Bought some ripoff fake X-Box type controller. Makes some difference playing The Golf Club with it.
Finally finished uncharted 4.
One of the most enjoyable, storyline satisfying games ive ever played. Graphical it was amazing. There were parts int he game where you were at a high height, and felt uneasy. Felt like i was that high for real.
Destiny 2 is great fun. Basically Destiny 1.5 and I'll get bored after 40 hours but the gunplay is still the best in the business.
I've been playing a little bit too as it came with my PS4 pro, annoyed that I have to pretty much finish the game to unlock my pre-order stuff though.

Had some good fun pissing about in the EDZ whilst doing a couple of missions. Had to get to a marker but it was right in the middle of a war between some 60 power odd Phalanxs and some knights or something. I was only at about 27 power too at the time and every time I started shooting they'd cease their war, turn to me and put me down. After dying twice some level 20 guy came over and helped me (I contributed little) to clear them out.
Also got involved in some battle with a few others with some giant glowing orb thing to stop them getting some energy or something.
TGC2 is so much better with a controller, but there's no cure for putting. There's no sense to judging distance at all.
The marker. See here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1006334100
Do the math and aim at the marker distance, not just feel. If you don't move the marker its 50% harder. I won;t get onto the elevation/downhill math on driving and approaches, plus the lofting, plus the wind math.
Then you have green speeds in top right, 187 is shit off a shovel, 101 is treacle. Its all practice in the end though, putting is probably my best aspect. Downhill putts take off rapid in TGC2 so be gentle with those.
Pewdiepie called someone a nigger on stream, good job it wasn't a bad one like feminism or privilege because then the gaming community would be really angry with him.
The boy's got form. I've been too engrossed in the Sons of Kojima leaks (swatting, blackmail, paranoia, etc) to give it much thought.
That another shitty, dull, nobody gives a shit gaming scandal, shinners?
I hope we get 5 years of updates like DarkSouls Pete or whatever.
Any recommendation for a platform game. Similar to the uncharted series? I stopped playing tomb raider once i got a ps2. I see there are still releasing games. Is it playable?
They just released a new Uncharted last week if you haven't got that yet.
It's bitesize compared to the full game as it was originally meant to be just DLC, but it's definitely worth it. Less filler.
Uncharted The Lost Legacy is being sent out too me. Should be with me for rent tomorrow. Nice surprise, I didnt even know another one was released.
As Wullie says, there wasn't much press around it as it's more of a short story thing. It's around the same length as Uncharted 1.
By the way, those games aren't called platformers any more. That's like Mario. What you want to google around for is 'Action Adventure'.
Im not into this name changing. They were called platform games back then, they are called platform games now.
Destiny 2 is fun so far.
Surely they've never been called platform games.
You could definitely describe the original Tombraiders as 3d Platformers but no not really.
No, they haven't.
Aye, they were always called Action Adventures.
Whatever the fuck.
Ive got uncharted. Ill play that later. Then im going to hitman which ive been meaning to play for over a year. Tomb raider looks ok, but i may give that a miss.
I never liked Tomb Raider before but the newer ones are a lot like Uncharted, I think you might like it.
I saw some gameplay, and the camera shake caused my eyeballs to hurt.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 out today.
Hmm, that's extremely tempting.
Im just checked that game. Im just not interested in games that look and play like that at all. I liked stronghold crusader, but that was it. It was probably completely different.
Wasn't Stronghold about building a Castle and Divinity Sin about role-playing someone who could talk to dogs? Quite different.
It looks somewhat similar, but you maybe right. It is probably a different game completely.
It is, Stronghold is a siege/battle sim while the Divinity games are RPG's.
Well I made a bit of a boo-boo in new Divinity's excellent character-creator by misunderstanding what the Origins were and therefore going with my own but it's not a major issue and my undead elf should still be a lark. I've already munched on many a corpse and there's a lot of cool new stuff in it. Enjoyed the first few hours and the co-op is done masterfully once again.
I can't open Steam.
It keeps trying to update and then crashes saying that the bootstrapper has stopped responding.
Tried a reboot, a reinstall, deleting everything bar the Steam.exe in the folder and nothing :\
Edit: Trawled through forums and videos and finally found the problem. Have to reinstall loads now though :(
I had that error last year. I fixed it by changing the setting for beta's to "opt out of beta".
I couldn't even open Steam to do that.
That does suck.
What was the problem, if I may ask?
My antivirus.
I turned it (Bitdefender) off but it still wasn't working then I found someone saying that turning off the 'Advanced threat defence' could work and thankfully it did.
Aye, antivirus and Steam have had a rocky relationship for years now. Friends had problems with different antivirus (AVG, Avast, MSE to name a few), often resulting in making exceptions for Steam.
Never had the problems myself, luckily.

Really getting into Destiny 2 now.
Seriously good fun.
Larian released a 10mb hotfix that has stopped multiplayer connecting. :face:
Although it's almost worth it to see all the crying on the Original Sin 2 forum on steam about it.
Saw a short video of Heat Signature (by Tom Francis of Gunpoint fame) yesterday, it looks like a lot of fun.

Yeah, I really want it.
Bloody loving Divinity. Loads of extra bits and pieces in there but it all still seems to click together beautifully.
I'm an undead and happily ripping faces off folk, just need to find out how I can turn them into masks now.

Flared mag too for more stability and much faster reloads.
I've had fun the last 90 minutes or so just fast travelling around on Nessus to don public events.
