I see the POTM Mbappe 2.0 dream has died.
La Liga team looks nuts. The tokens can be redeemed from tomorrow and icon swaps renews on Monday. Could be worth getting the 84x pack for La Liga.
I was thinking of popping one of those for La Liga but it would take a serious set of pulls to be worth it.
Did the 84+ double and got Neuer and then took him into the Bundes cup. He saved my ass with some outstanding saves in the 3rd game. My opponent had an xG of 6.2 and he only scored 1.
Gave me 3/3, but unfortunately nothing from all of the resulting packs, bar the Saudi TOTS Keeper. I then took what I had and sent TOTS Griffo and Kostic into the SBCs for Gvardiol. Those are comfortably the two worst TOTS I've used so far and I never want to see either again.

Da Costas upgrade has hit and oh my.
What I did trial was bringing him off the bench as a main CDM and letting Kimmich get forward. It's been working amazingly well as he's just so big strong and fast. His only weakness is his shooting isn't amazing, but if you're starting him you could put like a Gladiator on him and it'll be grand.
He looks insane.

How fucking good is this Canales card? Looks outrageous. Acuna looks mega too, just a shame he's 4/3
Second week in a row we've had an amazing free card in Ansu Fati. Isco links in well and looks very good too, but average body type beware.
As for the La Liga team, wow. Either prices are crazy, or people just didnt care about La Liga so the cards are rarer. If you get anyone not on the bench listed on FUTBIN you've done really well, because they all look amazing. Though I see a lot of De Thomas and Munain in everyones future.
What's everyones plan for the TOTS Swaps?
Did the Prem and got Alisson and will do the 84 during Ultimate. Shifting an icon swaps pack into this week.

Seems as if he's the Bruno of this team. Mega value for coin, but not meta enough for some. I suspect he will prop up a lot of the shit red picks.
The Icons are out for me for the TOTS Swaps. The EPL 1 of 3 also leaves you screwed if you dont get a good option in there because of the cost. Videos I've seen of openings also show it's just the red picks from that WL over again in terms of luck. I've not seen one without Rodri/Rice in it yet.
The 84x 25 looks great, but to get it and the EPL guarantee you need to buy the pack, which has gone up yet again to 100k. That's very steep.
I threw a few points on. Will probably open a big pack during ultimate. Or get impatient and open a pack tomorrow :lol:
Agree on Canales. Wouldn’t be sad to pack him.

EDIT: Better investments might be Greaseman or Bisquits. Both are relevant to the TOTS out and the La Liga guarantee will spike 85/6's slightly. Could make 3k per card if you can hold til Wednesday.
No La Liga cup this week, instead we get draft frenzy. You get a token for free and another for wins 1 and 5 I believe.
I have 8 stacked up as I just havent used them.

There is that SBC to get them quite cheap.
Also I think you can do it offline too. So its even easier.

Yeah if that's true, there's no point in playing online. There's 3 free tokens for playing and then 3 in the repeatable SBC. So you should only really need to pay for one entry at the end.
My luck has turned big time in those packs that state possible Main league/Shit league player. All 3 of the loan packs in the past two weeks have given me a useless shit leaguer and first last week and now this weeks Squad Battles red has given me one from the shit league too.
I'm back up to 13 TOTS Swap tokens. I believe we're due one last one(Liga NOS upgrade?) that isn't in the store pack and that will leave me a decision. Either I put all of my eggs into the 1 of 3 pick without spending anything more. Or I can see the 100k as an investment. There's the small chance of a TOTS in that pack but then there's a further chance in the 84+ pack. Even if nothing comes out of those, then I have the fodder to complete someone like Isco, or whatever else may come out in the meantime.
Yeah I got Red Bannan.
I then got Varane and a couple of boards from the packs.
Sarabia can be combined with draft with the right luck/player selection. Since I am doing it on beginner I will be doing my best to make that happen
You can combine Navas and Sarabia if you use a mix of the Iberian crew as well

Bought the 100k pack and committed to the 84+ x 25. I'd been waiting for Liga NOS in packs so when I got a TOTS it'd at least be linkable easily.

Still, I went and took my frustrations out on people in weekend league. Did an 8-2 Qualy run and then smacked people left right and centre and am 10-0 in finals. Played the best stuff I have really.
Very aware the final 10 games will be hell now, but I only need to win one.
I havent yet added anyone or done any SBCs from La Liga. I have an idea of using Spaniards to link in Isco, Fati and Canales in the triangle of doom in the 4-3-2-1, but then I need to make sure it's all balanced.
What I have done though is put in Sule, Da Costa, Diaby and Neuer into the starting 11. It doesnt feel right at times but it seems to be working.
EDIT: Bah, the run ends at 11 wins. Got dicked on by someone far better than me. 3-0 down without really touching the ball 30 mins in. I'll do the final 8 tomorrow. Not sure I really care if I get the 3 wins or not atm.
Finished on 16-4 in the end, which gives me rank 3 and my best finish yet. Basically played golden goal tonight and it seemed to work well.

Red pick 2: Fekir, Courtois, Munain, Canales.
Surprised I wasn't completely shat on with those. I have no real way on linking Acuna in as it is now, but I went for value on that pick as he's about as much as the other 3 comined.

I knew the gig was up when I saw the Spain flag(I'd forgotton Pedri was in it). A bit meh that an actual good finish for once wasn't overly rewarded, but I think it was Yev who said that they seem to be more than willing to chuck out these lower rated TOTS but the actual useful ones are rare as anything.
Been rinsing cards into the upgrades and got both TOTS keepers.
Means my tradeable numbers up MATS can go.
Which have you been doing? I did about 10 of the La Liga ones but best I got was an 84 in two of them, the rest not even boards. First PP I did had a dupe De Thomas, but then the rest have been a mix of 81-83.
I've got bugger all from the La Liga TOTS so far. Only one I have is that Parejo objective and he is absolute bobbins.
Indeed. That De Thomas is the only one I've packed that wasn't a guarantee.
Onto the Icon swaps grind tonight. I have the ability to get 10 tokens.
It's either:
PIM Best + 82+ x 25
PIM Dalglish + 83+ x 25 and 82+ x 25
93+ Moments + 83+ x 25.
Looking at that, I'm pretty sure the last option is probably the worst. There's always that chance your luck is in, but of the 40 odd Icons available in that pack, only a quarter of them are worth more than the best on offer.
Of the other two, I'm aware Best is the better player to have in game, but the other option could be better value overall. It's also hard to say no to Kenny as a Liverpool fan.
Do you think you would actually use either?

Also saved Trent from the gulag. Again. Need to decide what to do with him.
Best would absolutely make the first team. Kenny would also play right now, though would be the more likely of the two to sit out.

As I'm now done with the new bunch of La Liga guys I'll give a bit of a verdict as they don't seem to exist in packs.
RDT: Put every single one of these you get into an SBC. Terrible.
Munain: Great for the price. Not a big name but would use him again.
Militao(loan): Very fast and agile, but that lean body type does him few favours.
Acuna: Amazing, but suffers from Cancelo syndrome in that he can play anywhere on the park. I think best as a CDM.
Fekir: Good, but can feel heavy due to the body type. This does however sometimes let you muscle people off the ball. So it's a trade off.
Canales: He's the one I'd want as a CAM. Average height and lean body type don't lend him well to out and out defensive work, but having it that high on a CAM can be great if you do some pressing with him. His passing is close to perfect too.
Ugh. Double trolled. Got a TOTS walkout from the draft packs and it was Brazilian… was the Porto guy.
Then turned in the 84+ pick and got Kroos. Turned that into the Liga NOS pack and got a Uruguayan!… it was Coates.
