The signing of Pogba was probably one of the most damaging things they've done. It's hindsight and all, but Fergie had his number, and bringing him in for newly minted Mourinho [also clearly a terrible plan] was just insane.

Fergie absolutely wanted to keep Pogba. He just wasn't prepared to give him the money and assurances he was asking for (which he felt were being driven by Raiola who he hates).
They should actually flush a dozen players out this summer. If they have to finish ninth next year with an eighteen year old bench then so be it. If they want a 'cultural reset' as Neville calls it, and break the back of all the wank and cliquey bullshit, then it needs to be done ruthlessly.
Not giving in to his dickhead agent [who is an extension of his own dickhead personality] is why he was right about him. He's not a player you can trust.
This has hopefully already changed. Woodward has gone and the guy who's replaced him seems set on sticking to the commercial side, whilst the new DoF (John Murtough) along with a few other PROPER FOOTBALL PEOPLE are taking over the football side of things.
The new manager appointment and this summer window will be the first real test of whether things have really changed.
We absolutely do need a massive clear out.
Maguire is going to be a huge problem; he's not the terrible player he's made out to be but he can't play in a team that wants to play a high line and press which is basically mandatory to be a top team nowadays it seems. He's good for England and was good for Leicester because he doesn't/didn't have to deal with that. But nobody will take him off our hands for anything close to what we paid for him and I doubt the Glazers will sign off on making a huge loss to get rid.
Lads, no one cares about some mid-table delusional shit, take it to redcafe. Tomorrow we're being treated to an event. I haven't been this excited about a league game since those peak El Classicos. We're fucking 3.5 to win too, this is what we live for.
3.5? Fuck me, that's massive.
2.6 is the biggest I’ve seen. Unless he means Brentford?
3.7 on the betfair exchange.
3.5 on Bet365.
Load up boys and I'll meet you on here for the ride tomorrow. Any price greater than evens for the greatest ever side to play the game to win a game (let alone such an important one) is some opportunity.
What’s 3.5 in real money? 9/4 or something?
5/2.
Why the fuck Arteta played Xhaka at LB instead of going 5 at the back I'll never know. Great doomspiral to end the season before Newcastle bully the fuck out of us in the summer when we desperately need to sign quality reinforcements :moop:
It was some kid apparently.
Austistic teenager. Either way what a cuntish thing to do (I'm aware it pales in comparison to some of his other behaviour)
I guess he's gutted at not winning the FA Cup.
Once he's retired and not being protected there's going to be some seriously bad shit coming out about him. I'm talking Skeletor level shenanigans.
Worse than the rape?
Probably.
Chelsea should have had double figures yesterday. Hasenhuttl is some chancer.
Surprised he's gone for Jota rather than reverting to his standard XI for big games.
City have done relatively well sussing Liverpool out in more recent games. They seem to draw our team all the way over to our left and then hit quick passes to get at Trent on the other side.
I think it all depends on how City approach the game. If they go in looking to just not lose, they could become unstuck. But they've got a good recent record against us and must know a win for them puts the title to bed.
They got no pace which is our weakspot so all good, barring any red cards we got this.
Massive results for Brentford and Burnley too. The former now safe and it really doesn't look good for the latter now. Their run in is easier than Evertons but you're suddenly needing 2-3 wins to stay up from there.
Aye, I think Frank can muster another win out of them. The bottom three might be settled now. Unless Norwich go on a proper tear.
 I can't shake the foolish thought that we're actually going to slap City.
Got a nice half-pint of Budweiser (the king of beers), sat on the sofa and looking forward to a feast of top notch footie action.
Tense 0-0 or 1-0 written all over this. Far too many expecting City to be swept aside for some reason.
Let's have it.
Already annoyed by the City kit. White shorts and/or socks, you fucks.
Super Frankie Lampard! Great goal.
Quite pleased I didn't lump on the 3.5 now.
I’m sure in the reverse fixture he scored a deflected goal off Matip as well.
The extra effort the City fans go to create an atmosphere for Liverpool (waiting for the bus, bringing flares) always makes me lol.
I swear Ederson and Allison are always circus clowns in this fixture.
And now I wish I'd got on the 7.0 (or whatever) at 0-1.
This slow tapping the ball around the back will give me a heart attack.
Gateshead won 4-3 against Chester to keep the pressure on leaders Brackley. Two big games over Easter, including a match against Darlo.
City should be four up at this point but their composure has been shite. Liverpool are 7/2 in play, I'm thinking I should lump on it. Wouldn't surprise me at all for Liverpool to nick it.
The bed is full of shit.
Fabinho has been awful. Need to get to half-time still in it.
Someone tell the team in red the league is at stake here.
Has Salah just downed tools until the new contract is signed?
Liverpool really don't look like a team challenging for the league today. Fucking shite.
Very much brings back memories of the first half of the reverse game. Liverpool didnt turn up there but then come out firing in the 2nd half.
On this viewing I'd replace the entire front 3 at half time. Mane and Salah havent done a thing today and Jota fluffed his chance straight at Ederson. Should be about 4-1 to City here.
At the minute it’s the wrong team. Should be Firminio for Jota in these games that also gives mor options off the bench if you do need to chase the game later.
Maybe Keita instead of Thiago as well for legs.
Man City should be out of sight whilst we've been pretty shit from the get go. We're not helping ourselves either though, architects of our own impending downfall if it remains as is.
Look what happens when you confidently pass the ball forwards.
