Benjamin carted off too. The Bills are a joke.
The Bengals. :D
Osweiler/Dre Kirkpatrick :D
What a mong Dre Kirkpatrick is for not putting the points on the board.
That's 3.... fucking hell Bills.
Pickterman \0/.
Any shots of Tyrod looking smug on the sideline?
Someone call Tyrod.
:drool:
It was obvious to everyone it was a terrible decision.
Why is Hanson saying it's 3 picks?
It's 4 from only 9 pass attempts.
He has more INTs in ten pass attempts than Tyrod has all season :D
Still going for Peterman but Tyrod was talking in the huddle.
Yeah, Tyrod was the real problem.
Peterman's tenth throw was the first one that wasn't caught. 5 completions, 4 INTs, 1 incompletion :D
Accuracy through the roof.
Raiders double team Brandin Cooks & let they him run right between them :D
Nice to see Austin Ekeler's backup getting in the endzone.
Record is 8 apparently.
In Peterson we trust.
5 is the count.
How many does it take to get Tyrod back in?
Technically at 11/14 in terms of passes that have been caught which is a 78.6% completion rate.
Not many elite QBs can challenge that.
Technically at 11/14 in terms of passes that have been caught which is a 78.6% completion rate.
Not many elite QBs can challenge that.
Certainly higher than Tyrod's completion percentage.
God our offense is crap.
Gostkowski nailed that. Imagine if Janikowski was on the other side.
I saw Tucker warming up by kicking from the opposite 45 yard line, in the Azteca he could probably drill them from the opposite end of the stadium.
Jake Elliott would be kicking from the car park.
Apparently the Raiders have yet to record an interception this season. Chargers with 5 in one half :P
As bad as the likes of Cleveland, Denver, NYG & Tampa have been this season I think there's a genuine case to be made that the Oakland Raiders are the worst team in the league right now.
Oh, and Tyrod's back.
:D
Tyrod has this.
Tyrod has come in with a 25% completion rate.
We want Peterman back.
Lol at that Raiders receiver.
Looked worse on the first angle though.
Ajayi adds so much to our backfield. Hopefully the rest of the game goes like that.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...tor-mike-mccoy
Mike McCoy has been fired as OC in Denver.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...he-qb-position
Bills are still being stupid: "We are still evaluating the QB position and we'll take it one day at a time right now," McDermott said Monday, via the team's official Twitter feed. "I do think heavily about our team in every decision that's made."
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...s-after-injury
Zach Miller has left hospital after 23 days.
It's also nice to see that the Seahawks RBs are so shit that they're collectively getting outrushed by Wilson.
7 carries for 86 yards and 1 TD for Russell
16 carries for 50 yards and 0 TD's collectively for the 3 RBs.
Don't know how long this has been the case, but there's a fuck ton of NFL London stuff from this season being sold off dirt cheap:
http://europe.nflshop.com/stores/nfl...onGames-_-1411
Those head to head mugs :cab:
The Broncos are giving Lynch a go this weekend.
Also the Bears cut Barth after his laughable attempt at the game tying field goal. They've signed Cairo Santos to replace him.
Pick'em was really close this week...
@Sir Andy Mahowry - 10pts
@Gray Fox & Me - 13pts
@Pleb - 14pts
@Browning - 15pts
@Limoutsonik - 17pts
We all picked the Pats except GF, while every single one of us whiffed on the over/under. We were all miles off on Shady too, with me being closest a mere 14pts too low :D Browning, GF & Limoutsonik all got 6pts from Brown & Kelce. Pleb nailed the Ravens, while everyone else got the next two best defences, so we killed that one :cool:
Thanksgiving week pick'em will be up later. Hopefully we can get everyone in again this week.
We're back to a full slate of games this week, including THREE games on Thursday, but it's not the greatest when you actually look at the lineup. There is, however, one HUGE game that's an easy pick for Game of the Week. I think I've also gone for a pretty interesting player pick too...
Game of the Week: Saints v Rams. Over/under 54.5pts.
Vikings v Lions (Thursday)
Chargers v Cowboys (Thursday)
Giants v Redskins (Thursday)
Bills v Chiefs
Titans v Colts
Browns v Bengals
Buccaneers v Falcons
Dolphins v Patriots
Bears v Eagles
Panthers v Jets
Seahawks v 49ers
Jaguars v Cardinals
Broncos v Raiders
Packers v Steelers
Texans v Ravens
#1 QB:
#1 RB:
#1 WR:
#1 TE:
#1 DST:
Paxton Lynch will score:
Why would anyone not pick Kelce Vs the Giants for fuck sake. :D
Told you he knew his football though.
Wait, it's done by yards? TD's don't come into it? Ricky Seals-Jones is coming after you.
No, I'm guessing Kelce was just the highest scoring TE anyone actually picked.
Game of the Week: Saints v Rams. Over/under 54.5pts.
Vikings v Lions (Thursday)
Chargers v Cowboys (Thursday)
Giants v Redskins (Thursday)
Bills v Chiefs
Titans v Colts
Browns v Bengals
Buccaneers v Falcons
Dolphins v Patriots
Bears v Eagles
Panthers v Jets
Seahawks v 49ers
Jaguars v Cardinals
Broncos v Raiders
Packers v Steelers
Texans v Ravens
#1 QB: Russell Wilson
#1 RB: Le'Veon Bell
#1 WR: Antonio Brown
#1 TE: Gronk
#1 DST: Ravens
Paxton Lynch will score: 14 points.
:cool:
He's turning into an absolute pass rushing beast.
Game of the Week: Saints v Rams. Over/under 54.5pts. - I'm doing it. This is easily the most appealing game of the week, with two of the best offences in football & big time playoff implications for both teams, I'm almost expecting every possible combination of results to be picked here, it's that close. There's definite shootout potential, but I kinda fancy it ending up a tight game with a few turnovers & lots of ball control on both sides. If Lattimore plays I might change my mind, but I think I'm making us marginal underdogs here in a 27-23 type game.
Vikings v Lions - Could be a sneaky entertaining game, but I think Minnesota has the edge on both sides of the ball.
Chargers v Cowboys - I might change this if Tyron Smith plays, but this could be bad for Dak if Joey Bosa gets loose.
Giants v Redskins - Last week the Giants pulled off the upset exactly as I predicted (until I bottled it on Sunday), now they'll go back to being trash.
Bills v Chiefs - This is a sneaky bad game. Chiefs to take it in unimpressive fashion.
Titans v Colts - The Titans are a decent side, and Indy might be forced to start Tolzein, which is an instant loss.
Browns v Bengals - FUCK THE FORMULA, I'M GOING CRAZY!! :drool:
Buccaneers v Falcons - I think this one's pretty straightforward, but you can never tell with division games. Tampa are really bad though...
Dolphins v Patriots - This is the new formula. The Patriots aren't losing again until maybe the SuperBowl. Why did we ever doubt them?
Bears v Eagles - I fancy Chicago to give the Eagles a game here, but in the end they'll still lose by a fair margin because their offence is shit.
Panthers v Jets - Not the result I want as a Saints fan, but the Panthers are a hard team to beat at the minute.
Seahawks v 49ers - I don't think this will be a blowout, but I can't see San Fran winning either.
Jaguars v Cardinals - The Blaine train's going off the side of a mountain this week :(
Broncos v Raiders - I said a few days ago that the Raiders might be the worst team in the league right now. Here's where we find out.
Packers v Steelers - This could be ugly.
Texans v Ravens - The Ravens shitty offence will make this harder than it should be, but the defence will carry them over the line.
#1 QB: Roethlisberger - He could have another performance like last week against a team that's far worse than the Titans.
#1 RB: Fournette - He's due one, and they could put up numbers against Arizona, so there should be opportunity for a couple of short TD runs.
#1 WR: Julio - WR was tough, but here's another guy who's due a monster game & gets a shitty team with lots of opportunity.
#1 TE: Gronk - I tried to pick someone else, but he's Gronk, and he's playing the Dolphins with Brady throwing him the ball.
#1 DST: Steelers - They probably won't do as well as the Ravens last week, but they could still murder Brett Hundley.
Paxton Lynch will score: 18pts - He'll be shaky, but he's helped by the co-ordinator change & the fact he's playing the Raiders. Still fancy they'll finally get a pick this week though.
GAME OF THE WEEK: Saints v Rams. Over/under 54.5pts. - For once this is a proper fist fight. The Saints are on a charge. Super Bowl beckons. Strap yourselves in this is going to get messy.
Vikings v Lions (Thursday) - Here we go with the thanksgiving shitfest. We start off with the Lions playing the Vikings. You know which way this is heading.
Chargers v Cowboys (Thursday) - No Ezekiel Elliott and a decent running game means only one thing. The Cowboys are fucked. Chargers takes it which is proper dirty.
Giants v Redskins (Thursday) - Kirk Cousins likes this.
Bills v Chiefs - Will Tyrod Taylor show up? If so expect this to be garbage. I'm anticipating the Kareem and Kelce show because double acts are the new thing apparently.
Titans v Colts - Hide behind the sofa Colt fans.
Browns v Bengals - Ugh...coin toss.
Buccaneers v Falcons - Blowout. Don't bother turning up Tampa.
Dolphins v Patriots - Not a good time to be facing your divisional rivals Miami. Expect this to be carnage. Potential blowout.
Bears v Eagles - Uh...let's pretend this matchup never happened Chicago. Blowout.
Panthers v Jets - We're garbage. This matchup will probably be garbage. Cam Newton will probably keep reminding me why I bench them in TTH by scoring big week in and week out. Potential blowout.
Seahawks v 49ers - Blowout. Complete and utter garbage as well.
Jaguars v Cardinals - The Jags might as well prepare for offseason at this rate. This one will be garbage though.
Broncos v Raiders - I'm feeling proper filthy with this one. They are playing the Broncos though who can't seem to make up their mind if they want to get themselves a first round rookie quarterback in next year's draft or not.
(Sunday Night) Packers v Steelers - Expect this to be utter carnage.
(Monday Night) Texans v Ravens - :moop:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
#1 QB: Carson Wentz
#1 RB: Jordon Howard
#1 WR: Julio Jones
#1 TE: I hear Greg Olson is coming off IR this week?
#1 DST: New Orleans Saints...yes I'm picking them. I was torn between them and Mahow's lot.
Paxton Lynch will score: 20 points...don't know why I'm probably still not good at this part of the pick ems.
I’ll just do Thursday picks for now:
Vikings
Cowboys
Redskins
Cousins for top QB because why not.
Plebs pick for WR is inspired....
:D
He’s about as much of a WR as Ted Ginn, to be fair.
Game of the Week: Saints v Rams. Over/under 54.5pts. Over 54,since Saints defense is suspect without Lattimore.Saints win.
Vikings v Lions (Thursday)=Vikes wins riding Case's hot hand
Chargers v Cowboys (Thursday)=Sean Lee is out and they don't have a run game now so a grudge win for the Bolts.
Giants v Redskins (Thursday)=Skins asCousins has another monster game and he rides Perrine all the way to victory.
Bills v Chiefs=Chiefs win and it's a blowout.Poor Bills will suffer the wrath of the 4 straight loss Chiefs.
Titans v Colts=Tits win partly because the Colts are a dumpster fire.
Browns v Bengals=Bengals.'Nuff said.
Buccaneers v Falcons=Falcons seem to have their swagger back so easy Falcons win.
Dolphins v Patriots=Really?Smokin' Jay?Pats win easily.
Bears v Eagles=Eagles.'Nuff said.
Panthers v Jets=Interesting little game,slight edge of the Panthers so i am picking them.
Seahawks v 49ers=Closer that it would suggest but still i am backing my Hawks.
Jaguars v Cardinals=Sacksoville in full swing.
Broncos v Raiders=Oof,my heart is out to those who will attend this game.Raiders win,badly.
Packers v Steelers=Steelers DEF is the 2nd best unit so based on that,easy Steelers win.
Texans v Ravens=Ravens DEF is firing on all cylinders although they have a really Jekyll and Hyde mentality.Ravens win.
#1 QB:Tom Brady
#1 RB:Le'veon Bell
#1 WR:Julio Jones
#1 TE:Jimmy Graham
#1 DST:Steelers
Paxton Lynch will score:15 points since he isn't the best thing since sliced bread.
Revis Island is back and this time he's in Kansas.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ct-with-chiefs
After Freeney was surprisingly cut by the Seahawks (he had 3 sacks in 4 limited games) the Lions have signed him.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...eahawks-cut-de
Beathard is still the starter in Niner land.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...rs-vs-seahawks
I should mention for those who don’t play in the TTH league, that the QB scoring in pick’em is based on 6pt TD, -2 INT rather than standard, just in case it affects people’s guesses for Lynch (or Kelce).
Game of the Week: Saints v Rams. Over/under 54.5pts. - Under. Surprising defensive showing for both teams with so much on the line. Brees experience to show and the Saints take it.
Vikings v Lions (Thursday) - Vikings
Chargers v Cowboys (Thursday) - Chargers
Giants v Redskins (Thursday) - Redskins
Bills v Chiefs - Chiefs
Titans v Colts - Titans
Browns v Bengals - Browns(fancy an upset here)
Buccaneers v Falcons - Falcons
Dolphins v Patriots - Pats by about 40 points
Bears v Eagles - Eagles, though will be made to work for it
Panthers v Jets - Panthers
Seahawks v 49ers - Hawks
Jaguars v Cardinals - Jags
Broncos v Raiders - Broncos
Packers v Steelers - Steelers
Texans v Ravens - Ravens
#1 QB: Cam Newton
#1 RB: Lev Bell
#1 WR: TY Hilton
#1 TE: I would say the Skins TE but how can you look past Jimmy Graham.
#1 DST: Steelers
Paxton Lynch will score 13.5 points. If we stick to the current script the Raiders D isn't scaring anyone. The Broncos D will give the kid a chance and he'll lean on top class DT to help him. He'll do okay, but not amazing.
You can’t all copy me & pick the Browns you fuckers :moop:
Doesn't feel right that we're going to have a turkey day without Kev rocking the Cadle :(
A live studio audience :sick:
Rudolph :drool:
He was clearly down.
Shit refs.
The celebration :D ffs.
That's a brilliant throw, especially so when considering he had a rusher right in his face as he was lobbing it up.
Well we've got our #1TE for the week already :D
Jason De-who-lo?
Genuinely no idea who this is but he's shit.
It's almost as bad as when the Black Eyed Peas did Super Bowl and were lost without auto-tune.
I literally back out to the GamePass menu so I didn't have to watch :D
EDIT: Yo @Pleb, change your WR pick to an actual receiver. This week is going to come down to player projections, since we've all pretty much got the exact same picks.
Anyone else's GamePass gone to shit?
Nope, mine's alright at the minute. It's gone dodgy a few times lately though, so I've switched between TV & Xbox, as usually if one's fucked the other's still working.
The game randomly started again and then wouldn't "Go Live", but it's ok now I think.
Stafford's basically just reading Wikipedia for his audibles. Lol at them taking so long on the PAT that they let the officials correct themselves.
Are they not blacked out when they're on Sky?
Also, these team celebrations need to be outlawed again. Ridiculous shite.
How does Newman and Rhodes fuck that up?
Christ.
How did Marvin Jones get that, exactly? Might've crippled Stafford though.
And Newman wasn't even meant to be there :D
Thought Triple H was about to walk onto the pitch there.
Fucking class playing Motorhead The Game in a stadium.
Imagine being there thinking your team had just pulled that off only for it to be offside and thus game over.
Dallas +2 and Washington -7 to complete my ATS treble please.
Melvin Ingram is a beast. Their other Melvin, meanwhile, is just constantly getting fucked by his own linemen.
This camera angle is balls.
Yep. I'm screwed.
Man, American TV looks shit.
I like the angle.
I'm used it though as I play Madden (yes, actual games Giggles) in the same angle. Let's you see almost all of the pitch.
Younghoe Koo is waiting for the call, LA.
Considering he missed the fucking net on the sidelines, you can't trust him at all.
That's not a great sign for the punter :D
I can't get on board with these yellow Charger gloves. Just looks like flags are being chucked all the time.
That's how you travel.
Before the games, preferably :D You can pick anyone you like as long as their game hasn't started, so no Keenan Allen for you.
Rivers is fired up again already this week.
How is this shitefest still 0-0?
I remember why I watch RedZone now - ads run roughly every eight seconds on live games.
I heard you call them San Diego, Mr Stadium Announcer :D
Yep, I heard that too. :D
What a shit fest this has been.
Ugh, this is worse than the first half.
I fucking hate new age country Male singers who think they're amazing. Bellend, mate.
https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/GSeG..._9015718.0.jpg
Call him up Chargers.
Maybe that back's still giving you problems, eh Nick?
Does American really find Big Bang Theory so hilariously funny that they can do a spin-off series? Not to mention Kevin Can Wait & that other one with Matt LeBlanc.
No wonder Trump got in.
Yeah, that was probably a hold :D
Looked like he was trying to lock in the bear hug.
Not sure why the cameras and commentators were so faked out, I thought it looked pretty clear that Dak kept it.
Cowboys getting twatted at home again? I like.
Novak should be taking notes.
Go fuck yourself Rod Smith. Take Ekeler with you too.
Cowboys secondary like whiffing on tackles a lot.
No one wants to tackle Allen? Fine by me. :drool:
Opponent in work league has Allen but it's the Cowboys losing and I'm already in the play-offs so I dont care. Bring on more Cowboy punishment!
:lol:
More picks! More!
This is beautiful. :happycry:
Well that went well.
This Central/South Florida game is good stuff so far.
We have no Lattimore or Crawley this week. Everyone change your picks & get Sammy Watkins in your teams.
Nah I still think Hilton catches a few bombs.
Watching this now. McKenzie Milton looks like a player (not a fan of his first name being spelt the surname way though) - 21pts inside the first quarter & he's had a lot of impressive plays already. I'd heard a lot about UCF this season, but I might actually have to go back & watch some of their other games to see if they've actually played anyone good & if Milton's been this good all season.
Chip Kelly is back.
UCLA.
I'd love to see him flop and disappear from the game completely but he'll probably win a National Championship within 3 years.
No huddle 24/7.
We aren't even guaranteed a playoff spot. We have to play Carolina again, and Atlanta twice, nevermind the Rams this week. Considering the Panthers & Falcons are the two wildcard teams we could easily end up finishing third in our division if we fuck up those games.
Our whole season will come down to beating Carolina & at least splitting with the Falcons, as well as hoping Minnesota can do us some favours when they play both those teams in the next few weeks. If the Vikings can take them both out we'll have a bit more space, but for now those divisional games are all massive. They both play each other in week 17 too, so that could end up saving us too.
---
How about Alabama bottling their whole season at the last moment? :harold:
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ly-free-agency
Ingram will be a free agent if he's picked as a First team All-Pro.
Saints need Kareem the Dream to get out of his slump to save them some money.
They got completely dicked on. Minkah fitzpatrick aside there wasn't a lot of dominating talent. There's a lot of good players, but the studs that normally carry bama on the line weren't there.
Hopefully that's them out the play off picture. Although, if Georgia avenge auburn in the sec championship game it'll be a really interesting decision. Bama haven't really showed they can beat a team. Florida state without Deandre Francois have been garbage, Tennessee lost to fucking vanderbilt and LSU are good but not great.
I'd like to see Oklahoma win it.
Run DMC is about to be waived. Obviously Dallas are happy with Zeke, Morris and now Smith but he'll be a great backup for whoever picks him up.
Who?
Darren McFadden. Previously Ezekiel Elliotts back up.
Ah, I was trying to think of someone with a surname beginning with C. Never thought of the Mc.
Two RBs got in last year. As good as he's been I'm not sure he'll get voted as one of the two best backs in the league. Gurley's probably going to be one of them, then it's between him, Bell, Hunt, Shady, Fournette, Kamara and probably someone else I've forgotten for one spot.
He deserves it, but I'd hope we'd be willing & able to keep hold of him if it did happen.
I'd love to see them win it & Baker dick-grab at Nick Sabin after they crush them in the title game :drool: I'd be amazed if Alabama don't end up still getting selected though, along with whoever wins the Georgia/Auburn & Wisconsin/Ohio State games, and then some other randomer, possibly USC.
Game of the Week: Saints v Rams. Over/under 54.5pts- Rams, Over.
Bills v Chiefs- Chiefs
Titans v Colts- Titans
Browns v Bengals- Bengals
Buccaneers v Falcons- Falcons
Dolphins v Patriots- Patriots
Bears v Eagles- Eagles
Panthers v Jets- Panthers
Seahawks v 49ers- Seahawks
Jaguars v Cardinals- Jaguars
Broncos v Raiders- Broncos
Packers v Steelers- Steelers
Texans v Ravens- Ravens
#1 QB: Not Cousins
#1 RB: Todd Gurley
#1 WR: Keenan Allen? But ok... Antonio Brown
#1 TE: Gronk
#1 DST: Jaguars
Paxton Lynch will score: 20 points.
Have you picked the Gurley & the Jags DST every week? :D
Yes. It will work one day.
Bengals run D looks soft as shit.
How the fuck does Seferian Jenkins not pull that in?
He's so shit.
That's a horrid drop from ASJ.
ASJ seems to have screen time for a drop or mistake every week.
lol at Jenkins.
Defence so good we can give it them back again and they still dont score.
Sanu still with the perfect passer rating over 6 passes in his career now.
lol at Brady trying to run that down.
Browns punter got laid out on that return.
That's a stunning catch by Robby Anderson.
The chiefs are absolute shit right now. What happened to tyreek hill and Kareem hunt tearing up the league?
Only one to pick the Bills.
Eat a dick lads.
Tyrod was destined to win after they benched him last week.
This Seahawks game is brilliant already. The wind is going to ruin both teams.
Russell Lolson.
Shit's going down in Oakland :D
Talib is smart, he's protected.
Crabtree is even sorrier as a fighter than a receiver.
Good job you're not running things.
I meant smart as in he pulled off Crabtree's helmet and kept his on.
Kamara :wub:
OROTY.
That pick :D
What a jammy thing that is to break the streak.
Had a mate round so missed most of the early games, but he left just in time for me to see Kamara :hail:
What a comedy interception that was from the Raiders. Only way they'll get them, probably.
How the fuck is Joe Flacco the 'winningest' QB in the first 6 seasons of their career?
EDIT: Amari actually catching a ball & scoring against the Broncos :drool:
Harbaugh, Rice and Lewis/Reed/the whole fucking defence pretty much.
Only missed the playoffs once in his first 6 years and he's actually pretty good in the playoffs.
Edit: Record doesn't count playoff games apparently.
He's also got the most in the first 7 years with 72 wins too.
We're not going to be able to stop this Rams offence today.
Gabbert :cool: Tearing up the mighty Jags with the help of the equally monstrous Ricky Seals-Jones.
Just seen Julio's numbers :D Feeling pretty good for 5 pick'em points on that one.
The Bucs are hot garbage. They might give the Raiders a game for the biggest flop of the season.
EDIT: I've also just seen Hunt's numbers :moop:
Kamara isn't normal.
He should have been tackled about 5 times on that run.
RIP Amari :(
Can we talk about Chandler Jones for a second? He's got something like 11 or 12 sacks now, and I don't think I've heard anyone say a single word about him all season.
He & Everson Griffen are probably the two most underrated pass rushers in the league.
Lynch looking much as you'd expect a QB who's only been chucked in because the coaching staff don't know what else to do would look.
Do the Raiders have a pick yet?
They do, a proper jam factory effort too.
Got damn it Broncos. I wanted the full season.
We were all too nice on Paxton.
Did the graphic really call him Trevor Sienian?
I'm not sure why but it made me lol.
Kamara is so good to watch.
It must be hard not having all the plays being 'Just give it to Alvin'.
Edit: Siemian on the other hand :sick: Not sure what anyone has ever seen in him, he seems to overthrow every fucking throw.
Edit: Less than a fucking minute after I say that and he pulls out a great throw.
Calais :cool:
PJ Williams :cool:
lol at Watkins.
Blaine Train :drool:
What a hero.
I think we can take Arizona off the list of teams who’ll need a QB next year :drool:
Not checked yet but I’m pretty sure I’ve murdered the pick’em this week.
I watched Jim Kelly's A Football Life the other day and it's easily the most emotional one after Gleason's.
His Hall of Fame speech got me. The whole thing about his son must have been so crushing.
10th anniversary of Sean Taylor's death so lets have some gifs:
Campanaro is a healthy inactive tonight :cab:
I really don't see what is with that at all, unless he got caught with Harbaugh's daughter.
He's our main punt/kick returner and he can catch the ball unlike Perriman. We also design plays for him with screens and even rushes at times so it takes a dimension away.
Webb returning kicks is shit too, he's plodding and will just do enough each and every time with no chance of something big happening.
Bennett has been placed on IR and Talib and Crabtree have been suspended for 2 games.
Also, \0/. Flacco still shit but Suggs is a don.
The Blaine Train has no brakes.
:drool:
Siemian's the starter again. Mon the off-season.
Should trade a first rounder for Gabbert. He's better than the mass of turds you've got now.
I'm better than their current options.
Eli Manning is being benched.
R.I.P the starting streak.
Benched for Geno is such a great way to end a career.
I don't get the whole 'Ben McAdoo wants to see what Geno has', the answer is nothing as he showcased for the Green side.
Why not start Davis Webb if you want to see what someone has?
They're officially tanking :D
Gotta feel a bit bad for Eli, but he's definitely done now. Speaking of which Run DMC has retired following his release.
I'm a little surprised by that, surely one team would pay him.
If Eli truly is "the better brother" he'll react to the benching by winning the Super Bowl. Somehow I doubt it.
Sounds like he almost cried when asked about it, so probably not.
I did.
@Pleb - 13pts
@Gray Fox - 14pts
@Sir Andy Mahowry - 18pts
@Browning & @Limoutsonik - 19pts
Me - 30pts
I had 19pts just from positional picks & the GotW, thanks to nailing both parts of that, as well as picking the #1 QB, WR & TE. Special shout outs to Mahow for the lone wolf pick of the Bills, and I decided to give Pleb a point for picking the #1 RB, Alvin Kamara, even though he had him as a WR :D Oh, and thanks Paxton Lynch for ruining another round of player prediction.
I'll get the week 13 contest up shortly. Not decided on the player for this week, but I have a few in mind. Think GotW is pretty obvious though...
EDIT: Jimmy G, AJ Green, Hundley, Fournette or the Vikings DST for the player pick?
Fournette, for me.
Or Justin Tucker.
Pretty nice bunch of games to finish off the fantasy regular season. Lots of tasty games with big playoff implications, particularly in the NFC, as well as some good divisional games, but in the end one game stands out above the rest...
Game of the Week: Eagles v Seahawks. Over/under 57.5pts.
Redskins v Cowboys
Saints v Panthers
Steelers v Bengals
Colts v Jaguars
Falcons v Vikings
Browns v Chargers
49ers v Bears
Giants v Raiders
Rams v Cardinals
Patriots v Bills
Broncos v Dolphins
Chiefs v Jets
Ravens v Lions
Packers v Buccaneers
Texans v Titans
#1 QB:
#1 RB:
#1 WR:
#1 TE:
#1 DST:
Leonard Fournette will score:
Plus a SUPER SPECIAL BONUS QUESTION!!!
Toggle Spoiler
Genuinely thought we'd have a Tucker based question :(
I got so excited.
:D
I'll put him in there before the end of the season, I promise.
I’m going to have to think long and hard about best RB and DST.
Famous Jameis is back so you've got a nailed on for #1 QB.
GAME OF THE WEEK: Eagles v Seahawks. Over/under 57.5pts - Finally a Sunday Night Football match we can actually sink our teeth into. Get the rubber shite out of the way before giving us the big guns. Wentz loves throwing the ball to his tight end Zach Ertz. Wilson needs a big game. This has playoff bullshit implications written all over it. This is practically a coin toss. Let's hope the Falcons fuck up against the Vikings Seattle. Seahawks schedule after this match: Sacksonville (A), Rams (H), Cowboys (A) and Cardinals (H). The Playoff alarm bells are ringing Seattle. This is MUST WIN!!!
(Thursday Night) Redskins v Cowboys - The Cowboys are now officially garbage. Kirk Cousins likes this pick.
Saints v Panthers - Last week's mishap was just a hiccup. Cam Newton is garbage in my books. The Panthers could easily take this if Lattimore isn't completely broken.
Colts v Jaguars - Garbage. Don't look now but Sacksonville might have a legit claim of being a decent playoff side #justjinxedit
Falcons v Vikings - I believe in Thielen. Julio Jones will probably be on a rampage now that I've made this pick.
Browns v Chargers - This is all kinds of nope. Never back the Browns. Will only give you heartache.
49ers v Bears - :roflol:
Giants v Raiders - Well this is an easy win for Oakland. May give them a slight chance of making the wildcards if other results go for them #donttakemywordforit
Rams v Cardinals - The Rams are on a surge. This might get messy.
Patriots v Bills - Prepare for post/offseason Bills. This doesn't help your cause.
Broncos v Dolphins - Garbage.
Chiefs v Jets - :|
Ravens v Lions - Nope.
Packers v Buccaneers - Garbage. Wait it's against the Packers? Might have a chance then.
Texans v Titans - Garbage.
(Monday Night) Steelers v Bengals - I have no words. Does this win give the Steelers at least a playoff bye week?
#1 QB: Russell Wilson
#1 RB: Leonard Fournette
#1 WR: Julio Jones
#1 TE: Zach Ertz
#1 DST: Whoever is playing the 49ers...I mean Chicago Bears.
Leonard Fournette will score: 20 points.
Game of the Week: Eagles v Seahawks. Over/under 57.5pts. As a Hawks fan it pains me but the Eagles are going to steamroll us to the ground. Eagles win it under 57.5 points though.
Redskins v Cowboys= 'Skins cause as senile Skip Bayless says,they miss Sean Lee,Zeke so their team has imploded.
Saints v Panthers= Saints with a bounce back win after the Rams loss
Steelers v Bengals= Steelers. 'Nuff said.
Colts v Jaguars= Jags win and Fournette goes off.
Falcons v Vikings= Glass-Case of emotions Keenum wins again. Vikes due to their defense being better than the Falcons one.
Browns v Chargers= Rivers is going to have a field day here. Bolts.
49ers v Bears= Jordan Howard makes a triumphant return and runs rampant over the last placed run D in the league. Bears win.
Giants v Raiders= Raiders by a hair.
Rams v Cardinals= Gurley continues his hot streak. Rams
Patriots v Bills= Better clench up Bills.... Pats win by a country mile.
Broncos v Dolphins= What am absolute shitshow of a game this will be. Dolphins win?!
Chiefs v Jets= Chiefs players have stacked my fantasy teams and have failed me for 5 weeks straight.This continues,plus Robby Anderson is staking his claim for a Top-5 wideout consideration so Jets win.
Ravens v Lions= Can Flacco be at least a competent QB so that the defense can go to work?We shall see but i am backing the Ravens here.
Packers v Buccaneers= Buccs are an absolute mess and Hundley has rapport with D.Adams so Packers win.
Texans v Titans= Tits win partly because Tom Savage is crap and Mariota has weapons to play with.
Or was I making a statement by saying he'll score 0 points?
I wasn't, I did forget :(
I'll go for 9 points.
Game of the Week: Eagles v Seahawks. Over/under 57.5pts.- Eagles, Over
Redskins v Cowboys- Redskins
Saints v Panthers- Sains
Steelers v Bengals- Steelers
Colts v Jaguars- Jaguars
Falcons v Vikings- Falcons
Giants v Raiders- Raiders
Rams v Cardinals- Rams
Leonard Fournette will score: 6 points
Geno won't finish the game.
David Webb is getting snaps, so I've heard, so that answers the bonus question. I wasn't scoring it anyway, but it'll be interesting to see just how bad Webb is given they aren't even playing him ahead of Geno when they need to know what he can do.
Even Nathan Peterman got the start...
Game of the Week: Eagles v Seahawks. Over/under 57.5pts. - This should be a cracking game, but I think the Eagles have the edge on both sides of the ball. Their offence benefits from going against the Seahawks without the LOB, while the Eagles' defence should cause havoc, although it might come down to whether they can actually tackle Russell Wilson once they insta-beat the shitty Seattle O-Line. An Eagles win would be great for the Saints too, so that's also a factor :D
Redskins v Cowboys - You've got to expect Dallas will be better than they have been the last few weeks, but I still think the Redskins will edge it.
Saints v Panthers - I've said it a lot, the Panthers are good, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed we're better. Think this is a Brees game too.
Steelers v Bengals - This will be close & fiery like always, but Pittsburgh just have enough to take it.
Colts v Jaguars - This probably won't be close. Jags DST to dominate as usual/
Falcons v Vikings - Another close game, but I'm hoping the Vikings do us a favour & come away with the win.
Browns v Chargers - Back to the formula!
49ers v Bears - I actually think Chicago will win, but there's potential either way so I'm taking the gamble.
Giants v Raiders - What an awful looking game :D Raiders might even get another pick this week!
Rams v Cardinals - Sorry Blaine.
Patriots v Bills - The formula v2 looks to be just as bulletproof as v1.
Broncos v Dolphins - Is this a worse game than Oakland/NYG? It certainly pushes it close. Miami to nick it in a game filled with shit QB play & short drives.
Chiefs v Jets - This is like my CHI/SF pick. Surely KC can't stay this shit? Maybe they'll even let Kareem play this week :yn:.
Ravens v Lions - If Stafford sits this will change, otherwise the Ravens offence will let their defence down.
Packers v Buccaneers - Hundley & Adams keep Rodgers interested, while Jamies does Jameis stuff.
Texans v Titans - Mariota's comeback game after some proper shite the last two weeks.
#1 QB: Marcus Mariota
#1 RB: Jordan Howard
#1 WR: Davante Adams
#1 TE: Jared Cook
#1 DST: Lions
Leonard Fournette will score: 13pts
Game of the Week: Eagles v Seahawks. Over/under 57.5pts. Seahawks and Under. We've not really been tested against a top QB yet and Wilson is on fire.
Redskins v Cowboys - Redskins add to the misery though, Dak will have a much better game
Saints v Panthers - Saints
Steelers v Bengals - Always a spicy game, Steelers take it again
Colts v Jaguars - Colts. They have nothing to lose and Jags are inexperienced nearing the play-offs
Falcons v Vikings - Vikings. The Lions may have poked holes in the defence, but Vikings are the better overall team here.
Browns v Chargers - Chargers
49ers v Bears - Bears. Very underrated defence, though it'll be a lot closer with Jimmy G playing.
Giants v Raiders - Raiders in an all out shitfest
Rams v Cardinals - Divisional game, Cards to spring an upset
Patriots v Bills - Pats all day
Broncos v Dolphins - Shitfest continues. Dolphins win.
Chiefs v Jets - Chiefs stop the rot
Ravens v Lions - Lions to take, unless Flacco starts playing well suddenly.
Packers v Buccaneers - Bucs have nothing to play for but the Cheeseheads do have the slightest chance. Green Bay
Texans v Titans - Hardest one to call for me. Titans.
#1 QB: Brady
#1 RB: Melvin Gordon
#1 WR: Michael Thomas
#1 TE: Gronky Kong
#1 DST: Chargers
I’ve just realised that three of my picks for #1 player at their position are on Pleb’s fantasy team & another is on Mahow’s :moop:
You can see why I’m not confident of keeping my bye. Really need Rivers & the Eagles DST to have big games this week.
Only one to get the Thursday game right, I like these little victories that I pull off.
Just watching the redskins game. Holy fuck they basically just threw it away with mistakes. Fumbles, drops, tipped passes for interceptions.
Kirk is really missing DJ and Garçon.
Robbery.
That 4th down call late on was insane. Still not really sold on Sam Darnold, although he's probably a better version of what Carson Wentz looked like in college, so I should love him.
Ronald Jones though :cool: Not a fan of USC letting him wear 25 on offence & someone else wear it on defence, mind. Bryce Love looks good too - a bit of Lev Bell in the way he moves at the line sometimes, but he's got more speed.
Fuck sake, I'd have recorded that if I'd known about it.
Worse still, Live mother fucking HOCKEY is meaning college gameday is only on from 4-5. What the flying fuck kind of scheduling is that bullshit?
If I can't red button that shit I'll be raging.
There's a condensed version on YouTube (minus the first two minutes):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJJC7c4slec&t=0s
I've got all the games on record as usual, but I generally end up watching them there if they have them.
We've signed Alshon Jeffery on for another 4 years.
Hopefully some CB depth in the draft and I really like our unit for the next few years.
Man, UCF are fun to watch. I really like McKenzie Milton, and Shaquem Griffin is a great story. Hopefully Scott Frost stays until Milton's done, but it sounds like he's probably off to Nebraska.
This game has been great so far - 24pts in the first quarter & three or four huge plays, as you'd expect from the two highest scoring teams in college football.
I've opted for the Arsenal game instead, but goergia auburn at half 8 I'm all over. :drool:
If keryon Johnson is out or struggling, auburn might well struggle. The qb is good, but Johnson keeps the defence respectful.
That game's going to have to go some to outdo this one - another TD within 30 seconds of Q2 starting. 400 yards of total offence in the first quarter alone, and it ended with a 62 yard play with the clock at 0:00.
And another by the time we hit 13:00. Apparently Vegas had the over/under for this at 85pts, and they might end up being close - we're already at 38 :cab:
EDIT: Memphis have a player called Joey Magnifico :cool: Hopefully he's a wrestler and/or a magician in his spare time.
Now we've got a player ejected for targeting on the passer, when the passer was the RB & the throw got picked, but they guy fell out of bounds & got injured. Then the very next play was tipped & intercepted at the 3. Don't see that every week. It's 24-21 with 6mins left of the half.
UCF/Memphis update:
2:30 to go in the third quarter - UCF 45 - 34 Memphis. It's one of those college football games where defence is banned, which I normally hate, and yet I'm loving it.
Glad you went with the Arsenal game @Foe?
The Arsenal game was incredible. Got this on now. 89 points :cab:
However, there doesn't appear to be any defence whatsoever.
Nope, the fact the best defensive player on either side only has one hand should sum up how good the tackling has been :D Neither secondary has any idea what to do either. Think we're at about 1500 total yards at this point. It's madness.
That sort of shit is exactly why I have a soft spot for Texas Tech. Go long!
Again, it's hard to really judge an offensive player in a game like this, but Anthony Miller has a bit of Antonio Brown about him.
96pts with just over 4mins to play. Can we hit triple figures, or will a FG win it?
I turned it on to see the last TD.
Have there been any punts or even field goals?
UCF are gonna lose this at the death :(
Three combined punts, I think. Maybe two FGs each too.
lol at Memphis.
Fucking hell.
I think I might have a better chance than this kicker.
I was more edgy on that than in most Saints games :D
EDIT: McKenzie :face:
Who the fuck is he throwing too?
He's made literally about four bad throws the entire game, three of them ended up being INTs & the other was an underthrown pass that could've been a big play. Everything else has been Rosen-esque. Kind of fitting that after all those points it end up coming down to a missed FG, an INT then a sack all inside the last minute of the game to take it to overtime.
1399 combined yards, pissing hell.
Gotta love the smarts of the Memphis defender that just pushed Otis Anderson over when he was beaten :D Didn't end up making a difference, but at least it shows he understands situational football.
That's a brilliant catch by Miller.
If he's not unable to go back in then UCF should surely win.
lol, UCF \0/.
That was a cracking game. I might buy a McKenzie Milton jersey :D
Also good to see Baker 'Dickgrab' Mayfield & Oklahoma stomping TCU to get themselves all but assured of a spot in the final four.
Antonio Brown questionable for MNF. My entire fantasy team has collapsed in the last month.
A week late, the bastard (in real life).
I'm trying to work out how the CFP committee will work bama in.
Oklahoma are in, the winner of auburn/Georgia are in.
The winner of Clemson v Miami should be in.
That means a Wisconsin loss to Ohio State is required and it'd be a conversation between bama, Ohio state, the loser of auburn/Georgia, clemson/Miami and USC?
Gets interesting if Georgia beats auburn here, given auburn stomped bama but would have 3 losses.
I don't think they can, other than just to put them in because they're Alabama.
As you say, Oklahoma are in along with the winner of the ACC, and probably the winner of this game, even if it's Georgia. If Wisconsin win then they have to be there too, and if Ohio State win I don't see how you can say Alabama have a better case than them.
I'm sure they'll find a way to shoehorn them in though, since they seem to be treated like the collegeball lovechild of the Patriots & the Cowboys.
Just looking back at bama season and the only teams of note they bear are LSU, Texas A&M and Miss St. I'm not sure pumping guff like Vanderbilt, Tennessee, ole miss and cupcakes tells you anything because if I was Ohio state / Miami / Clemson / wisonsin / USC / auburn / Georgia I'd be saying that I'd be doing the exact same thing.
Penn state being an independent really fucks them over. They're out the conversation after the regular season.
Well this one's over, I should think. Jake Fromm v Baker in the championship game please.
Perriman back on the inactive list after having 0 catches on Monday :drool:
Hopefully he doesn't make it back onto the pitch in a Ravens jersey.
Campanaro offers so much more than him as does Chris Moore.
First round wideout no less to.
At least laquan treadwell can point to diggs and thielen as quality wrs keeping him out the team. Perriman doesn't have that luxury, he's just way off the pace. A bit like Kevin White at the bears (has he even made it into the field yet?)
Yes but he's been fucked by injuries (3 years in the league and he's gone on IR in all 3), Perriman just can't catch then his confidence goes down and his hands get worse.
He's being outperformed by every WR, he's lucky that Adeboyejo got injured as he was stunning in pre-season. Perriman offers nothing right now, even when some screens were called to get him the ball so he could run he was dropping them.
Any bets today?
Bet 1: Titans, Raiders, Jags -9.5, Steelers, Packers, Jets, Chargers -13.5
Bet 2: Titans, Raiders, Steelers, Keenan allen TD, Alvin Kamara TD, Jordy Nelson TD.
Kelce :drool:
Greg Jennings sounds like he's only learned to speak in the last year.
Get Peterman in.
Nortman > Bortles.
Jags have loved a fake punt this year, it's a wonder that no one is covering the underneath just in case.
Kelce is a don.
Anyone notice the CFP?
1. Clemson
2.Oklahoma
3. Georgia
4. Alabama
Bullshit. No way Bama deserved to be in there. They fell apart when they played the only quality team all season. The PAC 12 is screwed by having a pretty equally strong Stanford, USC, Cal and UCLA. Unless one runs the table, they're not getting in.
Only me, those small victories again :)
They'll always find a place for Alabama. They're better than all those other teams anyway. Even Wisconsin are better than those west coast powderpuffs.
Penn State should join a conference and might get in too :harold:
Davante Adams will end up getting a good wedge this offseason. Close to being a tier 2 receiver now.
Brady chimping out :harold:
Siemian is balling.
1/4 for 0 yards and 1 pick.
He's a very solid backup I'd say. Hadn't realised the broncos were quite as bad as 3&8. Reckon big John will fall in love with one of the QBs and give up on Paxton?
For all the people getting the road, Elway should have been head of the queue.
If he has any sense, yes. Lynch is horrible.
Mosley injured :(
Flacco :drool:
Another Manning to Denver maybe?
Siemian is turgid.
Patrick Ricard with his first TD :cool:
Undrafted rookie DT who we converted to a FB.
Fat white hero.
There's the Mariota rushing TD I predicted.
Cohen :cab:
a 61 yard TD return that saw him run about 100 yards in reality.
I saw something when TB scored saying 'Jameis is back!'
Yup, he sure is :D Another one where he tries to throw it while being tackled & utterly shits himself.
Matt Judon is going to be the next Suggs.
Alex Smith rushing for more yards on one carry than Kareem will all game.
Jimmy Smith is out of the game :(
He's struggled all year with an Achilles injury (yet he's been lights out, only Hopkins has made him look normal) and it seems like it's popped now.
That belly on revis... the island must've had a good harvest.
Nelson is so past it now. They should have paid Adams months ago.
Fuck.
We're going to lose this.
Even though Flacco has been great today we should have run it more to start this second half, we've given them the ball back too quickly this half and our defence is hurting without Smith.
The state of Cutler not even trying to make a tackle there.
Hundley is back to being Hundley again anyway. I'd chuck Callahan in at this stage.
Nathan Pickterman in the game :drool:
Alex Collins is a beast.
Stafford is just throwing to whoever is against Humphrey right now and finding a lot.
He's done well this year when coming in and out but really struggling being out there constantly with Smith injured.
Denver are absolutely diabolical after that good start to the season. So many problems to fix, though I dunno how many of those are coaching-related given even the defense looks rank.
Alex Smith is going through the Jets like they're not there.
Receivers are just running past with no resistance and the deep ball is there every time.
The Bears :harold:
Losing due to 5 field goals from their ex kicker.
Stafford's plan to keep attacking Humphrey has ended in tears.
Second pick of his career for the rookie.
Weddle :cool:
Our defence is gold.
Ravens D is awesome. Just a shame Flacco is their QB.
He's played well today though.
Highest yardage total of the season, joint highest TD's thrown and no picks.
Does well in playoffs though so if we get there hopefully he turns up.
Marcus Peters :D
He just lobbed a flag into the stands.
Marcus Peters just imploded :D
Texans on 4th down have had 3 false start penalties in a row for the same fucking player :D
Kamara getting the start over Ingram and featuring heavily on this first drive.
He's got a better chance than Ingram at first team all-pro right now.
He's so damn hard to take down.
The game of horrendous interceptions.
Josh Gordon is looking a lot better than I thought.
A solid QB in the draft and pick up a WR, you could well be looking at a team who can win 4 or 5 next season.
Are we (the Jets) still shite?
Keenan Allen has 33 catches for 438 yards and 4 TD's in his last 3 games.
That's some effort.
Looking at the Eagles schedule, last night was the first good side they faced since the Chiefs beat them. Must be the most over rated team at the moment. Anyone could have that record if they faced the likes of the Giants and Niners every week.
We've become good at beating the teams that we should beat. Next step is to compete with the best.
I'm glad for this reality check now, rather than cruising into the play-offs and coming unstuck. Like Dallas last year. From watching the first half, we seemed to struggle with what we've been doing to other teams. We just could not get to Wilson. It's one thing getting about their O-line but the man is possibly the most illusive QB in the league.
Next week will show us what we need to see. Away to the Rams. Their QB will be easier to get at, so we'll see.
Well, this week went about as well as it could’ve for us. Another Vikings/Saints double next week would be fantastic, and if the Eagles & Rams can find a way to tie their game that would probably be the best result imaginable for us.
There goes McAdoo, to the shock of no one.
Jerry Reese too. Peyton to take over please :drool:
Inevitable but strange timing.
Let him continue to tank so you get a nice draft pick.
Spags might be able to win 1 or 2.
1 game for Gronkowski.
Really shouldn't work that way, suspensions shouldn't count when he's injured.
Some of his own medicine for Burfict :drool:
https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...%2F682%2F&_rdr
JuJu is now my favourite non-Eagle just for that hit.
Yeah, fully deserved after all the shit Burfict has pulled.
Knew it would take a Steeler to do something like that to him though.
Pick'em results time, and for the second week in a row the winner nailed multiple positional picks.
@Sir Andy Mahowry - 27pts
Me - 21pts
@Pleb - 20pts
@Limoutsonik - 19pts
@Gray Fox - 16pts
@Browning - 12pts
'how coming through with the double on Kelce & Kamara, as well as getting the lone wolf pick on Dallas. I came second mainly by getting Fournette almost spot on, although I also lone wolfed the 49ers. Pleb & Gray Fox were the only ones to get both parts of the Eagles/Seahawks game right, although Limoutsonik did get the over/under. Browning also played.
I don't need to know which teams are going to win in order to destroy everyone in the fantasy league.
As we head towards the playoffs there are some very significant games this week, with both teams from last week's GotW having games worth considering again this week. In the end, though, I've gone for the Mahow special.
:drool:
Game of the Week: Ravens v Steelers. Over/under 39.5pts. Could we be witnessing the triumphant return of play off Joe?Jury is still out plus Steelers have more potent offensive weapons.Over 39,5 points and a Steeler win.
Eagles v Rams=Now that's interesting.After an insipid performance against my Hawks,i don't think the Eagles are that invincible. I am gonna go against the grain and say Rams win.
Seahawks v Jaguars=Another interesting matchup,mainly because the Jags haven't faced the most elusive QB in the game.Bortles to have a shitter so Hawks win.
Saints v Falcons=Falcons might be picking steam but Saints aren't missing a beat behind Kamara. Saints win.
Vikings v Panthers=Keenum keeps his hot streak and Newton throws another fit.'Vikes.
Raiders v Chiefs=Chiefs only because Raiders cannot force any turnovers.
Broncos v Jets=Josh McCown for MVP. Jets easy.
Patriots v Dolphins=Blowout. Pats win.
Buccaneers v Lions=Lions bounce back,Jamies eats another L.
49ers v Texans=Garoppolo is Jesus? 49ers win.
Bengals v Bears=3rd times is the charm,Jordan Howard returns to form. Bears.
Colts v Bills=T.Y Hilton to post #1 stats. Colts win.
Giants v Cowboys= Cowgirls win.
Packers v Browns=Packers win even though Josh Gordon might go off.
GAME OF THE WEEK: Ravens v Steelers. Over/under 39.5pts - A Sunday Night shitefest. This can only go one way. Flacco will probably have a meltdown knowing him.
(Thursday Night) Saints v Falcons - This is going to get messy. Brace yourselves Dan I'm backing your team again #shockhorror
Eagles v Rams - Coin toss.
Seahawks v Jaguars - Rape.
Vikings v Panthers - Fuck you Cam Newton.
Raiders v Chiefs - The fuckup continues.
Broncos v Jets - This one is proper filthy.
Buccaneers v Lions - Garbage.
49ers v Texans - Next.
Bengals v Bears - Garbage.
Colts v Bills - This can only end in tears.
Giants v Cowboys - The Giants are proper dead now surely?
Packers v Browns - You know something is completely wrong when your backing a garbage team such as the Browns have been this season. Garbage.
Titans v Cardinals - Woof.
Chargers v Redskins - Kirk Cousins doesn't like this pick. Protential blowout.
(Monday Night) Patriots v Dolphins - Don't bother turning up Miami. Rape.
JUSTIN TUCKER will score: 8 points
And this week's novelty bonus question...Ejections/injuries/fines resulting from the Ravens/Steelers game. Over/under 2.5? - Bodies will be everywhere. Expect it to be about roughly 5-7 players.
Sashi's gone, Hue's staying.
Here come the Manning boys :drool:
Game of the Week: Ravens v Steelers. Over/under 39.5pts. - I think this will be another low scoring, fiery affair, but I'm pretty sure I set this 5pts too low :D Gonna take a shot at the under anyway, despite it being a 24-17 type game in my head.
Eagles v Rams - This should be good, and there's the obvious WENTZ V GOFF narrative to chuck in too, but I fancy the Eagles DEF to make the difference.
Seahawks v Jaguars - That Jags DEF should tear holes in the Seattle O-Line, and even Russell can't dodge four guys at once, surely?
Saints v Falcons - Julio should do well against our gammy CBs, but much like the Carolina game I think we have just enough to edge it.
Vikings v Panthers - Minnesota might well be the #1 seed in the NFC by the end of the season. They should dominate Cam.
Raiders v Chiefs - Fuck I don't know, they're both trash. Chiefs have more weapons I guess, but this could be ugly.
Broncos v Jets- A few weeks ago I said Oakland was quietly the worst team in the league. Right division, wrong team. Denver are somehow even worse.
Patriots v Dolphins - Of course.
Buccaneers v Lions - If Stafford plays I'll change my pick, but for now we'll let Jameis eat.
49ers v Texans - I want the Niners to win, but I have a hunch Houston will show up this week.
Bengals v Bears - Should be low scoring, but the Cincy DEF will shut down Chicago. Please unleash Gio.
Colts v Bills - This deserves to be played in an empty stadium with no cameras. I might go Bills if Tyrod plays, but we'll see.
Giants v Cowboys - Giant to continue their ultimate clusterfuck of a season by winning their way to a worse draft pick.
Packers v Browns - Didn't I say I wasn't going to make this mistake again?
Titans v Cardinals - Blaine Train boys :cool:
Chargers v Redskins - Remember when the Chargers were going to finish last in the AFC West? They might be the only decent team in that division now.
#1 QB: Tom Brady - Everyone's allowed a few Brady picks a season.
#1 RB: LeSean McCoy - I had to make myself not pick a Saints guy, but it's a shitty week for RBs. Shady might be Buffalo's whole offence though...
#1 WR: DeAndre Hopkins - I just fancy him to go mental this week.
#1 TE: Jack Doyle - Indy only have two competent receivers, and when he's going well he gets peppered with the ball, so why not?
#1 DST: Bengals - Not many great options, but Chicago could easily end up in single digits.
JUSTIN TUCKER will score: 17pts - I had the Ravens scoring around 17pts. Three Tucker FGs (one from over 50) & one TD gives them 16 & him 17, so that's good enough for me.
And this week's novelty bonus question...Ejections/injuries/fines resulting from the Ravens/Steelers game. Over/under 2.5? There's almost always a dodgy hit somewhere & that's when it all kicks off. We're also overdue for some injured Ravens, so watch out Alex Collins.
---
Still need picks from @Sir Andy Mahowry, @Browning & @Gray Fox from the regulars, even if it's only TNF for now.
Nevermind, 'how posted his while i was typing :D
Game of the Week: Ravens v Steelers. Over/under 39.5pts - :eyemouth: Doesn't help that Jimmy 'Antonio Brown is in his pocket' Smith is out but I think our pass rush is going to have a BIG game as will Collins. I'm expecting a 20-17 affair or something similar.
Eagles v Rams - I keep changing my mind over this one but I think the Rams will have just enough.
Seahawks v Jaguars - This is the type of game that people will hype Sacksonville a lot over only for them to narrowly lose. Russ is playing lights out this year and will escape the sacks.
Saints v Falcons - Alvin Kamara will have a field day.
Vikings v Panthers - Panthers just don't have enough on either side to stop the Vikings.
Raiders v Chiefs - I want to say the Raiders but I think the Chiefs will finally get out of the slump in a HUGE divisional game.
Broncos v Jets - Chimpman is one of, if not the worst the QB in the league. They'll get rolled over by the Jets.
Patriots v Dolphins - Patriots near the end of season against the Dolphins? Stick your house on it
Buccaneers v Lions - Stafford will win it.
49ers v Texans - Clowney is going to go out hard and Savage will try to lose it but Hopkins will catch enough.
Bengals v Bears - The Bengals are a bad team but they've beaten all the shit that has come in front of them.
Colts v Bills - I feel like they're going to lean on Shady a lot.
Giants v Cowboys - Brother Eli wont have any fun trying to start THE STREAK back up. Dak will finally be able to find some joy in a game without 'Zeke.
Packers v Browns - Jamal Williams will win the game for them.
Titans v Cardinals - I have a feeling that the Cardinals will manage to squeeze out a win.
Chargers v Redskins - I feel that the Chargers aren't as good as people are starting to believe and feel that the pressure will make them crack.
#1 QB: Brady
#1 RB: Kamara
#1 WR: Hopkins
#1 TE: Kelce
#1 DST: Jets
JUSTIN TUCKER will score: 11 points
And this week's novelty bonus question...Ejections/injuries/fines resulting from the Ravens/Steelers game. Over/under 2.5? No ejections but I'm expecting a few injuries.
I'm disgusted with your Tucker projection, to be honest. I was expecting at least 20pts.
I wanted to give him more but I feel that's the way the game will go.
2 PATs and a 50 yarder and 40 yarder.
That's 10pts, is it not? Or have I not noticed that we do 4pts for 40 yarders all season? :D
10 yard carry on a fake kick is also worth considering, I guess.
In our fantasy league it's 4 for 40 yarders, that's what I'm basing it from.
Anyway, all you lot are fools for not picking us. We have the AFC defensive player of the (last) week in Eric Weddle and there's also this:
https://i.imgur.com/9RhCWsL.gif
Saints tonight I guess. Could easily be wrong.
Thoughts on the Falcons game Dan?
I just want you boys to twat them.
I genuinely hadn't realised it was 4pts for a 40 yarder :D I should probably add an extra point to my Tucker projection, but I'm already way above everyone else so I'll leave it where it is.
I think it'll be a game with lots of yards, but not as many points as you'd expect. Julio should have a decent game, with potential for some real danger if Lattimore sits,, and I'd expect both Freeman & Coleman to do okay, but I don't feel like we're going to get destroyed by their offence. I'm thinking 6 catches, 70 yards for Julio, and roughly the same amount of rushing yards for Freeman. Coleman will probably be lower, but has the potential to break one for a big chuck if he keeps going up against our linebackers. Hooper's got the feel of a 2 catches for 8 yards & a TD type game, and Matt Ryan will probably end up around where he usually has this season - 280 yards, 2:1 kinda stuff.
On the other side I think Brees will end up with similar numbers to Ryan, with Michael Thomas having the same type of game he's had all year - a quiet 7 catches, 70 yards type of stat line. Ingram sounds like he's going to play, which is great because I don't think Alvin would be as good if he had to be the featured back. It's a nice matchup for him, but I would imagine the Falcons make the effort to try to take him away a bit, so while I reckon he'll still make plays I'm not sure he'll have the kind of insane numbers he's been putting up lately. I kinda fancy this to be an Ingram game if he's fit enough, but if he's playing a lesser role I'd expect us to throw a bit more rather than give Alvin 20 carries.
Andrus Peat being out might take a little bit of the upside away, but Senio Kelemete has been playing well when he's had to step in. We're fucked if anyone else goes out on the line though, as our depth beyond Kelemete is shite, and if it comes down to kickers I fancy Bryant over Will Lutz, although I think they could both see a lot of use.
I've got it down as a 30-24 game, although I do kind of fancy it to come down to a field goal.
Game of the Week: Ravens v Steelers. Over/under 39.5pts. Steelers in a tough defensive game. Only just too. The Ravens missed the play-offs last year by an Antonio Brown arm length so I expect them to bring A game. However Big Ben > Flacco. I'll go for under.
Eagles v Rams - Rams to take this I feel. We've had an easy schedule til now. If we can get to Goff I could maybe see it changing, but the Rams are no mugs.
Seahawks v Jaguars - Hawks to win. Jags offence is stuttering and the best QB in the league is coming to town. Letting him have the ball a lot is a big problem.
Saints v Falcons - Falcons. Saints offence is better and they are much more enjoyable to watch and root for, but the Falcons have the better defence.
Vikings v Panthers - Vikings. Cam Newton is not a top QB.
Raiders v Chiefs - This is surely the Chiefs chance to click back into gear. Chiefs.
Broncos v Jets - Jets. The QB merry-go-around is becoming a joke for Denver.
Patriots v Dolphins - Pats by about 30.
Buccaneers v Lions - Famous Jamies has been nothing short of awful all year. I wouldn't be shocked to see them draft another QB(though more likely in 2019). Lions take this if Stafford plays.
49ers v Texans - 49ers. I like Jimmy G and have this as my sneaky upset of the week.
Bengals v Bears - Bengals. They have the slimmest of hopes left, while Chicago just need to find the right groove for their QB going into next year.
Colts v Bills - This matchup has pain all over it for everyone. I'll go Bills but, ouch.
Giants v Cowboys - Eli returns victorious. Giants.
Packers v Browns - Browns. The hype train of Rodgers returning derails with one loss. I think they take their eye off the ball.
Titans v Cardinals - Titans win to keep moving to the play-offs.
Chargers v Redskins - Chargers. They are on a roll now.
#1 QB: Brady
#1 RB: Lev Bell
#1 WR: Josh Gordon
#1 TE: Engram
#1 DST: Patriots
JUSTIN TUCKER will score: 9 points
And this week's novelty bonus question...Ejections/injuries/fines resulting from the Ravens/Steelers game. Over/under 2.5. Under. Ravens play right side of the line, unlike the Bengals who are dirty as fuck.
Well shit :moop:
Losing isn’t too bad as long as we win the return game, but losing Alvin could be a problem. At least we’ve got lots of time before the next game, I guess.
It's a shame the game ended the way it did. Brees with probably his only bad throw of the night. Then bad luck not recovering the late fumble and then the penalty on the bench compounds it all.
Good #1 RB pick mate :moop:
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...seys-first-day
John Dorsey has cut Kenny Britt on his first day which is a great move. Fuck knows why they gave him a 4 year, $32.5m contract.
He only managed over 1000 yards (barely) in one season.
Late to the party but just watching the steelers bengals game. Shazier injury looked nasty. He's a bit of a monster though and seems to have been tackling like that for years. Hope he recovers (and by that I mean not paralysed would be a good start) but did not look good.
He had to have spinal stabilisation surgery, I have no idea what it is but it sounds horrible.
Sounds to me like he'll be lucky if he walks properly again.
Anyone watched Last Chance U on Netlix? I've just blitzed both seasons in the last week or so & it's great, although it's changing schools for the next season so it'll be interesting to see how that affects the show.
Series 1 was way better than series 2 and it'll be so much worse without the shameful lustage of the schools player help lady.
The coach was a total dick too, and the QB coach left to go to Florida Atlantic (I think) with Lane Kiffin.
Brittany's the real star of the show, everything else is just context for how amazing she is. Her relationship with Ronald in particular shone through the first series.
De'Andre Johnson & Dakota Allen come across amazingly as guys who've done something awful in their past but have been able to come through it & grow into great role models. On the other side, Isaiah Wright & his brother were arrested recently in connection with a fatal stabbing. Kam, meanwhile, is the least likeable person in the whole series for me - he just comes across as a lazy, disrespectful, arrogant, entitled cunt for most of the series.
Dakota Allen smashed it at Texas Tech again this year and got into the AP All Big 12 second team. He's only a junior too, so could return next year too.
Chauncey Rivers was academically ineligible at Miss State this year too, so he might well have fucked his chances there as they apparently loaded up on Juco Players last year.
Nathan Peterman is back!
Pickterman :drool:
Colts DST start of the week :nodd:
Game of the Week: Ravens v Steelers. Over/under 39.5pts.- Steelers, Over
Eagles v Rams- Rams, the Eagles only beat shit and the Rams are not shit.
Seahawks v Jaguars- Seahawks, if the Cards can beat them this won't be hard.
Saints v Falcons- Already picked Saints....
Vikings v Panthers- Vikings. Fuck the Panthers.
Raiders v Chiefs- Raiders, the Chiefs will conspire to find a way to lose yet again.
Broncos v Jets- Jets, in a real shit match.
Patriots v Dolphins- Patriots
Buccaneers v Lions- Lions
49ers v Texans- Ugh... another Broncos/Jets. Texans.
Bengals v Bears- Bengals
Colts v Bills- Another match between 2 horrible teams. Colts.
Giants v Cowboys- Cowboys.
Packers v Browns- Packers
Titans v Cardinals- Titans
Chargers v Redskins- Tough one here. One more shit week from Cousins before he leads me through the Fantasy Play Offs. Chargers win.
#1 QB: Tom Brady
#1 RB: Todd Gurley
#1 WR: Michael Crabtree
#1 TE: Kelce
#1 DST: Jaguars
JUSTIN TUCKER will score: Who cares? Ravens aren't fantay relevant. 12 Points.
And this week's novelty bonus question...Ejections/injuries/fines resulting from the Ravens/Steelers game. Over/under 2.5?- Over if we're counting injuries, of course. It's the Ravens, they'll have 3 injuries by the time the 2nd play is run.
Sounds like Stafford will play so I'm changing my pick to the Lions. I'm also changing my QB pick to Alex Smith since five of us have picked Tom Brady :D
:drool:
Colts are wearing white too :D
That game is somehow going to be even shitter than first thought.
It might be a 0-0.
It's just snow.
What sort of coverage was that by Cleveland? :D
That's a quality catch by Gordon.
0-0 with less than 100 combined yards, get your money on it.
Dr. Z will be loving that Buffalo game if he's still of sound enough mind to do so.
Kareem getting in the endzone :cab:
I've just seen the Buffalo game :D That's fucking stupid.
The weirdest part of it for me is they made Indy play in white.
Just saw the miss field goal in the Bills game :D
what in the actual fuck.
That Colts punt :D
Josh Gordon is still absolutely great.
Kizer is ripping the Packers apart.
11/12, 133 yards and 2 TDs.
Seen this coming a mile off. The defense have been playing like it's preseason for weeks.
Hopefully this will mean Rodgers sits until 2018 now.
How has Shady already got just shy of 100 yards in that?
Fucking hell, what a man.
Hopkins has to be in the conversation for top 5 WR in the league at the moment.
Julio and AB are just a step above but have great QBs but Hopkins is right up there. He's been quality with a miss mash of shite QBs. He was lighting it up with deshaun though, so hopefully those two click next year and show how elite this guy is.
Because bad fields don't inhibit the run game - it's actually easier for the offence when the game slows, easier to make cuts and set blocks up than it is to react to them when footing is poor.
He is still however an absolute monster, easily the best RB in the league right now
There are bad fields and there is this which is more snow than field.
Colts call a timeout and some coaches come out to clear snow :D
Curled it in :cool:
Looked like he had hooked that wide.
That was sensational.
Why didn't they run it at least one more time to try and get a bit closer?
Packers have wasted so much time.
I feel sorry for those facing Jordan Howard and Williams this week.
Kizer is so bad.
Only fitting that McCoy ended it.
What a juggling catch by Robby Anderson.
Fuck sake Minnestoa :moop: We're in a proper battle for the NFC South now. My picks this week have been shite, I think.
Typical Jets to shit the bed playing the worst team in the league as well.
Is that the first ever redzone INT from Mariota, or did I miss that?
EDIT: Holy shit Cincy, was to get bodied by the Bears :D
Poor bastard getting such a great punt return but gets taken out just short.
Man, it's been a bad year for the top two picks of the 2015 draft. Remember the start of the season when we all thought Winston was going to lead the Bucs to the playoffs & Mariota had a shot to take the Titans to an AFC South title?
Mariota could still do it but they'll be limping over the line if they do.
Wow that's huge with Wentz being knocked out.
Is there anyone that can catch them in the NFC East, or are they just going to lose their bye week if he's out longer than today?
Perriman is officially done :drool:
Seahawks are such a snidey dickhead team.
Victory formation and they get a player ejected in two keel downs.
Lol at the Seahawks player seething at the fans.
Shit, he ran at the fans and tried to climb the stand after a drink was lobbed at him.
Seems a bit late to get all fired up when the other team are kneeling out the game.
Not that that excuses his behavior,what would you do if that happened to you?Would you keep your calm?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cTZsqxPVHo
That's how it could have ended up.
He'll be suspended for the rest of the season I'd imagine and the fans who threw drinks should be banned for life.
Seems Wentz injured his ACL and is done for the rest of the year.
Eagles are in the playoffs but I can't see them doing anything with Foles at the helm.
FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCKKKKKKKKK KKKKKKK.
Hopefully it's just a sprain or slight tear. Us winning with the Rams obviously losing, puts us 2 games clear in bye territory, with 3 to play. If we can win one of @ Giants, vs Raiders, vs Cowboys, we'll seal it due to our record over the Rams and Panthers. Only team that can realistically hurt us is New Orleans.
Unless we lose all 3 obviously. But should we seal the bye week Wentz has 5 weeks before his next game.
1 point? :(
Wentz has torn it, so there goes his season and with it the Eagles hopes of a playoff run
Leaves the NFC to the Seahawks then really, though you couldn't rule out any of whoever makes it out of the South too I suppose.
Our brief stint in the play-offs will be nice. #SignKaepernick
Shit, now i have to play Jameis in my dynasty league :moop:
Properly sucks though, as he's been amazing. He could probably still get MVP, although realistically it's got to be Wilson's at this point for carrying probably the worst Seahawks team I can remember almost entirely on his own.
If it's down to quality of play, even with Wentz healthy I'd have given it to Wilson.
We might be passable without Wentz, but without Wilson the Hawks would be staring down a top 5 pick.
It should go to Andrew Luck, by virtue of the fact they're complete shite without him.
Manning should have got it the year he sat too.
Rodgers. Absolute steaming shite without him.
I look forward to Tom Brady winning it again, personally.
Yep. Should just be called 'best QB from a successful team'.
Wilson does deserve it this year as he's pretty much their entire attack. I think halfway through the last game the commentator said Wilson accounts for 82% of their total offensive yardage which is the highest in about 50 years.
Watt probably deserved to take it a couple of years ago tbh when he was also going out and catching TD's.
Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown are also unlucky not to have one or two between them.
Wilson, Wentz, Brown, Hopkins, Brady would probably be my top five, with Alvin Kamara & Shady also being worth considering off the top of my head.
Not sure why the Pats are taking him on.
He's piss poor and a locker room cancer.
Probably going to average 200 yards a game now that he's on the Pats though.
Well that answers the question if McCarthy is dumb enough to play him.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...rt-vs-panthers
This was, without any question, the worst week we've had in Pick'em :D A few big predictions made the difference though...
@Gray Fox - 23pts
@Sir Andy Mahowry - 20pts
@Limoutsonik - 19pts
@Pleb - 18pts
@Browning - 17pts
Me - 15pts
In a shameful week for picks, not a single one of us managed to get above 50% out of a full 16 game slate - Limoutsonik had 8 correct winners, GF & I had 7, Mahow & Pleb had 6, while Browning had 5. In the end it came down to the Ravens/Steelers game, with GF getting Tucker's score exactly correct & correctly calling Lev Bell as #1 RB to deny Mahow, despite 'how getting a full 5pts for his Nuke prediction.
Fingers crossed we're not that shit again this week.
We're almost at the end of the regular season now, but there's still time for things to get stirred up. It's not a particularly good slate of games this week, but there are a few interesting matchup, and it's headlined by a cracker.
Game of the Week: Patriots v Steelers. Over/under 57.5pts.
Packers v Panthers
Seahawks v Rams
Vikings v Bengals
Ravens v Browns
Saints v Jets
Falcons v Bucs (Monday)
49ers v Titans
And the BONUS QUESTION! Is anyone not directly affiliated with the Colts or Broncos actually going to watch TNF?
Fuck you Gray.
And he calls himself a Justin Tucker fan!
Game of the Week: Patriots v Steelers. Over/under 57.5pts. I'd say over because Steelers offense is firing on all cylinders versus Pats' leake DEF and because of fucking Brady. I am going to go out on a limb and say Steelers win.
Packers v Panthers=Aaron Godgers returns but i don't think it's enough.Panthers win.
Seahawks v Rams= I hate myself for even thinking this but Rams win.
Vikings v Bengals= Vikes win and their RBs have a field day
Ravens v Browns= Ravens win although not that easy as you would think.
Saints v Jets=Poor Jets,had McCown been healthy they would have had a shot.Kamara returns too so perhaps a blowout is in the cards.Saints.
Falcons v Bucs (Monday)=Falcons.Next.
49ers v Titans= Garoppolo aka Tom Brady version 2 wins his 3rd straight.
Texans v Jaguars=Oh boy this is going to be fuckin ugly.Jagz win though.
Dolphins v Bills=A toss up.Bil...Dolphins win!
Bears v Lions (Saturday)=Lions and Stafford throws for over 350 yards.
Chargers v Chiefs (Saturday)=MVP like performance from Rivers to possibly shut the division down for the Chargers.
Colts v Broncos (Thursday)=JESUS H CHRIST this match will suck.Broncos D devours the Colts.Broncos win.
Cardinals v Redskins=Redskins win.Next.
Eagles v Giants=Can Foles reproduce his form from his 27-2?I reckon playing half as good as then will do the job so Eagles win.
Cowboys v Raiders=2nd straight for the Cowboys and Skip Bayless wanks himself to death.
#1 QB:Rivers
#1 RB:Kenyan Drake
#1 WR:Antonio Brown
#1 TE:Gronkowski
#1 DST:Saints
Nick Foles will score:17 points
And the BONUS QUESTION! Is anyone not directly affiliated with the Colts or Broncos actually going to watch TNF? OF COURSE NOT
Game of the Week: Patriots v Steelers. Over/under 57.5pts. - I feel that Brady will be firing on all cylinders with Gronk back and having lost. Steelers defence is poor and will be exposed.
Packers v Panthers - Aaron Bodgers (and Badger) will come back playing the hero
Seahawks v Rams - Seattle needs a win and I think Wilson will show why he's the MVP this year
Vikings v Bengals - Bengals are just too shit
Ravens v Browns - Collins and our Defence will stomp the fuck out of them
Saints v Jets - Kamara is going to go bonkers
Falcons v Bucs (Monday) - I think the Bucs will do surprisingly well but just wont have enough
49ers v Titans - The Jimmy G train is going to be derailed
Texans v Jaguars - Sacksonville is going to feast
Dolphins v Bills - Think the Dolphins D are due a big game and the Bills have nothing bar Shady right now
Bears v Lions (Saturday) - Stafford takes it
Chargers v Chiefs (Saturday) - Big call here but the Chiefs know they have to win and they finally remembered last week that Kareem still lives
Colts v Broncos (Thursday) - I can see Marlon Mack having a breakout performance
Cardinals v Redskins - I really don't rate the 'Skins at all this year
Eagles v Giants - It will be a bit more competitive with Foles under centre but still an easy win
Cowboys v Raiders - Still fighting for a wild card spot (which they'll just miss out on) will see them take it
#1 QB: Brady
#1 RB: Kamara (in the event he's inactive, my pick will be Alex Collins)
#1 WR: Hopkins again
#1 TE: Gronk
#1 DST: Ravens
Nick Foles will score: 15 points
And the BONUS QUESTION! Is anyone not directly affiliated with the Colts or Broncos actually going to watch TNF?
GAME OF THE WEEK: Patriots v Steelers. Over/under 57.5pts. - Nice, a top of a conference shootout, don't bother turning up Pittsburgh, you already have a first round bye, let the Patriots shit themselves silly.
(Thursday Night) Colts v Broncos - Fucking garbage and I'm picking the fucking Colts to take it :moop:
(Saturday Night) Bears v Lions - Garbage.
(Saturday Night) Chargers v Chiefs - Merely interested in this shitefest but the Chiefs are on a bit of a slump I believe so this pick is proper flithy.
Packers v Panthers - Rodgers is back, get fucked Newton.
Seahawks v Rams - Coin toss.
Vikings v Bengals - Woof.
Ravens v Browns - That was dirty.
Saints v Jets - Dan :handbags:
49ers v Titans - Garbage.
Texans v Jaguars - Oh boy you can tell this is christmas.
Dolphins v Bills - Get fucked Dolphins.
Cardinals v Redskins - Kirk Cousins likes this pick.
Eagles v Giants - Lame.
Cowboys v Raiders - The shitfest continues, is Elliott back yet?
(Monday Night) Falcons v Bucs - The Bucs are thinking "Oh shit.", I'm thinking garbage.
#1 QB: Kirk Cousins
#1 RB: Kareem Hunt
#1 WR: Julio Jones
#1 TE: Zach Ertz
#1 DST: Green Bay Packers
Nick Foles will score: Fuck all...there I said it...None, 0!!
And the BONUS QUESTION! Is anyone not directly affiliated with the Colts or Broncos actually going to watch TNF? I ask you the same question, did anyone watch Thursday Night Football?
Game of the Week: Patriots v Steelers. Over/under 57.5pts. These sorts of games never end up being an insanely high scoring as we expect, so I'm fancying it to just scrape under the line, with the Patriots taking it by a score. Either way we'll more than likely get a rematch of this game in a few weeks, you'd imagine.
Packers v Panthers - I really want to be wrong on this one, but I've been scared of Carolina all season so why stop now?
Seahawks v Rams - Even the Jags could barely hold off Wilson, so I'm not convinced the Rams will be able to slow him down enough.
Vikings v Bengals - Minnesota don't get slapped like last week very often. I'm expecting them to shut the Bengals down.
Ravens v Browns - I can't keep wasting picks on you Cleveland.
Saints v Jets - PLEASE DON'T FUCK THIS UP.
Falcons v Bucs (Monday) - I'd really appreciate good Jamies/Evans/Brate showing up this week, but I doubt it. Maybe they'll cover Julio this time though.
49ers v Titans - The Titans are in a slump, and the Niners are on the rise. These things will both still be true next week.
Texans v Jaguars - If I'm TJ Yates I'm hoping Tom Savage plays so I don't have to get the shit kicked out of me by every Jag on the field.
Dolphins v Bills - If Tyrod plays I'll have the Bills nicking it, but I'm expecting the run to dominate on both sides. The real Jay Cutler will play this week too.
Bears v Lions (Saturday) - This screams Jordan Howard to me. The Lions are shite against the run & the Bears DEF can keep them in it.
Chargers v Chiefs (Saturday) - The Chiefs go back to being a mess. Will anyone stop Keenan Allen again this season?
Colts v Broncos (Thursday) - :vomit:
Cardinals v Redskins - The Redskins are basically all dead, but they've still got just enough to nick this one despite Chandler Jones running wild.
Eagles v Giants - I fancy the Giants to get up for this game, and I nearly picked them, but they're just really, really shit.
Cowboys v Raiders - Speaking of really, really shit, the Oakland Raiders everybody! Cowboys to cruise through this.
#1 QB: Russell Wilson - He's their whole offence, and he'll have to have a huge game for them to have any shot.
#1 RB: Jordan Howard - If it falls into place for him he could have a mental game.
#1 WR: Keenan Allen - Like I said, who's going to stop him?
#1 TE: Kyle Rudolph - I think it's going to be a shit week for TE's other than the big three, and yet I'm still picking Rudolph for some reason.
#1 DST: Minnesota They could have a huge bounceback game after a shock last week.
Nick Foles will score: 16pts He'll be fine, but they'll lean a bit more on the run, which will hold him back slightly.
And the BONUS QUESTION! Is anyone not directly affiliated with the Colts or Broncos actually going to watch TNF? :harold:
EDIT: TNF picks needed from @Gray Fox & @Browning still.
Wait, Saturday? What the fuck is that?
Christmas.
I know, it's weird. Pretty sure the college football bowl games start this week too, so that'll be annoying.
Just seen that Rudolph is likely to miss Sunday so I'm changing my TE pick to Kelce. I may review this again on Sunday though, as I'm still not sure what's happening with Ertz & Graham either.
The real winner tonight is the audience, does that count?
If not then.... Denver, purely because it's the better fantasy outcome for me. Probably.
The real winner tonight is the anti-TNF movement. This game is almost enough of a reason to scrap it on its own, nevermind all the injuries etc.
Game of the Week: Patriots v Steelers. Over/under 57.5pts. Under. Patriots.
Packers v Panthers - Panthers
Seahawks v Rams - Hawks
Vikings v Bengals - Vikings
Ravens v Browns - Ravens
Saints v Jets - Saints
Falcons v Bucs (Monday) - Falcons
49ers v Titans - 49ers
Texans v Jaguars - Jags
Dolphins v Bills - Dolphins
Bears v Lions (Saturday) - Lions
Chargers v Chiefs (Saturday) - Chargers
Colts v Broncos (Thursday) - Colts
Cardinals v Redskins - Cards
Eagles v Giants - Eagles
Cowboys v Raiders - Raiders
#1 QB: Rivers
#1 RB: Drake
#1 WR: Julio Jones
#1 TE: Doyle
#1 DST: Panthers
Nick Foles will score: 11.5 points
Osweiler running in TD's :drool:
Going to be an odd watching NFL on a saturday night.
Better than watching fucking Troy vs North Texas, though.
Half the Bucs already bad defence is out for the Falcons game. I'm confident in Julio. Coming to fuck me in my fantasy play offs.
Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought :D I wasn't sure what I was going to watch until I saw what the actual bowl games were today. Doesn't really get interesting until next week unless you fancy watching Lane Kiffin's FAU team or checking out potential first round WR Courtland Sutton of SMU in the mid-week games.
To be fair, Oregon v boise might not be terrible. Oregon have their new big boss man so they might actually turn up.
But yeah, a whole host of shit.
I hate Boise state and it is entirely down to their home field turf being blue. It's just so bad to try and watch as it's too bright. Hope the lose by double digits.
I've recorded that one, but in all honestly I probably won't end up watching it :D
These Lions colour rush uniforms are awful.
These Detroit uniforms are hideous.
I really don't know who's going to win the SB this year. Pittsburg struggled past the Browns in game 1 and yet might be the favourite.
I'd love to see Keenum get the vikings there. Mike zimmer is a very likeable coach.
The bengals 2013(?) coaching staff is rife as head coaches now. Marvin Lewis, jay gruden, mike zimmer, hue Jackson.
Patriots & Steelers are likely to be meeting again in the AFC Championship game, whereas in the NFC there are probably eight teams that could end up in the big game, so it's hard to make a guess at the minute, but I'd probably say Minnesota & Seattle are the favourites. Minnesota because they're just a really good, balanced team, and Seattle because they know how to do it & Wilson's playing insane.
I'd love to see the Jags spring an upset in the AFC though.
The problem with the jags is they still have bortles at the helm. All it takes is fournette to feel a bit gimpy before Blake decides to turn the ball over when he jumps into "go long" mode.
9 wins this year and I'd still be looking for a young qb to groom.
What a beastly catch from Mavin Jones :cool:
EDIT: LOL Theo Riddick.
Mister Biscuit :D
Picks updated.
Is that a Cowboys pick or a Raiders one? I'm not sure you're going to do well with your Foles prediction though :D
I never get individual player points right so I did that purely for lolz.
It was a Raiders pick @Dan.
I'm not feeling good about my Bears pick, but at least I ducked out of Howard at the last minute.
That was a literally perfect catch from Cohen.
I've done a quick tally on excel, this is what we got on the season for picks etc...
@Sir Andy Mahowry - 148
@Dan - 141
@Browning - 132
Me - 131
@Limoutsonik - 67
@Gray Fox - 66
Mahow and Dan fighting it out it seems.
Well, this game is done.
Didn't get a chance to watch it but just looking at the stats it's baffling.
46 pass attempts for Trubisky with only 10 rushing attempts for Howard.
I think I'd prefer that to be reversed if I was a Bears fan, have more chance of winning that way.
Chiefs finally putting together some offence and defence in the same game, Chargers coming up well short again when they face someone decent.
Chargers aren't done yet though, as I think they'll beat the jets and raiders and the Chiefs could still lose to the Dolphins next week, but in the end I think the Chiefs will beat the Broncos in week 17 leaving the Chargers to be the best 9-7 side in the AFC to miss out on a wildcard.
Either way neither of these teams are getting past the steelers or pats in the playoffs
Only one to pick the Chiefs :)
They gave Hunt a lot of touches(31) and they win the game. They must surely notice a pattern there.
Marvin Lewis leaving Cincy, apparently. Wonder what that means for Hue.
The Packers defence is still shit.
Wonder what it means for Dalton.
Yep, looks like the Vikings are back :drool:
If Dalton's being judged today that pick won't have helped him out.
EDIT: Mickey T :cool: Didn't think he got in but I won't argue.
Yep, that's what I thought. And Ingram scored before I could even complain about the fact he was obviously going to get Browning some easy points once that got overturned.
Kizer autocorrecting to loser on my phone is fitting.
He's 4-21 in his last 25 games.
Wentz must have been playing defense too.
In the current environment this is going to snowball like fuck.
https://www.si.com/jerry-richardson-...nt-racial-slur
Case keenum may well get franchise tagged and PAID if he's not careful.
If Kirk cousins is getting $20 mill, case keenum should be making that argument too. Minnesota could well tag him and trade him.
Blaine :moop:
TJ Yates :vomit:
I'm not sure the Redskins want to keep Cousins. Surely he'd have a deal in place a year and 3/4 since he was first tagged if so.
Also the fuck was that off the kick off from the Redskins?
Adams got absolutely blown up there.
How the fuck does a professional referee give that Carolina TD on a review? Not in a million years.
Brandon Williams with a TD :drool:
Bring back Hundley.
Rodgers is definitely not ready to be back. Hopefully they sit him now that the last two weeks are meaningless.
Who is that in the Aaron Rodgers disguise?
I think they should have let Williams do his stuff a bit more, it helped out Hundley so much.
Saints should only trust Thomas and Kamara.
Jesus, we're really trying our best to miss the playoffs :face:
From what they've shown on Red Zone the Saints have looked fucking garbage. If I didn't start their defense I would be hoping for a Jets win.
We started really well scoring on our first three drives, and we've been shit ever since.
EDIT: That's better. It's because I went & put my Brees jersey on :nodd:
See, Thomas or Kamara = win.
Fuck off mate.
Drag your toes ffs.
Is Mickey losing another TD? :cab:
EDIT: Fuck sake lad. Hopefully we'll still get some point from someone that's not Mark Ingram.
Yo Jarvis, calm the fuck down & catch a TD.
Brandon Coleman :lol:
Surely has to benched now.
Get Brandon Coleman off the field :mad:
We've given up two potential FGs because he's fumbled in the redzone. I like the guy & he's a good team player, but maybe he should just block the rest of the game.
The Panthers scare the shit out of me every week except the ones where we play them :D
Bridgewater :cool:
Teddy :)
Could have done it on a day where I wasn't starting Keenum, mind.
EDIT: LOL bench him.
Bridgewater to get injured again :drool:
0-1 0Yds. INT
Great stat line :D
Kizer needs to give up. He said he'd seen the low coming out of college. I think 0-16 is going to be a bigger low, pal.
So, do we reckon John Dorsey's impressed with Kizer so far?
Right, let's see how this one gets called back.
My boy Corey joining the jobber TD club :cool:
Cutler is ELITE.
Good ol' Jay :D
EDIT: Gimme that A-Rod magic :drool:
lol at McCaffrey.
All these successful onside kicks today. I like it.
Fuck sake, what a complete clusterfuck of fumbles today's been.
I would reverse it personally. I'm not sure he made a 'football move'.
Probably one of those that they say stands no matter the call on the field.
I love seeing those bullshit ad-lib lateral plays getting crushed :drool:
That was poor from Goff.
Man, it seems like Reuben Foster gets hurt every time he tackles someone.
Antonio No! :uhoh:
I should probably cancel the Mondays I've booked off work to stay up watching the playoffs games.
Brown has gone to the hospital.
They're taking the division and now they're after our injury title?
What a mental 2 minute warning this has been.
That didn't take long. The play that got them to the 10 was so bad from New England.
How can it matter if the ball moves when he hits the ground but AFTER it's broken the plane?
Some of these rules are absolute garbage.
Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooool.
Pittsburgh made a hash of managing that.
Behave yourself, the ball only moved when his elbow dug into the turf.
Either way that's not really what I'm arguing. The reception rules themselves are a convoluted nonsense.
The throw on the int was a state too, mind.
Had he been a bit further out, able to take a step before breaking the plane and then bobbling it after he hit the ground then it would have been good.
Going to the ground was part of his 'footballing move' and as such he had to keep possession of it when he hit the ground.
I'm not a fan of it but I understand it.
Robbie Gould :drool:
Brown has partially torn his calf and is out for the rest of the regular season.
Panthers are going UP FOR SALE at the end of the season.
That the Seahawks pretty much out of it now? This is all shaping up to be a walk to the Superbowl for those fucking Vikings :(
The NFC is pretty much decided, assuming the Falcons win tonight. The Lions, Seahawks and Cowboys are the only 8 win teams. Given that they can't replace a divisional champion, they are hunting the two wildcard entries. Currently that's the Falcons (assumed 9-7) and the Panthers(10-4). With 2 games left the Panthers are out of reach. Both Atlanta and Carolina hold a tie breaking win over the Lions, so Detroit can only catch Atlanta with 2 games remaining.
Seattle have also lost to Atlanta this season, so that leaves them needing to win both games (@ Dallas, vs Arizona) and hope Atlanta lose both (@ NO vs Carolina). The Cowboys are in the same boat as Seattle. They've also lost to Atlanta so need to win out(vs Seattle @ Philadelphia) and hope Atlanta lose both.
Was just looking at the standings there. The Saints at 10-4 is a massive surprise to me, I thought they were having a shit year.
If you’d only seen the first two weeks & the last three you’d been absolutely correct :D We absolutely have to step up & play against the Falcons next week, otherwise we’re probably going to end up in a three team, one week shootout for the NFC South title
Puff daddy is some dickhead.
Is it a serious offer? :D Steph Curry & Kap want in too. Probably the only way Kap gets another job, to be fair.
Diddy, Curry, Kap.
The dream team of owners.
I thought hiring Kaepernik as top of the agenda was quite funny.
Move over more black incumbent QB . . .
The idea that he can't even start for a team he/his mate owns is pretty lol.
Davis has been given two games, though he didn't mean it :lol:
Are you lot getting Game Pass blackouts yet? I notice the past few weeks they've tweeted about the Sky games being blacked out but they haven't actually been here.
Tampa having half a team for the Carolina game isn’t exactly the greatest thing ever. Doug Martin being a healthy inactive last night means he’s probably out the door in he offseason.
Expect them to take a RB in the first few rounds of the draft. Might be picking a bit early in R1 unless Saquon somehow slips past the Browns twice, but I like the idea of them doing the Chubb double with Bradley in R1 & Nick in R2.
As expected, Rodgers is gone back on IR.
Hunter Henry & Tom Savage too.
James Connor, Shane Ray, JR Sweezy & TJ Jones as well, but they're not as newsworthy.
Chris Boswell AFC Pro Bowl kicker.
An image of Mahow's gaff this morning:
http://mbsbears.com/teched/animation...s/image029.gif
I’ve never really followed the pro bowl but one look through the teams tells me it’s just “who is the most famous player”. Julio Jones and AJ Green amongst the WRs? Fuck off.
It’s shocking really. We’ll be having our own awards at the end of this week though, so we can do a proper job of it.
Jay Cutler for best QB. He did beat the Patriots, after all.
The return specialist is always lol as Matthew Slater is always picked. He's not even played in half the games this year and he's done nothing. It should have have been Chris Moore who has done so much but everyone who votes is clueless.
And I've just seen that Sam Koch was shunned too, lol.
What a shambles all round.
Jeff Fisher is eyeing up another coaching job for next season :drool:
Pick'em time, and this week it comes down to a couple of good predictions.
@Sir Andy Mahowry - 22pts
@Limoutsonik - 18pts
Me - 16pts
@Gray Fox - 13pts
@Pleb - 10pts
@Browning didn't do the full list this week, but assuming he picked Gurley, Jags & Rams as anticipated that would've been 7pts just from those & his Denver pick, so he probably would've had a shot. Ultimately though, Mahow comes through in the best way he could imagine - thanks to the Ravens DST. Both Mahow & Limoutsonik got 5pts for Gronk, but the 5pts for Baltimore ensured 'how leapfrogged his way to glory.
I'll probably do the week 16 pick'em later, and I might try to knock together an awards list at some point too.
Alrighty then, here we go for what will be the last pick'em of the season, and to mark the occasion I've completely ignored how the phrase 'Game of the Week' is meant to be interpreted!
Saints v Falcons - Falcons. Very close game like last time, but again the Falcons D is slightly better so I go for them.
Patriots v Bills - Pats take the winning streak 1 further
Chiefs v Dolphins - Dolphins in surprising upset
Broncos v Redskins - Redskins
Cardinals v Giants - Cards. Surely the Giants just want a better draft pick by now?
Apologies,that will be over 34.5 points my good sir.
Thank you muchly.
Working my way though the awards list & it's so long I'm going to have to break it up into two posts :D Expect the positional awards later tonight - hopefully before 9 as I want to watch Josh Allen in the Idaho Bowl tonight - and the rest at some point over the weekend.
:fun: The TTH NFL Awards! :fun:
That's right, today we will take a look back on the 2017 NFL season & cast our picks for the players & teams that rose stood out this year, both for good reasons and bad. We have a number of categories to vote in, so many in fact that I'm splitting this into two parts. Today will feature the positional awards, with the rest of the awards - including MVP & Rookie of the Year - coming in part two.
There will be a list of nominees for each category, however I will also accept submissions outside of those listed, so consider the lists more of a guideline than an exclusive list of who should be considered. If you feel Andrew Luck should be MVP then by all means vote for him, but he's not going to be on the shortlist.
I would like all votes to be submitted to me by PM in order to avoid having all the winners spoiled before the voting even closes, and I will set a provisional deadline for votes to be sent to me of NEW YEARS EVE, in order for the winners to be announced before the first set of wildcard games.
Now all the boring stuff is out the way, let's get to the awards!
Best Quarterback
We'll kick it off at QB, of course. It's the most important position in the game, and these guys all showed that they're among the best, putting in numerous impressive performances to help lead their teams towards the post-season. Nice and simple, vote for the quarterback who played the best this season.
Toggle Spoiler
Best Wide Receiver
It's not been a great year for WRs, and yet we still have a nice list of contenders for this one, featuring a good mix of perennial studs, comeback players & breakouts. As above, pick the guy who had the best season.
Toggle Spoiler
Best Running Back
We lost a few of the top guys this year, but fortunately there were plenty of guys ready to take their place, whether they were guys who stepped up & proved their doubters wrong, or guys who exploded onto the scene in their first year in the league. We've had some monster numbers put up at RB this season, and these guys were responsible for a lot of them. Here's the list of nominees. Pick one.
Toggle Spoiler
Best Tight End
Not a great year for TEs, with almost everyone falling into the quagmire of being good one week & terrible he next. On the bright side, the top guys that survived the year all performed fantastically, so we've ended up with a short but strong list. Pick your winner.
Toggle Spoiler
Best O-Line
We're hitting the positions nobody really pays attention to, so it's time to start clumping! It's hard to judge an offensive line properly, but sometimes you can just tell that the guys up front are playing well when you see how easy it is for everyone else around them. That's how it was with these lines this year. Vote for the best performing offensive line this season.
Toggle Spoiler
Best Front Seven
More clumping, this time on the defence. A good front seven can cause mayhem for an opponent, and that's certainly the case when you have talent likes these teams do. Whether it's a couple of monsters, a whole team of monsters or a whole team of guys just playing really fucking well, these teams proved to be an offensive co-ordinators worst nightmare. Vote for the best defensive line & linebacker group of the season
Toggle Spoiler
Best Secondary
Almost there now. This one was actually really hard to compile a list for, as it's hard to separate the performance of the secondary from that of the rest of the defence, but there were a few teams where the guys in the back showed that they have what it takes to shut opposing teams down & win their team some games. Pick the cornerback & safety group that performed best this season.
Toggle Spoiler
Best Kicker
Don't worry, I'm not doing punters! It's been a pretty good year for kickers, I'd say, with lots of guys winning their teams multiple games with great kicking performances. Here are the best of the bunch. SPOILER - both Roberto Aguayo & Younghoe Koo were unfortunately ineligible for the list. Pick the best of the rest.
Toggle Spoiler
Best Kick Returner
Out final positional award goes to the best kick and/or punt returner of the season. While we haven't had anyone go full Hester & break off a load of monster TDs, we have still had some strong performers establish themselves as legitimate threats in the return game this season. Vote for the player who best helped their team flip the field this year.
Toggle Spoiler
That'll do for now, but I'll be back before Christmas with part two of the TTH Awards, where we'll not only cover the big awards, but we'll also take aim at some of the biggest flops of the year, and cast an eye forward to next season.
Best QB:Quite a homer pick but it's undeniable that Russell Wilson is the whole Seattle offence.For that reason alone and the fact that without him,we would be a 5-6 win team at best,proves he is MVP worthy
Best WR:I will go against the grain and vote for Deandre Hopkins because in spite of the revolving doors of QBs in his career,he has been playing lights out year in year out and this year he is the best WR not named Antonio Brown.
Best RB:My vote is Kamara because despite a slow start in the first 3 weeks,he exploded into the scene with top tier pass catching ability and dazzling speed which i think transformed the Saints offence to a 2-headed monster.
Best TE:I will go Kelce on this partly because i think he is fun to watch,very consistent and can take over a game in a good day.
Best O-Line:Rams and they are second to none.Goff has centuries to throw the ball,Gurley is trucking people left and right and they rightfully have the best offence.
Best Front Seven:Sacksonville.'Nuff said.
Best Secondary:Sacksonville x2.'Nuff said.
Best Kicker:Apparently Zeuerlein's nickname is Legatron so judging solely on that,i have to vote for him.Plus,putting 10+ fantasy points with an injured back last week shows his grit.
So the Browns hopes of not finishing 0-16 are beating the bears in Chicago or hoping the steelers have a bye and decide to play backups (badly) at Heinz field.
Does not look good.
They're super fucked. On the bright side, Houston have been so shit that the Browns could end up with picks 1 & 3 in the draft this year :drool:
And waste them all.
It's great to see so many Eagles in lists like this after Chip Kelly.
I would say should we have a best Rookie category but it might be redundant.
It's in the next set. I was going to do OROTY & DROTY but there are really only two candidates for each so I've just done the overall ROTY award.
Probably not going to have time to do my full pick'em for this week today, but I'll be going with Baltimore & Minnesota, of course.
Best QB - I feel this can only go to two of the nominees. 4 of them have had one or two bad games this year, whilst Wentz and Wilson haven't really. Wentz has guided us to the play-offs but as we saw last week, it wasn't all him. He has some great help on the team.
I give it to Wilson. He quite simply is the Seattle offence. He has dragged a team that, bar Graham, is awful player-for-player, to play-off contention.
Best WR - This again can only really go to one of two. Antonio Brown deserves a mention as he's a first ballot HOF guy. However he's also on a team with a 2x Superbowl Winning QB. The two for my consideration are Thielen and Hopkins. And for me it's Hopkins. He's looked great under garbage backup QBs. Under Watson he looked even better. I expect he'll get paid big in the off season to keep him in Houston.
Best RB - I think it has to be Gurley. He's not had a single bad or slow game. He also hurts you in both the pass and rush game
Best TE - I have to pick one Eagle right? Probably our biggest receiving threat. Hasn't put up a mental game, but has been very consistent.
Best O-Line - Rams. They've given Gurley and Goff a great chance this year. They're in the play-offs for a reason and they've done it with relative ease. Show me another team that could go to Seattle and lead by 34 points at the half.
Best Front 7 - This is close between the Eagles and Jags. However the Eagles has been given much more freedom by the fact the team is usually up a score or two in most games. Easier to line up for a go at the QB then. The Jags haven't had the offence to blow teams away for the most part, so I go with them.
Best Secondary - Surprised not to see a Steelers mention here. But this has the be the Vikings. They have the ability to shut down WRs at will and they know it.
Best Kicker - Has to be Zuerlein. The amount of points he's put up himself is lol worthy. Gould has also been very good this season, but the Ram takes it for me.
Best Returner - The only one who sticks to mind was the mazy, back-on-himself return by Cohen. So I'll give it to him.
Doing well with sending them by PM so far :D
Should have been clearer, mate.
Reading was not always my strongest point...
Or maybe those were my fake winners!
Steelers have cut James Harrison. Would’ve thought they’d have at least waited until the end of the season, but then apparently he did only play five games this season so I guess they won’t miss him too much.
Jefferson with the blocked field goal :drool:
Have to be two of the most boring teams I've ever fucking seen. At least the Colts Broncos game last week had some decent flashes from Osweiler.
Weddle has had two easy picks and a third which was also fairly standard.
Fucked them all though :moop:
Would be an excuse to sack Thompson anyway.
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2...dgers-released
Game of the Week: Browns v Bears. Over/under 34.5pts. - Sorry Cleveland, you're done.
Seahawks v Cowboys - Both teams need this win badly, and I think Dallas are favourites, but you just can't write off Seattle as long as Wilson's on the field.
Eagles v Raiders - Should be nice an easy for Philly here.
Saints v Falcons - We have to win this game. Simple as.
Patriots v Bills - Mike Gillislee to score three 1yd TDs.
Panthers v Buccaneers - Please can we have good Jameis & bad Cam?
Chiefs v Dolphins - The Chiefs seem to have found their early season playbook again, so I think they'll take what could be a very entertaining game.
Broncos v Redskins - This is probably the under the radar worst game of the week. Redskins by a field goal.
Cardinals v Giants - I can't pick Arizona after they betrayed the Blaine Train
Texans v Steelers - This could be pretty scrappy, I think, but Lev Bell should carry Pittsburgh to victory
49ers v Jaguars - I'm rooting for the 49ers, but it's Jacksonville's game to lose.
Vikings v Packers - As mentioned, I had Minnesota to win. Fuck Case Keenum though - I saw his stats & thought Teddy had come in at half-time :panda:
Ravens v Colts - Again, this one was pretty clear. Should've stuck with Flacco after all.
Lions v Bengals - Both teams have potential to be really awful, so why not go with the team that has AJ Green?
Titans v Rams - This should be a typical Rams performance. The Titans will do well to keep it close.
Chargers v Jets - Beware the corpse of Antonio Gates.
#1 QB: Wilson - Just like every other week, it'll be on him to drag them to victory.
#1 RB: Gurley - I don't think I've picked him once yet this season, so let's fix that.
#1 WR: Evans - Jameis remembered he existed last week, and Mahow has him in the TTH final, so he's bound to run wild.
#1 TE: Olsen - Please Cam, I need this.
#1 DST: Rams - I was going to pick Minnesota here, but I forgot, so I'll take the Rams instead.
Ezekiel Elliott will score: 17pts - I think he'll get plenty of work, but he might get the odd series off if he's not properly in football condition.
Campanaro owes a lot of people a punch.
Apparently multiple teams complained that Green Bay put Aaron Rodgers back on IR, and the actual rule is that, if he didn’t suffer a new injury that would keep him out at least 6 weeks, they would have to release him when he’s healthy.
Somehow I can’t see that being enforced here, but if it was :drool:
Still not sure what is going on but I think I'm a Saints fan, now. Is that alright? I mostly like that Alvin Kamara bloke, he's dreamy.
Probably won't be able to watch any of the games today :(
Jets with an onside kick :drool:
Games today?
Yes. Full week I believe.
Alvin :wub:
No red zone? Bullshit.
I thought all the games were yesterday, happy days. The folks have Sky Sports Mix too.
Really hate when Rez Zone only seems to focus on games I don't care about. Feels like it's all the Panthers game and Rams.
Benjamin was fucking robbed there. The foot was still dragging. Same old cheating Patriots.
Apparently Denver did a fake field goal to punt earlier. Don't think I've seen that before.
I’m not watching as I’m on dodgy 3G but Gurley :cool:
Bucks giving the Panthers a game is nice too, but no doubt they’ll bottle it before twatting us next week.
That Titans onside kick was fucking amazing.
Told you they'd bottle it, the useless bunch of wankers. At least we've secured a playoff spot now though, so hopefully Atlanta will do us a favour & knock the Panthers off next week.
That dropped INT from San Fran :D
Another glorious week for the Broncos.
Seattle kicking the shit out of Dak Prescott so far.
That was the most pathetic flea flicker I've ever seen be completed :D
The Niners :alan:
Shame they immediately gave two back on the PAT though.
EDIT: That's surely not a fumble?
Just seen the Lattimore iNT.
We've had the butt fumble, now we have the butt pick :cool:
Suicide pass from Dak there. Impressive work to still manage to get a penalty for excessive celebration now they've relaxed the rules, but apparently jumping into a Salvation Army drum is enough to do it.
How dare he do something that raised $200,000 for charity last year.
Fuck the needy, that's money that could've gone to buying NFL merchandise.
I've actually been pretty impressed with Mike Davis from what I've seen today. He's got a bit of power, but he can wriggle as well. Seattle would probably be fine just rolling with him, Carson & maybe one of Rawls or McKissick.
EDIT: Jimmy G is unbeatable :drool:
Look at Jerrah :drool: :drool: :drool:
What the fuck is Scott Hanson wearing? :D
:fun: The TTH NFL Awards, Part Two! :fun:
It's Christmas, so here's my present to you all, more awards! Part one, featuring the positional awards for the season, can be found here, so now it's on to part two, where we'll go through the major awards, and a few that you won't see handed out at the real award ceremony.
I would like all votes to be submitted to me by PM in order to avoid having all the winners spoiled before the voting even closes, and I will set a provisional deadline for votes to be sent to me of NEW YEARS EVE, in order for the winners to be announced before the first set of wildcard games.
Offensive Player of the Year
We'll start with a couple of the major awards. The awards today have much larger shortlists than the first part, so there is a different voting procedure - PICK YOUR TOP THREE, IN ORDER. THE PLAYER WITH THE MOST VOTES WILL BE THE WINNER. IN THE EVENT OF A TIE, THE PLAYER WITH THE MOST FIRST PLACE VOTES WINS, AND SO ON.
Having already looked at the best players at their positions, it's now time for you to cast your votes for the offensive player who performed best this season regardless of position. As stated, Pick your top three.
Toggle Spoiler
Defensive Player of the Year
Fairly obvious what this one is, I would assume. Defensive players don't get the same amount of hype as the offensive guys, but there are still plenty of strong candidates to choose from. As above, choose your top three.
Breakout Player of the Year
Our next award is for the player who came out of nowhere to make a big impact on the league. It should be noted that this is for players already in the league prior to this season, meaning no rookies are eligible for this award. Once again, pick three.
Comeback Player of the Year
This award is for the player who came back from injury or poor performance last year to remind the world of their true talent. As you might expect, the shortlist for this award is nowhere near as lengthy as the others, but it's still packed with talent. Pick your winner. The one and only.
Toggle Spoiler
Old Guy of the Year
Time for a slightly less common award. Pick the old guy who proved they still have it.
Most Disappointing Player
Exactly what it says on the tin. Every year there are guys who start the season destined for greatness, only to end up with everyone wondering what happened to all that talent. This year is no different, with some big names making the list. Players who missed out through injury aren't included, so there's no David Johnson, but it was still pretty easy to draw up a hefty list of failures. Pick your top three.
Toggle Spoiler
Most Disappointing Team
Like the last award, but for entire teams, obviously. As you might expect, there aren't as many nominees here, so pick only the team you think flopped the hardest.
Overachieving Team of the Year
Like the last award, but the opposite, obviously. Pick the team you think most exceeded expectations this year.
Most Likely 2018 Breakout
We're going to look ahead to next season for a couple of categories, as I invite you all to make predictions that we can all laugh at next season when they're hilariously inaccurate. This isn't really an award, and as such there are no nominees, instead I'm just asking you to make your guess & I'll publish the TTH list when the award winners are revealed.
Take a look at the Breakout award for this season if you want to get an idea of the types of players that tend to fit the bill, then send me your 2018 breakout player.
Most Likely 2018 Bust
We predict the future again, this time as cynical bastards who don't believe the hype. Again, there are no nominees, so simply pick the player you think will be the biggest disappointment next season.
Rookie of the Year
The penultimate award, and it's time to dish out the big ones. There are always rookies who burst onto the scene & prove themselves to be impact players straight away, and this year is no different. On both sides of the ball there were rookies who came in & immediately improved their teams, but who was the best of the bunch? Vote for your top three.
Toggle Spoiler
Most Valuable Player
The big one. Out of every player in the league, who most demonstrated their importance to the success of their team this year? As previously mentioned,
players who missed the season through injury, such as Andrew Luck, haven't been included but can be nominated if you wish. This is the biggest list of the lot, but the rules are the same. Pick your top three most valuable players.
Steelers-Texans on Sports Action/Main Event now if you lot are bored.
Gave it a few minutes there. Houstons first drive doubled my tiredness.
i'm half watching it, fuck knows why
This is such a terrible Xmas present. A TJ Yates led offense and a defence which is more porous than Swiss cheese.
I just ate a huge packet of Burt Sea Salt crisps while drinking a JD and Coke watching this shitefest.
Merry Christmas lads. At least the Steelers get a first round bye now.
Two terrible throws in a row in the red zone. TJ Yates has no place starting in the NFL.
I was wrong about Keenum a couple of years ago. I don't think I'm wrong with Yates.
If it stands, that's a fucking world class catch.
That's fucking ridiculous.
He's really fucking good. He could probably have a 1000 yard season with us taking turns at QB.
When are the Wemberley games announced? I seen the Packers opponents for next year and the Rams are on the list.
Regarding that, can I buy a season ticket to just the Wembley games (will the Spurs games be next year, might go to those)?
I can't be fucked going to Twickenham but I loved the Wembley experience.
I think the answer is yes. When Twickenham was introduced we were offered first dibs on seats, but I don't think it was compulsory. If you do go to any other venues you get the same seat reserved for you in future years.
Games are normally announced well before now, so it's pissing me off we still know nothing.
Do you have to have an account on NFLUK.com to get tickets?
I'm fairly sure you can do it all through Ticketmaster, but my friend I go with sorted it all out so I'm not 100% sure.
Edit- He reckons he had to join NFL UK, so it's probably best to do that just to be sure. He also isn't sure if you can do just Wembley, maybe it was only offered because we had just Wembley previously and they can't exactly force us to go to a new venue. The website certainly suggests the tickets are for "all 4 games" but I do know the Twickenham deal is technically up so we may not have to go there again. It was for 3 games over 3 years but they did state it could be "1 game this year, then 2 games next year and then 0 games in year 3" which we are currently on for. Reports are they want to extend it, I'm hoping not.
Sounds like a whole setup where I wouldn't have a hope of getting them for the game if they were coming over.
I don't think anyone on here has ever struggled to get tickets for individual games, and I know people who have rocked up and bought one from the Stub Hub stands outside, though not sure what they charge. If you were looking for say 4 seats together you may struggle but getting 1-2 shouldn't be hard.
Yea, I reckon you'd be fine. It's worth signing up to get notification of exactly when they go on sale and just in case you need to be registered.
Yeah I'll do a password reminder thing in case I already have one.
Or would it be the same account as NFL Game Pass?
I don't believe it's the same, it's not recognising my details anyway, but Game Pass has been known to do that.
I had no problem buying my ticket for the Ravens game this year.
I logged on about 10 minutes after they opened and had my pick of seats (I went half way line in the 500 blocks which is the top tier, I want middle tier this year). There was also a load of touts there too anyway.
Isn't New White Hart Lane scheduled to be ready for an NFL game in 2018? Barring delays obviously.
I think we're due at least 5 games. 2 at Wembley, 2 at WHL and 1 at Twickenham.
As for tickets, you're absolutely fine buying on the day of sale so long as you aren't going in a big group. Even then breaking into two smaller groups is good.
I don't think WHL is going to be ready for 2018. Hopefully I'm wrong because it will be much better than Twickenham.
http://www.skysports.com/football/ne...o-games-a-year
Only possible date I can find is Sky suggesting the target date was in summer 2018. If it's on time it'd be good to host a late October/November game or two.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...playing-in-cfl
Johnny Football could be going to Canada to the team that used to employ Jeff Reinebold.
If he doesn't get back into the drugs/drink/battering women he'll probably do quite well with their rules, get signed by someone like the Bears after a season and do fuck all again.
Reinbold is gone back to the CFL too.
Davante Adams has been locked up for 4 years, $58m, $18m bonus.
Bucs are sticking with Dirk Koetter :drool:
Gruden will be gutted.
I don't think dirk is strict enough for jameis.
Pagano and John Fox are gonners on Monday.
We've just activated Sidney Jones from IR. For those who dont remember, he was the CB who was a projected 1st round pick and ranked 5th best Corner in the draft. He popped his Achilles in his pro day and has been recovering since. We nabbed him in the 2nd round with the expectation being he missed this season.
Hopefully he can come in and deliver on the hype. We'll really need him in the play-offs if we want any chance of winning a game.
I attempted to record the USC v Ohio State game last night and I've spent all day watching it in the background. I say all day, what I've discovered is that for some reason ESPN decide to hit 'recycle' numerous times through the recording. I seem to have about 3 recordings of the 3rd quarter back-to-back.
Not been a great game for Darnold to show off his stuff. USC special teams is also terrible, just absolutely woeful.
Yeah I remember that now. Non contact injury, just running a route and basically collapsed in a heap.
There's loads of bowl games on at the moment. Lamar and the Louisville mob lost to Miss. State (lol) and theres currently a Washington v penn state fracker right now. Miami v Wisconsin is on after too.
Saquan Barkley is faaaaaaast.
This is on today gents.
I of course back the redskins to beat the Giants. Well done Foe. Well. Done.
The browns are getting rolled here by Pittsburg backups. That must be demoralising.
Good to see the Browns getting pasted by the Steelers' backups.
EDIT: Foe :gay:
How does that fake catch on the punt keep working? :D
JuJu :cool:
He's had a pretty good first season, I think it's fair to say.
There's a video of him on youtube getting drafted and taking a boombox out onto the beach by his house and he and his family all just bail into the sea. :cool:
Destined for Canton.
Robby Anderson taking out Johnson Bademosi with the spike :D
Alvin :hail: Still don't think he's ever hit full sprint. Panthers going 3 & out after giving up a TD is good too.
Tyler Lockett with a return TD of his own at the same time as Kamara, although I wasn't paying attention when they showed that one.
Amari Cooper's going to have alright looking numbers at the end of the season, and they're all going to have come from about five catches :D
Marquise Goodwin just got destroyed, almost literally. They're probably going to have to scrap him off the floor & remind him what his name is. Y'know what, I'm not sure it was really an illegal hit either, despite ten thousand flags flying. Goodwin was pretty much squatting on the floor by the time Countess hit him, so it's hard to say he went high or anything. Might've launched himself though, I'd need to see another replay to make sure. Either way, Marquise Goodwin is going to the hospital.
Jameis :drool:
EDIT: Colts have fired Pagano, to the surprise of almost nobody. Not even Pagano himself. Meanwhile, Hugh Jackson is going to be coming back after he jumps in Lake Erie, and Bill O'Brien's chance to stay in Houston has gone up as GM Rick Smith is taking extended leave to be with his wife.
How you feeling at the moment @Sir Andy Mahowry?
EDIT: Jameis again :harold: He's such a Bortles.
Great catch in traffic from Sanu as well. Not sure you can say for sure that was on the turf, but no doubt it'll come back anyway.
Just turned it on to see Alex Collins score :drool:
What a run that was.
Typical Saints clusterfuck :face:
What time does the vote close btw?
I still do need to do my second votes.
Only need a win though.
More than enough time for our defence to win it even with Flacco monging it up.
Oh and Chris Moore really needs to be move involved in the passing game. He's actually a great catcher who has done so much on special teams this year.
Deserves more snaps than Maclin and Perriman for sure.
What a handoff :D
Mariota and Henry :harold:
'Mon Sacksonville.
lol at Kenyan Drake lobbing a Bills helmet away after a fight.
Miami may as well try to KO a few Bills on their way out this season. They've already potentially lost Shady, so they're fucked either way, but the more players they lose the funner it'll be when they get pasted in their first playoff appearance of the millennium.
Get fucked Cam :dance:
Get fucked Buffalo :drool:
lol at the Saints (not that it matters).
Well thank fuck the Falcons have stepped up today :D There's no fucking chance we beat either the Rams or the Vikings if we end up playing them. We need to get ourselves some D-Line & linebacker upgrades this offseason, and a receiver who can help us on third down would be nice too. A decent special teams unit would be fantastic as well, but that's asking for miracles or Kamara injuries.
Kevin Byard is a baller :cool:
Raiders have fired Jack Del Rio, which suggests that Jon Gruden is on his way.
My arse cheeks are proper clenched.
Chuck Clark is doing well on this drive.
:face:
Nooooo! :(
Literally the only thing Dalton has done all year.
Just lob it up to Quincy Adeboyejo or Chris Moore.
Only receivers I'd trust.
Fucking Buffalo :moop:
There's no way they're going to do anything in the playoffs, at least Baltimore might be able to give someone a decent game.
Please fire Marty fucking Mornhinweg and try to fuck Flacco off.
Flacco has been awful every time I've seen him for at least 2 years now.
How pathetic are the AFC playoffs? Bills & Titans have been awful & yet they get in. Both of them will surely get humped in the wildcard round - they've got to be the worst teams to make the playoffs in the last decade, even including the Raiders with Connor Cook & Houston with Hoyer throwing a billion picks.
Didn't the Ravens do exactly this last year? Lost their last game in the last 30 seconds thanks to Antonio Brown stretching an arm out.
Penultimate game, but yeah.
I'd also cut Dean Pees, he gets praise for the defence but with the talent we've got he's massively underperformed. We were weak as shit against the run and every time it actually mattered we were passed on far too easily.
A lot of fans will be calling for Harbaugh's head (and I think he might go) but I'd keep him as he has done a lot.
Your defensive side of the ball is fine. It's quite similar to the Eagles D last year. When playing with a decent lead the defence makes it look easy, but the offence kept putting the pressure on the defence to do work and that fails after time. We got the QB some weapons and suddenly the defence looks great without adding anything serious to it.
Saquon Barkley & Malik Jefferson have declared for the draft.
For those that don't watch college football that's the best overall player in the draft (possibly one of the best in the last decade) & one of the top 3-5 linebackers, so it'll be interesting to see where they end up going. I'd be amazed if Saquon makes it out of the top four picks (Browns at 4 seems like good call), but I think Jefferson has been touted anywhere from the first round to the third, so maybe he'll be relying more on his combine etc to keep his draft stock high. He's supposed to be one of the athletic freaks of the draft though, so I would imagine he'll be a mid-second round pick at worst.
Baltimore would do well to focus on offence in this draft - there's enough WR & TE depth for them to be able to pick up both in the mid-rounds if they want, and probably a RB if they decide they need one of those as well. Not sure what they'll do about QB, but there are guys like Luke Falk, Clayton Thorson & Riley Ferguson that could all come in as developmental guys if they want to go that way, otherwise they might do well to try to bring Tyrod back or nab Alex Smith for a few years while you coach someone up.
Barkley is interesting. Browns could well go back to AJ McCarron as I'm sure he's a FA this off season. The Giants and Colts could both use him. Giants really need to get a run game going and the Colts are still using a 34 year old as their primary back.
Gordon coming back helps them massively as we know he can be a stud. They chucked Britt so they should still have mass amounts of spare cap. They've clearly missed a trick on not grabbing Jimmy G and they look fucking stupid for passing on Goff and Wentz now. We know McCarron is a decent QB. Enough to pick up a win or two and much better than they have now. If I were them I'd take Barkley first and then pick up the best player available at pick 4, while signing McCarron. You cant let talent like Barkley slip(look what Zeke does for the Cowboys).
If Darnold & Rosen both stay then I can definitely see them going after McCarron/Smith/Tyrod/Cousins/anyone & taking Saquon #1 just to make sure they get him. I'm still not entirely convinced he's quite as good as the hype, but he's got something special & he could definitely help them out. If one of the two QBs comes out they should grab one & then take Barkley or Minkah Fitzpatrick depending on who's gone at #4.
Have they re-signed Gordon yet or is he up for grabs in the summer? I can definitely see someone trying to poach him, but you'd have to imagine Cleveland will match any offer to keep him given their cap room & desperation for any talent on offence.
No actually they haven't extended him yet. He's still on that Rookie contract he signed in 2012 I believe.
Also:
It's fine for the most part but it's susceptible to crumbling.
Pees is an awful co-ordinator.
The 4th and 12 to win the game for the Bengals was pretty typical fare under him.
Marty deserves to go because he keeps trying to hand everything to Joe and will call so many stupid TE screens (that fucking fourth down, expecting Ben Watson to get an extra 10 yards) and look away from the running game which is always what has helped Flacco with his strengths, the deep pass.
The Bills :cool:
The Ravens defense :lol:
.
Has mccarrons future been decided? I thought because he was inactive basically the entirety of his rookie season with a unable to participate designation he still had to see out another year before free agency? Did I miss the ruling on that?
Saquan is great, but if you're the Browns there's no way you can not take a QB at number 1, unless you do you diligence and discover that all 3 of Rosen, darnold, josh Allen + any others (baker mayfield etc) are worthy of a #1 pick and you're guaranteed one of them at 4.
If you don't have a decent OL I suspect Saquan will be a bit wasted.
The Bills :cool:
I don't think they've ruled on it yet. He is pursuing it, having filed a grievance about it on November 4th.
The future of Andrew Luck will also play a big role in the off season. There've been rumours about the Colts being willing to trade him. He's great but injury prone and now obviously takes a big chunk of salary cap. For a team wanting to win now, the Jags could do a lot worse, but I'm not sure on their cap space.
If they trade him away that'll be another QB going at pick #3.
Back to the NFL and the HC casualty list grows. Jim Caldwell joins Del Rio, McAdoo and Pagano in the job centre.
Pretty harsh on jim Caldwell that. He's definitely made the lions better in the short time I've watched. Win or bust league, though I suppose.
They didn't get play-offs after getting there last season. A tough GM would see that as regression. Even if they do play well most of the time.
Add John Fox to the list now too.
Fucking shit loads of College Football on today too.
College gameday right now (didn't realise it would be on) and then a variety of bowl games before the CFP kicking off 10pm (probably like a 10.30 or 11 kick).
Auburn vs UCF or South Carolina v Michigan at 5.30 on different BT Sport channels.
Dean Pees is out, 'retiring' :drool:
Now to get rid of Mornhinweg.
Glad the Chiefs have avoided the Ravens, would much rather match up with the the Titans
The Bills reward for making the play-offs for the first time in forever? Away at the Jags. Probably without Shady McCoy too. Good luck.
Bruce Arians has retired. Loads of jobs opening up this year - shame all the candidates are shit. Jeff Fisher might end up getting another shot after all :uhoh:
I'd seen reports Dom was gone before the game last night, is it official?
Larry :cry: Hopefully he'll hold on for another year, but it does make sense for them all to walk off into the sunset together.
Rose bowl on espn right now, channel 426.
Presume that's subscription.
Bt sport espn.
Baker just made that drive look really easy.
Should be able to stream it on yourube giggles I'd imagine.
Is the NFL offseason as filled with utter wank as the baseball one is?
Yep.
Draft, free agency, pre season.
All of which are talked about as if they're the next coming of the messiah. I fucking love it though.
Ah, I read that as postseason not offseason.
After realising most of the draft is luck, I ignore most of if these days and just see what the Packers rock up with in week 1. They don't really do the free agency end of things anyway so I can tune out for that too.
The baseball draft happens during the season (fuck knows why), so at least you lot have that relatively real thing to look at and not just absolute toss like 'Player X is sizing up 11 teams but favours *team he eventually goes nowhere near* every day for six months.
I think the idea in America is the work their way through baseball, basketball and American football seasons so they never have to actually pay that much attention to the off season of any of them, bar a passing glance.
Ted Thompson out now too.
Maybe I might have to keep an eye on free agency now after all.
Once the Superbowl finishes attention goes straight on the draft and free agency. Clubs have to choose if to let "player x" go or almost force them to stay one more year by franchise tagging them(if they use this the player must get paid the average that the top 5 guys of his position do across the league). Players usually do as it's usually a good pay day but we have seen a few reject this.
You have the scouting combine where all the hopefuls turn out at the end of February and do set workout drills whilst all 32 teams watch. Free agency opens in March and also each University will host a "pro day" for teams to come and get 1 on 1 time with prospective picks.
Then you get the draft in late April.
After that it's pretty much nothing until August.
Baker :(
It's all falling apart.
I didn't watch, but I always love when an anointed Messiah here falls on their face :drool:
Carson Palmer is officially done. Larry Fitz probably too.
If I was them it's Cousins or draft pick at QB. I'd take Cousins if he's cheap enough.
He played pretty well, to be fair - they scored more on their opening three drives than Georgia had been giving up all game on average.
If there’s anything we’ve learnt from this whole Redskins franchise tag saga it’s that Kirk Cousins doesn’t come cheap :D
They could be in for Mayfield if he makes it that far, actually. That or someone like Alex Smith & then Josh Allen to develop behind him for a year or two.
Yeah but Cousins options are suddenly a little limited. He doesn't have the guaranteed 49ers option he seemed to last year. Redskins are obviously iffy on him as it's been 2 years of being tagged now. Denver could do worse.
Rosen and Darnold have just declared for 2018 too. This first round is going to be interesting.
How much cap room do the Cardinals have? They’re not likely to have much choice at QB by the time they pick.
Jets, Jags & Bills could be options too, but I can’t really see Buffalo paying up for Cousins when they have Nathan Peterman already in the building.
Either way, surely there’s no way the Redskins just let him walk - it’s got to be a tag & trade situation if they decide to move on. Someone would pay up for him.
Packers have got the sacking buzz now.
Offensive coordinator Edgar Bennett and QB coach Alex van Pelt sacked last night to join the 3 defensive coaches and Ted Thompson already gone.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...oc-qbs-coaches
Probably going to end up cutting Jordy and/or Randall Cobb too. It’s a rebuilding year, by the look of it.
Denver seem to have taken the policy that the problems we have are down to the remaining Super Bowl 50 staff.
Marty Mornhinweg is staying :face:
Can't wait to see more TE screens 3 yards down the field on 3rd and 9.
Anyone read the Patriots Power Struggle article on ESPN?
I saw a meme page suggest that the other day, citing Brady being the driving force to get Jimmy G out to keep his job for a few years. I think Brady is a dick enough for it to be true.
Why does Brady need to politicking regarding sodding Garoppolo?
I know he's a bell-end but I don't see the need. It's his team until Bob Kraft says it isn't. Belichick is great and everything but it's amazing how much easier life can be when you have the better part of two decades of a best-quarterback-ever conversation guy under center.
But on the other hand, is he a ‘best QB ever’ type player without Bill Belichick? It’s hard to believe he would’ve done as well if he’d been drafted by the Bills.
Guerrero comes across as the real dickhead of the piece though.
Quarterbacks are the difference.
The Patriots had been good in the 90s but weren't much cop in Belichick's first season. Second season, first with Brady..... well, we know the script.
Wikipedia can tell you the stats for other examples. The 49ers were not very good and then Montana comes in and they're a great team. The Colts were up and down in the years prior to Manning and his first few and then became consistently good around him. The Cowboys had been pants for a few years before Aikman came in. Now when you look at the stats in detail there are a few where these Hall of Fame / multi-Super Bowl QBs came together with their head coaches at about the same time which makes sense as in a lot of cases it's a crap team who've cleared out and taken a decent draft pick to recover from being rubbish (Brady wasn't a high draft pick of course, which bucks the trend) but a lot of them when you look at it had good coaches (or guys who are now seen as good coaches) but it didn't work out.
I'm not trying to dismiss the importance of the head coach and nor am I saying you could plug A. N. Other with the Patriots in 2001 and they'd have gone on to do what they have since. And let's be honest, chance are there are guys who could have gone on to win a ring or two who didn't because they ended up with a coach who wasn't up to it or the team messed them about or whatever. But having that one guy at QB who you know is the guy just makes everything so much easier.
Look at Denver this year, as an example. Man-for-man , certainly on defense, the team doesn't look like it should have been shitting the bed as hard as it did so often through the season. The offensive line is absolute balls and has been for ages but it wasn't seen as such a big deal when Manning was there because even in that last year when his arm was gone his decision-making was still better than what we've had this year. Worse decisions, lead to turnovers and that heaps more pressure on a defense that is still trying to work out a way to get back to where it was after a few big personnel changes. After the center you've got one guy who has his hands on the ball for basically half the plays every game. When that guy isn't up to it there's only so much a coach can do when he's not surrounded by studs. If he's amazing then he can probably make up for some of his team-mates shortcomings.
If you asked me whether, using Denver as the example again, we'd have benefited more from a HOF coach or HOF quarterback this year I'd say the latter in a heartbeat. Long term is a different issue, naturally.
What you actually want, of course, is just a team that has been consistently well-run for decades. I think Denver have suffered for Pat Bowlen's illness.
It's fine, they're best mates again now.
Rumours building that Ball is going to get the GM job in Green Bay and McCarthy could possibly quit because of it.
Isn't Eliot Wolf one of the most talked up GM candidates in the whole league? Seems a bit odd to not just give him the job. The Ravens guy is the other one that always gets talked up, but I can't remember his name.
Still, may as well go all out with the rebuild, I guess. Should cut Rodgers as well really. It'd help the cap.
Chucky is back,time to become a Raiders fan i guess.Bandwagoner for sure but i just like the attitude he brings.
Wolf is only always mentioned because of his surname, there's a few others as well regarded there. Gundekunst probably higher. Giving an accountant, especially in a move to alienate the head coach, the job is an odd one though.
Definitely need cuts though. Nelson, Cobb, and Matthews take up $36m of cap room by themselves next season as things stand and none are worth paying big money any more. I'd expect two to be gone.
If the NFL had any balls they’d make them cut Rodgers for that IR debacle but I guess the rule only applies to shit players.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ts-to-refugees
Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan wants everyone to revel in the first home playoff game of his tenure.
The team announced Khan and the Jaguars Foundation donated 500 tickets to refugees from around the world who settled in Northeast Florida and an additional 500 tickets to Puerto Ricans and their families in North and Central Florida displaced by Hurricane Maria.
The Jaguars Foundation will provide transportation for the 1,000 recipients. The team also partnered with Delaware North Sportservice to give each attendee a food and beverage voucher to use during the game.
Khan and the Jags also provided 1,500 tickets at a reduced price ($20) to local military members through the United Service Organizations.
Fair play.
Watched the latest Brett Kolmann Film Room earlier - as if I wasn't already sufficiently concerned about the Panthers :moop:
I also watched some Quenton Nelson tape. That man is a strong, angry dude & I love him.
Anyone watching the Titans/Chiefs?
I'm hoping for a Chiefs win with Smith/Kelce going off.
I've got some money on the Chiefs -7.5 and Kelce to score the first TD.
For all the talk early on about Rodgers and Smith from the same draft, Smith has turned out to be quite a player.
I've always liked him, it just took him a bit of time to really get the NFL game.
Didn't help that the Niners were pretty shit bar his last year and a half or so. Harbaugh and his team helped him a lot.
Titans are going to get stomped.
I think they'll struggle next year if they do trade him to give Mahomes the gig.
This isn't going to be very close, is it?
Nope.
Titans haven't turned up yet. The Chiefs defence looks desperate to throw away the game though.
How does Decker drop that?
:sick:
Why throw it at Peters? All he really does is pick QBs off.
I think I'm going to watch something else pretty soon :D
RIP Mularkey.
That pick was disgusting.
What a sack that was.
Johnson blew Mariota up.
Woof that.
Derrick Henry needs shooting after that shit block.
Can't see Kelce coming back today.
Kelce won't be back after that.
The officiating in this game :D
Jesus.
Needs a Titans TD here.
Not seen that before.
What the fuck was that? :D
New York gave that, that's fucking funny.
Does that count as a passing TD from Mariota to Mariota?
Is that 12 fantasy points? :D
It does as well :D
The NFL website has Mariota passing it to Mariota so he has a passing TD and a receiving one.
That's fucking funny :D
Mariota's QB fantasy stock just rose after that touchdown.
Kelce now out with concussion, I swear it was due to targeting but hehs.
Stupid cunt.
This game :D
Game on. I even went on the gin.
What is going on?
Game on.
Two 2pts attempts fucked.
Titans are on a tightrope.
What the hell? I switched this off because it was dead and buried.
Fucking LOL if the Chiefs bottle this.
If we end up with the Titans & Bills winning the AFC wildcard games the divisional round is going to be pathetic.
Fucking scenes this.
Fucking hell.
Derrick Henry looks like the whole kitchen running through that defence.
loooooooooooooooooool.
Old man Johnson :cool:
Fuck off, how did the refs not see he was done?
Holy shit :roflol:
Balls out you fucks.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Perfect way to end it, whichever way the review goes.
Sort out your refs NFL you pathetic sack of shits.
Mariota :D :cool:
What a shambles by the Chiefs.
#inb4titansthrowsapick
What a game this is.
Good start.
After that game anything is possible. I'm living vicariously through the Bills for the next few weeks, or more likely the next 24 hours.
I've got money on the Rams handicap, Gurley to score 2 or more TD's, Gurley to score 2 or more & 150+ scrimmage yards and Gurley & Freeman to combine for 200+ and 2 TDs or more.
Alex Mack suplexing Freeman to get him over the line was brilliant.
Looks like the Rams have woken up.
That was a great game to watch as a neutral but if I was a chiefs fan I'd be fuming. Two absolutely horseshit calls on turnovers which takes points off the board for you.
The sack fumble on mariota being called forward progress during initial contact was just the worst call I've ever seen in my short period of watching NFL.
Fuck sake Atlanta, now we get the Vikings if we can beat Carolina :moop:
I could have maybe seen us beating Carolina. Did not want Atlanta :(
At least it's nice to have a play-off game.
So nothing's happening in the Bills-Jags game then.
It's a shitter.
That was an impressive interception.
Can't watch much more of this.
An interception followed by a three and out :D
This is garbage.
Brian Gutekunst is the new Packers GM.
That was a fucking stupid penalty there.
These flags :D
Game of the season, this.
An actual touchdown? Oh my.
Bortles looks so shit when passing. Should just stick to running it.
Game comes down to 4th down & Nathan Peterman has to come in for it :D
Imagine if he leads them to a win though.
Pickterman doing what he does best :cool:
Yep, that was about the way I expected it to go :D
I hope they don't reverse that.
It's a catch for me.
Ah, poor Peterman. Big fat legend for about 30 seconds, then straight back to picksville.
12/23 for 87 yards and 1 TD passing compared to 10 carries for 88 yards.
ELITE.
When you see that lineup and Tennessee and Jacksonville in the last four, it just shows how poor the AFC is.
This interview is amazing. Campbell is at least a foot taller than her.
I might go to sleep now so I don't have to watch the game :uhoh:
I really hope the Saints win (ugh, I feel so dirty) because of those shit handshakes between the Panther offence.
Newton is such a twat.
:face:
Oh look Newton in early quarter 1 timeout shocker.
I like Ryan Kalil's 'I don't give a fuck about your shit' hand raise, personally. You'd feel a bit shit if you're Damiere Byrd or Ed Dickson though.
Gano :harold:
Ted :drool: Brees missed him on one in the regular season, but they got it right when it counts.
Big Ted :cool:
Get fucked Panthers.
Ken :D If only it was college where that's only a 15 yard penalty.
Losing Andrus Peat is a problem, especially considering Terron Armstead was questionable until game time. Kelemete is a decent backup, but now Armstead has to finish as we're chucking in jobbers from now on. We could do with spending a mid-round pick on the line, to be fair. Not sure if Strief will be back at OT & we need more depth inside given how often we pick up injuries.
Still, nice to see the offence has got going a bit after the first two drives. Them losing Kawann Short would be very helpful, but it looks like he'll only be out a play or two.
I had a feeling this might be a Brees game :drool: Might go get the jersey in a second. That ought to curse it.
Now that we wont be playing the Saints I'm fully on their bandwagon.
Brandon Coleman needs to fuck off with all these fumbles lately.
Will :cool:
"TONY MCDANIELS' WIFE IS IN LABOUR!!"
One hour later: "Oh, sorry, she actually has a stomach bug" :D
It's Kansas City/Tennessee all over again...
Bet Cam wishes he'd gone down on the first hit now :drool: Onyemata just finished him.
That hit on Cam was glorious. There's nothing to like about him.
Unlike our Cam, who is a monster of a football player & a fantastic bloke.
Be nice if we could stop getting penalties on good kick returns though. Could do with the run game showing up for a drive here so we can kill some clock.
Every time Brandon Coleman gets the ball with room to run I just want him to go down so he can't fumble :D
I'm amazed Drew Brees managed to outrun Julius Peppers there. Michael Thomas is great though.
Perfect way for this to end is with a Cam Newton pick.
There goes Alvin :thbup:
Two score game with 5mins left & Cam half concussed sounds good. Another potential O-Line injury does not.
That came out of nowhere.
Saints to run the ball for 4 minutes and it's all good.
Oh. Well that wasn't ideal :|
Well this is going to get tense.
I hate it. It's exactly the way we lose.
It's just a shit punt basically tbh.
Fuck off with your stupid shit Payton.
Well that was a fucking fantastic idea you stupid shitheads.
NOW this is exactly how we lose.
lol look at Newton chimping out about that grounding call.
That was a thing of beauty. You stamp your feet like a baby and fuck off for another year.
'Riverboat' Ron seething too :drool:
Glorious.
That was horrible. Sean Payton is a moron, but Drew Brees & Cam Jordan are Gods.
If Payton wanted to dick about with the 4th down he should've gone:
- Hard count, take 2nd timeout
- Hard count, take final timeout
- Punt formation with Kamara & Ginn starting as slot blockers then motioning out as gunners & Ingram in as a protector, hard count, take the delay penalty
- Actually punt it
Or he should've just punted it & not been a lunatic.
Oh you aren't alone, my first thought when I saw the final score was than goodness I don't have to see any more of him this season
Very unhappy Chiefs fan here, not especially because of the crap officiating, but because of the capitulation yet again by the team - winnable game thrown away by not running the ball, and not being able to stop the run, been the problem since mid season
The slap Kelce got seemed to knock the whole team to shit.
I really want to go to the Wembley games and possibly the Spurs games.Quote:
The 2018 NFL London Games schedule will be released on Facebook Live at 3:45 pm UK time on Thursday, January 11, live from Tottenham Hotspur, so make sure you tune-in!
Thank you to all our fans who attended the London Games this past year, leading to sell-outs for all four games at Wembley and Twickenham, including more than 40,000 season tickets.
I'd say I can ease off on trying to get tickets for next year. Only hope of the Packers coming was the game away to the Rams, but they're doing the home game they have to switch in Mexico now.
I've seen this doing some rounds.
https://i.gyazo.com/3d80a77879d0d61d...1a717b5292.png
If true then that's a massive improvement on this year.
Might skip that Panthers/Steelers one if true.
Might get a season ticket now I don't work weekend :drool:
This set of London games looks tempting.
Like I said it's still speculation, but that Packers v Rams game would tempt me into going to Twickenham again. Then the possible chance of seeing AB and Lev Bell. Russell Wilson too. They really all look good apart from the Spurs stadium game. It deserves better than that as a curtain raiser.
I think it's a damn good game.
Chargers showed a lot after their first few games, Raiders should be good again with Gruden (and Carr coming back after a down year) plus it's a strong divisional game.
Cam Newton would probably have one of those massive QB blowouts while Big Ben just stares at him with a blank expression on his face whist laughing at him. Potential garbage matchup. Shame it's in Wembley though if it goes ahead.
The Eagles-Jags game maybe close depending on which Jags side turns up. The Seahawks-Broncos game will probably be a blowout. Packers-Rams screams GOTY while Raiders-Chargers is virtually a coin toss.
That's too many high-profile games to send our way surely? There is a bit of speculation that Seahawks will be part of the lineup though so I'm ready to pounce.
I near hope the Packers aren't coming as I'll feel like I should go and have zero chance of getting a ticket. Though I don't think I could do London for a weekend anyway, would be the end of me.
TTH section?
What is the end game of the London stuff for NFL? Is it just exploiting the giddiness of UK fans for a cash cow, or do they want a team here in the end?
5 games seems a lot.
I went block 501 last time, I'm hoping for 201 so I'm a little bit closer.
They keep talking about a team (franchise) here but it would be a nightmare. Would college kids called Rickshaw Fortunian Jackson want to move to London to play in the NFL? They'd also have to really manipulate the schedules as well as you wouldn't want the London team doing a week in England and then a week in America.
I just can't see it happening, they'll continue to do a handful of games but nothing more.
They don't really have minor leagues in sillyball do they? Otherwise a European minor league running Feb to May or whatever would make sense.
There was an NFL Europe:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NFL_Europe
Dominated by the Germans.
I know the Germans love the game but I didn't realise just how much until now:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Americ...ion_of_Germany
SIX tiers of American Football across the country.
Jaguars vs Eagles is confirmed but the others rumours are much less appetising than the picture above.
Chargers-Titans and Seahawks-Raiders are two new combinations I've seen mooted. I'd take that.
Jaguars/Eagles should be great.
I'll be doing the gay little Jaguar roar that is played round Wembley I think.
HOT DAMN
Spurs is easier to get to and out of than Wembley right?
Probably not for me, Wembley is one train.
I can’t watch the stream, is that our lot?
From Euston it looks like Wembley might even be a bit closer than White Hart Lane, I always thought Tottenham was a lot more central than that.
They've slowly increased the number of games and they are all still popular and hitting 75k+ attendances, even with shit teams.
The NFL gave Tottenham money towards the stadium too, so I'd imagine we're gearing towards a team here with that having the right to be the home ground.
I think I'll be getting a season ticket to go to all of those.
Drive to Wembley was fine, traffic out was a bit shit for 30 minutes or so but then I managed to turn out of it.
Sillyball :face:
Dear God man, be an adult.
501 must be awful I'd have thought. Wouldn't want to be right at the top.
I'm in 133 and I wouldn't move. Obviously it's better when the action is down my end then when it's up the other end, but the view is superb anyway. I'm shocked the seats there are reasonably priced to be honest.
Wonder what I'll end up with at Spurs.
I think you get a decent view from anywhere at Wembley, but yea, it's the height that would put me off. I did the half way line for one game (I think it was Giants/Rams at Twickenham) but I preferred being behind one end zone. Still, I'd take any seat at Wembley over any at Twickenham, so thank God that's over with.
I found the height to be a problem only when I first stepped out, after that initial flutter I was fine.
If you're that high up you want to be where I was first time. Right against the outer wall with a little shelf for your beer. :cool:
Reuben Foster got arrested for possession of marijuana in Arizona yesterday. I love him as a player, but he gets injured twice a game & he's got a few off-field incidents in his bag already, which is never great.
In other linebacker news, Thomas Davis has said 2018 will be his last season. Hopefully he'll take Keuchly with him.
There's some serious stupid young men in the NFL.
Guys like Kevin White who are just perennially injured you kind of feel for. Guys who piss it away, less so.
I still don't really get that Mariotta TD against the Chiefs. There is no way he was behind the line when he passed the ball. With some of the shit that gets called back on review it's baffling how it stood.
I really don't like the new rule of "letting shit go" and then over turning it pending review, particularly for stuff like incomplete pass/fumble stuff. There's been loads this year where the qb throws the ball away (all be it without perfect technique, but he's trying to unload the ball) and it gets called a fumble. There's then not "conclusive" evidence to over turn.
If you think it's incomplete, call it fucking incomplete.
The mariota play was pretty tight, and when it's such a "holy shit this is great" kind of play that would obviously get loads of media exposure, there's no way New York we're going to reverse it.
That was a hideous first pass :D
And now a fumble. Good solid football start.
I see Atlanta are choking already :baz:
The eagles have been hugely messy too though. This isn't playoff calibre football right now.
We've been so scrappy it's awful.
That punt was bad luck and it all collapsed from there. The most annoying thing is this game is right there for the taking so far. We're not tearing up trees but the run game is doing well and our defence is coping well. Their 2 scores have come from a fumble and a botched punt return.
We just need a bit more from Foles.
This is just horrible to watch.
Just got in, sounds like I missed a hell of a lot.
lol what a play.
Neal bricked that to fuck.
Jake Elliot is just a poor man's Justin Tucker.
Someone needs to break Tucker's ankles. Purely because of Mahow.
I think him not making the Pro Bowl was the single best thing to happen this season.
I saw him warm up for the Wembley game (shouldn't have bothered thanks to our defence) by taking a 72 yard field goal.
Just turned on and Ajayi just dropped a sitter :roflol:
Turned on just in time to see that Eagles drive. Has it been as shit as the score suggests?
It sounds/looks shit @Dan.
Remind me why the Eagles acquired Ajayi again?
He's been garbage from what I've seen so far. As soon as I type this post he goes on a huge run :moop:
Fly Eagles Fly :drool:
Despite the fact that I tipped Thielen to be massive this season, I sincerely hope you batter the Vikings @Dan.
Taking 3 there is a big win for the Falcons.
We tend not to do well on their hurry up offence and they'll be speeding up now.
Dear NFL, what the fuck is a catch?
Unless Keenum has a meltdown I don't fancy us - the Vikings are the most complete team in the league, and their pass rush could shred what's left of our O-Line & shut down the run game, while Xavier Rhodes could help limit Micky T.
On the other side, our LBs are there to be had by the likes of Rudolph, McKinnon out of the backfield & Thielen/Diggs out of the slot. I'd put it at 27-17 Minnesota, but there's definitely still a chance we come through, we'd just have to play like we did during that midseason run, and we haven't played like that for over a month.
HUGE challenge there. Probably the right call, but no doubt there will be/would have been mass outrage about it either way.
Julio though :cool: Think the Falcons are going to take this at the death, the bastards.
In before they choke.
Gray Fox :(
I'm a little surprised that that wasn't reversed just because.
Get fucked Matty Ice :drool:
How about that Eagles D? :D
FUCK YES.
Well that 2 minute warning was fucking hilarious.
Atlanta :wave:
Part of me would've preferred them to win so we could knock them out in the Championship game, but I'm not confident about us getting there so I'd rather they were just out so they can't shit their way past Minnesota somehow. Kinda tempted to stay up for the AFC game, but I'll probably fall asleep before the first quarter is done.
That game was bad for the heart. Fantastic defensive showing and Foles was just good enough.
We'll get minced by either team next week, but I'd prefer to face the Saints. As if we don't go to the Superbowl I'd like them to.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...super-bowl-lii
It's going to be Patriots/Vikings.
I could've told you that before the divisional round.
I really did not think that I'd believe that Romo was the best NFL commentator (shit was more likely due to my hatred of him) when he joined 'the booth' but he's so damn good.
That's a great catch.
That's why he got drafted fifth overall :cool:
Titans must like yellow.
That was fucking mental by the Titans. What a cluster fuck the last minute was.
Just watched the condensed game as I fell asleep during the break at the end of the first quarter, almost exactly when I thought I would.
The Titans gave up too many cheap yards with penalties, and nobody could match up with Gronk. I thought Dion Lewis looked great, even if every other RB took all the TDs off him, and obviously Brady was Brady. Mariota looked healthy, but they were too passive & kept checking down, while the line gave up pressure every couple of plays. Corey Davis made a couple of nice catches for TDs, but otherwise nobody did anything - I don't think Rishard Matthews had a single catch. Henry looked like a plodder too.
The two games tonight are the best of the round, so hopefully they'll both live up to expectations.
Word is the Steelers are expected to franchise tag Lev Bell, who has said that he would consider sitting out the season or even retiring should that happen. Be interesting to see how that one plays out over the offseason.
God. The Steelers defence better improve from here. If the jags win this the Patriots might aswell rest some starters next week.
I've got money on the Jags.
Kollman saw a lot of positives in the film room but I saw so many things that pointed to a Jags win.
£20 on Jags outright
£20 on the handicap
£10 on Westbrook to score a TD and Jags win.
Bortles is the great equaliser though.
Bortles gonna Bortles :cool:
This is going to be a wooffest.
£10 on Keelan Cole to score the next TD.
Myles Jack :drool:
Rofflesburger is rattled.
That pick :drool:
Big Ben's seething.
That Jags defence though :drool:
There goes that tenner 'how.
I thought he was out live but that's a great effort.
They gave it :cool:
We could legit be having Blake Bortles as a Superbowl winner.
That was never going to work.
Ramsey had it.
So if it comes down to the Jags v Vikings. Who takes it?
Dan takes it.
Fournette is like a hot knife through butter right now.
This is a rushing masterclass. The blocking is so good.
What a stupid catch from AB :drool:
I guess trying to injure Fournette is a good way to stop him.
Looks like a twisted ankle so he might be done.
Fournette is, and always has been, a cripple. He'll be done after his rookie deal, most likely, if not before given how he gets injured every two weeks.
Rofflesburger :drool:
You can't hold on for that long against this defence.
Maybe Big Ben doesn't have it anymore? :harold:
This is a mulling #famouslastwords
Yeah you don't come back from this.
It could all fall apart for the Steelers now. They'll probably lose Ben and Bell and their coach in the off season following this.
It's not impossible for Bell, Kirk Cousins & Allen Robinson to all end up in Cleveland next season :alan:
Steelers needed that one. They need to get their shit together at half-time & come out working the middle of the field & abusing Lev Bell.
How's your bets Mahow?
2 of the 3 are winning (Jaguars to win and Jaguars +6.5) but I need a Westbrook TD for the other.
"A consistently interested blocker" is one way to describe JuJu :D
Game on, unfortunately.
Oh Hello.
Great block by Yeldon.
Jags will be a force if they get someone decent in next year to replace Bortles.
That was good though.
Pressure's back on Pittsburgh then. If only they weren't shit on 4th & short.
Bell has 3 rushing TD's at Heinz Field this season.
Fournette has 3 today alone (plus 2 last time they played).
Antonio Brown is fucking ludicrous.
This Antonio Brown lad looks promising.
Imagine having Antonio Brown on your team. Jesus.
Imagine having him on your fantasy team :drool:
Imagine having Bortles :drool:
The Pittsburgh defence is shit without Ryan Shazier.
Bortles :drool: What a guy.
These cunts deserve it. Spent all week talking about the Patriots. Oops.
:harold:
Fournette has more rushing TDs at Heinz field this year than him. :drool:
Yep. Teams seem to fall apart when the general isn't there. The panthers would do the same if Luke wasn't there.
This defensive showing is quite possibly the worst I've seen from Pittsburgh in my few years watching. In the first game Ben had a mare but this has been all on the defence, primarily the defensive line and linebackers. Jags seems to be walking through holes.
Nah, they were good the first half of the season, then they started giving up huge plays to everyone, and then Shazier went down & now they're garbo.
Jalen Ramsey/Myles Jack v Gronk should be interesting to watch next week :drool:
Why did the clock stop after the Steelers converted? I know the guy was injured, but surely that costs you a time out? If not, why don't teams just fake injuries all the time?
Big Ben donning people in the open field with fake laterals :cool:
If I remember rightly it costs you a timeout after the two minute warning, with the obligatory runoff if you don't have any, but the rest of the time it's a medical timeout which doesn't count for either team. I'm not aware of anything that would stop teams exploiting it, but presumably there must be something in there to cover that possibility.
Tough to defend that.
That was very good from Ben.
Not sure why the commentators are talking about the Steelers have to trust their defence and not do the onside.
How can you possibly trust that fucking defence?
What a horrible onside kick that was :D Basically in FG range already.
I think the decision was right but the execution was fucking awful.
I'd go for it.
Sneak or just let Fournette pound it up the middle.
Edit: Pussies.
You couldn't go for that knowing there's zero threat of the Steelers recovering an onside kick. That's the game.
Jags doing Britain proud :cool:
I doubt Marcel Dareus has ever attempted to zone cover before.
I've gone big on the Saints (and Thomas/Kamara), 'mon boys.
Was good of them to at least try and recover that.
Michael Thomas to score a TD anytime @ 2.87 is fucking outstanding value btw.
Get on it if you can.
Putting up 42 points at home in the play-offs and still losing is lol.
Especially when the other team have Bortles at QB.
I know the dream ends next week against the Patriots but I'd fucking love it if the Jags won it all. They're the closest thing I have to a team so I'm loving this now it's over, particularly as I know a bunch of Steelers fans.
Would love a Jags/Eagles Super Bowl so that the rematch is at Wembley. :drool:
I'm fine with anyone winning now, although the Saints are obviously my preference. It'd be nice to have someone other than Brady win, I guess.
The Eagles playing either the Vikings or the Jags would be ugly as hell with Foles as QB.
I guess my preference at this stage would be Jags, Saints, Vikings, Eagles and then the Patriots a long way behind them all. Not much to choose between 2-4.
For some reason I thought the Panthers were still in too and was going to be tough to decide between them and Pats for last, but thankfully they're not.
I really like Hanson in the studio. He works well with the regulars.
That first carry was probably longer than any we had last week.
What a tackle by Morstead.
Not exactly the start we needed.
Crawley loves a flag.
Going well so far Ken :D
It's exactly the type of game he can have - he's got better at tackling since the start of the season, but he's really grabby & physical, so he can rack up penalties if the referees don't like the way he plays.
What are we doing with PJ Williams on Kyle Rudolph? :cab:
Need to get something going on offence here.
Well, I think I'm going to put some Sam Darnold cut-ups on & cry for a bit.
That's a brilliant interception.
Yep, hell of a pick. We're going to get stomped here :uhoh: The coffee is being swapped for whiskey soon, I think.
It's just too easy for the Vikings right now.
This is miserable.
Just as it was looking like we might have a game.
Might just turn off altogether at this point :D
Just give it to Kamara every play.
I lolled.
Doesn't look good for Sendejo there.
Looks like he got knocked out.
Was a pick play (accidental I think) and he took a big hit.
Money.
I went quite deep (£60) so I'm really happy with that.
Thomas is a babe.
Nice work. Now we just need to do that again on every drive we get for the rest of the game & we might have a chance.
'Mon lads.
2 TD's for Kamara, Saints win and over 47.
Let's go.
