Given the market is a shambles right now. There have been two SBC realsed so far based on the event, but they have been awful. I suspect they will realse more with more difficulty requirements and hopefully based on the dutch players. The event ends on June 3. Im taking the small profit i can get on promes 83 now. I have played a few games and I'm not going to be rushing back to play it (the UT version that is). I don't think there's anything wrong with it but having spent so much time on my normal FUT team I don't see any reason to move across.
It seems as if the pack weight is incredibly high. I had Aguero, Firmino, Pogba and David Silva all in my first team. There is an icon SBC which requires a 79 rated team and 50 chemistry.
I will play through a few single player tournaments (offline) but that will be about it for me.

After grabbing TOTS Roussilon from the MMs, I ploughed in 100,000k coins and a tenner (first money spent since FUTMAS now I think), and pulled a very nice haul.
Neymar, 2 x Courtois, Godin, Mbappe, Rakitic, Paulinho, Sterling, Martial, Alba and David Luiz have dropped already. I'll try for two squads I think, although it's annoying I'll have to manually switch in and out as there's no option to create extra squads.
I'll see what the upgrades have to offer once I've worked out the confederations I'm concentrating on.
In the WC mode I keep buying premium packs and getting redeemable gold packs. I'm up to like ten packs without spending a single coin. :harold:

The market crash being this severe has come as a slight shock. I mean, Ronaldo has dropped another 100k since I posted before.
What this has done though is fucked my SBC for profit method. I packed De Bruyne in my last one maybe 5pm or so, he sold for 33 and is now at 24k. Those cards that sold for 2-3k a pop that propped the whole method up, wont sell now.
I just dont know what to do with my coins.

I think ive settled on my end game team now but can't see myself playing for much longer. Favourite players are Wendell and Gnabry who are both superb. Lewa does not feel much different from his gold card, except his strength which is a little bit better. MOTM muller is also a really good card. I brought in Ter Stegen and regret not using him early. He is amazing. He has the save with feet abililty but he also comes for crosses so whenever my opponent has a corner, ive already got triangle held to bring him out. Also works well when they are clean through on goal and the player takes a heavy touch. Stegen comes flying out of goal.
Also have TOTS Kimmich, FUTBDAY Alaba and a few other random cards that didnt make the list.

Late to the party but here nonetheless. Got Vagner Love in my starter pack, which was a bit duff considering I picked Brazil assuming I’d get Firmino. Only saving grace was being able to use the Barcelona home kit. Game forced me to buy a player so I’ve ended up with alberto moreno at left back. So far I’ve played two lost two in offline seasons, and it’s only a matter of time before I switch the type of defending because tapping square to tackle just isn’t happening.
Will orobably sack it off soon anyway to hunt a few of the easy trophies, and then start a World Cup team.

Auoar was very good though. Especially considering he was about 30k. He's tall, fast and packs a quality finish. Max is also a pretty good full back. I could also sell all back now for good profit.
I have a few spare TOTS cards. Keita and Veratti are surplus and I won the DKT for Marcelo, who has much better workrates than Ramos, but either of those I would happily trade too.
I also have that 88 Zaha who doesn't see the light of day now.
I'm waiting to see if they do an Ultimate TOTS SBC. They haven't mentioned one, but we shall see. If not, I'd imagine putting a few of those cards into an Icon SBC or two would vastly reduce the cost. I'd just have to work on getting more than the 20k coins I have.

EA have announced that MUT next season will remove player contracts. I really hope they bring that concept over to FIFA.
I'd love to see a chemistry re-work too. Whilst it is satisfying when you get a good hybrid working, it's too necessary now to have Icons to make it all link up for the very best of teams.
They changed it up in the world cup mode, so hopefully there's some change afoot.
I highly doubt they will bring it to FIFA.
There are tonnes of shit that MUT has (effective searches on the transfer market for one) that have yet to make it to FUT.
The ability to search for a specific card, like you can with Icons, also needs to come in.

Got HAMES Rodriguez back. I had just bought 92 Lewandowski to play as striker, so I'll now try and sell him and am using HAMES up front. He becomes the CAM in a 4-1-2-1-2, should I switch to it.

That 92 Lewandowski I bought isn't shifting. I got him for 55k, which is a bargain. He's now going for about 80k, but no one seems to be buying.
Once he goes, I'll have over 110k with no real clear way to improve the team. The only 2 non-special cards in the team, Boateng and Vidal, have special versions I can afford, but they don't seem to be massive upgrades over what I have.
I don't see a whole lot else I can do, however.
I forgot TOTS Ter Stegen exists so I got him instead. 100k left in the kitty.
Looking forward to the SBC on Tuesday again. There are only 2 players in it that wouldn't be good pulls for me and those are Immobile and Koulibaly. Duplicate Untradeable Ramos or James wouldn't be great, but they'd go right into an SBC.
I did some more Divisions grinding and I'm now in Div 2. I just lost my first game in seasons too.
I'll be grinding to De Ligt tonight and tomorrow. They've upped your wins allowed to 2, so you could do it all in one day. I'm not 100% on if I'll use him, but I have an idea of how to fit him in.
I've been playing online seasons all weekend. Online is all about getting it to the front men as fast as possible, playing the one-two between the three attacking players. It's really annoying and so difficult to stop. If the attackers didnt react so well to the offside trap, it would be a viable tactic but it does not work that well.
My favourite card this FIFA has been the OTW James. It was so good i wasn't even interested in picking up his TOTS version. I packed him and played with him and it's on another level with a marksmen card. His shooting and passing is unreal.
A Win against the featured team, followed by 6-0, 5-1, 4-0 and 8-0 wins on Legendary gave me 12,704 points and put me 24th in the World for Squad Battles at the moment.
Another goal in the 4-0 and not conceding in the 5-1 would have put me over 13k and into the top 10.
Given player prices at the moment, the 65k of coins for finishing in the top 100 is massive - If only I could play a full week.

It's not ideal, but it'd switch to a 4-2-3-1 in game, Fekir as the CAM, Griezmann up front, Doesn't leave me with great options at CDM. I'd need to bring in a French Icon to link it all up. Looks pretty much perfect going forward though.
I've done 15/20 towards Griezmann with a net spend of about 10k.
I only have the non-profitable teams left now. It'll pretty much be all of the coins I have to do it, but then you do get 22k back. I'll be doing them tonight, as after Ultimate TOTS ends, packs will be next to worthless. The slim, slim chance of a blue pull is enough to push it through tonight.
I'm completely bored of the normal mode in this now and I ruined the World Cup mode far too early by spending 300k of coins on packs.
Only thing left to do is go for the grind in a new start of World Cup mode on my other account.

Ive been playing the DKT for the past week. Haven't managed to win it yet but ive got the final 3 times and lost :cab: Whenever I come across a guy who is good, i lose 100% of the time. If the game is competative, i edge out my opponenet. I either steamroll my opponenet or lose clearly

Whilst I was playing the weekend league was extended too, so I may actually give it a crack. There's only 1 player left until my team is done anyway and unless some SBCs come back in regular FUT I doubt I'll play much beyond June.

TOTS Eriksen is just silly. I reckon he's played ten games for me and he's yet to give the ball away. Does everything perfectly, and for some reason seems sturdy as fuck on the ball. Him playing in Son on one side and Rabiot playing in Mbappe on the other is filthy. I genuinely don't even need a striker at this point.
I tried the world cup mode and I just didn't like it. I came straight back to FUT. I imagine all the elite players are playing world cup or have stopped playing altogether. I'm into elite one on SB having missed all games this from tuesday and wednesday.
Also the bronze teams in SB are a lot more common. I'm getting two bronze teams now every other refresh.
5-0 in the WL and then up 6-4 in the 87th minute and my internet spikes me out. I came back from 2-0 down in that game too.

I wouldn't bother with Fekir. I tried him out and he was utter garbage. I got along pretty well with his 87 IF as a midfielder in an earlier version of my team, but I tried the TOTS as a striker and his medium attacking work rate just killed every attack before it got going.
If it's just a chemistry issue you'd genuinely be better off getting Rabiot in there and swapping for Griezmann in game.
Rodriguez has the same workrates as Fekir and I get on quite well with him, though I like my CAM to stay forward.
I contacted EA live chat about the Volland card. As I don't have it and it looks like a pretty beast left footed target man. I asked EA to just give me the card. They told me to go fuck myself.
Does no-one else think all this "moving strikers into midfield" stuff kinda ruins it a bit? It's nice to be able to put someone from say ST -> CAM, but moving them all the way back to CDM is weird. I feel like there should be something like only being able to move them back one "slot" from their original starting position would make sense.
The whole chemistry system needs a revamp. Even in EAs eSports tournaments, the players are set all over the place to ensure chemistry, then paused in minute 1 to switch positions back or formation.Quote:

Brought in TOTS Kane last night to essentially complete my team on this version, the unlikely accumulation of several hundred thousand coins to buy TOTS Azpilicueta aside. He's a bit silly isn't he? Fuck knows what that TOTY thing Mahow has must be like.
The TOTY Kane is probably the best player I've used on any version. He's genuinely brilliant.

FUTBIN reckons you need 150k for Vidals group of SBCs, with 200k for Rashfords group. I don't think any of the smaller players look up to much of yet.
They really should have put Vidal at 80 speed so he's in 'THE CLUB'.
Rashford looks like he'd be a brilliant super sub.

Its a good idea. I would like something similar but you don't actually have to keep and submit the card. Like a sticker album. You get a card, and it goes into the sticker album. You have to get specific cards in order to get a prize.
My time in Div 1 did not go as well as hoped. I needed 1 point to stay up with 2 games remaining. Ended up getting disconnected from both. Just missed out on Div 2 promotion again too.

Unfortunately it doesn't quite work. Neymar has a great finish but isn't physically there. Keita isn't amazing for this stage of the game either. I've sold back up, have the right side of my team still and have 260k before my rewards come in tonight.
Not sure where to go with it. But things I've learned from Div 1 are; De Gea is god. He saves EVERYTHING. Any form of Striker Ronaldo(either one) are unstoppable. Prime Gullit is the best player on the game.

This FIFA has been designed all about attack. If you know what you are doing, the better attackers in the game are just too quick for the defenders. The low driven shot is still too good for almost all goalkeepers too.Quote:

I went with IF Cyprien over Rabiot for pace reasons and he was surprisingly good. Saul was decent, but I can't say I notice much difference between him or a standard Vidal. Switched my team up to get Kante in it and now I'm not sure why I didn't do it sooner. He's amazing.
Managed to scrape survival in Div 1 on the final game again, so changed things up, as I said, got Son into the starting team and bought TOTS Mahrez and TOTS Robertson, birthday Sissoko and got POTM Zaha back in.
Found myself 3-0 down in my first game at half time. Made a couple of changes and then fought back. It lead to this goal.
Went on from that to win the game, then the following 7 games on the bounce. It was a crazy run. Last goal now is really to work Ronaldo or Messi into the team somehow.

FIFA news today is that the 1 nation Weekend League requirement has been removed. This has come due to people finishing in top 100 on 32 wins and a lack of participation.

The interesting thing here is that both Isco and Lozano have been increased beyond their TOTS rating. As such the PTG Isco is now extinct. It's well worth keeping an eye on players like Sterling or Firmino now. If they score it may be worth picking that card up.

If you're using a Premiership side you should get Son in as soon as possible. Any version. Relative to price he's comfortably the best player in the game.
That Kolarov card you've pulled will sell for about 100k coins. If you've no use for him punt him and you can build a full side with several in form players for that.

Ah. Yes he is very good, a noticeable upgrade on my TOTS Matic. Pace and passing being the main differences. I am 11 games unbeaten since bringing him in which is very unusual. I went 7-0-0 in division 3 and now 4-0-0 in division 2.
I packed 90 Okocha in my free jumbo gold pack (won 9 games) and pulled 90 Okocha. I didn't think I had any use for him as I have 95 Eriksen but bringing him on with 20 minutes left to go is a joy. Really like him.

What packs are you all getting these good players from? My mate's just done twenty quid on Jumbo Premiums and the best he got was Pepe Reina.
I just did the Buffon SBC and got an OTW and a TOTY from Cov City from the Jumbo Players and Premium Players packs.
Got Scream Musonda and Khedira in my MM packs.
It's all dependent on the manipulative pack algorithm. For example, I notice I always get better pulls from a new account.
My IF Vrsaljko came from a Premium Gold Squad Battles reward for what it's worth. Got OTW Coquelin from that witches covern SBC too. Both on the same, new account.
I told him to do the gold upgrade thing. Did it four times for eight players in total, two of which were Scream Crouch and TOTS Luiz Gustavo. Scream cards are upgraded at the moment, and Crouch's 87 rating let him finish the Bakayoko SBC. He's delighted.

Doucoure is brilliant. I was using him between TOTS Eriksen and Rabiot in a three man midfield before I got Bakayoko and he was terrific as the destroyer in there. He goes for about fifty pence now though so even though Bakayoko has replaced him I won't be selling.Quote:

I am playing TOTS Batshuayi and Gnabry upfront in my BPL team (7 chem) and they are electric. Picked them up for a combined 75K.
I had Batshuayi as an untradable coming off the bench. For the first few games he was brilliant, then he turned into full donkey mode.
Win 8 online seasons for an untradeable TOTS player. Once you complete the objective it gives you a pack such as 'BPL TOTS PLAYER' 'LA LIGA TOTS PLAYER'. The vast majority seem to be getting a BPL pack.
I pulled Matic which is a shame because he has no place in my team. Still a 92 card I can put into (hopefully) the Jesus futtie SBC.

Does anyone ever take them time to 'train' themselves away from games (ie. doing the skill games / free practice)? I am going to spend some time doing the training games / practice some practical skill moves.
It's hard to gauge your skill when playing purely online but I am not sure I am actually improving.

Martial trumps every LM/LW I have used this FIFA, save for TOTS Neymar. I can assume that FOF Hazard and TOTY Ronaldo are superior as well, and maybe even FOF Alexis, but then you have Futties Martial rounding out the top five LM in FUT at a tenth of the price. I would recommend any FUT Managers on the fence to get this SBC finished before the deadline.

Finished Elite 2 in Squad Battles, so 2 Mega Packs and 25,200 coins to come, which will take me to over 40k in the bank. Would be nice to pull one special player from the packs.
Still not sure whether to sell TotS Sterling or not.

I got the Bristol City TOTS LB, Bryan, in my packs. Looks like a fun player but will just be dumped into a TOTS required SBC at some point.
I bought the World Cup special Harry Maguire the other day and soon realised two things, that although he looks about eighteen feet tall in reality and is a colossus in the air, he's actually six foot two and has poor jumping stats, and that he has ninety nine for both short and long passing. Both seem like a fundamental misreading of his game to me, but he's very good in game and the jumping stat is easily boosted into the upper eighties, so it's fine.
My team requires that the centre back and full back on his side have a strong link, so I brought in TOTS Young to replace IF Alonso and despite his terrific stats he's very shaky defensively.
I think I'll spaff the required twenty thousand coins for the latest IF Josef Martinez to replace IF Callum Wilson as my impact sub, because he looks quite ridiculous at that price.

Thanks to three rage quits I am 5 games through the online seasons thing in about a hour.
I've done 5 games today with 4 wins.
The non-win was a 3-3 draw with me making 3 howling errors. Including having a throw in deep in his half in injury tine, giving the ball to him, having no one back and getting sweated on.
My rinse and repeat way to concede goals when completing that objective was to get a free kick or corner in an advanced position - guaranteed way to lose a goal when ahead.
My players were just all over the pitch bar near our goal.

400 coin cost. You get a few players, a few wank consumables and contracts. But then, fitness cards. Even the single player ones sell for 150/200 coins. Squad ones closer to 1,000.
If you get even a single player fitness card, you've pretty much paid for the pack. Do this several dozen times and suddenly you've a club packed full of contracts and bronze players. You can use them in fitness games, but the real money comes back when they are needed in SBCs, suddenly they sell for hundreds of coins if not thousands.
Then when you get gold contracts, you can sell them on and just use the bronze ones you have loads of. It takes a little extra time to do, but it pays off long term.

Been playing some 19 closed beta through a friend's account and it needs work.
There are a lot of strange bounces/other physics stuff (more so than usual) and shooting at the moment is very ropey. They've also nerfed driven passes and the low driven shot but boosted corner goals.
It is a fun engine though, much like the early one in 18.
Looking at the new features. It looks like they have licences for the top 5 leagues and champions league now. Hopefully, we get POTM for leagues other than the Prem. The amount of ball gobbling the Bundesliga youtube channel does for FIFA the past two years. It would be good to see POTM for Germany.

I fired this up for the first time in about a month last night. All the high rated special cards are super high for whatever reason. I would have thought everything would be super low by now.
