Just looked at my team :D :face:
Mahomes, Garoppolo and Brady as my QBs? :D
There's at least six keepers that I am pretty much confident on keeping, the rest of the team though is something to behold.
I've just seen the draft has 30 rounds.
Do you really pick that many?
I'll think about it.
Would obviously like the team Fox called dibs on but the bastard got there first.
I think that's just because keepers haven't been set, so teams have 30 roster spots to fill. I would assume that will come down once they're set, but this will be the first rookie draft I've run so I'm not entirely sure yet :D
Do we have a problem if Pleb takes the open spot then? I can always do some kind of random draw or something to decide who gets which of the other two spots if they both open up.
He called dibs and I'm a firm believer in the rule of dibs.
I noticed :D For a second I thought some random fucked had jumped in, but it turns out it was the correct fucker.
I only have 2 picks in my rookie draft (I kept 24/26 players) and am close to trading away my First Rounder.... fuck rookies.
Just trying to decide whether I would rather get Russell Wilson or Tyreek Hill in exchange.
Of course you keep Tom Brady..... why the fuck wouldn't you?
Yes, he has fuck all value after maybe 1-2 more years, but for now, he's a QB1, and you don't throw a QB1 onto the....
Oh wait, you're the guy who cut Wilson last year. Never mind.
You can keep 18 players, Pleb. I'd imagine you can make room for Brady.
For fuck sake...
I announced my Dynasty draft date and somehow that's turned into a discussion (or rather, 1 guy stomping his foot and everyone else telling him to fuck off) about how we should swap to a 2 QB league.... in a dynasty league... where everyone already has their rosters, and drafted/traded/made roster moves on the understanding it's a 1 QB league.
Of course he has Rodgers, Stafford and Carr, but that's not a factor.
I may pull the trigger on trading for Wilson, and then change it.
Dan's Dynasty League:
QB
Tom Brady (K)
Patrick Mahomes
Jimmy Garoppolo (K)
Keeping Garoppolo and Brady is the logical choice here considering I’m not a huge Brady fan. I’m not too keen on Mahomes as a backup QB in case Garoppolo and/or Brady shits the bed this season. The QB poll in your league @Dan looks…interesting considering what I inherited :sherlock:
RB
Ezekiel Elliott (K)
Kareem Hunt (K)
Jamaal Charles
Eddie Lacey
Jonathan Steward (K)
Mike Tolbert
Jacquizz Rodgers
Doug Martin
Jeremy Hill
Devontae Booker
James Conner
Chris Carson
There’s 12 of the fuckers. Kareem the Dream and Zeek stays naturally. Jonathan Steward maybe a ballsy move.
WR
Jordy Nelson (K)
Pierre Garcon
Kelvin Benjamin
Rishard Matthews
Torrey Smith
Dontrelle Inman
Michael Floyd
Cordarrelle Patterson
Robby Anderson
Nelson is pretty much the only one I’m confident on keeping. The rest though are a little bit suspect.
TE
Jordon Reed
Delanie Walker
Martellus Bennett
Let’s not pretend that Delanie Walker and Jordon Reed are fantasy studs :D
K
Chris Boswell (K)
D/ST
Bengals (K)
Seahawks (K)
I’m probably more than likely going to keep Boswell and the D/ST but the Bengals though :vomit:
Depending on the keeper costs you need to be keeping more than that. Letting Mahomes go for a start is madness. It's dynasty.....
Pleb :console:
Read up on how it works.
It's a provisional list at the moment.
I may have to look at the RB and WR situation and lock the rest of the roster.
Brady/Mahomes/Jimmy is a great set of QBs for a Dynasty. By comparison mine are Cousins/Luck/Mahomes.
There’s literally no cost to keep anyone - Mahomes, Martin, Carson, Booker, Benjamin & Anderson should all be on the list, as should Reed & Walker.
I believe Martin, Carson, Booker and Reed were dropped in mine, though I could be wrong about Reed.
The others definitely need to stay.
Even though I'm going to be in this league I have to say something. What are you doing not keeping Mahomes? :cab:
The Chiefs traded away a pretty good QB in order to give the job to Mahomes. I'm also pretty sure Martellus Bennett has retired.
By the way @Dan what's the deadline for the other 2 guys getting the boot?
To give you some perspective Pleb, of the top 100 players for 2018, according to the rankings on Yahoo, only 11 are available in my rookie draft. Only 2 of those (Barkley 15, and Penny 49) are in the top 50. The best available TE is Delanie Walker (89) and the best WR is Nelson Agholor (109) and frankly I'm baffled that either of them were dropped. The top QB is Case Keenum at 158 (which I dropped).
Granted, we allow more keepers than your league does, but not everyone used even close to their allowance. It's going to be slim pickings which is why I'm more than happy to trade the number 8 pick for Russell Wilson.
Fantasy Pros really are a bunch of cunts when it comes to their "premium" services. This year you can't even modify draft picks in a mock draft without paying. Soon it will unusable without upgrading and paying their ridiculous prices. Are there any other mock draft services out there that are better?
Fantasy football calculator does live mocks, and I think they do sim ones too, but they’re not as good as fantasy pros from what I remember
Seems you also have to pay for that, unless you're happy with a 2 round mock.
I mean, it's not a massive deal breaker to the free service, but I liked being able to customise picks to what I thought people would do or play out different scenarios. Taking that away just seems ridiculous.
Half PPR. You should probably read the scoring/roster rules :D
Doing that now :youpi:
Yes we are but not until much nearer the time.
Keepers (Provisional):
Tom Brady (QB)
Jimmy Garoppolo (QB)
Patrick Mahomes (QB)
Ezekiel Elliot (RB)
Kareem Hunt (RB)
Jonathan Steward (RB)
Doug Martin (RB)
Devontae Booker (RB)
Chris Carson (RB)
Torrey Smith (WR)
Robby Anderson (WR)
Jordy Nelson (WR)
Pierre Garcon (WR)
Kelvin Benjamin (WR)
Rishard Mathews (WR)
Jordon Reed (TE)
Delanie Walker (TE)
Chris Boswell (K)
I'm pretty confident in locking in this list.
My keeper list is:
QB- Kirk Cousins, Andrew Luck, Patrick Mahomes
Cut- Case Keenum
RB: Todd Gurley, Le'Veon Bell, Mark Ingram, Jordan Howard, Jerick McKinnon, Derrick Henry
Cut: Samaje Perine, Mike Davis
WR: De'Andre Hopkins, Keenan Allen, Davante Adams, Amari Cooper, Allen Robinson, Devin Funchess, Sammy Watkins, Sterline Shepard, Mike Williams
Cut- Mo Sanu
TE: Hunter Henry, OJ Howard
Cut: Charles Clay, Antonio Gates
DST: Jaguars, Vikings, Ravens
Cut- Bears
K- Lutz
I would have liked to cut another DST, but I'm not convinced I can part with any of those in a Dynasty. The Ravens would be the obvious cut, but I'm really, really not sure why most experts have the Vikings as the 2nd best DST when they were so shite last year, but that makes me not want to part with either the Vikings or Ravens at this point. It would give me a 3rd rounder though so I may have to consider it before the deadline officially passes tomorrow.
I'm not sure I really need Russell Wilson with that set of QBs, but I can't see me getting anything better with the 8th pick, so I'm looking to execute that trade, but the other guy hasn't officially signed off on it yet. If it falls through, I'll probably try and get Tyreek Hill (who has been put on the trade block for a 1st). I've got a player in mind for my 2nd round pick, just need to hope he falls.
Keepers
Tom Brady (QB)
Jimmy Garoppolo (QB)
Patrick Mahomes (QB)
Ezekiel Elliot (RB)
Kareem Hunt (RB)
Jonathan Steward (RB)
Doug Martin (RB)
Devontae Booker (RB)
Chris Carson (RB)
Torrey Smith (WR)
Jordy Nelson (WR)
Pierre Garcon (WR)/Robby Anderson (WR)
Kelvin Benjamin (WR)
Rishard Mathews (WR)
Jordon Reed (TE)
Delanie Walker (TE)
Chris Boswell (K)
Seahawks (D/ST)
I'm toying between Garcon and Anderson at the moment as I decided last minute to keep the Seahawks D/ST over the Bengals. Do I really have round 13 to 30 as my draft picks this year @Dan? :cab:
Keep both Garcon and Anderson. If you need to kick one of those WRs, it's Torrey Smith.
Jonathan Stewart can be cut too. He's not going to see the light of day behind Barkley, and even if he was to get injured, there's plenty of mouths to feed in that run game.
For the benefit of those not in Dans league, assuming there's not a late appearance by the owner, this is the team I'll inherit. Along with the No.1 pick.
QB
Matt Ryan
Jared Goff
Trevor Siemian
Brian Hoyer

Taywan Taylor

TE
Jason Witten
Travis Kelce
George Kittle
D/ST
Texans
Eagles
K
Dan Bailey
I can keep 18 of this lot. 1 decision is already made with Witten retiring. That just leaves 11 more to cut. 1 or 2 tricky decisions to make, but quite a few easy lock ins.
Bottom 2 QBs, 3 RBs and 2 WRs can join Witten straight away as can Beasley. That just leaves 2 more. Easy.
Well Ingram is suspended 4 games & he’s a free agent after the season so you may as well cut him.
You don’t have to keep all 18, by the way. You’ll end up with 30 picks minus however many keepers you select, and assuming the draft works how I think it should you’ll have all the free agents & rookies available.
Mark Ingram could lose a leg and I would keep him due to his heroics last year. Cutting him would put a voodoo curse on my team.
The Wilson trade has been confirmed after another manager declined Wilson + 4th pick for the 1st pick. I then gave up the 8th pick for Wilson. None of the WRs in this class really excite me and my RBs are insanely good, so it made sense to get a sure fire QB. I probably now need to trade one of my other 3 though.
Right, I'm going to clear the inactive owners out tonight. Are you guys agreed on @Gray Fox getting FamBam & @Sir Andy Mahowry getting Pipsquad?
I'm still good with it. Got the app downloaded ready to go on my phone too.
I've also been looking through the draft section. Pleb and another owner it seems have declared their keepers and are now only showing as having picks for 12 rounds. So it does work itself out.
Teams are officially open now.

This is worse than a Pleb draft.
I don't there are going to be many keepers in there.
I've set Roffles, Davante Adams, Sterling Shepard, Cobb, Engram, McKinnon, Drake, Coates and Brate.
Might even cut off those last 2.
Surely you keep Chris Thompson as well?
But yea, a lot of those are awful.
I'm in.
Is there any way for me to see last years draft results?
