Both fodder packs opened to.... fodder really. Nothing eventful in either. However up to 7 of 11 done. 84, both 85s, both 86s, an 88 and an 89 done.
I also missed a token so Ansaldi was one away from me(am I fuck buying the store one for 100k). Instead I put those tokens into the fodder packs and got a Suarez and Brun O'Fernandes back.
As yet nothing has left the club that I'm bothered about too much. The two future stars objectives have gone as has Lamela(tried him and didnt like) and Gattuso. No card has yet gone from my first team squad page. I'm close in rating to one of the other 87's but even without it my calculations have me at having knocked 1.3m off already with 900k-1m to go.
I have half of that at least in coins, so it actually looks pretty promising.
EA gave away the final token. They screwed up by the looks of it.
2 FB (Djiku and dupe Berchiche), 88, 2x87 and 2x86. Not too bad.
So looks like EA done an EA: a special Eriksen card overwrote his gold card - people are buying them and quickselling/putting into SBCs
Make sure you use him while you have him!
Did both de Vrij and Quaresma this morning and I still have 30 packs to run through. I'm currently 12-2 up at half time in a Managerial Masterpiece game as I work on the 87 Thommy... Yes, my opponent is playing, and yes he is woeful.
Managed to throw in the dupe Eriksen quickly to finish an 87 on Mbappers taking me to 8/11 done. The first casualty of the run came through having to put my Marquinhos in, but I figured this is too good of an opportunity to pass up.
Snagged The Woj TOTW card as a massive pull from the pack for it.
Will have him in no time.

I couldn't help myself - I'm 7 games in out of the 15 so it hasn't been too taxing.
I won 16-3 in the end. I got up to 15 and then he put the pad down so I did the same. But being the sneaky shithouse that he is, he started playing again and went and scored. So I just ran through, scored another, did the big man and paused the game like a true twat. :D
He went back to idling after that.

This new promo actually gives players +3, broken down into three +1 upgrades. If your player is a team regular he's going to get the full whack almost guaranteed. A damn good Tonali SBC to start too.
Like you Danny I also want to do Ramos as it all links together well if I do. The good progress made so far on Mbappe makes me kind of want to hang fire and switch it over.
I'm currently about 300k short of Mbappe taking my coins into account, but can also finish Ramos off with coins. Mbappe does have 29 days left to Ramos' 8, but I'd seethe hard if I got all but 1 squad of Mbappe done.

I think with how close you are to Mbappe I would be shocked if you couldnt get both done. Especially as you get decent WL every weekend.
Savvy signings going to be easy enough for some 88 fodder.
My worry with that mode is all the good players are already going to be over 2k coins.
Ideally I would do Ramos. I'd still have 3 weeks to find the stuff for Mbappe, but as I say, it starts getting squeaky bum time if I'm an 89 squad short with days to go.
I built a full Prem team.
Mendy, Fredericks, Ake, Sanchez, Chilwell, Mount, Odegaard, Onyeka, Bailey, Jesus and Zaha. Most well under the 2k number.
Fred and Telles were options too but I had them untradeable and switching out wasn’t working.
I copied your homework but I will say from the bench usage he got for me, Muriel is probably going to be about the best bang for buck attacker you’ll squeeze into this mode.
As for the classic cup. It’s nice having the halves so short so the game is out of the way, but my 3rd opponent yesterday figured out what I have. If you go a goal, especially if it’s two, up, you then just need to play possession for possessions sake. By the time they switch to a constant pressure tactic 10 mins have gone by in game at least.
Rattled off Simon last night. If someone didn’t quit when I scored then I just put the controller down. Nice and easy.
I've just noticed, the players in this promo are not eligible for upgrade until after April 1st. Just under 2 weeks until they can begin to get a boost. I also hope they boost them as soon as they get the desired result and not wait for the 5 games to be done.
If you do get one of the 87/88 rated ones, might be worth holding it, assuming you dont need to use it right away, might turn into much better fodder in a few weeks.
Simon looks primed to hit a 91 (already involved in 23 games and 10 goals this season.
Jose Sa might be a good investment. Currently 86 rated and can be picked up around 19k.
He is Wolves first choice keeper, started 29 out of 30, so should get that +1.
Wolves have Villa at home, Newcastle away, City home, Burnley away and Brighton home. You would think they get 1 win from the latter two.

If I can get him closer to 17k during the week I might grab load of them.

I found the same. Best bet is to score and either a rubber band, or prop the controller up on its triggers.
I have been using an airpod case to push the stick up, going AFK after going 1-0 up. Might have to look at the triggers.

0-1 He scores first, I pause to leave but he gives it full celebration. So I decided to score and go afk.
1-1 equalizer, full Jesus phone celebration. I go AFK.
1-2 He scores and starts just holding the ball. Perfect.
2-2 He scores an own goal and also goes AFK.
2-3 I score an OG and look to hold the ball to speed it up.
3-3 Constant pressure, gets the ball back and goes scores an OG.....
3-5 I score two quickly and just hold the ball.

Yeah there are some proper cretins. The worst of which, score first and then when it's clear you arent leaving, throw everything at stopping you scoring. When you finally score your goal, they just put the pad down.

I think people do generally GG in that mode but I just dont think I can be bothered with it.
Having checked I apparently already have 5 games of the 15 checked off. Must have used Reinier as a super sub for something else. Makes it something I can do to tick it off I guess.

So my question is, because I never claimed it via the Mrs account, if I unlink and then try to link hers to mine, might the pack pop up? I'd give it a bash full stop just for science, but you can only change the linked account once every 6 months.
The new RM released looks very interesting. He's very good at everything except for heading accuracy. If he were to get +3, his stats would all be 90 or more except for his defending. Mega utility man too.

Got a Mahrez from the packs and not much else, but that lead me to check how I'd be looking for an 88 squad. This is for Mbappe and potential Ramos purposes. Turns out if I managed to do POTM Courtois, I can knock off an 88 squad. Or I can quite comfortably do the 87 without him. There would be some casualties, but none that would really make the first team.
According to FUTBIN, with current prices, if I get the 87 done, 655k remains. If I do the 88, 575k remains instead. I have 525k currently. Now I'm not going to submit anything until Icon Swaps comes out because some of these cards may be really useful in that, but after that, I could legitimately have Mbappe done by the end of next week.
As for Ramos, I just dont think I can do both in time unless something crazy happens in some rewards.

Did WL quali today with the intention of winning 2 and giving the rest away. I was then given two more wins while doing that so grabbed one more win to get rank 7.
Two 84 reds and not much from the pack I opened. Dont have enough tradepile space to move all the dupes to the jumbo will probably have to wait until after tomorrows SBC's
I’m about to start my final run. 14 games left and I’m 5-1. I am happy with 9 or 11 wins from here. Gold Denayer at CB is the life.

I then opened my Prime Gaming Pack. Nothing special in the pack itself, but in the first PP was a shiny 90 Lucas Moura. A cool 900k on the market which makes him comfortably my best pull of the year by a long long way. Unfortunately he'll probably just end up on the bench with POTM Vini. :D

Decided to check some stats on the main squad which has been lining up like this:

I've great returns from Neymar, Mkhi and Greasyman, especially as those 3 rotate between CAM and wide roles as well at ST. Dembele has also put in some decent work though his card does feel a bit meh beyond his pace now. Tammy however plays as a ST always and usually my strikers get a goal per game. It's true of Lautaro, Origi and Daka from what I have in the club. Tammy is less than a goal every 2 games now. I did think I wasn't doing great with him, but I didn't realise it was to this extent.
After checking that I went into the 82+ packs. Dumped most of the club and was getting back only 82's/83's. Got a dupe Coady TOTW which forced my hand into doing FF Caligiuri. Then the next was Bourigeud TOTW, which allowed me to swap my treadeable one out. Then came an 87 De Jong and then to top it off Kante out of the last one.
Those last two are great for the Classic cup but also great helps in the Mbappe hunt. I've looked again at Ramos but high rated fodder is up right now as such he's now rated at over 600k. I'm just not sure I can do that. He'd also pose a slight problem in that Lafont only soft links to him, so I'm locked into a Ligue 1/french/Icon CB partner to him if I do it.
I do have 650kish now to hand and over the next week or so I will be adding that nuts Mbappe and either Cafu or Gerrard to the club. Gerrard looks like an option because of my need for a midfield partner to Guendouzi. He'd also help with links everywhere. He's also "free" and has been given a pretty good card now. Cafu is still Cafu though.
Looking a bit up the road. If I do manage to keep my coins as I do Mbappe, there's some interesting players coming into my price range. Some of the cheaper TOTY cards are right there(Lewa is, the full backs and Jorginho really not far off). I really need to stop looking at all of these fancy attackers though!
