Euro 2024 - Group Stage: This format is bollocks

Yep, a nice 120 minute safety first 1-0 win over Slovakia with chances for us and them kept to an absolute minimum would be ideal. If Gallagher wasn't taken off to avoid a second yellow and Mainoo starts I'd like to see a mediocre (but DEFINITELY no better than that) performance from him too. Absolutely no need to create new saviours and heroes having killed the existing ones, so if I were Gareth I'd be saying to him to temper the energy a bit, stay out of the attacking third and try and misplace a few passes.

Having thought about it more, that last bit will be a challenge given how good Mainoo has looked this season for both Man Utd and when he's appeared for England, so I think the only way to navigate it is to buddy him up with Jude Bellingham and get him to explain how he's done it. I have absolute faith Sir Gareth will have this covered though.
