Whilst 8 is clearly too many, 3/6 Asian teams got out of their group in 2022, better than Africa 2/5, Concacaf 1/4 and same as Conmebol 2/4. Only UEFA were better with 8/13.
Those three also being the three nations on the continent who have ever produced a top class individual player, and the three who have different colour shorts to their shirt. The rest should take note.
