If you take GB News presenters and the like to be representative of the mood of the nation, then I think it's a you problem.
It's just people whipping up a story that doesn't exist. For the most part people have behaved perfectly normally on this one - Queen dies, people are slightly moved and some want to celebrate her life and pay respects - but that isn't particularly newsworthy so a NARRATIVE is needed.
