I think both mahow and Yev are going for it. I can afford the cost and I have some fodder in the club too, but I really don't think it's going to be worth it on average, so I'll probably pass.

Nedved is the best and most expensive but doesn't get into my first team. Puyol would get into my Spanish team and Ruud would get into my Dutch side (plus he's one of my favourite ever players).

He's a little more expensive (so the FAT L is slimmed down slightly) and at least Spanish is in the Icon Swaps this go round.

I took it into Rivals and had some early thoughts.
The good: Curtis Jones is incredible. I've used him as a CDM and a box to box CM and he excels in both. El Shaarawy is also very good. Deco is also exactly what I wanted. Silky on the ball and a great passer. Discount Xavi if you will.
The Bad: I didn't feel Yuri, or the defence in general was up to much. Though it did feel connection dependant for the CBs. I understand Tavernier is me trading to a more offensive fullback but he felt a little bit of a liability at times too. I ended up putting Mbabu in at LB after a few games and enjoyed him much more.
The Ugly: My 10 depth tactics seemed to fail me completely. Luckily I had a 4-4-2 set up in my custom tactics. They seemed to suit me much better but it isn't really how I want to play. I may have to look around for what I can find to change things up.
Was reading a post on Reddit about someone trying to turn a profit on 5k gold packs while prices are inflated, so I thought I'd try a few. Out pops What If Odegaard from the first one :cool: Will probably hang onto him for a little while before selling as Arsenal already have 3/6 goals and they've got Burnley next but then some tough games after that. Selling for 590k at the moment.
On the flipside of that sort of luck, I did the icon pick.

I will say though the game has given him the finger after blessing him with his first two.
In all seriousness, I did it because it dawned on me that 'rolling the dice' is by far the most fun aspect of this game.
And Alan Shearer, while shit, is one of my favourite players ever, so not all bad. Even if I exchanged 1.1m of assets to get him. :moop:
