Jeff Beck
My first gig was him and Clapton. I hadn't listened to Beck much but he was incredible. Maybe the best guitar performance I've ever seen.
The better Beck lives on.
Mikkel?
Lisa Marie Presley.
Rushed to hospital earlier after a cardiac arrest.
Another vaccine related death.
David Crosby.
Somebody who always came across (at least to me) as a little bit of an arsehole and at times something of a walking cliche but I also couldn't help but sort of begrudgingly like.
The Byrds and CSNY too. It's not a bad track record is it. Plus "Almost Cut My Hair" is legitimately one of my favourite songs ever.
Here's a perfect example of this:
Being a complete knob but also hilarious.
I have no idea who he is but I'm glad he's dead.
Renee Walker in 24 taken out by cancer at 45. :uhoh:
Bollocks. She was also the Borg queen recently in Picard. What a shit disease.
She was good in Bosch too. Obviously it's a massive cliche but really no age to go.
Tom Verlaine also went a couple of days ago, albeit at the slightly more acceptable (but still quite young in the grand scheme of things) age of 73. We talk about people being "influential" and it's over used but the influence Television had on so much music that came after them is difficult to overstate. Marquee Moon really is a near-perfect album.
She was also Tess in the Last of Us (the game). Timing.
Lanny Poffo.
That story about Hulk Hogan walking in on him sucking his own cock for the locker room is a top ten rasslin' yarn.
John Motson
Didn't get anywhere near enough reaction this one lads. I'm letting Jimmy off for being abroad and probably missing, but the rest of you have no excuse.
I expect better when Clive dies.
Motson was the best of them all. Just commentated on the action. No bullshit.
He was ok. Barry Davies was better.
One of the worst commentators in history.
Content wise, Motty was pants. But in terms of tone/delivery, he was masterful. Probably why he ended up on TV. Same logic as Murray Walker.
What a horrible bunch of bastards you are. Shame.
And Jim Ross, I guess.
Let’s have it: Best sports commentator of all time?
For me there is only one answer, and it’s Joe Rogan.
Mauro Ranello during the NXT days.
He sometimes went a bit overboard especially with the "Mamma Mia"'s but when he was on form he enhanced so many matches.
Greg Olsen was also becoming my favourite NFL commentator (but he's sadly going to be replaced by dickhead Tom Brady), during a Thanksgiving game he got incredibly passionate about a Turducken which was quality.
Motty

Henry Blofeld.
The correct answer as stated above is Barry Davies.
Richie Benaud :nodd:
Barry Scott.
In terms of football, Motson's top. Barry Davies wasn't on FIFA. If I'm talking all sports:
1) Murray Walker
2) Peter Alliss
3) Ted Lowe
4) John Motson
5) Barry Davies
6) Toby Moody and Julian Ryder (It's a package deal)
Brian Moore and Peter Alliss.
Hang on, I get Barry Davies and Brian Moore confused. Barry Davies is somehow still alive.
Peter Alliss for me, what a voice too.
Forgot Waddell. Legend.
Murray Walker obviously by miles if we're talking all sports, but Benaud is up there too. I always found Peter Alliss a bit of a stuck-up bore.
Tom Sizemore basically dead, 61.
Mystic Meg.
*please insert obligatory "she didn't see that coming" joke here*
Wouldn't have guessed she was 80, but I guess the lottery started a long time ago now and she was obviously older than I imagined at the time.
Of course, King of TV Noel Edmonds.Quote:
The first draw took place on 19 November 1994 with a television programme presented by Noel Edmonds.
Lance Reddick :(
Damn. :(
The Wire is starting to look like one of those cursed TV shows.
Fuck :(
That's no age to go at either.
In further terrible news, Sam Neill has just announced he has likely incurable blood cancer too.
