.com/sportsg...ce-628x344.jpg
How 'bout them Cowboys? :harold:
This is magnificent.
The Cowboys :D
Dumervil and Mosley :alan:
9-7 wins the NFC East this year. :nodd:
AJ Green
And the Luck hype train shall kick into overdrive.
Steve Smith has been amazing today.
Fucking lol at that 2 point conversion attempt by Tennessee
Would be nice if we actually covered Green...
Kapernick with a pick 6 on his first pass of the game though.
Colin always knows how to make me happy.
Oh my god.
Second pass, second pick 6 :D
This is amazing.
Edit: Sorry, the second came on his 4th pass.
Kaepernick. :harold:
Bench the cunt after that! :D
First play of the second half and Kaepernick is picked off for the fourth time :D
What a hero
We may be shit, but at least we don't have Kaepernick at QB.
And the defence is starting to make CJ0k look like a world beater again.
This Niners defence against Rodgers next week :|
It's going to be a bloodbath.
Not if Justin Houston takes care of him first.
Tyler Lockett's already aced it with a punt return and now a record kickoff return. It's like Percy Harvin but without saving it exclusively for one game.
Friend of mine sent me this about the Patriot's and their near-inability to fumble since 2006, when a certain QB named Tom Brady proposed a rule change allowing every team to provide its own balls to use on offense, home or away.
http://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com...-proof-in-2007
His offensive line is getting more atrocious every year and the Colts management keep wasting all their money on washed up skill position players.
Luck's good enough to turn Donte Moncrief and T.Y. Hilton into Pro Bowl players, he doesn't need dickheads like Frank Gore and Andre Johnson. Give him an offensive line and let him get on with it.
Colts have always been fucking stupid about not drafting or signing linemen though. They're basically starstruck wankers who've been fortunate enough to have two Hall of Fame quarterbacks so nobody notices they haven't had a decent draft since the mid 90s.
As a Colts fan I've not really got much time for the Cheatriots, but that was pretty thoroughly debunked:

That'll teach me for listening to friends.

From last week, you'd be hard pushed to find a better stiff arm.
Can someone explain why George Osborne is still talking up the idea of a London franchise?
It would have to host all its games in a block since the travelling would be ridiculous, there is no London stadium that would be available for such a block (or perhaps even at all), it would mean removing an existing team from America where NFL is more than a passing fad... the £££ can't even be much on top of the existing $$$. Plus we would have to give them special tax breaks and all sorts of things.
So what's going on? Am I missing something?
The travelling wouldn't be horrendous. There's only 8 games a year away and it'll be a while before they can make it to the play-offs. I imagine they'll get into something like the NFC East, probably replacing the Redskins. It would also give them a way to get European sponsors into the NFL. Also in the NFL a team can fuck off somewhere else and still be the same team. Location doesn't mean all too much.
They were touting a Mexico game not long back too, so expect more stuff like this to be explored.
It would be, the London team would finish 8-8 every year (all home wins and away losses).
It's not viable until some sort of super transport is made, right now it's more of a pipe dream to keep the Brits hanging on in there and to maximise profit during the London games.
Also you'd get so many draft holdouts, I doubt some dickhead is going to want to pitch up from Florida to go to London.
The traveling logistics are the least important factor in this, as Mahow says the draft hold outs and players not wanting to be based in London for even half of a season are sticking issues. That and the novelty of the UK fans going to see one of three games as an NFL fan would wear off quickly when fans had to cheer for the London Monarchs (arf) or the visiting team. The NFL have fucked about with LA for long enough, they're not going to move a team from the US to the UK to the huge detriment of the overall NFL brand, then you're looking at expansion teams which are even less likely.
Be good for Jimmy to see his Arizona Cardinals in the flesh if it happened though.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-34430305
The New York Jets shipped their own toilet paper to London for their NFL clash at Wembley, because they had been warned British paper was "very thin."
:D
Are you serious? :D
I think the London idea is more of an expansion thing than a re-location thing. Plus it's nice leverage to needle recalcitrant states and cities when the time comes to threaten to move their team if they don't pay for a new stadium.
Is anyone else heading to Wembley tomorrow?
Ndamukong Suh might be there, then again he might not bother turning up. :nodd:
Couldn't go this year, but hoping there's some good teams on next year and I'll be on that.
I'm still waiting for the Ravens to pitch up.
I'd rather just go to the US and take in a game properly.
I'd probably get stabbed if I went to Baltimore though.
You get hot dogs and shite beer at Wembley though? :sorry:
I'd love for the Eagles to come over but I don't see them giving up a home game. If not I'd love to see a game with 2 good teams.
That's pretty much the conditions for me to go and see another game, all of the offerings since I went have been shite on paper. Fuck seeing the Jaguars unless they're against the Giants.
I'll go see them if Allen Robinson keeps donning it for my fantasy team and the tickets on offer. If not then I'm not fussed about seeing them. Going to the other 2.
Kept checking the NFL store to see if/when the Tebow shirts would come on sale. They now are. It'd cost £65 in total from the USA. Whereas having one custom from the Europe shop will have it in total as £76 with a 15% discount code applied.
Only catch is I'd have to go XL from the US as L is sold out. However they do say to order one up. My last Liverpool shirt was an XL so I'm thinking it would be just right, but don't want to be wrong for obvious reasons. I'm just getting too big for a L here so I should be good, right?
A US XL would probably entirely cover one of the home counties.
https://gyazo.com/7c6dc62c8d3b7b91e68684e17367e19c.png
This is the sizing chart they give. That to me looks pretty in line with the UK right?
My size was spot on tbh.
The sizes seem to line up with the Liverpool FC shops definition of XL, which I'm currently in. So I think XL it is.
Also the facht(!) that it's £11 cheaper from the US is a bit lol.
Customs might hit you for harder than that though.
Do some Googling.
When I bought mine 5 years ago I got it delivered to a cousin who lives in New York who was coming back here for Christmas.
There's a UK duty/tax fee applied at checkout, with it saying no further payment will be required upon delivery.
I take it that'd cover customs?
Oh fair play then.
Steve Smith has broken 4 ribs and Michael Campanaro has been put on IR with a herniated disk. As such we've given the Rams a 7th round pick for the fairly meh Chris Givens.
Oh and the Steelers have cut Scobee.
https://gyazo.com/4f918fbe6fd71144f26846198fd5df6e.png
https://gyazo.com/8e9b37fa2bc1e444714cff3b14e1bd49.png
Should be covered then as far as I know.
It wasn't his ribs.
He's got four small microfractures in his back.
He's already been ruled out of our next match.
Crazy that he was trying to walk it off on the sidelines during the match.
Scobee wasn't even that good for the Jags, didn't really understand the Steelers signing him in the first place.
Carlson back on our TV's
Always good to have Osi too.
The dolphins are looking terrible here. Does suh have a sack for the Dolphins yet?
Osi on the sofa in BBC's studio :( Giants could probably use him on the field!
Dolphins Defence looks horrid.
I don't think you could make teeth yellower than Jay Ajyai's.
Miami Lolphins.
:D
Yeah because that clearly wasn't pass interference.
Maybe the refs are feeling sorry for the Dolphins.
How shite are the Dolphins?
I nearly saw them last year :moop:
Marshall has 7 receptions :D
That's a bit :serious:
Redzone in HD on Sky Sports 4 this weekend
Scenes.
Well that was as balls as promised.
Probably the worst international game since the Niners/Jaguars.
Winston really is Geno Smith levels of special.
The best fumble ever that from Carolina.
Pops out right into the hands of Ed Dickson who has a free run to the end zone.
That td by the bengals was lovely.
A lot is being said about Phillbin being on the hot seat but O'Brien's is probably hotter right now.
I loved every second of the Dolphins being shit. :D
Seems the Eagles passing game has decided to turn up.
Fucking hark at the Texans, what a fucking mess of a team.
Eagles bottom of the division at 1-3 :harold:
Letting four rushers get to your QB so easily, on back to back plays, is absolutely criminal.
lol at Agholor.
Fumbles far too easily and then lobs that cross field lateral right to a defender.
Icing the kicker costing the Colts
When will coaches realise that icing is such a stupid thing to do.
Although he still shanks it.
Didn't think we'd actually lose to the Redskins.
I laughed so hard at the commentary on that Myers field goal. "THE SNAP IS GOOD THE HOLD IS GOOD" despite the fact it was always clear he'd missed by a mile.
How long until Chip Kelly's dismantling of the Eagles talented roster is put under the spotlight? He's had an easy ride of it for too long.
Wheeling in and beating up a Rex Ryan team never gets boring for the Giants, the big bastard.
Philbin has got to go
Myers sitting the bed.
Kaepernick throwing a pick? I'm stunned.
I think Kelly gets away with it because he actually does have a plan. He's been kinda screwed by the NFL deciding to allow open season to the QB after handoffs on the read-option, though. Plus I don't think even he knows what he was thinking with the whole Sam Bradford thing.
I'd be willing to give him a bit of extra time to adjust his offense and get a QB in place who has more mobility than a glacier. The rest of the team is OK, the defense is still functioning.
They'd do a fuckton better if they played to Demarco Murray's strengths and let him run up the middle a few times.
He's no Lesean McCoy, yet they keep playing him like he is.
I don't think their offensive line has much hope of opening the kind of holes Murray likes up the middle against most teams.
Couldn't understand why they signed a player like that at all.
Yea, because Shady and his one hamstring would be better than the NFL's leading rusher.
But they're not playing to that rusher's strengths, they're still playing to Shady's strengths.
Obviously Elth but I'd rather have Murray running straight through the pack (even if the holes are small) than trying to bounce it outside on every single play.
Lynch is ruled out for later, but Rawls has already shown more than Turbin and Christine Michael managed so here's hoping.
I think I'd rather have Mathews actually trying to get a few yards outside than 3 rushes for -1 yards and a punt.
They've systematically changed their offensive line to be mobile and fast. They're just not built to open holes up the middle - they're built to seal the edge and get guys in space, then do it again every 15 seconds.
The constant hurry-up offence needs to go. If you have a 3-and-out it's only taking 20-30 seconds off the clock.
Philbin has been fired.
The Denver defense.
The Denver offense.
The Saints won a game
Admittedly it was against Dallas without their starting QB or best reciever. And they got rid of their star RB last year. And they had their best defensive player go off injured during the game. And their return guy got injured too. And we only won in overtime. But still, a win is a win.
Have there ever been more kicks missed in a day of football than yesterday, by the way? Total madness.
There has, but I think they said it was the 2nd most since 2010 or something. It certainly wasn't normal. Almost all kickers look shit this year.
On Saturday during practice, Tannehill, after a couple of practice squad players forced turnovers, Tannehill made negative comments toward them, including saying: “Enjoy your practice squad paycheck, enjoy your practice squad trophy.”
Sources say this has been going on for the past few weeks as the practice squad players have been intercepting Tannehill and frustrating the former Texas A&M wide receiver turned quarterback. ...
Philbin told the practice squad players to take it easy on Tannehill to not affect the young quarterback’s confidence.
Fucking hell. :D
Jesus wept. Any coach worth his salt would have told him to just beat them.
So Luck appears out completely for tonight and Hasselback has been in hospital through the week with illness.
Suddenly fancy the Texans in this one.
So glad Philbin is out, we needed this bye week too.
Did someone mention RedZone is in HD now?
T.Eifert is on my fantasy bench. He's already got a touchdown.
Seething.
Brees starting like Brees and Bradford starting like Bradford. Excellent news.
That cutler mishap was brilliant.
The state of that Aaron Rodgers pick though.
At the risk of repeating last weeks cursing. I'll say again that the Eagles quick passing game really is getting going. Some shambolic drops from our WRs though.
Finally Rodgers chucks one to the opposition.
It's a harsh interception really. It's more a fumble than a pick when a pass gets flapped in the air like that.
This Saints/Eagles game is shite enough for me to resort to RedZone on the computer and the Scotland game on TV. I can't think of a season that has so many average/poor teams in it, the best teams are just miles ahead of the pack.
4 fumbles and a pick helps, but we looked a lot better this week.
Cairo Santos for the win on a 66 yarder? :D
Miles off :(
The #scenes if he would have made that.
Giving up 400+yds to Josh McCown and the Cleveland Browns, what's up with that shit @Mahow?
It also doesn't help that Mosely, who is usually incredible in coverage, can't get near Gary fucking Barnidge today.
Jamaal Charles out for the season by the sound of it.
EDIT: Lol @ the Lions being 28-7 at home before the 2 minute warning.
Another reason why the Ravens secondary was so poor was that Dumervil was out for the second half (so less pressure on McCown), then Will Davis was knocked out of the game (torn ACL), then Webb and finally Arrington in the fourth quarter.
We had a safety playing in the nickel with a rookie playing outside of a hobbling Jimmy Smith.
It's time to unleash Charles James on the league :nodd:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CNGWol4UEAEdfe8.jpg
So fucking awesome on Hard Knocks.
Jason Babin and Rashaan Melvin waived to bring up Asa Jackson and Charles James to the active roster.
Tebow shirt came. Unfortunately I think XL is just too much. It's more towards the larger scale of the measurements. It's a pain in the ass there are no stores to try these on in the UK. I could probably get away with it wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath so it's not horrific.
Still, not sure to keep or try and sell on.
I just found out that John Urschel (Baltimore Ravens guard) is pretty handy at maths.
http://arxiv.org/pdf/1412.0565v1.pdf
He co-wrote this paper.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CAqf0UtWEAAqM6B.jpgQuote:
In this paper, we develop a cascadic multigrid algorithm for fast computation of the Fiedler vector of a graph Laplacian, namely, the eigenvector corresponding to the second smallest eigenvalue. This vector has been found to have applications in fields such as graph partitioning and graph drawing. The algorithm is a purely algebraic approach based on a heavy edge coarsening scheme and pointwise smoothing for refinement. To gain theoretical insight, we also consider the related cascadic multigrid method in the geometric setting for elliptic eigenvalue problems and show its uniform convergence under certain assumptions. Numerical tests are presented for computing the Fiedler vector of several practical graphs, and numerical results show the efficiency and optimality of our proposed cascadic multigrid algorithm.
Having read the returns guide that came with the top, it's almost pointless sending it back. They don't seem to cover the cost of shipping back and it states they will not cover the original shipping cost. The shirt itself cost $60 and if I shipped it back I'd probably come out of the whole thing with about £30, having spent £65.
It's wearable, with a hoodie or long sleeved t-shirt underneath, but not an ideal fit. The Mrs has suggested eBaying it and trying again. Though doing that wouldn't get me a shirt at sale price, so I looked at the 'limited' range(more premium materials, names and numbers are stitched on, not printed) and thanks to nearly $60 worth of shipping/taxes, that would come out at about £125 all in. Getting the same one again, not in a sale would be just over £90.
I want one that fits me just on principle now, but either way it's all a bigger hassle than if we just had a decent UK store.
Might sit up & watch us get shat on by the Falcons for a bit tonight. Wanted to watch the Thursday game last week as I had three days in a row off but my internet died & has only just come back so I'm going to make up for it while I can.
We've been shit on defence for a good three seasons, and now the offence is falling apart as well it does seem like there's talk of Payton and/or Brees heading out the door before next season, along with Rob Ryan - who really ought to go considering we've gone from bad to awful on defence - all of which could lead to a very interesting offseason, even if the rest of this year is pretty horrible.
When you get trounced by Chip Kellys' Eagles, something has gone badly wrong. We looked terrible up until the Saints game last week and then smashed you. Hopefully it's a good game at least. I don't really want to play Brees tonight but I have little choice.
We have a terrible secondary, no pass rush, no running game & a deteriorating passing game.
On the bright side we have two young recievers who might not be shit, and the potential for some good draft picks & a lot of free cap room in the near future. Woohoo...
I will be strange to see a Saints without Brees. He's been there a good 10 years now right?
2006, apparently. I have no idea about college football, so I don't know if there's anyone good coming up that could be drafted, otherwise I guess we'll end up having to try to nick a placeholder QB from somewhere or hold on to Brees for one more year & pray.
I hear Tim Tebow is available.
Excellent. We could probably use him in about eight different positions at the minute.
Fuck your 4th & 1 play
Follow it up with an immediate three-and-out. That's more like it.
The Falcons :harold:
If they lose this...
Well...:D
That was glorious.
FUCKING WHAT
We're gonna win the SuperBowl.
For any Falcons fans, I've just put £10 on them to win the game.
You're in safe hands now...
That was pretty epic. Shame the Falcons will win this now.
Well at least we had one good quarter.
Might even get a decent second too.
That fumble :D
Keep Coleman in over Freeman please Atlanta.
What an absolute sack of shit Ingram is. Spiller's hardly flying either, mind.
Atlanta is shitting the bed hard here.
The state of that snap. :D
What is going on here?! :D
Well that was pretty great. Atlanta totally bottled it, but Benjamin Watson absolutely bossed it.
Devonta Freeman looks shit hot, it's a shame we've got two guys on our side who can barely make a yard between them,
Not too shabby.
Heard them on about that on the radio this morning. Some catch.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...4year-32m-deal
Marshal 'The Best Guard in the NFL' Yanda has signed a 4 year extension.
He's probably the only player who has looked good in every single game this season.
The Lions :harold:
The ref has completely fucked that call up.
Tate was being engaged before the ball crossed the line.
Dolphins
Think that's five sacks in the first half.
The Jest doing the NFC East leading Giants a favour
That td by Marvin Jones
With 4 of them coming from Wake.
The talk all week was Stafford being benched but he's playing.
That Jones TD was just..
American commentators do make me lol.
See a bloke hobble off on crutches, "his return is questionable".
Someone do the humane thing and take Peyton out the back of the shed...
All the great teams lose to the Browns...
Emmanuel Sanders :harold:
Too busy celebrating so the Broncos can't clock it.
Peyton :D
Mingo
So nice of our secondary to make Kaepernick look like the greatest passer to have ever graced a football field :\
So yeah, that fourth down play by the Colts, huh?
No words.
Don't know what they were thinking.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...y-through-2020
Jags until 2020, what fun.
At least there's something to lol at each year, I guess.
Hoping for some better match-ups for 2016.
San Francisco looked all sorts of useless last night on offence again.
Of course they did, because they were playing an actual defence...
People were starting to wank all over Kaepernick again but they should have realised the Giants and the Ravens simply made him look good as they both have problems defensively.
It's a bit like Carlton Cole scoring 8 goals against some Sunday League team, the media declaring him the greatest striker of all time and then he does jack shit against a Premiership side.
Oh and he wasn't even that good against the Giants and his stats could have been so much better if he was actually accurate, they also could have looked worse had our secondary not dropped two easy interceptions.
As much as Denver's offense would make it an even game I think the Kaep haters would love to see him up against Denver's pass rush.
The carnage.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...for-relocation
Chargers will file for relocation to LA as they're scared that the Raiders and Rams might do so too.
I'm not too up on the backstage politics of the NFL, but what is the obsession with an LA based team? It's not exactly been a proven success in the past with the Rams or the Raiders.
All about the cash prospects. That and all of the teams mooted have been rank average for ages, might as well be rank average and make serious cash. That and it's a good bargaining chip for the city to try and keep the team where they are by building a new stadium for the team, San Diego in particular play in a supposed shithouse of a stadium.
It's coming up on 50 years old and apparently has the fans a fair bit removed from the action, according to the 100% accurate Wikipedia. Bit shit on the fans, but like you say, the owners will be looking at all that cash.
So as of 2018 we'll be getting a minimum of 4 games a year?
This is going to be a long day for Manuel.
Surely he saw that blitz coming and should have lobbed it away or tucked it.
The Jags
EJ Manuel's done a good job of showing why he isn't the starting QB so far today.
Manuel :harold:
All this is making Tyrod Taylor look amazing, give him a bumper contract lads so the Ravens can get a better compensatory pick.
3 TDs in what, 30 seconds? Incredible.
Rex Ryan the big bastard might as well have not bothered flying over :harold:
Oh shit.... :D
What scenes :harold:
Bench Manuel now, or this is going to hit triple figures.
The EJ Manuel show is quite good.
Time for the best QB of all time, Josh Johnson to get out there, surely.
I assume he's the best, because almost everyone has signed him in the last 2 weeks.
Even the Bills rush defence is a mess today.
How do you, as a professional kicker, miss three extra points within the first six-and-a-half games of the season?
Not practicing enough? :D
That's got to be the worst hurry up offense I've ever seen. Could have got a few shots at a TD in but they just took too long over every single play.
Why have they all got poppies on already? Isn't that in November?
I don't know why the Jags gave it to Gerhart 4 times there, he showed no conviction whatsoever for any of those rushes. He never really tried to push, as soon as any sort of contact came in he gave up.
Mix it up or let Yeldon, who has shown a lot today try it.
What a pathetic bit of running back play from Gerhart there - just strolled straight into tackles.
Reminds me of Mark Ingram :(
Gerhart is really shit. What are they playing at when Yeldon is playing so well?
Or just throw it. What you don't do is run the exact same play with the same shit RB 4 times in a row.
That Gerhart shambles may well cost them this game.
Game on. Jags deserve this too, they've been so inept since the start. Need to show something now and close it out.
Choke-merchantry of the highest order here.
Bortles :D / :face:
Nice catch. They have something in them after all.
And at last a non shit NFL London game.
I fucking hate 'forward progress', refs blow the whistle far too early.
Horrible limp wristed throw that. Telegraphed all the way too.
Most enjoyable London game in a long time. Many lols to be had at the Bills. How was Manuel a 1st round pick?
Best game since the Lions/Falcons last year. When I go next year it'll be for a competitive match rather than one with a vastly superior team there to dick on the Jags or the like.
Patriots losing :eyemouth:
Texans and Colts taking a beating, by not great teams too.
Definitely the best Jags game so far, I'd imagine. Manuel is horrendous though, Bills will be delighted to have Tyrod back for the next game.
The Saints are 14-0 up on the Colts  Stephone Anthony looks pretty nifty, and Khiry Robinson has two TD's, so maybe we're finally going to give him a go over the other two steaming turds.
Probably for the best that Bill O'Brien be sacked by the Texans.
The Dolphins are stomping on them.
But JJ Watt is ace!
Shame the rest of the team is rank average. Well it isn't but y'know.
Choke incoming from the Saints.
Matty Ice and the Falcons :D
Thank fuck Troy Aikman is commentating on the Giants/Cowboys game! :face:
A Giants rushing touchdown! Set your video recorders for that one :D
Amari Cooper so good. Chargers defence is all kinds of horrible.
@The Bruce I'll believe that when I see it :D
The officials in this Cowboys/Giants game are having the worst night I've ever seen. Even Aikman thought that flag on the Giants was harsh which says it all.
Just pack these hopeless Chargers up and move them to LA. What a pointless franchise.
I've just heard Arian Foster tore his Achilles and is done for the season.
You have to think about sacking Foster off now if you're the Texans, he's never fit long enough to make a difference.
Dem Rrrrrrrraiders are pillaging the Chargers, what a pounding they're getting.
Fucking hell, a rushing touchdown and a pick 6 in the same game?!?!
Will be buying the DVD of this one!
I'm watching Raiders @ Chargers and it's all kinds of awful from the home team.
Amari Cooper though.
100 yard kick off return. They really are giving Bruce a show.
All in the same game?!? Usually you only watch the Giants offence play, but to score points on defence and special teams? :wank:
Madness opening up this Wembley game :D
Amazing.
They need to give De'Anthony Thomas more carries.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_uQW8XimU8
Black Mamba
That was such a good game. He had 2 carries, 155 yards with 2 TD's.
The Chiefs are back
Lions having another 'mare.
Stafford is doomed to be a middle of the road QB all of his days, he simply hasn't improved at all.
That's a good point.
Their offensive line has to be one of the worst in the NFL any time I've watched them. Not even being able to pretend you can run the ball and your QB getting planted on his arse every third play is high draft pick patter.
If Philip Rivers continues on this course of throwing hundreds of yards in garbage time and takes the season passing record, I'll be jacking the NFL in. Pointless cunts running up fantasy points when they're out of the game.
Todd Gurley really looks the part.
What a fucking catch that was by Allen.
Falcons have turned the ball over four times :)
Sounds like the Wembley game was a tad one-sided today - wish I hadn't agreed to work today now :moop:
EDIT: Saints defence forgot to cover OBJ there.
OBJ has 3TD's today :face:
Bress just threw an INT off a turnover as well. We're absolutely going to lose this one.
EDIT: Dez is active.
Drew Brees has gone mental. 6 TDs in one game.
6TD's for Brees, 4TD's for Eli. Are there actually any defensive players on the field?
Also, surprised nobody's mentioned Le'Veon Bell being carted off with a knee injury yet. Steve Smith has picked up a knock too, which means the Ravens are basically all in on Crockett Gilmore for the rest of the game.
Result aside, Rodgers needs to get through tonight without getting broken in half :uhoh:
Glad the Giants could turn up for Drew Brees Appreciation Day. The Redzone commentator either has him in his fantasy team or Brees' cock in his mouth, partisan cunt.
Someone fucking cover Odell Beckham! :D
Has there ever been an NFL game where both teams scored 50pts? Alternatively, has a team ever scored 40+pts and lost?
Eli is killing my fantasy football right now.
This Giants game is fucking mental :D
There's going to be 1000 total passing yards in this game :D
This is surely breaking all kinds of records, right?
Great hit from DRC, but fucking hell when are the points going to stop here?
Hopefully not now.
EDIT: Been thinking of getting GamePass recently. Might be worth it just to watch this game in full.
Spags and this Giants defence
So this is the first game in 50 years with 13TD's and no FG's. If we convert this drive it'll be the first since 1950 with 14TD's.
EDIT: And there it is :D
40 second left. Plenty of time for one more score.
What a fucking game.
That's the most bullshit ending I've seen in a long time. What a fucking joke.
How can you throw a flag over a minute after the end of the play and then tack on a face mask foul from the spot of the fumble that had been advanced illegally? Get right tae fuck.
I missed pretty much everything after the TD, since my internet has decided to act like a total fucking shambles for most of the last few weeks, and only saw the FG at the end.
What happened? From what I caught there was a fumble & the Saints recovered, and then some kind of penalty was chucked on top.
Saints returned it, fumbled it and recovered it a few yards further forward which you're not allowed to do. There was then a face mask call about a minute after Payton moaned at the referees but not immediately after the play which added 15 yards on from the recovery spot not the fumble spot. Field goal is made when it should have been further back and much more difficult.
Sean Payton is such a smug fucker too, the arsehole.
Shame to have such a game decided on a bullshit call like that.
Well that sounds like a suitably shambolic ending to the game. What's illegal about recovering a fumble upfield though? Not sure I quite get that bit.
Also, Steve Smith Sr is done for the season, and therefore probably done for good :(
So are you meant to just let the other team have the ball because it's rolled forward one inch? Seems kinda strange, unless it's an obvious deliberate chuck forward or something similar.
Raiders mugging off the Jets defence already  Fitz is out of the game too. Hopefully Geno Smith pulls an EJ Manuel.
Were some strong murmurs that Steve Smith would decide to have one more season, sadly he wont even get one more game :(
Such a shame that is how his career will end, although at least he passed Cris Carter for 10th in all time receiving yards.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_R...an_football%29
You can't advance a fumble for offensive benefit. Shit rule or not, why bother with refs if they can't implement them properly. That'll like see us fall to bits now.
I always thought Steve Smith was a gobby cunt, never nice to see some retire because of injury mind you.
Atlanta are being found out big time, their soft as fuck schedule had everyone pissing their pants about Matty Ice again.
David Carr's going to match Eli & Brees at this rate.
49ers O-Line is abysmal.
Clowney looks nothing like his game-tape, and now he's injured again.
Carson Palmer has the playmakers he has needed desperately since Chad and Houshmandzadeh back in the early oughties, and it shows.
What a strange rule, but yeah, it does sound like it's not been implemented properly here. The original play sounds like one of those clusterfuck end of game college plays, like the 8 lateral one Miami just had, and having just looked it up it seems like it'd just be an incompletion nowadays.
And yeah, the Falcons have been proper rubbish since losing to New Orleans. Hopefully the same doesn't happen to the Giants. Thoughts on JPP coming back, by the way?
We have absolutely fuck all pass rush so even a one hand, one clawed JPP is an improvement. We were happy to pay him too but I doubt he'll be with us next year, he'll piss off somewhere else for better money. Stupidest off season event to happen to the Giants since Plaxico shot himself in the leg with his own gun. We were due an off field circus.
The Raiders are fucking legit this year.
How I wish I'd kept Dan Bailey for tonight. :(
My Broncos finally clicking
Rodgers just seemed clueless with the Broncos defense.
The Packers offence is used to Rodgers having the time and luxury to scramble long enough for them to get open, same way The Steelers, Seahawks, 49ers currently do and Falcons of old used to. Broncos did a great job wrapping him in the pocket, and by standing underneath in man coverage it took away the easy short passes. At some point the Packers are going to have to start sending men out into the flats and running some seam routes because everything they did just split the field in half and there was nothing underneath or between the safeties.
Some of the delayed blitzes from Broncos were phenomenal. With the speed they moved it's impossible for the linemen to know who they need to block if they even feint for a second.
Give how shitawful the Colts are this season, I probably want Manning to retire with a second ring more than anything else season.
I would love that too, but not if the prick keeps winning games without any TDs.
https://www.rdsenvironmental.com/wp-...owl-trophy.jpg
Eli will be the only Manning with 2 Super Bowl rings I'm afraid gents.
Didn't bother gamepass-ing Denver's game as I thought the lack of an offense would finally get shown up and so just checked the score. :moop:
While in such a performance an offense has to have fucked up to an extent, did anybody watch it who can tell me how much the Denver D contributed to Rodgers doing fuck all? Phillips has done a hell of a job so far.
Is GamePass worth getting, Ian? Tempted by it this year, but my shitty, unreliable internet connection (which has just cut out AGAIN), plus the fact we're already halfway through the season, are putting me off this year.
I don't have it, I just use my brother-in-law's. Condensed games really are fucking excellent though.
Vernon Davis to Denver is confirmed.
Well.... hmm. That's interesting. Could be good for Manning if he has his shit vaguely sorted.
Davis is a few years removed from his best, but he's not that old and Manning has historically loved himself some Tight Ends.
Pollard, Dallas Clark, Thomas and even Tamme were all productive - Dallas and Thomas in particular producing WR like efforts.
The D was a big factor. Rodgers just couldn't buy time for any routes to develop and the Broncos weren't give up enough easy middle lanes for him to get the ball out quickly and consistently (and the Packers are too proud to go pure short and middle when there's nothing available long).
I really hope the Broncos stay healthy this season. One more Manning Brady conference title game plz
Comparing defenses. Does the legion of boom match up to the current Broncos defense?
Different approaches to the art of defense really. The Broncos D is more like the one that Giants rode to the Superbowl - good secondary, but it's mostly about smothering the offense at the line of scrimmage, rather than Seattle's suffocating coverage.
Indeed. Do you still have commentary, or is it straight up action only? Also trying to get a better understanding of individual players' skillsets & the tactical side of things, so having stuff like the All-22 cam & coaches film available as well is pretty appealing.
Good move, but there's still no way they get past the Patriots in the playoffs, even with their defence dominating everyone in the league.
The Colts :face: What's gone wrong there this season?
People hyping luck like he's the next messiah. That's what's happened.
Luck's hurt, the Colts spent all the free agency money on offensive "skill" players who are washed up and can't play, the coaches are too dumb to realise that and keep playing the washed up crippled veterans, they've blown 9 consecutive drafts, the have no offensive line, and they have no defensive line.
That's actually what happened.
Kaepernick has been benched going forward.
NFL has signed a deal with Twickenham for 1-3 games a year. Between that Wembley and Spurs we will surely get a franchise now.
They must be pushing for a franchise if they're only interested in hosting games in every available stadium in London. A bit shit as it means I'll have to travel into THE CITY to see the games, I'd have preferred them trying some other stadia across the country myself.
I feel like what they're doing here is seeing how demand for a near full season of games works out. By 2018 there'll be what? 2 games at Wembley, 2 at Spurs and at least 1 at Twickenham?
A franchise is surely incoming now.
Go Silly Nannies!
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ken-whisenhunt
Whisenhunt given his jotters, I knew they weren't doing well but his record there much than I thought!
Randle has been cut and Keenan Allen is going to IR after lacerating his kidney.
Randle wasn't much of a surprise but lacerating a kidney. I had no idea it was that bad.
There's not really any reason (other than LONDON!!) to not have at least tried some games elsewhere. Cardiff and Manchester ought to have been considered and given the Claymores there should definitely have been one in Scotland.
Rob Chudzinski has replaced Pep Hamilton as Colts offensive coordinator.
Packers/Panthers are on Pick TV this Sunday.
Just picked up GamePass & started watching the Saints/Giants game. Brandon Browner is fucking shit & gives away loads of soft penalties. Same goes for the rest of our secondary. The D-line actually seems pretty solid though.
Condensed games, however, are great.
Lions have fired their GM and president.
Started on A Football Life today by watching Terrell Davis and Jerry Rice, thought they were both excellent. What are the must watches?
The Steve Gleason one is outstanding as is the Brandon Marshall one for the more current players.
I've watched the Eric Dickerson (well it was in the very early hours), Reggie White/Jerome Brown, Walter Payton and Doug Flutie (purely because my VM box labelled it as Christian Okoye) ones today and I'm currently on the LT one, which has just thrown up this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRSnoZtssF4
:D
A mate of mine showed me this last night.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=av36l_9wj38
:D
I shouldn't find it that funny, but I do.
The embarrassment when he has to talk about it is outstanding too :D
The Doug Flutie one is quite good too if I remember right.
I've just spotted that Tebow has an episode too, why? :cab:
Because there are people who apparently have no idea about football, but have a disproportionate belief in the strength of one players faith in God over every other players faith in their God.
They're all good watches Mahow. There's one on Bill Bellichik and the Cleveland Browns.
Watching the Barry Sanders one and it's crazy just how deadly he was.
Any time the ball was in his hands he could just turn on the jets and make things happen.
I'd love to see a running back of that ilk in the league again.
His college stats are bonkers too.
12 games played in his final season, 2,850 yards with 42 TD's.
Just seen these are all available through the GamePass archives, so I'll have to get on those at some point. Just started Hard Knocks, since that's on there too. Done the first episode with the Texans, then I'll work backwards by season.
---
Thoughts on Manziel last night, by the way? Still wants to get out the pocket & chuck it long all the time, and seems oblivious to guys wide open in the flat, but at least he's not as awful as he was. He wasn't helped out by Justin Gilbert being totally unable to catch a football either. McCown is still the better short term option, but I suppose there's no harm in giving Manziel the rest of the season to see if he can step up, since the Browns going to be utter shit either way & McCown's 36.
Tyler Eifert had a huge game, on the other side of things. Hadn't seen him play before, outside of highlights on RedZone, but he definitely looks like a player. TE's running seam routes are practically guaranteed a TD at the minute though - everyone seems to be unable to defend it properly.
The issue is the reliance on a pair of safeties, and lack of cover linebackers. The league is too fast for a 46 defence or similar, and nobody really wants to run with a 3 safety set. Coaches seem to have settled on trying to get to the QB faster to deny the routes down the middle, while dropping 1 LB back per blitz, and bringing up one safety. It probably works 9/10 times, but when the LB is too slow, or the Safety isn't able to cover the much bigger TE then it goes for easy scores and big yards.
A few years ago the league had a fad of a box safety against the run until it was exploited by Peyton and co with their dynamic TE's. Any young players coming through the system is still in box safety mode. It'll take a next generation of 6'4 safeties with range to come along to change it up - but as it's not a glory position it's difficult to push youngsters out there it seems (they all want to be the hero corner, or the big hitting blitz LB). The nature of college football probably plays into that more than anything, the reason for the box safety being the growing need to deal with some of the disgustingly efficient running systems back then (which produced a vast array of underachieving pro runners).
Oh and Manziel is pish. I'm not always sure I know what the scouts are evaluating to give first round ratings on a QB who plays like we imagined Rex Grossman played...
...but then Rexy got a first round grade too. :face:Quote:
Is that Berrian? I think he’s triple-covered. You know what? Fuck it. I’m throwing it downfield.
Yeah, I see Jones open on the flank. But fuck that. Dumpoff passes are for faggots. I’m fucking Sexy Rexy Grossman. I can get that ball in there. And, even if I can’t, I bet I’ll be able to pull it off the next go round. I like throwing the ball long. It makes my dick hard.
What’s that? I should throw a quick slant? Fuck that. That’s gay. Button hook? Gay. Flare out? Gay. Screen pass? Kevin Spacey gay. This is fucking football. You can’t just expect wins to come to you. You can’t massage that shit. You gotta grab that game by the throat and rape the ever-loving shit out of it. You think a 5-yard out is gonna win you a game? You’re a pussy. This ain’t John Shoop running this offense. Sexy Rexy’s got the arm. The dragon. You gotta unleash the dragon.
Okay, I’m throwing it. Nice. Look how far it went. I look good. I bet I made that Pats cheerleader wet her panties with that throw. She fucking wants me. I bet she likes it over a stair railing. I can hit that with 100% accuracy, my dear. Mmmmmm. I am delicious.
Oh shit. Looks like Samuel caught it. Again. Oh well. It still felt fucking great to throw that shit. Tell me that wasn’t one of the prettiest passes you ever saw. You know what? Not only am I gonna throw it long the next time we hit the field. I’m gonna throw it even longer. Harder. You see that kid in wheelchair sitting in the end zone bleachers? I’m gonna nail him right between the fucking eyes with a Sexy Rexy fastball. Why? Because I can.
This is Rex Grossman we’re talking about here. We’re talking 210 lbs. of twisted steel and sex appeal. I’m not just a gunslinger. I’m a cumslinger. Throwing that ball long tells all the Rexettes that I am fucking out there. On the edge. Where I gotta be. The ladies love the danger. The unpredictability. Oh, maybe I’ll tease them with a pretty touch pass every now and again. But then I’m gonna go right back to pumping that ball out for all it’s worth. It tells them I throw like I fuck. That’s how we do things in the sexy business.
Tell me you’re not turned on right now. I am.
Because MORONS out there don't know you could just read his book.
http://s18.postimg.org/41snfi3o9/IMG_1972.jpg
Tell me you got that picture from Google Foe.....
The time spent reading the book would be longer than his entire career.
I can't imagine he's the first football player or coach with a book out.
Anyone paying any attention to college football?
The first rankings were released yesterday and it's a shambles again. The creaming over Alabama is just horrific. Despite losing against ole miss they are in the top 4 ahead of unbeaten teams AND teams that have only lost to top rated teams.
For that reason I really hope Leonard fournette (who is an absolute monster) tramples all over bama tonight in Tuscaloosa. The game on right now is notre dame vs Pitt. Notre dame have a legit chance to go to the playoffs too.
A - college football is genuinely terrible for all concerned.
B - the ranking system is just there to keep the big boys happy and their gravy train running.
I prefer watching college. Bit of variety in play rather than much the same thing over and over and over. Atmosohere, fans, stadiums, traditions, etc can't be beat either. It's just too hard to follow properly outside of the US.
I like college football. It's pretty exciting because a decent rb, qb or wr can absolutely destroy another team. It's less chippy patriots esque drive and more explosive.
Sure there's normally a massive gulf in quality. But it's bloody exciting watching a genuine superstar like fournette, gurley, cooper, doctson, boykin, Coleman etc running loose.
This cunt dalvin cook doing a great job showing my point in the first 3 minutes against number 1 Clemson.
Clemson are close to blowing their season in the first quarter here.
Remember the Packers game is on freeview right now if anyone's interested.
Bellichik is going to make the Patriots stomp on the Redskins here.
The Patriots  Shame Edelman just turned it over. As did the Saints, annoyingly.
Miami are a shambles when they start close to their own goal line. Two duff snaps leading to safeties in a matter of weeks.
EDIT: Pats get it straight back again because Garcon can't catch.
Garçon is one of those players that you just love to hate. Just a chippy little prick.
I just love when players turn to shite as soon as they arrive in Washington.
Kirk Cousins would have as much chance of completing a pass if he was throwing to himself at the minute.
Proper lol at that Titans TD.
We have literally the greatest secondary of all time :D
Hands of stone Garcon.
The packers are really struggling here. At the start of the season they were looking really quite good. Presumably that's the calibre of defence their playing.
Oh. That lob by cam
Patriots strolling down the field using a tight end and a center at right tackle. It's all just too easy for them.
Meanwhile, we're about to lose to the fucking Titans.
Goodnight Teddy Bridgewater...
Raiders have pretty much fucked all my bets now :(
Oh and lol at the Packers, Rodgers 15-0 record coming off a loss is broken.
:harold:
BJ Raji looks like he could eat Ha Ha Clinton Dix without batting an eyelid.
Go go Olawale, get my bets back in bitches.
Brandon Browner is abysmal. Easily the worst player in our secondary, which is saying something considering it's pretty much entirely made up of terrible players. If we don't get at least one more cornerback in over the offseason I'll be amazed.
Nice to see our drive get off to a flying start as well :moop:
EDIT: We've gone back to start of season 'shit all over the field' mode. Give up a huge sack then miss the FG when you manage to get back into range, and now it's inevitably going to end with another shambolic Delanie Walker catch & a last second Succop kick.
Zuerlein really is shit this year.
How did we get that ball back so quickly? Oh well, guess we'll just have to lose in overtime instead.
Jags are somehow still within one score of the Jets, and the Raiders are back in the game against the Steelers.
EDIT: I cursed them both :(
If the Raiders win or lose by less than 7 points and the Rams win I will fucking riot.
Edit: Need the Raiders to get some points, even a FG would be tasty and the Rams to win in OT.
That was a lovely play to win it from the Titans.
Panthers are choking :uhoh:
Fucking Rams.
Antonio Brown's had a decent game today...What happens to the Steelers if Big Ben's out for a few games again though? Can't imagine it'll actually make much difference to their season, since the playoffs seem unlikely anyway, but it could be interesting to see if they do anything different now they don't have Bell to lean on either.
By the way, Blaine Gabbert has a TD pass to put the 49ers in the lead
Peyton losing on his last ever visit to the Colts would be pretty great.
Looked like the Colts special teams unit had already gone to the locker room there.
Peyton's going to throw for 300 yards in the second half now.
Manning's about to make history, and - more amazingly - Gabbert is about to lead a team to victory. Maybe.
EDIT: Gabbert immediately throws a pick :D Less than 5 yards for Peyton...
Broncos sign Vernon Davis & then Owen Daniels has a 100yd + TD recieving game. Standard.
If Miller has actually gone for his eye there, and on the replay it doesn't look good, they need to be hitting him with whatever fines and bans they can because that's just not on.
EDIT: Oh, was it Talib? Same applies, whoever did it.
Letting yourself get done for holding in this situation. :D
Proper thicko behaviour.
What happened at the end of the Broncos, Colts game?
I saw a field goal pop up with 20odd seconds left and when I checked back it had disappeared.
The end of that Colts/Broncos game was a bloody shambles from Denver's defence, what a bunch of colossal cunts.
Also lol at Peyton being 3yds short of getting the record in the Lucas Oil stadium.
I watched Mean Joe Greene's A Football Life yesterday and that is, so far, by far my favourite.
Dion Lewis now out for the season with an ACL tear. So so many of them in sports this year.
Anyone going to watch the game tonight? I have major Fantasy implications riding on it... so I'm tempted to stay up for the first time all year.
I've got fantasy points riding on it so I'll be watching. I need the win so I can go into work tomorrow afternoon and be horrifically smug.
Big Ben is out for 'weeks' with a foot sprain. Probably 2-3 games out.
And now Luck's out 2-6 weeks..
Last team standing wins the SuperBowl this season.
Good job my trade for him didn't go through!
He was taking some pretty big risks with those runs he kept going on. Was it the one where that massive lineman nailed him in the lower back on his way down that did this?
Article seems to think so.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/american-football/34784628
What the fuck is wrong with that country? Shouldn't police dogs be trained not to go mental for little to no reason, or do they just groom them to attack blacks from birth over there?
There's enough wrong in that before you even get to how big an idiot he must be too.Quote:
The linebacker could be charged with taunting a police K-9, a third degree felony in Pennsylvania.
http://www.balls.ie/american-sports/...th-down/315185
Missed this at the weekend. Lucky as fuck.
Speaking of news that slipped by, Wes Welker has been picked up by the Rams. It'll be awesome until he takes one hit & is out for the season.
Also, Starks is now the lead back in Green Bay.
About time Lacy got his big ass benched.
Fearsome Foursome is up there too, I could probably watch interviews with Deacon Jones and Rosey Grier all day long.
IK Enemkpali aka the man who punched Geno in the mouth being a captain for this game :eyemouth:
Well, that was a game where both defences won. Shocking, I know.
Bills were good for the first half, and the RB's both played well throughout, but they went absolutely nowehere in the second half & almost threw the game on the bodged punt. Tyrod didn't have a particularly good game, and struggled to get to grips with the Jets defence, especially when they were blitzing him. Sammy Watkins looked okay for someone on Revis Island - the drop was a bad one, but he beat Revis all ends up off the line a couple of times for a few short receptions and looks like a great guy for Tyrod to bomb it deep at.
Jets, on the other hand, had a QB who played well, but was let down by his recievers dropping passes & a few odd play calls late in the game. Ivory looked decent outside of the fumble, but everyone else was average at best, and they would've been very lucky to have pinched the game at the death. Also, Brandon Marshall is rubbish.
He should have had a huge catch but the nonce foolishly jumped way too early with, IIRC, the first pass of the game.
Marcus Allen A Football Life was great if only because he shat all over Al Davis and the Raiders after Al Davis attempted to bury his career.
What a massive cunt Al Davis was.
Yeah, that & the drop are plays you really need to make if Revis is going to be following you all game. If he makes those he has 5 catches from 7 targets for something like 70 yards & people are probably sayng he gave Revis trouble. There's top level potential there for sure - the little move on Revis to make that catch at the end of the game was delightful.
First play and 'Johnny Football' fumbles it :eyemouth:
Did I just hear Landry Jones is out for the game?
The Dolphins look inept here. The Eagles trundling it up the field and never looking in doubt.
Tanehill took a huge hit for that safety too. Stinger.
Dolphins win before we lose to the Patriots would be nice.
Noone cares about the Cowboys.
Our last 3 possessions:
Joe Flacco pick
Joe Flacco pick
Joe Flacco fumble.
:face:
Worth every penny!
Surprised that it's taken this long for Sam Bradford to get injured.
The Packers :face:
Winston :D
Such a shame that it means the Cowboys win though.
Edit: lol at that hold.
All the shit teams I don't like losing thus far
Squeaked loss to the Patriot juggernaut before we beat them in the Super Bowl again :nodd:
McCarthy needs to go back to play calling now. Whatever about the last two weeks, that's a fucking shambles.
That missed FG to hand the Lions the win @ Packers was lol, but it was my fantasy kicker. Seems to be 3 teams miles better than everyone else this year.
It's a Peyton Manning Pick Party.
Manning needs to retire on the spot. He's a fucking shambles.
He really does.
Amendola getting tripped at the 7 yard line by his teammate :D
Aye. What a div.
Shame they scored in the end though.
Fire all the Saints secondary & defensive coaching staff & hire literally anyone else. They're a disgrace.
Watching the condensed game tomorrow is going to be joyous.
EDIT: As least Peyton & the Packers have done their best to outshit us.
Osweiler's in :D
So that Giants TD is getting called back, right? This catch rule is a shambles.
EDIT: Yep, good call.
That dropped pick is brutal. And it cost them the game.
Fucking gutted. How you can have four refs on field confer and call that a TD then have it overturned by review shows how little these refs know the rules of the game at the minute. Badly needs sorting out.
Lol at Peyton though, the useless old cunt. Him telling the story of how he broke the all time NFL passing yards for a QB while throwing unlimited interceptions and getting benched is brilliant.
The season has been 'over' every defeat so far, but it does feel a bit more like it now.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ntar-fasciitis
Peyton is suffering with 'plantar fasciitis' and Brock Osweiler will start next week.
Could do worse. He needs a chsnge of scenery.
Foles has been benched too, and Bradford is out at least 2 weeks. QBs are dropping like flies.
Who's even going to play for the Rams?
EDIT: Oh, Case Keenum :D
So, Mark Sanchez again. Please don't be as bad as last time.
Jesus, even the thought of signing Kaepernick makes me feel unwell.
Manning's arm was clearly weaker anyway but the way it's suddenly gone off a fucking cliff is alarming. At least he had the decency to look embarrassed at that cringeworthy stop-the-game-for-him bullshit Denver pulled. Play Osweiler as long as is required to get Manning healthy.
If Osweiler is great, great! Keep him in. If he's not then it barely matters, if Manning gets rushed back his minimal chance of some sort of last hurrah becomes non-existent anyway and it makes no difference.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...nsive-meltdown
The most shocking news of the entire season, Rob 'The Defensive Saviour' Ryan has been sacked.
Dan will be crushed.
How did that chancer even get more work at all?
Because of Buddy and Rex.
He lived off his surname damn well.
Well thank fuck for that :fun: Maybe Brandon Browner will shine in a new system...
The Bengals looked a shambles last night too - Eifert dropped a billion passes, Dalton was off the mark a lot & everyone else did nothing except Gio Bernard, who was excellent. The Texans defence seems to be getting back to somewhere like the level of performance it was meant to be at all season too - Whitney Mercilus looks like a bit of a beast, and JJ destroyed everyone all the time as usual.
Things are getting interesting
Cruz out for the season but Nicks is back
Benching Foles is hatstand stuff in St Louis, you can't be doing that this early in his time there. Peyton however needs to be Old Yellar'ed, it's almost a shame.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...chris-matthews
With Breshad Perriman now on IR, I hope the Ravens make a play for him.
Can't be much worse than our WR's bar Aiken.
Peyton getting a second ring as the backup QB would be immense.
Browns are going to start Johnny Manziel for the rest of the season so it will be fun to see the media's new QB darling fail hard.
Aldon Smith has been given a one year suspension.
They must be trying to get a good draft pick. Clever bastards.
Zuttah out for the rest of the season.
Had we been on course for the playoffs that would have been devastating, as it is John Urshel will get some game time and we'll probably get a better draft pick.
Suck for whoever is the best player in the upcoming draft
Kaepernick is done for the season.
The Eagles or Rams will probably go in for him. They both love shit quarterbacks that can't complete a full season.
Either that or the Chiefs should pick him up to replace Alex Smith. Again.
Anything but Kaepernick, please.
I think it's clear that rushing QBs was a fad that completely failed. No idea why so many teams started jacking off to them so much.
There's always a fad of some description.
RIP Read Option quarterbacks along with the Wildcat :chief:
The thing with Griffin is that he could actually have been a very good pocket passer in that kind of offense or have been a very good run first QB if he wasn't such a completely lazy tosser.
Jeffery & Forte are sitting for the Bears tonight. The offence is going to be very Langford heavy, I would think.
Oh, and Kwon Alexander is facing a 4 game suspension for PEDs.
A story I read on... CBS I think was saying that Manning has basically not been seen around the team this week. Which is a bit shit, if true. You'd want him there helping Osweiler.
Thomas. Thought he'd gone out of bounds there.
Griffin wasn't helped that when they eventually realised that letting him run head-first into linebackers was a bad idea they tried to make a pocket passer of him but with only about 1/3 of the o-line required to allow that to happen.
Sounds a bit cuntish if true indeed. Though I suppose he knows he's done so he doesn't give a fuck.
What was he like during that injured Indy year?
Elth may remember but I can't be bothered digging through a million google results to try and find out. I don't remember anything like this but then I suppose I wouldn't have been paying attention as closely.
Don't get me wrong, it might be that Osweiler was happy enough without him there so he could just get on with it but it's hard to imagine Manning wouldn't have had anything to contribute.
Hope the D fucks up Jay Cutler.
I read the same thing Ian. Peytons not even talked to him since the last game apparently.
There's currently a hurling match on TV, that's not really hurling, being played on a baseball pitch with American football markings on it, with soccer goalposts.
Fuck knows.
It's what I'd be doing too. Keep Manning as back-up. I'd even pay Osweiler over him in the play-offs.
Romo already picked off
Welcome back dickhead.
Peyton acting like a cunt in his last disastrous season will cement Eli as the superior Manning
The Buccs beating the Eagles would be great stuff.
Justin Forsett has broken his arm :cab:
Hard for a Raven to stay healthy this year ffs.
The Baltimore Arsenals.
At least he's only on my bench.
Good work, Bolden, just get Osweiler pinned back on his own one yard line.
He knew the ball was there surely? :baz:
A punt block now would be hilarious...
A MAN (who isn't Goose) as the sideline reporter of an NFL game? Madness. Madness.
EDIT: A few times today Osweiler seems to have dropped back further than necessary which just makes it harder for the line to look after him.
Bucs & Pathers are both running wild by the looks of things. 4TD passes each for Cam & Jameis
Romo throwing a second pick
Brandon Marshall attempting the swish one handed catch & failing miserably :D Made sure to use both hands on the next play though.
Romo INT time again too.
Kirk Cousins with his second lost fumble of the game, with a pick on top.
He does not like that.
EDIT: Make that 5TD passes from Cam. Nice trick play TD from the Texans as well.
Why run when you can get a clear touchdown lead? I mean it should have worked in that case but that's still annoying.
Osweiler tripping up Hillman :D
Osweiler's too big for his own good :D
EDIT: Lynch is inactive today. Gabbert will stroll to victory now.
The commentator was onto something when he pointed out that Osweiler keeps throwing the ball downwards. A lot of these mid-range incompletions are a bit off-target anyway but also heading down making it harder for the receiver to pull something out of the bag.
Sadly not. It popped up on the screen during one of the games on RedZone.
Winston's back level with Cam on TD passes today.
Matt Ryan throwing a pick inside his own ten yard line :D
Eugene Monroe out of the game for the Ravens now.
ffs.
Doug Martin
All of the NFC East teams losing when the Giants are on their bye
We're all doing our best to make sure the Giants make the play-offs. Stop the Patriots after they go 16-0 again :D
Turned our game off. Tired off seeing Martin(on my fantasy bench :happycry:) and Winston bending us over.
For fuck's sake, Osweiler, stop dropping back 40 yards on every snap.
Upshaw actually managing to rush the passer
Nice of the tackle to just let him through.
Flacco out for the year now too with a torn ACL :cab:
We really are going for the number 1 pick.
Flacco and Forsett in one game? Wow.
I hear Brandon Weeden is available now.
Something funny is going on with the Rams. They seem to injure a ridiculous amount of players. I'm sure there's plenty I'm forgetting but they put out Palmer and Stanton last year and Teddy this year.
I have a Tebow shirt you can have @Mahow.
Only one team winning this now. Packers offense is stinking.
You can still get Jets Tebow shirts on the NFL site for $15.
Why would you want to do that?
Indeed.
If I'm buying a Tebow jersey it will be in Baltimore purple.
I only have a limited idea of who people support here. We should all have Tebow jerseys though.
Good point, we had a list on ye olde TTHe.
LIST:
Toggle Spoiler
Probably need to edit out some plebs who haven't made their way over. :moop:
Ah okay scrap that then if we have no Jets fans. Pretty good spread there to be fair.
Rawls is absolutely running all over the Niners.
BeastMode 2.0.
Flacco, Forsett, Pitta, Suggs, Smith, Zuttah, Perriman, Will Davis.
Those are the starters we've lost this season with quite a few more backups.
Fun times.
I'm not a Niners fan anymore that was just to annoy a friend who supports the cards but it got boring. That and I didn't like watching them once Smith left. I don't really have a team anymore and tend to root for whoever has my fantasy players. I really need to find one though. Maybe the Chiefs as I liked them most of the 4 teams I saw at Wembley (and not because they ran riot, but because their fans were awesome) but I'm still undecided.
Pick one out of a hat. There's a site that asks you questions and gives you a team based on that. Mine came back at the Eagles
https://www.facebook.com/NFL/videos/10153476652211263/
Rawls had a bit of a game, not sure how many times Lynch has even put up the same numbers. To think, all that time waiting on Christine Michael to do something too.
Lynch could be done for the season anyway. He is visiting a hernia specialist in the week and with Rawls looking so hot they may choose surgery.
But no. That performance was better than any numbers Lynch has ever put up.

https://cdn1.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/MHy...063/Poe2.0.gif
Dontari Poe, the heaviest man to score an offensive TD
Just look at the air he gets on his dive.
He really doesn't look as heavy as The Fridge did.
Mike Alstott is still my favourite big goal-line bastard.
Gahahahahahahahaha :D
So fucking amazing.
Although it's a shame he wont be playing against the Ravens.
Brandon Williams would have eaten the fucker.
Oh god.
It's even worse than I imagined, we've signed Jimmy Clausen as our backup QB.
I'm actually going to be rooting for Matt Schaub not to get injured.
Handed a starting QB job on a plate and then fucks it up like that? What a twat.
They should hunt down Kaepernick.
Might get downgraded to doubtful.
http://www.sportsjoe.ie/us-sports/pl...the-head/51527
I'd say questionable. Should suit up really.
International Series for next year:
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS vs. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
NFC EAST OPPONENT vs. ST. LOUIS RAMS
WASHINGTON REDSKINS vs. CINCINNATI BENGALS
Rams vs Mystery Men is at Twickenham
Mystery Men better be the Mystery G-Men.
I'll be there to see HoF'er Eli Manning before he retires.
Still no Ravens :(
Rams vs an NFC East team is the pick of that bunch.
Is that the lot? I figured there would be 3 games at Wembley at least.
Seems it is, which is odd. Figured Wembley would get 3 games and then anything else would be additional. I wonder if Season Tickets will still cover all 3 games. The mystery opponent will determine how much interest I have in renewing mine. Fuck watching the Rams Vs The Redskins...
That set of games looks shit.
I'd rather go to a game in the states than back home.
It will be determined on who finishes in the same spot as the Rams do.
I'd imagine that they will finish third (they're not overtaking the Seahawks or Cardinals and the Niners are too shit), as such you could probably exclude the Giants.
My money would be on Jerry's shit heads.
But Romo is back! The Cowboys charge began last week.
I'd love the Cowboys to come back from here and win the East.
Yea, I'd like the Cowboys to win it, but if they don't, I hope they come 3rd and come to the UK.
It's basically a shootout between the Eagles and the Cowboys right?
Eagles v Rams it is then.
The people who own the Rams stadium have come out and said the lease agreement prohibits them from playing a home game elsewhere. So either they'll relocate to LA or this game might get cancelled unless a deal is reached.
I was quite keen on going to see at least one of the games next season, but those aren't exactly the most appealing games of all time :D
Still could be convinced to go to any of them though, provided we don't actually end up with Eagles/Rams, as that sounds godawful. Redskins/Bengals could be awesome if Washington make some good moves in the offseason. Will have to look into ticket prices etc, or just ask for tickets as an early birthday present next year.
As of right now, those set of games looks awful. I think the Bengals are the only ones there with a positive record?
It can't be the Redskins for the NFC East team, so that leaves 3, of which the Giants are taking the division and the Cowboys will finish 2nd. I'd love to see the Eagles come over(minus Chip Kelly), but we'll see how that ends up. Quite disappointing though. There was talk of the fantasy football bunch buying a season ticket, but I don't think they will go for that after seeing the teams.
The last time Sanchez played on Thanksgiving?
https://media.giphy.com/media/Ch3B2ty7gY7HW/giphy.gif
Mon something equally lol please Mark.
Having that clown Cecil back on reminds me how decent Shaun Gayle has become over the years. He's such a useless cunt.
'mon the Lions.
It's not Thanksgiving without Big Cecil carving up the bird.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BaL39atCMAAInR2.jpg
What a hero.
The only one coming out of that picture with any credit (as usual) is Big Kev. Couldn't give a fuck.
Last time I seen him he looked like he couldn't hold a knife.
This Eagles secondary could really do with turning up sometime soon.
When does Chip Kelly's shambolic roster moves start making his seat warmer? He's been getting a free ride with the 'when it works it's fantastic' line for ages now.
That was a great throw there.
Megatron is roasting that rookie cornerback.
This guy hasn't got shit on Katy Perry and the lion.
I'm almost uncomfortable watching the Eagles get this badly gutted...
Romo :harold:
What a fucking brilliant way to start the game.
Fucking brilliant.
Just got in and have seen the Eagles score. Well played Chip.
Romo
Just a shame Troy Aikman isn't commentating, his tears would have made that all the sweeter.
Ohno Romo. I don't like these colour rush kits, it looks like everyone's in pyjamas.
The Jags gold kit looks pretty decent. Apart from that I'd rather buy a standard one.
Gahahahahahahaha.
This is fucking brilliant.
Vintage stuff from Romo.
:D
What a day to be a fan of the Redskins or Giants
The Cowboys were doing so well with that one game win streak they had too :(
Don't worry guys, Romo still has this.
The commentary was brilliant in the run up to that third interception.
He's usually so careful with the ball (erm, what?), if they can just get down field and maybe sneak some points before half-time . . .
Dallas :D
What the fuck happened?
Sacked at the 1 yard line :roflol:
Looks like Romo has rebroken his collarbone.
Out for the season :roflol:
Fucking idiots.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...zs-70-mil-back
Led by Norman, the Panthers clamped down on Bryant, relegating the receiver to just two receptions and 26 yards on eight targets.
"Hey, they need to get Dez's 70 mil back," Norman quipped to reporters as he walked into the locker room, via the Dallas Morning News.
Josh Norman
5 of his 6 games has seen him pick up fewer than 50 yards this season
He's a classic case of being pretty damn good but believing the hype and thus not being as keen as he should be. See also: Brandon Maxwell.
Byron Maxwell and Brandon Marshall merged into one player?
Bit harsh considering he was injured in game 1 and missed a bucket-load of time only to return to a team with half a quarterback.
It's so amazing to see the Eagles spend so much and for him to turn out so average.
Huge game tonight for the Giants, win and we should squeak the division...
Brother Eli
Tremendous start.
Tevin Coleman :D
Jesus, what a fumble that is.
Get these tipped interceptions to fuck, I preferred it when Eli hoofed it into coverage in the secondary. Must have seen about 10 of those so far this year.
Fucking lol @Dan's Saints though, Payton has to be out on his arse surely?
Had to be that cunt :face:
Sammy Watkins is torching the Chiefs.
That Odell catch
That was insane. Up there was last year's.
Be great if it made one of those in a game we won, the showboating twat.
The Steelers :D
What a shit 4th down try that was.
That's by far and away the shittest attempt at a 4th down play I've ever seen. They should have just awarded Seattle the win after that disgrace.
https://cdn1.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/4lV...odelllll.0.gif
He really is ridiculous.
Didn't expect to wake up and see that result.
Winning without Manning
If the running game keeps ticking over, the defense keeps at it and Osweiler manages to just not throw a hundred interceptions (the only thing really required of Manning this year) then the team could do something. Probably not go all the way as you'd expect Osweiler to get felt up at some point even if everything else works out.
I really get the feeling Lynch has played his last game now, which makes Thomas Rawls' emergence from nowhere that much more of a relief. Tyler Lockett being the Harvin that Percy wasn't is another bright spot, as well as Russell Wilson finally remembering what he's getting paid for. Jimmy Graham out is a huge ballache though, he wasn't amazing but he was starting to get warmed up.
The Patriots aren't going to have anyone left for Brady to throw to at this rate. The running game was pretty terrible, and you could see it was moving more & more towards the Broncos as the game went on, not least because they were actually able to move the ball on the ground. Osweiler has looked decent, although his habit of holding on to the ball when he's clearly about to take a sack needs correcting if he's going to last.
As for the Saints, we didn't get raped by Hopkins, so I guess that's something :)
Oh, and massive lols at Dallas & Philly.
You've got to love that ending.
Toggle Spoiler
The guy who blocked the punt, Brent Urban, was actually making his debut.
He picked up a torn ACL in his rookie year and to start this year he torn his biceps.
I get 20% off the UK games due to having a season ticket last year? Oh... Go on then.
Are the tickets 20% more expensive?
Who knows. :D They haven't released the prices yet, so that will obviously decide whether I bother or not. I'm hoping they stay the same before the discount, but that's probably wishful thinking.
Looks like the tickets are roughly the same price as they were last year, so should be a decent discount. If that's the case I'll probably go to all 3.
Well MNF was better than expected...
Not only do we get the most Browns-esque finish of all time, but we get the joy of Manziel seeing McCown go off hurt & have to watch Austin Davis go in ahead of him
When do tickets for next year's games go on sale? Definitely need to look into going again.
15th of December for new season tickets or sometime in January for one game tickets.
http://mypullzone.orangepopmediall.n...15/12/hail.gif
What an end to the game, although every single Lions defender at the back was in the wrong position.
If that doesn't light a fire under them I don't know what will.
Fuck sake Detroit you fucking idiots :moop: That was a play from the 1-7 Lions playbook. Lions look so much better now though, and I doubt there are many teams that will be too scared of Green Bay if they make the playoffs, which no doubt means they're on their way to the SuperBowl.
Two consecutive games have ended with a knee on an extra point
Matt Schaub filling in for Flacco tonight
https://cdn2.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/TEi...321/odel.0.gif
He's truly brilliant.
Javorius 'Buck' Allen
He looks like a serious player, one of the few bright spots this season.
Brandon Marshall punches our safety McBride in the helmet and the officials throw a flag against the Giants....
The officiating this year has been amateur at best, they've made more mistakes this year than all of the years I've been watching combined.
Mariota
87 yard rushing TD on a 3rd and 7, woof.
What a fucking game that is.
Christ alive, it's all happening in Nashville.
What a shocker of a snap.
Schaub injured now :cab:
Jimmy fucking Clausen to the rescue :moop:
The Raiders/Jags/Buccs winning games is mental, they've been shite the whole time I've watched the NFL :D
I'm sorry, Mahow :console:
The amount of players you've lost this season you could use a whole round of picks.
Holy fuck I've just seen the scores in the Seahawks & Jags games :cab:
Yeah I'm done now, time for Coughlin to get tae fuck. Not taking that chip shot FG on the 3yd line has cost us this game, the senile cunt.
I wish Schaub really was injured :moop:
What a twat.
Good to see the Jags are still the Jags.
Thank you Seattle.
OBJ :face: Made up for it with the clutch catch though. Pretty sure that wasn't even meant for him, and he just broke off his route to go get it.
Gabbert
 Coughlin
I'd love for Beckham to make a 'clutch catch' that actually means something. All of this circus shite in defeat can fuck off.
It's all going to go horribly wrong after a start like this...
EDIT: Patriots might be in for a struggle here. That O-Line is decimated. Then again, the Eagles offence is utter wank, so maybe they'll still win 14-10.
Oh boy, that could be a seriously big play from Stephone Anthony right there.
Mike Tolbert doing a 'Carlton'
Apart from the Vikings return, that was the best performance I've seen in some time.
Cameron Jordan might just have done Cam's knee in on a sack, and we then get another turnover on the very next play.
Football has broken.
Such a great rule change that, brilliant to finally see it too
Stephone Anthony is getting himself in all the right places today.
Brady's just thrown a 100yd pick six, and the Eagles are leading.
Like i said, football has broken.
So three of the Eagles' TDs have come from a blocked punt, an interception at their own goal line & a punt return.
At least the Saints have reverted to form & Brandon Browner has thrown away their lead now.
Amendola throwing to Brady :D Pity Brandon LaFell immediately ruined it by cutting his route short & gifting Maxwell a pick.
Jeremy Maclin must have a billion fantasy points today. Feels like every time they cut to the Chiefs game he's catching a pass, and he has two TDs in this quarter alone. The kickers in the game, however, have probably got none at all. Three missed extra points in a row between both sides, I believe.
EDIT: Brandon Browner is lucky he's up against a guy who can't catch a ball properly to save his life, as he's not even trying to cover Ted Ginn at the minute.
Also, make that four missed kicks in the Chiefs/Raiders game now.
Nice of Tedward Ginn to finally catch a pass.
I'm pretty certain the second half of the KC/Oakland game has been exclusively made up of three things:
1. Jeremy Maclin catching a pass
2. The Kansas defence sacking/intercepting Derek Carr
3. A missed kick
---
As it stands the Patriots have dropped all the way down to the third seed in the AFC, but they've just got one TD back & recovered an onside kick...
EDIT: And scored another TD. One score game with 3mins left :uhoh:
Okay, this is just getting fucking stupid :D
I mean that in reference to both Ted Ginn's inability to catch a ball/the Saints inability to cover, and also the situation in the Pats/Eagles game.
As if our shower of shite has just won in New England. I still don't believe it.
So, how about this Antonio Brown lad? He seems to have a bit about him :)
Steelers dominated that game on both sides of the ball, but their offence is something silly when it clicks like that. Huge games all over the place. Clipboard Jesus aka Charlie Whitehurst got some actual playing time, that's how bad it was for the Colts.
Johnny Football.
Cowboys
https://gyazo.com/d8e49f40de46b2cf5982936a2cac895a.png
What a glorious division we find ourselves in. Still, it's anyones at this point. As long as it's one of those bottom 3 teams filling the NFC East member of the Rams game it's fine by me.
Hopefully we finish third and I get to see our new head coach at Twickenham next year
At this rate it'll be 4th.... The Rams look dire.
What a terrible game that was, and what a pair of rubbish offences those two teams have :D The turnovers & those last few minutes where actual touchdowns happened were all that saved it from being a truly abysmal game.
The Redskins can't run the ball without a 50% chance of it getting blown up in the backfield, and their skill position players are either young guys or very average experienced players like Pierre Garcon. DeSean Jackson is the only good player they have on that side of the ball, although i do fancy Kirk Cousins to have a Ryan Fitzpatrick type career as a solid, but not amazing QB.
The Cowboys look lost without Romo (again), and for some reason decided the way to fix that was to not throw the ball to Dez for the first three quarters. Cassell missed loads of throws & even Darren McFadden decided to start chucking the ball to the other team. Sean Lee continues to be immense though, so at least they have that going for them.
That whole division is garbage though - you could probably take all four teams rosters & make one good team out of it. That might be a good game, actually. NFC East Allstars, anyone?
Romo/Eli, Murray, Bryant, Beckham JR, Witten etc. Looks good on offence, but good luck cobbling together a good defence out of that lot.
We could always borrow the Saints defence for your all-star team, Dan? :henn0rz:
Take them, I beg you.
And yeah, that's what I thought about the NFC East side. It's such a bad division that a team made up of the best players from the whole division would probably still lose to the Steelers.
AFC South v NFC East match instead of the ProBowl this year please  Pretty sure the AFC South would win as well.
Word is that Demarco Murray will either be inactive for the game this week or 4th choice RB :eyemouth:
Got to love the Eagles and their big money signings.
Fuck you, Chip.
Jimmy Clausen chucking it 31 yards to Daniel 'Who?' Brown.
What a time to be a Ravens fan
Who's this standing in for Kev?
She's bloody annoying.
Her and Jim White made a mockery of the draft coverage.
I only turned over in time for her to do the signoff bit before the coverage started. The white dude they used to get doing it was also fucking annoying so I'm calling this an upgrade.
The best combo sans-Kev is actually Reynolds presenting with Reinebold and some other non-Cecil pundit doing the analysis. Reynolds has improved a lot since he first came on, mind.
Dara something, she's fucking appalling.
Redzone on Sky Sports 5 HD this weekend
Tedward 'Teddy' Ginn
I fucking love him.
No Cadle = Redzone or Aladdin on Channel 4 for me.
She's annoying as fuck and since noone gave a fuck about their touchline shite earlier this year, they've had to shoehorn her in somehow.
Dalton is out and now so am I. The injuries this year have been fucking mental, I can't think it's ever claimed so many high profile and good players.
The most mental thing about this season is Tim Hightower not only getting back into the league but actually starting for the Saints today.
Apparently he has only played 1 game (for the Fall Experimental Football League last year) since he was cut by the Redskins.
Dunno if it was mentioned here already but for the non Sky Sports subscribers among us, the Steelers Bengals game is on Sky 2. Just noticed it flicking about the channels.
The Falcons are absolute garbage.
I had to laugh at the hype train that was building when they squeaked by the Giants early in the season, the had the new coach bounce about him then. Matty 'Ice' reverting to time was always going to happen too.
I know they got stuffed, but a shut out? Lost 6 straight now too.
It's not leading to touchdowns but Osweiler is basically doing all that Manning needed to do if things weren't going his way. Keeping things trundling alone if you can't set the world alight, don't give the ball away.
...though a touchdown would go down a treat now. :D
Yeah, this has been a shambles.
I say bring back Jake the Snake and be done with it. :nodd:
Couple of wild AFC divisional games this week :D
Never mind the potentially huge injuries the Bengals suffered in their game, the true reasons to watch that game were Heath Miller catching a thousand passes & Vontaze Burfict tackling him on every one of them, then having a fight with the nearest person in a Steelers top. McCarron actually looked pretty tidy, I thought, so the Bengals should still be able to get past the 49ers next week & the Ravens in the last regular season game, although Denver's defence might be a bit much in the other game. Also shoutouts to Cincy for their apparent plan of collecting guys named AJ, Tyler or Marvin.
As for the Colts/Jags :cab: Jacksonville had 3pts with 1:15 left in the first half, and ended up topping 50. After the first half two minute warning everyone forgot how to hold a football, and it felt like every play was either a dropped pass or a fumble. The second half was just the Colts forgetting how to cover anybody, and having to throw Charlie Whitehurst in again is hardly going to inspire any extra confidence in their ability to win the division.
I'd love to think the jags would sneak in, but they're the Jags, so even if they beat Atlanta (which I'm not sure they will) and New Orleans (likely, since we're even worse at defending passes than Indy) in the next two weeks they'll choke in week 17 when they face Houston in what would probably be the decider. Texans it is then, if only by default, since Hoyer spent most of the evening game giving the ball to Bang Bang Chicken & Shrimp or getting sacked, and it'll probably be TJ Yates again next week.
Next week could be TJ Yates v Charlie Whitehurst in a battle of playoff contenders :D Bring on that AFC South/NFC East end of season all-star game.
The Giants would be 2008 Detroit Lions levels of shite if it wasn't for Manning and Beckham. What a two man team it is. JPP being the best defensive lineman with one hand is probably the most embarrassing aspect of it all.
Beckham & Miller were the only ones that made that game interesting really, and Miller was only really around for the first half.
The offensive lines on both sides looked terrible at times - half the Miami line literally didn't move on a snap at one point, while the both lines had a few snaps where they looked like they were doing preseason run-throughs they were so passive. Neither defence really did themselves any favours either, what with the Giants having no pass rush & falling off tackles & Miami taking a leaf out of the New Orleans Saints defensive playbook & deciding not to cover Beckham at all downfield. Chuck in the Dolphins basically only throwing to Landry & the Giants being unable to run the ball & you can see why neither of the two teams is any good.
I think the secondary of the Giants is in fairly decent shape (relative to previous years) but the lack of any pass rush at all means that even the worst NFL quarterbacks can stand back and pick their passes. A good secondary has never been high on the list but absolutely no pass rush for a Giants team is a bloody disgrace. Coupled with the fucked offensive line we can't get any production out of any number of running backs, Eric Dickerson would struggle if he had the misfortune to play for this team.
Suh looked absolutely gassed by the third quarter for what it's worth, he might aswell have just had a cardboard cut out of himself out there in the second half.
I can't tell if I absolutely love or hate the Rams colour rush uniforms.
I liked the 'mustard v ketchup' comment at the start of the game.
Tavon Austin is pretty terrifying in space, although maybe it's just that the Bucs defence can't tackle. Jameis didn't have his finest game either.
That cam run was brilliant.
The read option quarterback can work but you need to be able to throw it (unfortunately for kaep).
Some proper scrapping going on. Nice little sideshow to the actual game.
What the fuck was that shit from the Ravens on 4th and 9?!
Beckham should have been ejected for this carrying on tonight.
Looks like someone actually wants to win the NFC East now. You have to think if all results go as expected(everyone but Redskins lose) then it will all be on next week, Redskins @ Eagles.
Odell Beckham :harold:
Yep, he'll surely be thrown out soon.
He really should have been ejected for that alone.
Running back and pretty much tackling Norman? What the fuck mate.
A 90 yard pick 6.
Props Jimmy.
You're doing a great job of helping us get a better draft pick.
Ravens helping kill my fantasy dreams. Thanks Ravens!
Obviously Beckham gets them back into it after he should have been ejected.
Fantasy dreams already dead, buried and funeral held. So go Browns!
Eugh, I'd rather lose badly every other week than have these shitty close games we never win.
Didn't the Giants score 50 points in a game and still lose earlier this season?
Osweiler sacked 5 or more times in 2 of his 4 starts.
Peyton sacked 5 or more times in 2 of his 265 starts.
There's something in Ian and his ramblings that Osweiler drops back far too much.
Playoff bound
Hopefully can win the North too, it's about the pinnacle of what could be achieved this year.
Oh and for anyone still taking count.
The Ravens lost Jimmy Smith in the first quarter and he never returned.
Chris Canty was ruled out for the season last week too.
18 on IR and it sounds like Jimmy might make that 19 tomorrow.
Every fucking semi-decent play and the commentators cum all over Manziel.
The Denver players running onto the field too early :D
What the fuck is this NBC opening?
Damn, what a start that would have been had Brown not dropped that.
Nice of Daniel Fells to give Brandon Maxwell a piggy back.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...steven-jackson
SJax is back in the league
Oh and Justin Blackmon has been arrested for DUI. He looked so fucking good when he was actually on the field but he's going to end up in a jail cell permanently.
SJax?
Is that even a nickname?
David Johnson is a fucking beast (and/or the Eagles D is shit).
He utterly destroyed them on the ground and in the passing game, and that second touchdown was just disgusting. If John Brown hadn't been doing his best Ted Ginn impression in the first half Arizona would've been gone before half-time. Nice to see Bucannon get a pick six too, as he's been pretty impressive all year from what I've seen. The Cardinals could definitely use an upgrade at kicker though - Catanzaro not only missed that extra point but he seems to have no leg for kickoffs. Pretty sure none of them even reached the end zone. Tony Jefferson was responsible for both touchdowns as well, so not his finest game either, but then he is meant to be a backup, so maybe that's why.
As for Philly, Jordan Matthews was very impressive - I'd not seen anything from him before to explain why he was always being talked up, but he was pretty nifty the entire game, and the long TD on the coverage bust was the least he deserved. Ertz & Matthews (fumble aside) also looked like reliable options, and Michael Huff had a couple of good returns & a nice catch, so that's probably encouraging as well.
---
Really want to watch Steelers/Broncos or Giants/Panthers but they're both still on blackout :moop:
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ended-one-game
Odell Beckham suspended for a game.
https://usatthebiglead.files.wordpre...man.gif?w=1000
Fuck knows how he wasn't ejected for that though. He ran about 10-15 yards to get the hit on Norman too.
If only they were mic'd up :(
That was going on the whole game though so there must be some kind of deep seethe between the pair.
Well that TNF game was pretty patchy.
It's very clear that both teams are very young - LOADS of penalties from both sides, which only seemed to get worse as the game went on, and a few poor decisions meant that neither team really did anything offensively, despite neither defence really looking dominant.
Pretty clear that both teams have a way to go to be legit playoff contenders, especially as they're up against Denver & KC in their division, who are both far superior - Oakland are a lot closer to having a shot than San Diego, but they could probably use some work on both sides of the ball still, while the Chargers need to get players healthy again to even be on par with Oakland. Melvin Gordon not being shit would be handy too.
Hopefully Redskins/Eagles will be better. It should be pretty high scoring, I'd have thought. Hoping for a Washington win, personally.
Can't fathom how in these times of concussion obsessiveness Beckham is only getting a one game ban.
Does that sort of provocation not go on all the time? Not that some of it isn't stuff the NFL should also be having a look at but that doesn't absolve him.
Dry your eyes, Odell.
What?Quote:
Odell Beckham Jr. acted like a maniac against the Panthers and deserved to be suspended as a consequence. However, I think it was a mistake to suspend him for Week 16; I would have made it Week 17 instead. Many fantasy players - not me, so I'm not being biased here - have Beckham and will now have to play in a championship without him. I know it may seem silly to alter a player's suspension for fantasy purposes, but fantasy players are big-time paying customers; without them, the NFL wouldn't be raking in as much money. What if a fantasy player with a suspended Beckham has a bad taste in his/her mouth after losing because of that and stops playing fantasy entirely? The NFL would then lose a paying customer, which is just horrible business. Roger Goodell, once again, just doesn't get it.
By contrast I think it was an amazing decision that may win me a championship and I think he should also ban Russell Wilson just because.
http://walterfootball.com/index.php
He's usually not that bad but that's ludicrous.
I can see this snowballing.
http://mweb.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...anning-in-2011
They should retrospectively remove all his fantasy scores so I can get back all the points he lost this season. His decline might be the best advert those drugs could have hopes for because he's genuinely worse than I would be now.
Redzone is on Sky Sports 5 tonight.
Watching everything unfold in HD
Not much to the game but if someone does this to Rofflesburger:
http://i.imgur.com/jB1lllC.gif
Especially Za'Darius Smith or Brandon Williams (although it's highly unlikely for Williams to do it) manage it, the season wont have been a complete failure.
Bury the fucker
Nice of Johnny Football to get on the field after a turnover and throw it right back to the Chiefs.
Teams are going to have to stop looking towards Marcus Peters, he's a pick magnet.
Shitting on the Steelers
Jimmy Smith
The Steelers have been WRECKED.
101 yard pick 6.
Edit: Defensive offside? Refs want the Steelers in the playoffs.
The Panthers losing to THIS Falcons side is proper fucking lol, there's no chance they'll do anything in the playoffs.
Well, looks like I missed an eventful set of early games :moop:
New England & Pittsburgh losing I can see, but how the fuck did Carolina lose to the Falcons?! I know it's another divisional game, but they're awful, and there isn't the fire there like there is in the Steelers/Ravens game to spark a huge performance.
Atlanta getting the ball with about 1:40 remaining and punting it away with about 1;30 to go without Carolina using a time out should have seen them lose by default.
I'm so glad we're playing the Jags :D
Brees supposedly has plantar fascia issues, Marques Colston is out and Spiller is so shit he's lost his job to three guys picked off the street midway through the season, and yet we're 14-0 up & on the 1yd line.
I'd be trying to get as much as possible for Payton, Brees, Spiller & Browner as possible this offseason. Maybe Colston too. We'd be sacking off next season, especially if we didn't get a decent QB in free agency (I doubt Kirk Cousins or Ryan Fitzpatrick will get there, sadly) or the draft, but a rejig of the coaching staff, a few high round picks stacked up & a shitload of cap money free to throw around would put us in a good position to rebuild and challenge again in a season or two.
I'm surprised you're doing so well.
I wouldn't count the Jags out of this.
I can see the leaky Saints letting Bortles and the two Allens in.
Hopefully that loss derails a lot of the Newton hype.
The Skins topping our division says a lot about it too. Please fire Chip and get someone in who will use Murray properly.
Chip Kelly has to be one of the worst appointments in the NFL in a long time. Utterly ruined that Eagles team.
Glad to see the Panthers lose, they're not as good as they're made out to be.
Imagine how bad it would have been had they given him full control over player transactions before this season.
Aren't the Saints in serious shit with the cap already anyway, Dan?
Yeah, Murray looked pretty good against Washington (except for the fumble, of course). Looked like they'd decided to try & work to his strengths a bit more instead of trying to make him something he's not. There's definitely potential in that offence - I quite like the look of Michael Huff as well - but they just don't quite get it right.
I won't count the Jags out either - we're still playing Brandon Browner, after all - but it's definitely getting harder & harder for them as we keep rolling offensively.
I just look at the players we've moved on for him. Maclin, Jackson, McCoy are the main ones that stick out, but what the hell have we done since?
Brought in an injury prone Alonso who surprise, got injured. Insisted on playing Murray wrongly all season long and trusting Sam Brittle Bones as a starting QB.
http://overthecap.com/salary-cap-space/
Only the Dolphins (how?) are in a worse shape for next year.
Yeah, according to this article they've had problems for a while now. Apparently we have 131 players on our books at the minute, and almost half of them aren't actually Saints players, and because of that we have $32.5m in dead cap money, when the average is about $14m.
Brees, much like Calvin Johnson, really has to restructure his deal or move on. I think Brees is supposed to take something like $30m of cap room next season, which is utterly retarded.
EDIT: Here's a fun game to play. Fix the Saints' salary cap problems.
David Johnson is seriously fucking good. How did it take him so long to get the job?
It's probably a good idea for Brees to move on. He has his ring. He should go somewhere else who has fuck all at QB or gee himself up for one last superbowl push.
Off the top of my head, the 49ers, the Browns and the Eagles(I'd love to see him come to us) don't have any kind of regular QB signed up going into next year.
The Saints already have $14.8 million in dead money on the books for next season, thanks in large part to a $12.1 million charge for the remainder of Galette's deal
:cab:
Was Galette being paid in straight gold?
He's not even that good and probably wont have a job next season.
Oh and there's a fun fact.
The Packers leading rusher in this game? Tim Masthay their punter.
Edit: Nope, he has their longest rush of the game thus far.
Lacy has a whopping 17 yards on 6 carries.
If we could wrangle some kind of deal where the Redskins or Jets where they pay us for Brees then let their QB go so we can sign them up I'd be delighted.
Cousins or Fitz for half the price of Brees plus a first round pick would be all kinds of awesome. Hell, I'd take the same deal for Bradford, provided he got paid a bit less.
No one is giving up a first rounder for a 37 year old QB who will be hitting the cap for $30m.
You'll be lucky to get a 7th rounder.
Rodgers is having such a shit season.
My NFLinterest only extends as far as thinking Reggie Bush is top.
Just had a look at his wiki and noticed he was released early from his megamoney deal with the Detroit Lions. Howcome?
Because he hasn't been top for at least 5 years or so.
Because he's shit.
Here comes the collapse...
EDIT: Hang on, Seattle are losing to the Rams? How do St Louis manage to be so shit & yet win so many divisional games against much better opposition?
Packers give the ball up on the first play of the second half. Cardinals looking good for this one, I'd say.
Saints giving up a 90 yard TD :D
Brandon Browner giving up the longest play in the league this season
Why are we still playing this man?!
Cory Redding stiff arming Eddie Lacy
What a thing of beauty that was.
Well, things are not going well in Green Bay...
I don't know what's happening with the Packers but it's killing me fantasy wise.
Are they bad or are the Cardinals just that good?
They're decent, but not up to the standards they had been the last few years, particularly on offence. The O-Line & receivers have been poor this season, which has made it hard for Rodgers to do anything other than run around until Richard Rodgers is free & chuck it at him.
Arizona, however, are a team full of beasts.
The Cardinals are that good.
Right on cue Arizona get a sack wiped off for a penalty, followed a few plays later by a sack, then a sack fumble TD. This is getting embarrassing for the Green Bay offensive line.
The Cardinals are dominating them possibly even more than the Broncos did.
Would now be a bad time to say my fantasy opponent has the Cardinals defence?
Most offensive lines see Calais Campbell and shit themselves stupid I'd imagine.

You don't get many defensive ends who are bigger than most linemen.
6 foot 8, 310 pounds who can run a 40 yard dash in 4.85 seconds (at the combine he was 380 pounds so that is even more impressive) and absolutely swallow you whole.
What the fuck is going on with this turnover in the Rams/Seahawks game?
Fumbled by the Rams, Earl Thomas dived on it but didn't get it secured, everyone piled on & it was ruled a recovery by the Rams. Then they changed it to a Seattle recovery. Then they changed it back to the Rams.
Not exactly the best officiating there.
EDIT: Now Gurley's pulled off a disgusting hurdle & fumbled as he landed, and it's recovered by the Rams again :D
Tim Barnes, the center, recovered both fumbles, and then Gurley put it in the endzone.
Guess who just gave up another TD to a Jags receiver?
Browner :hail:
Rams do love turning up for the Hawks games though don't they?
I think I may be starting to fall for the Gurley hype.
Looks like that is about to come to an end after that snap.
Because player evaluation in the NFL is hard, because dressing room management is hard, because people as arrogant as NFL coaches admitted they screwed up for 12 weeks by having that kind of talent on the bench is rare.
I still think Kelly's a great coach - his systems work, there's no doubt about that - he just shouldn't be allowed anywhere near player management. Too confident in his own ability when it comes to player projection.
Rams snapped a 62 game streak of the Seahawks leading at some point in the game.
Woof.
https://cdn3.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/XDu.../redding.0.gif
It really is a thing of beauty.
Fatman interceptions/recoveries when they get to run are always great.
It's the way he just throws Eddie Lacy away too.
That ejection in the Giants game is the most hilariously shite thing I've seen in a long time. A week too late officials you dickheads. That's as bad as I've seen the Giants play for what it's worth. We'll likely beat the Eagles next week so I don't get to see HoF'er Eli in the flesh :(
I'm on the Cardinals bandwagon after watching the Bruce Arians A Football Life. Anyone but the Panthers would be great.
Just casually throwing Lacy out the way. I love it.
Next weeks game becomes a win/win. If the Eagles lose, I get to see them play. If the Eagles win, I get to see Beckham.
If he didn't play for the Giants I'd love a Beckham shirt, but it'd kind of spit in the face of any Eagles support I may have.
Still the best shirt in the NFL, go for it.
The work fantasy group were going to all buy the shirt of our favourite fantasy football players from the season. I'd be up for that, but not sure I could go for a Giants shirt.
Seems like a lot of us going to games next year...
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ed-in-a-season
It really is crazy how shit the Saints have been in coverage this year.Quote:
Through 15 games, the Saints have given up an NFL-record 43 touchdown passes. The previous record was 40 TD passes allowed by the 1963 Broncos.
New Orleans is also on pace to blow away the record for highest passer rating allowed in the Super Bowl Era at 117.1. The 2008 Detroit Lions currently own the dubious achievement, when opposing quarterbacks had a 110.9 passer rating against them. That Lions team went 0-16.
Even if you don't trust your own eyes enough to know Browner has been terrible this season, consider this: Pro Football Focus ranks Browner dead last among every corner who has taken a snap this season. He's not 210th by a small margin either. Browner's -40.6 rating is 12.9 points worse than the next closest player (Antwon Blake). In coverage, he grades out the worst by 12.0 points. Browner is allowing a 120.1 quarterback rating on passes thrown his direction, the fifth-worst mark in the NFL among corners playing 50 percent of a team's snaps.
Brandon Browner gives me hope that one day I too could be a cornerback in the NFL. He truly is an inspiration to us all, and that's worth more than wins or money ever could be.
As for the Sunday night game, the Giants were fucking terrible other than Rashad Jennings & Robert Ayers, and that ejection was proper lol. Think i'm rooting for the Bengals tonight as it keeps the Steelers in the hunt for a playoff spot. 'Mon AJ McCarron :cool;
I think if Denver score five touchdowns off the defense I could still win my fantasy final.
Top work from the Chargers here.
Not sure how the Bengals choked that game away after the way they started. Deciding to stop throwing downfield & instead start letting Jeremy Hill run directly into the nearest Denver lineman probably had something to do with it though. McCarron definitely looks the better prospect of the two QB's - Osweiler just stands and watches people rush him down & makes no attempt to avoid taking a sack, while McCarron looks to have more awareness of what's going on around him & how to move around, plus he seems to have a pretty good arm on him. That kick from Brandon McManus was hilarious as well :D
While we're on the subject of things that are hilarious, the Colts have signed Josh Freeman. Also looks like McCarron might be out next week having injured himself trying to recover the botched snap that lost them the game, so they might be stuck with their third string guy who's never played before, or Mike Kafka.
As surprising as an AFC playoff QB cast including Ryan Fitzpatrick & Alex Smith might have been at the start of the season, people's brains would've exploded if you said that they'd be joined by Brock Osweiler, Brandon Weeden or Josh Freeman & Mike Kafka :cab:
EDIT: Oh, and Gus Bradley is staying on at Jacksonville \o/
Fuck Freeman and Lindley, we want Tebow-mania.
I want Miami to pick him up & start running crazy wildcat formations with Tebow at RB/TE and Tannehill at WR
The playoffs are pretty much set aren't they?
We all know that Patriots-Broncos and Panthers-Cardinals are set as respective Conference title matches surely?
An off-day for the Broncos defense will see them kicked out at the first opportunity unless Osweiler sharpens up. I like him but there's plenty for him to work on. I can't see Elway not sniffing about potential new QBs during the off-season.
The NFC is basically set, other than the Packers/Vikings game to sort out their division. The AFC still has a bit more to play for, but the Jets need to choke against Buffalo for the Steelers to still have a shot.
The Patriots will need to get a few more guys back if they're going to go all the way, and the Bengals will need a QB to have a good shot too, so there's certainly an outside shot that one of the wildcards springs an upset if they keep their momentum going. As for the NFC, I really hope the Cardinals steamroller everyone, but it really ought to be them v Carolina in the championship game. Green Bay have been way below their best all season, the Vikings don't have enough on offence, and Seattle have no running game anymore. Washington will be there too for a week, I guess, but I can't see them beating any of the other teams unless something really goes off
If the Pats are still shorthanded I could see Kansas City taking them out after wiping out the might Brandon Weeden & setting up an AFC Championship game against Cincinnati after they actually manage to beat Denver in the playoffs, at which point they could even go all the way if Dalton still isn't back. On the other side I have Seattle seeing off NFC North champs Minnesota & Green Bay beating Washington (sorry Kirk :() before they both get done in by the top two seeds.
I really want the Steelers/Cardinals dream to come true, but I'd settle for Chiefs/Cards.
The Steelers aren't getting into the playoffs.
Despite our shitness we swept the fuckers and kept Antonio Brown to 103 yards on 12 catches in said games even with our shambolic secondary
The Chip experiment/shambles is over.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...-of-chip-kelly
Anyone listen to any NFL / American sports podcasts? I've been listening to Russillo and Kanell for awhile now, they're pretty entertaining but a little shallow in their insights.
New coach bounce to beat the Giants so I can see them in London next year :yn:
Steve Smith is coming back
Also, Bryant & Jeffery have been put on IR, and Manziel is being tested for a possible concussion.
What a hero.
Steve Smith, Kamar Aiken and Breshad Perriman (assuming he ever fucking recovers from his knee injury) should be fucking golden.
Oh and how is this for a stat.
Five of the six receivers listed on the active roster to start the season have been placed on IR.
I've just watched the Houston/Tennessee game. My God the Titans are bad. Mariota, Walker & Green-Beckham are pretty much the only decent players on the team. Maybe Harry Douglas as well if we're being nice.
They have three bad RB's, although Antonio Andrews is particularly terrible from what I've seen of him, and Zach Mettenberger might well be the worst QB I've ever seen - he barely gets a pass within five yards of the intended receiver, and half of the times he does it's skidding off the floor by the time it gets there, and he almost always makes the wrong decision on what to do with the ball. He's probably not even good enough to be a backup at the minute - crippled Mariota would almost certainly still be better.
Their cornerbacks looked awful too. They could get the top two picks in the draft and still be a shit team. They're just average or worse in practically every position. They can't run the ball, they can hardly throw the ball & they can't defend. They've hit a level of complete, team-wide mediocrity that can only be described as Browns-esque.
They're shit but Delanie Walker is a fucking hero.
I watched Ray Lewis' A Football Life today and I actually have something in common with him.
We're both outfuckingstanding at Monopoly and are constantly accused of cheating at it
Now I'm not sure about Ray but I most certainly was cheating at every possible chance I could get because it makes the game so much more realistic.
Anyone been keeping up with the college football bowl season?
I watched the majority of both games in the CFB playoffs - BAMA again looking strong and machine-like whilst Clemson took a while to get it going against Oklahoma. I think Bama will do it though, the guy Henry is just a superstar against amateurs.
Watched the Fiesta Bowl today (Ohio State beat Notre Dame) and now got the Rose Bowl on (Stanford v Iowa). It's interesting seeing the pro-prospects. Mccaffery the RB/WR for Stanford scorched Iowa on the opening play for about an 80 yard TD. The big DEnd for Ohio Bose got ejected early in the other game though, which was a bugger. What a way to end your college career.
I watched the OSU @ Clemson game while I was home, just because everyone else had gone out for New Years and I have young kids so I don't do that now. While close in the first half, the 2nd half saw Clemson run away with it.
Deshaun Watson looked pretty handy, especially rushing. Not sure how well he'd come on in the big league though.
End of an era.
http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/n...lo-says-010116
\o/
Hopefully he leaves with a final possession loss so they come to London. He won't to spite me though the old bastard.
Sounds like Mike Pettine will be available as well. The Browns are a fucking shambles.
I got $40 on the Redskins at +4.
Let's goo.
So what do some playoff bound teams need offseason? Patriots are probably run riot at this rate. Panthers might have a chance :baz:
Another week with no Kevin.
He's clearly walked or been pushed.
The Chargers, Rams & Raiders are all expected to apply for relocation, and at the minute none of them are likely to be approved :D
Josh Freeman starts for the Colts. What a day.
I've just checked Cadle's Twitter and I've discovered two things.
Firstly, he will be back for the playoffs.
Secondly, he has come up with, quite possibly, the worst book title known to man for his autobiography. Gentlemen, I present to you:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CT36RuzWcAA3H7E.jpg
:face:
Even more tears from Jerry
This Dara bint needs to be taken out back and shot, what a useless fucker.
Jerry Dome will be rioting tonight
Cadle.
Giants doing the business
3 drives, 3 TD's.
Proper lol at the Cowboys defence.
Redskins on a charge, and the Jets are choking Pittsburgh back into contention
Fabulous TD catch on the sideline from Ben Watson, and it looks like Brady may have a bit of an ankle problem after getting sacked by Suh.
DeAngelo Williams has been carted off. Guess Big Ben's going to have to throw more now. Pity his receivers are so bad...
EDIT: Hang on, Austin Davis is playing for Cleveland again? Did Johnny hit the club again?
In other QB change news, the Redskins have pulled Kirk Cousins before the end of the first half.
Concussion.
Anyway, beating the Bengals
Mahow o/
How far can the Bengals fall if they lose?
EDIT: Reversed. Bengals can't fall either, so it's pretty much irrelevant.
I think it's the third, which is where they started.
https://usatthebiglead.files.wordpre...ets.gif?w=1000
:D
Absolute magic.
S-Jax in the end zone
Even Colt McCoy is making the Cowboys defence look amateur.
4/8, 111 yards and 1 TD.
I'm still not sure whether or not we should keep Bradford on. He can look good, like on that drive but can also look horrendous. Though there is the argument that Chip was playing him wrong, as he was with the entire offense.
Indeed.
My early bet has been fucked over by the Jags (they've looked so damn good in the past month and a half) and the Ravens who seem to have not bothered at all in the second half.
£5 on Bills +3/Broncos -10/Cardinals -6.5/Rams -3.5/Chiefs -7.5.
Minus for the late games :yn:
It's a shame that the Steelers have made the playoffs but the Bills were always going to fuck over the Jets.
Fantastic bottle job from the Jets. Shame it had to be Fitzpatrick that chucked it away though.
Steelers get the Bengals or the Broncos in the playoffs. Should be a pretty interesting game either way. Two teams potentially starting backup QB's trying to keep up with Big Ben & company. Pretty likely to be a shootout, like most Pittsburgh games.
That defending was appalling from the Chargers :D
Oh well. There goes my chance of seeing the Eagles next year.
Gurley v Beckham on English soil isn't bad though.
Oh and speaking of the Chargers:
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...eing-put-on-ir
So they fine Weddle for wanting to watch his daughter perform at halftime, refuse to fly him to Denver and then put him on IR despite him being able to practice.
Well played scumbags.
I haven't really followed it today, but having just seen a random play, why are the Bengals throwing a lateral when going to ground would ice the game? Granted it was relatively risk free as the guy was about 2 yards away, but still seems unnecessary unless I've missed something.
Because Rey Maualuga (think it was him) is an idiot. Would've been hilarious if he'd chucked it straight to a Raven & they'd taken it all the way to the end zone.
Might have to give the international series games a look next season. Could end up being three good games.
I've got my tickets to all 3. Wasn't sure who I wanted in the mystery game, but the Giants is good just to see Beckham.
Whereabouts are you sitting? Went to Wembley a couple of years ago & had a decent view, but I can't remember how far back I was.
I've renewed the same seats from Wembley, which are behind one of the end zones, near the back of the lower section and pretty much slap bang in the middle (by which I mean right in the middle of the goal posts). I imagine it's similar for Twickenham but I didn't book them myself. Was a great view, obviously better when the action was down my end but not bad at the other end.
DeJuan Harris has looked pretty lively the last two weeks.
Pretty sure we had cheap tickets near the middle of the field, but I'm not sure there are many of those left anymore.
The Chiefs raiders game is a bit mental.
Interception / turnover heavy.
Wow, the Cards are getting absolutely fisted.
Both Baldwin and Wilson are setting season records, which is remarkable considering they both have only really been playing for the last 7 weeks.
Looks like I'll be going to whoever the Skins play at Wembley because my brother-in-law is a big fan.
More importantly the plan is do the Bermondsey Beer Mile.
This Denver game sounds rancid.
Denver has given up five turnovers & scored 7pts, and they're still winning :cab:
San Diego are a bad team.
EDIT: Time for Peyton
Browns have officially fired Pettine and Farmer.
Colts have let Pagano go (some sources are saying now, some say Monday) too because of his relationship with Grigson:
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-...ent-richardson
Apparently he was going to be fired if he lost the wildcard game or divisional game last year.
41 wins 23 losses (three 11-5 seasons) in regular season and 3-3 in the post season.
Irsay is a shambles and the players want Pagano to stay.
8 wins this season but he only had Luck for 7 games (and he was dealing with injuries for most of those) and had to play FIVE different QB's this season.
If no one takes him as a head coach (they'd be stupid not to), I hope Ozzie brings him back to the Ravens.
Peyton is lucky I won my fantasy league, otherwise I'd be fuming he picks now to stop being royally shit.
Yeah, Pagano will have been very harshly treated if he's fired. This season was one to write off as a bizarre anomaly, rather than deciding to sack a good coach because they didn't make the playoffs with a crippled QB.
Broncos look pretty handy with Manning back in.
Surely you'd fire the GM there? Give the coach another season with healthier players and more importantly, Luck. Given all their injuries an 8-8 season isn't all too bad. Looking at the Ravens should tell you that. They've had it a little worse than the Colts and struggled to a 5-11. A little perspective needed I think.
Madness sacking really but Irsay believed they had their window and now it looks to be shut. Plus he's a fruitcake (Irsay).
It's because we have a screwed on owner and GM.
They know that this season was an anomaly and we'll be back stronger.
Some teams are run well and some aren't, clearly the Colts aren't if they were willing to fire Pagano last year if he didn't win 2 play off games (after three back to back 11-5 seasons).
At the end of the day there was friction between Pagano and Grigson, Irsay had to choose and he either thinks Grigson is the reason for their success, thinks he is more valuable or he just likes him more.
Grigson is the one who went crying to the NFL in regards to deflategate so that's probably why Irsay likes him.
Cam Newton's really rather a dick. The smug look on his face when he scores or runs for a first down, the way he celebrates a TD for about a thousand years, all the running up and down the sideline waving & cheerleading, and now finding out that he's named his kid Chosen.
He's a bloody good QB though.
Chosen Newton? :cab:
That's up there with Kanye's kids.
I saw that this morning. Thought it was a joke. Either way Newton stands to win me a £10 bet so he can carry on being a dick.
'What the fuck was that?'
Andy Reid :D
That was the strangest fake(?) field goal I've ever seen.
Surely even Denver won't fuck this up now.
Unless Woodhead get 2 TDs.
I can't really work out what's wrong with the field goal. I mean, it was shit ,but he did get new downs, didn't he?
Top seed.
Feel for Osweiler a bit. They've obviously been waiting for an excuse to chuck Manning back in.
First time I've seen this Sunday night intro, it's fucking atrocious.
Top 20 picks for the draft:
1. Tennessee Titans: 3-13 (.492 strength of schedule)
2. Cleveland Browns: 3-13 (.531)
3. San Diego Chargers: 4-12 (.528)
4. Dallas Cowboys: 4-12 (.533)
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: 5-11 (.473)
6. Baltimore Ravens: 5-11 (.508)
7. San Francisco 49ers: 5-11 (.539)
8. Miami Dolphins: 6-10 (.469)
9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 6-10 (.484)
10. New York Giants: 6-10 (.498)
11. Chicago Bears: 6-10 (.548)
12. New Orleans Saints: 7-9 (.504)
13. Philadelphia Eagles: 7-9 (.508)
14. Oakland Raiders: 7-9 (.512)
15. St. Louis Rams: 7-9 (.528)
16. Detroit Lions: 7-9 (.536)
17. Atlanta Falcons: 8-8 (.478)
18. Indianapolis Colts: 8-8 (.500)
19. Buffalo Bills: 8-8 (.508)
20. New York Jets: 10-6 (.441)
Ozzie will absolutely fucking smash the shit out of it with all the possible trading options.
Given that you'd expect the Titans to draft a RB and the Browns after Johnny Football fucked up yet again, will take a QB, there could still be something tasty available for your lot. Considering you have a good team anyway when they are all fit, next year should be a good one.
Our winning today has changed us from maybe having pick 10 to pick 13. That combined with the Twickenham game has me annoyed that we turned up today. However, we can't really do that worse than last year. See if we can find a quality WR in there. If not, strengthen that pass defence the fuck up!
Speaking of poorly run teams, come on down the 49ers.
Shuffled Jim Harbaugh out as he would argue with the owners/GM so they bring in a yes man who, surprise surprise, does fuck all and then show him the door.
Do not be deceived. You will reap what you sow.
Harbaugh is still sour :harold:
Absolutely no way the Titans use the number 1 pick on a running back unless they see Derrick Henry as the messiah. Then again, he's from the BAMA 'system' so there's the Trent Richardson risk there. The way the RB situation is they could surely trade down a bit and grab him later (or Zeke Elliott). If it goes tits up then Fournette, McCaffrey etc. are likely to fancy popping out next year.
The more interesting thing is the fact that the Browns surely will want to use the opportunity to grab a top rated QB. Jared Goff, Paxton Miller and particularly Conor Cook (MSU) must be feeling a little exposed to that particular ship even if none are really at this point in time really being billed as #2 pick warranted. It became pretty clear this season that there really isn't a superstar QB coming out like a Luck / Newton / / Bradford of the past. I'm not convinced it's quite 2013 bad, but it's like last year in that it'll go down to club preference. I bet lynch is fucked off the Titans took Marriota last year otherwise he'd feel pretty good about his chances of ending up sticking about in Tennessee. That being said, the Browns need a receiver too, given Gordon will probably decide to go on a bender with Manziel. I love all the draft prep stuff too, so the next few months are going to be pretty decent. May - September is just a slog though.
The Titans will go for a tackle at the top spot.
Mariota missed 4 games due to injuries this year and could have missed more, you don't want that for your franchise QB. They will get him some protection.
So Jerrell Freeman has 2 TD's in his career.
His first was the very first TD the Colts scored under Chuck Pagano in the regular season. His second? The very last TD the Colts scored under Chuck Pagano.
Coughlan has resigned too.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...-as-head-coach
\o/
A fair way of him leaving given what he's done for the Giants over his 12 years. Interested to see who we get in now though I hope McAdoo and Spags get kept on as coordinators.
Pagano's survived. Common sense prevails in Indy.
Well only a bit.
Irsay has also given Grigson a 4 year contract.
If all that is true, christ knows how long both of them will still be in Indy.Quote:
1. Grigson reportedly insisted that Pagano play -- and even start -- running back Trent Richardson. The very same Trent Richardson who Grigson gave up a first-round pick to acquire from Cleveland. Also the very same Trent Richardson who averaged 2.9 yards per carry in his first season in Indy, and 3.3 the next, before the team mercifully let him go.
"According to sources, Grigson was concerned with creating the narrative that it was a good trade, something it clearly was not," Kravitz wrote.
That's a hell of a narrative.
2. Grigson reportedly insisted that Pagano use 31-year-old Josh Cribbs at returner last season, even though Pagano was against it. Cribbs fumbled in the AFC Championship Game blowout loss to the Patriots, which is now mostly remembered for Deflategate. Worth mentioning: It was who Grigson informed the league that he had concerns the Pats were up to no good.
3. Grigson reportedly overruled Pagano on at least one occasion when the coach wanted to punish a player. "The culture here now is the worst I've ever seen it," a source told Kravitz, alluding to the frequency with which Colts players have been arrested in recent years.
4. As La Canfora reported in September, offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton was forced on Pagano. Hamilton was fired midseason and replaced by Rob Chudzinski. "Pep was never answerable to Chuck," a source told Kravitz. "Pep answered to Ryan, and everybody in the building knew it."
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. gave a cryptic response when asked if he's spoken to linebacker Terrell Suggs about recovering from an Achilles injury.
"Suggs is a little vulnerable right now," Smith said Monday as players cleaned out their lockers. "So, I'm not going to talk to Suggs about it. He's not a ray of sunshine like he usually is."
He also didn't go to the locker room after the final team meeting of the season (a few other injured players didn't too). I think we could be hearing of Suggs retiring soon enough.
Coughlin's presser today was brilliant. Has all the hallmarks of his personality in it :D
The rumours of Sean Payton wouldn't be the end of the world either.
"Like many players at this stage of their career, I am currently evaluating options for my future," Johnson said in a statement. "I would expect to have a decision regarding this matter in the not-too-distant future."
Sounds like Megatron might be about to retire :(
Good. Maybe Stafford can throw to his open receivers now.
Sean Payton is staying in NOLA.
Yay?
Lovie Smith has been fired by the Buccaneers which is a bit of a surprise. They weren't great but I thought they showed enough during the season to give him a third year.
The NFL is a all a bit Barclays Premiership Sponsored by Barclays with all of the coaching changes this year.
Didn't see that one coming. They finished on a bad run, but they looked like a side on the up, so it seems strange to get rid of him when there's a lot of reason to think they could've been pushing for a playoff spot in the next season or two.
Peyton is officially starting in the playoffs as well
Really odd given that on nfl.com the "experts" gave the bucs the best review in the draft, so he was clearly moving them in the right direction. Going from 2 wins to 6 is certainly better than Gus Bradley did in Jacksonville and yet Gus still has a gig and Lovie's shown the door.
http://www.nfl.com/halloffame/story/...fame-finalists
I can't see TO getting in first time, obviously Favre will.
Surely it's Warner's time and I'd love to see Atwater in purely based on this hit destroying the Nigerian Nightmare:
http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view6/366...-atwater-o.gif
I have no faith in Houston thumping Kansas City tomorrow.
Even if we did win we're facing the Patriots and probably going to get dicked on :moop:
Because they wont.
The Chiefs will run riot.
Favre is a gimme, I'd like to see Warner go straight in too. I'm a big fan of John Lynch but he's not making it as a first-ballot but TD might.
I think this is Warner's third year of eligibility.
I would have thought he'd go straight in.
I also think this is Lynch's fourth time and TD's 11th.
How TD has been overlooked so many times I don't know.
Edit: Warner's second.
Davis will always have the short career argument against him. Though personally I'd have him there in a shot.
Didn't realise Lynch had been eligible that long but I suppose that makes sense if I think about it.
And I don't really get how Davis hasn't had it yet either. Giggles will be right about the short career being held against him by some because it'll have hurt his career stats but he really ought to be in there.
Looks like most, if not all of my fantasy league will be off to the Giants @ Rams game over here which should give it a little something extra. Current plan is to have one guy block buy all the tickets, but there may be a single person limit on how many you can take.
Also, perhaps strangely, at least 2 of these people are already writing out their draft for next years fantasy league.
That's fucking mental behavior. They should be forced to stick to whatever plan they formulate now, and draft Megatron in the 1st round even if he retires.
2015 All-Pro team is here:
QB: Cam Newton
RB: Adrian Peterson, Doug Martin
FB: Mike Tolbert (I think it should have been Juszczyk as he's been brilliant, 321 receiving yards and 4 TD's is damn good)
TE: Rob Gronkowski
WR: Antonio Brown, Julio Jones
T: Joe Thomas, Andrew Whitworth
G: David DeCastro, Marshal Yanda
C: Ryan Kalil
K: Stephen Gostkowski
KR: Tyler Lockett
DE: Khalil Mack, JJ Watt
DT: Geno Atkins, Aaron Donald (I think Brandon Williams should have been in ahead of Geno but it was damn close)
LB: Navarro Bowman, Thomas Davis, Luke Kuechly, Von Miller, Khalil Mack (only player to make the team in two different positions)
CB: Josh Norman, Patrick Peterson
S: Eric Berry (fuck Hodgkin's Lymphoma ), Tyrann Mathieu
P: Johnny Hekker
Hekker's finest moment of the season was clearly this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbsX0SAIIoY
Yeah they think because they've watched some College football that they are already going to smash it next year. This is the guys who finished 2nd and 3rd this time around.
I keep telling them all I'm picking Gary Barnidge as my first round pick to keep them guessing. They can do as they wish really, but the commissioner of the league is one of these two and he's decided that the draft will happen on the last weekend before the season starts. So we can all meet up for it and so everyone gets a full roster of fit players. I think it should be done before pre-season and it should be tough shit if any one picks up a Jordy Nelson as 2015 has a bucket load of players go down anyway.
Eagles are after Coughlin :eyemouth:
What a hire he'd be.
Miami is the first team to make a head coaching hiring this season.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ign-5year-deal
With Adam Gase who should help Tannehill a lot.
He was the first interviewed by us which suggests he isn't our first choice. Coughlin though :eyemouth:
The interceptions :harold:
That's not how you want to start your play-offs either.
Fumble :D
God we look shite.
Still no Kev :(
The Chiefs
Bar the pick ofc.
This game is mental.
Hoyer just dropped a few 0s with that air fumble
Amazing :D
Now watch us shit our way to three points.
JJ Watt on offense :serious:
That was fucking mental.
Can I sack our coach please?
Hoyer :harold:
Dontari mother fucking Poe is going to be in Hoyer's nightmares tonight.
Oh and I'd have loved for Watt to run it in behind Wilfork.
JJ would be one hell of a catching threat. What is he about 6 foot 6? Bringing him on to rush I'm not so sure about. Worth mixing it up though I suppose.
Texans will do nothing with Hoyer under center.
It's not that mental, he has 3 receptions for 4 yards and 3 TD's.
And here they are:
https://cdn0.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/V0F...6/watttd.0.gif
https://cdn1.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/o6Y...044/watt.0.gif
https://cdn1.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/I4I...0/WATTTT.0.gif
The rushing attempt was his first in the NFL though.
Hoyer again :D
Oh and Marcus Peters is DROY.
Texans to check down the back of the sofa for a QB at half time.
Hoyer you twat.
Throw a bullet pass or throw it away.
I decided to have a go at that Playoff Challenge thing on the NFL site & went with Santos, Maclin, Ware & the Chiefs defence. Pretty satisfied so far :D
I do like the Texans though, even if Hoyer is trying to throw the game. Watt running behind Wilfork is beautiful stuff.
Big Ben looks like Curtis Axel with that beard.
They seriously need to pull Hoyer now.
He currently can't throw a ball. They have nothing to lose by changing him out.
Game is over now. Hopefully that Maclin injury isn't a serious one though.
That's a killer catch by Hopkins, shame he needed to push off to get some separation though.
This has been a disaster
It was to be expected.
The Texans aren't a good team at all and they got into the playoffs because they're in a poor division.
They've had some good results this year but a playoff game against a beastly Chiefs team (defence) who are riding a 10 game winning streak? Not a chance.
And there goes the Chiefs Defence again.
There aren't many units better than them this year.
Averaging less than 12 points a game against them in the last 11 games now.
It's going to be great seeing the Chiefs shit all over New England or the Broncos.
I might adopt the Chiefs as my team at some point... I fucking loved them at Wembley (mainly because I had Alex Smith in my fantasy team and he bossed it) and their fans were awesome. I'd love to see them go all the way, but not quite ready to declare them "my team" because a big part of me would still like to see the Cards win it.
I'm adding Chiefs/Seahawks to my list of acceptable SB50 matches.
Think I may have mentioned back on the old TTH that I saw one LSU game about 3/4 years ago & thought Spencer Ware was a beast. Time has proved me to be correct. Get me a scouting job
Not sure how this is such a defensive game.
I have no problem with the Hawks making it, but for Pete Carroll. He just looks like a guy you want to see punched in the face. I can't explain why, he just does.
0 points in their last 60 minutes of playoff games for the Bengals :cab:
That wasn't long enough of a big man run.
From first view that looks to me like it's coming back. The tackle after the fumble looked like it got the big guy down.
So the Bengals are really getting bailed out by their defence so far. Though I'm sure I just saw they are 0-13 in post season play after falling behind.
Indeed, they've never won a playoff game in which they've gone behind, haven't won one at all since 1990 and have gone like 80 minutes of game time without scoring in playoff games now.
This is very much like Kansas City, Steelers are getting turnovers but just can't do shit but kick FG's.
They couldn't block a bit more?
If Antonio scores the first TD I get over £100.
Bastards.
Edit: Ugh, fuck you Ben and Bryant.
That catch was fucking mental though.
That was a fantastic effort. He'd been called out by Ben for not being great in the run in too.
That should see the Steelers through unless the Bengals offence suddenly clicks.
RIP in pieces Giovanni Bernard.
Oh and that's a fumble.
I can see a few massive hits on the way now. Boiling over nicely.
Burfict :D
You had to know he'd be coming.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
Also does he look a little puffy lately? I know he's not exactly skinny but he looks heavier than I remember him.
Just what this game needed.
The Bengals have no one but themselves to blame for all of this. Their players are absolutely fucking stupid and several will be getting fined and 1 or 2 suspended. Antonio Brown is lucky he still has a head on his shoulders.
I wanted the Steelers out, but after that, fuck the Bengals.
Poor quality but for fucks sake. I'll be surprised if Brown knows what week it is.
https://gyazo.com/6036e2f417f8bc87f415cbd366d3adf3.png
Just caught the highlights of that game, looked really good. Bengals should have had it.
Sam Shields is out for tonight. I couldn't see much chance they were beating Washington anyway but that's the final nail in it now.
Tried to watch it on GamePass, but it's on blackout. They were showing the full game replay on the NFL Network though, so i just watched it there instead :D Pretty crazy even for a Bengals/Steelers game. Ryan Shazier had a huge game, and it's not really much of a shock that the two biggest mentalists on the Bengals team ended up giving up game losing penalties because they couldn't stop being mentalists.
Kansas City definitely have a shot against the Pats, especially if they don't have everyone back, while the Steelers will be relying on Axelmania having a good enough shoulder to continue to run wild, especially if they're going to be without Antonio Brown. The two games tonight aren't quite as exciting, although I am looking forward to seeing Kirk Cousins carve the Packers apart (maybe).
Cousins won't even need to. The Packers have one of the worst offenses in the NFL, won't score more than 10. The Packers defence is the best they've had in years too. I'll go 27-9.
Disappointing openers to the playoffs but absolutely expected. Houston are a garbage side and the Bengals are surely the biggest choke merchants in all of sport. The Bryant catch was a beaut though.
I fancy Washington (eugh) and Seattle tonight.
In a world where the nfl is worried about concussions why in the hell was shaziers crest of the helmet hit to Bernard's face a legal hit?
The bengals were idiots there but that's where it all stemmed from. I was fully expecting a personal foul on shazier. Instead they gave him the ball. :moop:
There really wasn't much difference between the hit on brown and Bernard that one is a 15 yard penalty (using the shoulder) and one is a legal hit (helmet).
Aaron Rodgers will surely storm it given everyone has written him off against the fucking redskins.
As far as I know, the one on Bernard, he had caught the ball, turned and become a runner. At that point it was just seen as a tackle and fumble.
The one on Brown was on a defenseless receiver who was still airborne.
Yeah, that's seemingly what people are saying. But there's no way Bernard was walking away from that with anything other than at least a mild concussion. He catches the ball facing the other way, he turns around and bang, head shot. He may have the ball and two feet down but he hasn't had any chance to see any defenders coming.
Deoin sanders was trying to claim Burfict's wasn't a penalty but I'm not entirely sure about that.
The calls the refs made at the end of the game basically decided the contest. The Jones penalty in particular looked all sorts of wank. Seemingly he had a go on social media about it and raised some pretty valid points. Hope the Steelers get destroyed in the next round.
Going to be one of the coldest games ever in the NFL.
Should be a few of these:
http://www.theonion.com/article/nfl-...y-heads-o-2340
Looks like we've interviewed Chiefs OC Doug Pederson. I quite like the sound of him.
Favres backup
Zimmer is a mong, you never challenge the spot of the ball unless it's make or break for the game because they're almost never overturned.
Baldwin
Someone call a doctor, Blair Walsh is choking :harold:
Walsh you mong.
Well, i hope Blair Walsh enjoys his unemployment.
Jesus, that's so harsh on the vikings.
Wilson is such a wet blanket.
Well that at least makes later a little easier to take.
The Vikings
Laces OUT, Dan!
At times it seems like the Packers just can't be arsed with blocking.
Hopefully that stop isn't a sign of things to come in this game...
I would say I can't believe that ending, but all throughout the game I was reading updates about how it's Walsh's game so it felt a little like tempting fate. Harsh if he gets all the blame though.
Yeah, here come the real Packers :moop:
Even when Lacy gets off a decent run it looks so laboured.
He just looks far too slow and heavy, it's like when a defensive line-man scoops up a fumble.
