Does anybody have access to any of the old Fifa? I want to collect some Pro Clubs data from Fifa 22 and earlier. You cant download them from the PS store anymore so it seems you need the disc. I dont even know if you can get into the pro clubs section and if the stats are still there

For 23 I ended up getting it in November when the itch came back. Then for 24 I didn't pre order but evos got me back in the door. Seeing how they handled those earlier in the year, and not expecting them to be any better this year, I will be holding off. The "new" features dont feel as much of a leap forward as evos and play styles last year.

Somehow they will put a stop to cards like that going extinct or do something so we cant profit from holding cards. They did it with MM, league sbcs, etc. They will do it with evos
Making every pack with a silver or bronze it in untradeable would be one way.

Yeah, that seems the most severe change. More than doubling it to receive the same rewards whilst moving a bunch of objectives into friendly modes. Likewise making qualifiers 3/5 is going to be savage.
Some good stuff like making top tier rewards really good and reducing the SB games down.

Rattled through some SB games to clear off some objectives. Didn't pack anything of note aside from a Bruno and a Mazraoui (who looks pretty decent).
Tactics seem like they could be interesting (setting players at corners seems cool) but I didn't get into the new game mode yet. There's some bug I keep getting when going to the store which requires killing the app and restarting :moop:
Gameplay is a bit floaty and the camera still feels a bit off, but otherwise it's back once again for the renegade master.
Rush is, as suspected, utterly fucking horrific.
You pick a player, go into a four on four match with a stereotypical forrin commentator bleating all over the shop, you play the game, which lasts forever and it has absolutely no connection with your actual ultimate team apart from earning you points towards XP. But, but, but, the one game I played we won 8-2, I scored 4 goals and I got 2,200 Rush points and I need 70,000 of the fuckers to complete the objective related to it for some packs and XP. 35 games of that shit as an absolute minimum in 7 days? Kill me now.
Oh and my 4,600 FIFA Points are nowhere to be seen.

Didnt realize Vidal as back in the game. His stats are nice for a silver card outside pace. Might be a decent evo investment.
I got more engaged with it before I turned in, but I really don't like the changes they've made so far and Rush is piss stain on the entire game - we're stuck with it as well for this entire cycle at least as there's no chance of them aborting it inside a year given the focus they've put on it.
The fact the linked it to UT means they wont abandon it like that Volta shit.
The requirements for that Alaba SBC do not bode well.
It's just to get people to rinse their points/spend for the sake of completing it for "prestige"
Played some Rush just now...I quite like it. Mostly it just comes down to having people who actually track back being the difference between winning and losing, so I've found myself playing as defenders a fair bit. Amusing that you can clearly spot a ball-hogging ingrate IRL, even via the medium of FIFA :D
I do wonder if they'll keep it alive artificially via objectives or it'll just be like Moments which was left to die and I'd imagine will get croaked in the next next version or so
I got in last night drunk and actually got on much better with it. I think a TTH team could be almost fun. It'll make the objectives easier to get as well as we'd full bonus it every time rather than watching in pain as your team mates completely ignore that fundamental aspect of the mode.

I’ve bought this for this first time in donkeys. Defending still as impossible as ever. I tried to copy some bloke off of YouTube and his tactics set up but he has the defensive line as high and I have no idea how they manage to defend like that. The opposition just lump the ball from defence to their strikers and it’s a 2v2 on the half way line.
Div 6 and already infuriating. The difference in quality from 7 to 6 has been mental

What are the rush obj and what is the reward?
You have to get 70,000 Rush points (from playing the new Rush game mode) and you get a load of SP (was XP) and some decent packs (including an 84x2).
You get somewhere between 1,400 and 4,000 Rush points per game depending on how many players you have that fit the bonus points criteria.

It's pretty easy if you have at least one or two players who'll bother tracking back. Then it's just basketball and outscoring the opposition. Easiest way to score is to sweat it across the box.
btw - make sure you add the players who'll tick off the "team objective" in the player select and you can rattle through it way quicker

The issue with rush is the teammates. I’m by no means good but 90% of my games are filled with literal retards on my team. It’s horrendous

Foden was literally just packed from one of those 77+ x2 upgrade packs and need to work out how to fit him in.
Loving Kane, Schuller and Gnabry, but the standout is Rice who moves to CDM in a 41212 and is an absolute menace. Game is really growing on me now, will post some more detailed thoughts once I've been into Rivals properly this coming weekend.

Haven’t hit anyone obscene so far, but my pack luck has been pretty decent so far. Got 4 walkouts in a row from one of the foundation SBC segments.
Oh and on SBC’s I haven’t done any players yet but I think I will do all the cheaper ones, a hard pass on Alaba and a probable pass on Haaland but we’ll see how the fodder goes.

Div 5 Rival rewards as meh as ever. Mega pack was full of consumables. 75 x 10 rare players pack gave me Alaba as highest rated and 75 x 25 rare players pack gave me Rice and Alaba and a bunch of low rated fodder
I think this version, im going down another Wolves Evo route, but this time. EVERY evo is going to be a wolves players. Even the paid versions. I will spend my coins on. The past several fifas, at the end of the game i still have millions of coins im not spending. I have been playing with untradeables for years now.
My plan is to save coins and big packs for TOTY as trying to pack one of those bad boys is just fun and there's always a power curve spike from the SBC's anyway. That said, tempted by that Octopus evo on a packed Renato Sanches I have. You can stick another one on him afterwards and make him an 84 that looks very tidy.

Been tweaking tactics in a 433 CDM and ive found that i need to put my wingers on wide playmakers attack. The fullist heat map shows them right by the corner flags which is where i want them. High up against the opps fullbacks.
This give my two cms more room in the center. With one of my full backs inverting. I can just toy and frustrate my opponents and recycle the ball in the middle.
I havent given long ball FC a go yet. Anyone used Thuram POTM yet?
I find L1+ through ball passes work well around the box if you have a player running onto it. A few times ive been caught out where ive put my striker through and it looks like the ball will favour the defender, but your striker strongarms the defender out the way.

I got a tradeable Foden and Gundogan from Squid Battles which was a sweet 130k or so into the account.
Played one game on SB World Class and he felt like an absolute lummox. Might need a formation change to get the most out of him.
Talking of Squad Battles, I've been utterly fucked this week with my first four games - all 80+ rated squads.
Squad battles is a bit of a cheat code for packs and stuff if you can be arsed grinding it. Thankfully wfh makes it somewhat manageable
What are you playing on difficulty wise Waff and which rank do you finish in?
I’ll be honest, I didn’t know you only got 12 games to get your score until I played my 13th game and got 0’s all over at the end of the game. I was just playing semi pro to get rewards and spam the power shot, finesse assists etc for packs. So winning anywhere from 20-0 or more. I got Elite 3 rewards I think.
When I do it again I’ll probably go world class. I assume that’s a high enough quality to hit Elite 1 at the minimum but I think I’ll wait until closer to Sunday this week so I know what score I need.
They got rid of max 79 for rush? Thank the lord.
Once you are on World Class any tips on how you break down the opposition when their midfield drops back and you have a wall of 7/8 players in front of you would be appreciated.
I deliberately give them the ball and do my best to tackle them nearer my box and spam the driven pass to my forwards. Once my forward has the ball, do the give and go and he should make a run in behind the defence. The AI defence at world class is still pretty pants when they’re running backwards so it should be a free goal when you’re in behind

@Waff you should have 14 games if you play the TOTW and special teams.
Feel like the AI on higher levels was same on the previous one. Counter attacking them all the way. When you on top you end up having to have a pop from range to win a corner to abuse that or give them a goal kick to get them up the field.
I didn't really think Rush could get much worse after week 1, but it's now full of people AFKing just to get the points to get the objectives done for packs and the bonus points game this weeks requires (all of) you to use a centre back.
Couple that with the fact the entire game now appears to be geared around the top 10% to 20% of players and I think EA might have run mad a bit. Which is a shame as the rest of it is pretty decent to far.

Gabriel Martinelli also out, with Kane and Schuller back in the side and we move to 4-2-4, with Foden on the wing and Kane moving into his Southgate England role. Curious to hear the thoughts of others on the role +'s and ++'s as my experience with them so far is very underwhelming - I genuinely can't tell the difference between utilising them and not.
The Roles thing is just an overlay on the tactics stuff from last year. I don't think it's any real difference at all. Like Neymar would be "bad" at being a striker, but he's also great because he's 5/5 and agile as fuck.
The main thing it does is obfuscate how your team will actually play, which seems to be the main point.
I disagree, I think the ++ does make a difference. The biggest thing I noticed was Bernardo Silva being used as a ‘half winger’. Played completely different and felt great.

I think the roles themselves make a difference, I'm just yet to see ++ or + do anything.
The roles 100% make a difference. Putting my wingers on Wide Playmaker - Attack compared to Winger - Attack was huge. The wide players stay closer to the oppositions full backs. Super high and super wide. Just where i want them.

I got my 15 wins across Division 8 and 7, which is where I am now and it was relatively comfortable for someone shit at the game like me. I'm under no illusion though, get promoted to a Division you can't cope with and you're going to have a horrible time.
I thought relegation being brought back was supposed to sort this, but I then heard that's only in Division 1 and 2, which is yet another thing in the game this year aimed at top level players. I genuinely don't understand what they're playing at.

Which has led to me putting my controller down and going AFK in this current game, while losing 4-0, in a determined effort to see if starting to rack some full game losses up will actually register against my form.
I'll be honest gents, this is not how I want to be spending my time.
I'm genuinely baffled by these changes as they must serve, what, 5-10% of their userbase? I was ok with not always being able to qualify for Weekend League previously, but if you're going to make it so I never can again then at least give me a Europa League style alternative (or in my case Conference League). Chuck in the fact that Rivals is 15 wins, which will only be tolerable when you're ascending the divisions or have sand bagged the shit out of it (which everyone will ultimately do as why would you want to play upwards of 40 high stress games to get the points needed every.single.week for 40 fucking weeks in a row) and friendlies also seems fucked and I'm close to giving it a rest for a bit until they sort this shit out.Quote:

It’s decent enough but it’s a bit buggy and I think the passing can be ridiculously bad at times.
Do people think chemistry styles work? I swear you whack a hunter or catalyst on someone and they still feel like a slug.
I think chemistry styles do something, roles do something, but I'm still yet to see the benefit of a + or a ++.
What i would like to think is, when someone gets a a max playstyle or role. Their stats go to 99 for that particular area. For example. Ive evo'd my joao gomes so he has ++ in the holding role. I would hope he gets 99 in intercept and slidetackle or something like that.
They have been "proven" in the past by testing. More specifically certain animations/celebrations are locked to certain things like agility, which can be boosted with chem style. As an example there used to be a celebration in the game where you did a flip of some kind, but you could only perform it with an agility stat of a certain number or higher. They got a player that was under it, with the right chem style on, was suddenly able to do it.Quote:

Having a super team really hides the deficiencies until you reach the higher divisions. I’m stuck in a revolving Div 3 and 2 cycle. Think I’ve won 2 games on the latter. I got 10 wins in champs but I think I got extremely lucky. Everyone for the majority felt really bad. Even the games I lost were close.
Every single TOTW upgrade SBC and TOTW pack in general has been 80 rated I swear. :D

After some serious testing. Any formation with 2 strikers is the way to go. You can literally win thr ball with your defenders and do a ping pass directly to your strikers and they will out right on top of the other players defenders. Really difficult to stop. 5 back formations can fuck off too

I got back into it for a little bit after a break and have been playing some more over the last couple of days. The new gameplay patch has improved things a bit but the fodder levels are still shite. They gave everyone a Jude Bellingham card, for some reason.
Just logged on to get Bellingham and was staggered how cumbersome the menus are. Everything takes an unnecessary amount of time and don’t get me started on what they’ve done to player picks.
Did a few SBC’s, felt my brain bleeding out of my ears and canned it.
I havent played since the start of the month, but I will give it another go over the next few weeks. I played last night and the gameplay felt good. I was twisting up people with left stick and it felt great. Have another go at the Wolves Evo
I've been playing the Madden version of Ultimate Team this year. I'm much less competitive at it than FUT, but am enjoying it all the same.
The glitches are just as hilarious though. For example there is a glitch in-game that means if you have a left handed quarterback and he tries to run to the left after he gets the ball, he gets a bad animation that slows him right down. Well they have just released a special card of perhaps the most famous leftie QB(Michael Vick) and instead of fixing the mentioned bug, they've just made him right handed for reasons.
They are currently doing a nice winter promo though. For December you can earn a separate currency in game and you have a choice whether you use that currency to buy/upgrade select players now, or use them to buy "presents" that are mystery and only open on christmas day.
I never bought it.
I did dabble on the web app early on and expected to be booted from that ages ago. Bounce in and out of Neps vids. Did start messing with the app again around Black Friday when they did the daily log in to see what it was all about.
Not enough to entice me to the game but I might just mess around off and on until TOTS and see how good a team I can build without the game.
Speaking of Nep, his FUTMAS video was great.

I think this might have finally died for me. Maybe more or less a full year off will reignite a spark next time, but I'm physically repulsed by how much all of the SBC's are so I'm not even sure it's that. I've been playing a fair bit of Fallout 76 lately and while it obviously can't go full EA on the grinding content (as it just doesn't have the user base to support that level of nonsense without railing the profit it makes), the respect it has for your time (which I'd still barely describe as good) is miles ahead of EAFC.
Like 20 squads for KDB. The uber cards at the end of the year are going to be about 60 of them, it's just all so unnecessary.

Also, I didnt pack any TOTY. However I did back Xavi who is great at passing and dribbling, but his shooting and strength is lacking for a playmaker CM. Given I no longer have any players to Evo at the moment. I played with that free Zidane last night. Man is sensational. Even without the upgrades. I play one holding CDM and two CMs who have to have playmaker+. Zidane does and he is an absolute machine. Best card I've used all year.
In my Wolves team. I have 3 players that are not Wolves. Mendy, Vini Jr POTM and Courtois. I may have to get Zidane in.

Have to say, I am loving this at the moment. Probably the best the game has been. Such a shame they can't string it together for a whole year's worth.
I feel like they definitely stealth rolled-back some of the changes to bring the average score down. The offside runs have increased a lot, for example.
I really like how viable Evos are now as well. I have 6/11 players in my team who I've evolved and they're not terrible. There's a lot of options to meld players into what you want them to be.
I think the key is to hold off on evo',s and even skip some, if they dont give your players the stats you really want. I want to add quick step to my 87 sarabia. I could have launched him up to 89 for the past few weeks but im holding off and hope, it comes. Its super meta though so its unlikely for a while.
Yep, this is the way - optimise it for "meta" cards who are underrated (literally) and then build what will actually work.
Example: I have Kante who has Intercept and not much else, a really effective body type and solid base stats. With a few Evos he's now 4/4, got a bunch of great other play styles that fix his glaring issues (tiki-taka for passing etc.) and have added in some others to round out the card. I now want to wait for either an acceleration boost or a long pass Evo to chuck him in. It probably won't happen until I can add two PS+'s though

Option 1 (Slide Tackle and Incisive) is by completing playmaking protector and then attackers instinct.
Option 2 (Incisive and Quick Step) comes by completing three levels of PP and then attackers instinct.
Attributes remain the same SM and WF remain the same.
PS+ Quick Step and Slide Tackle swap between being gold and silver Role different greatly between the two evos.
Stuck between what to choose. The roles would be very nice to have, but then slide tackle is gold rather than quick step.

They have changed evos recently to give you the silver one early on the chain. Which then upgrades to gold if there is space.
I think it was added to counter the bug with the TOTY evo where players only ended up with 2 PS.
If my player has two gold platstyles already, and i put him in a evo that gives another gold that he does not have. It should get added as a silver. Nice.

Backline boss does anticipate silver in level 1 and then gold in level 2.
Just like Jamie does power shot silver in level 1 and then gold in level 2. It also does rapid silver in level 2 and then gold in 3.

I managed to do it in about 40 minutes. About half my games, my opp quit once i scored first but becuase there are times you get 3x boost for goals. Scumbags play out the whole game. Its looks like it is about 3 minutes a half.
Seems a good chunk of people are playing GG. So that’s good. I got a few in yesterday when I thought it was the + play style. Relaxed on it when it wasn’t.

Yeah, you only need to do 5 of them and once you claim the player (via claim all) you can’t claim the 6th if you haven’t already done it.
A few new evos look interesting with one that gives 99 dribbling. My favourite card to ive used is Sarabia but I think if I give him the 99 dribbling, it will affect him down the line I'm hoping, he will be low enough rated to add QuickStep+. I could evolve him into the beast below but I tihnk ill pass for now.

Ive upgraded Podence over the past week or so and he feels so good. He cant really shoot or pass, but I play him as a LW with the attack instruction on Winger++ which means he stays wide all the time. It is a great card to use at the moment. Giving him that grassroot evo means he has two chem. Annoying that when you evo him again, he will lose this benefit.

In the evo lab you can click “evolutions” and exclude from player upgrades.

Toure is good though on. B2B role. Its just long ball up to drogba and a through ball header which he wins 70% of the time abd then Toure is around the box with his 99 long shots and power. 39 goals in 40 games. All in Rivals and champs is great for a CM.
New Evo to celebrate Beckenbaur release is quite nice. Tempted to use it on Shawberto Carlos but he already has all the play styles from other evos. Seems like a waste.
Any tips on which two of those four SBC players to take yet?

Ive given up on trying to give Sarabia quick step+. It has came out several times and he does not fit, missing out because of too many positions or too high stats.
Ive gone with Strand Larsen instead at 6"4 and that quick step+ and hawk. He could be various, as long as I don't try and turn with him

I havent. With my storage being full I havent been able to get past my Immortal Pack (Lil Bro Rooney) and then my SB reward which is a dupe 91.
Will get mine tomorrow I think, along with the 87x15 or whatever it is for the season end. Might save it though, not sure. Otherwise it's fuel for Gullit. Only got the 90 squads left for him now and haven't spent anything yet.
I got sick of managing dupe storage so Gullit started. 2 91s down to free up some space.
My 90x5 was pretty crap. Del Piero the best actual card but did get that 95 German icon keeper to knock another 91 segment of Gullit off with.

It’s quite time consuming but basically bronze and silver daily upgrades, super silver upgrades, grind pack, daily gold and then tots upgrade packs. You’ll run out of bronzes and silvers unless you have a stacked club so open bronze packs to get the former and buy silver commons to get the latter. Rinse and repeat.
Oh and I should add I’m opening the daily gold upgrades, grind pack and tots upgrade packs and saving every 83x10 upwards.
A quick way to do it is pale tools

Probably not the best i can do as it ignores cards like 95 Lewa, 93 Olmo and some others of that ilk (and some women I need to throw into Gullit when I do him).
If only it showed you in game, who your most used players are. Even if you have sold them or through them into an SBC.

I was thinking about doing Gullit. Ive never used him for any long period on Fifa. I did Yaya and he was out my team within two weeks. Gullit as a CAM with Shadow Striker adds another dimension for Long Ball FC as if has Jump+
