First GSTK will be at the cricket, by the looks. The king bit I can handle, but 'send him victorious' is going to catch a few out. Check your pronouns.

They'll have to put the lyrics on the big screen.
With a little crown bouncing along the words so everyone keeps the same time.
What’s this guff about? Surely there’s not much point in clubs paying respect if they’re going to loophole their way out of it.
Have UEFA quite rightly said that they're not postponing any games?
Irish racing is on tomorrow. :)
Shame my horse is running at Kempton and not Leopardstown. Hopefully UK racing goes ahead on Monday, mind.
I thought it was on tomorrow in the UK? Definitely is on Sunday anyway. It’s just football by the looks of it that’s off all weekend.
Thought that was quite good from our new King.
What did Trevor Sinclair do? He seems to be getting the sack from TalkSport for it.
He’s probably right in the sense that it’s the same as someone doesn’t need to rejoice in the dead, everyone shouldn’t have to give a fuck either.
Then again she was a symbol with zero power so I don’t really see how anger could be directed there rather than governments.
An hour for any thread. Has the site here shut down too like the BBC?
There's no football to post about.
We're all too grief-stricken to post.
Let us mourn.
Never thought it'd be the Queen that killed the board.
I'll have a Melilla update at some point this evening Giggles, but that's about the best I can do.
There's no other weird stories in the UK news for us to take the piss out of in the News of the Day thread either.
Get a Haxball server up, Giggs.
I’ll never be that bored.
The Queen loved a bit of Hax.
So much so she apparently referred to her favourite estate unofficially as Haxballmoral.
I was going to go with Hax-Coburg but that's much better.
Talking of Balmoral and given it's 50,000 acres or so, can anyone just wander round it or is the whole thing fenced off and guarded? If so, what in the fuck does that look like? There must be a small army living there.
Ffs :D
I'm welling up.
God save the Queen.
I was wondering this because Scotland has stronger 'right to roam' laws than England, but there are exceptions for residences and working buildings, so maybe they just secure the area immediately around the castle and wherever anyone happens to be. But yeah, you appear to be able to mooch around a lot of it.
You can (and I have) stroll onto the bits that aren't near the castle.
As for the football getting canned discussion, is it possibly a policing in London issue? They must be expecting a bit of a day tripper swell over the next week.
My wife's work have taken Celebrations off the shop floor. :D
Just watched Boris' speech in the House of Commons and he refers to her driving them around Balmoral in her Land Rover without any security present, much to the amazement of the ramblers they came across.
He also said the BBC interviewed him a few months ago about the Queen and asked him to talk about her in the past tense. Which makes sense of the clip I saw of King Charles doing the same thing. At least wait until she's dead to get your documentary you fucks.
Bank holiday for funeral confirmed
I'm already off. :moop:
When is it?
I don't know if it's confirmed but Monday 19th is the end of the 10 days of mourning.
The corgis know.
There are some very strange people out there.
Molly, get a hold of yourself.Quote:
t's like when a grandparent passes... even if you don't know them that well, you get the feeling you don't know what to do anymore. She's been around our whole life, we don't know anything apart from the Queen. Now that she's gone it's unknown waters, she's not there anymore. As a woman growing up knowing that it's a woman in charge it's always been kind of personal. I like the fact that a woman's in power... it won't change anything now that we have a King but I think for the young girls out there it will be different looking up to a man.
Molly Bews, 20, from Liverpool
It's good that this nonsense of a role model having to be exactly like you to be a role model is now taken as gospel.
They should make a woman of color King.
