James signed for Everton for free as Banfield chased R.Madrid for a percentage of the fee, but Madrid told them there wasn't any.
:D
How could they have a sell-on fee? Hasn't he been through Porto and Monaco since leaving them? Or is this some sort of default thing that feeds the money back down the chain in all transfers? (I've not played FM for over a decade)
If FM is anything to go by then you get tiny percentages for ever and ever, as 'solidarity payments' or something.
Yeah, I saw that mentioned in an article and assumed that'd be something that a working knowledge of more recent FMs would help with.
I think so. I'm sure I've read of a few transfers where the first club get a big kickback later on for the 2nd or 3rd transfer.
If they can find contractual loopholes to get round UEFA's manky eye, you'd imagine getting past Claudio's 2-man high street solicitor office in Banfield would be light work.
You shouldn't. It's shit. (You probably learned this much sooner than I did if you haven't played in a decade.)
It's good but only if you have endless hours to throw at it. I had a great run in lockdown but haven't had time for like 2 months now.
Romano saying "a left back and winger will arrive" for Utd which is interesting.
Sancho and Telles would be the dream.
Paul Konchesky and Luke Chadwick.
Thiago is fully official.
Bit strange having ostensibly peak career top, top players actively wanting to come to play for Liverpool, rather than leave them, as has always been the case previously.
Transfer fee looks a steal too.
For his uniqueness and playstyle, he is a bargain.
12 months from now, we’ll all be this unsurprised when Liverpool sign Mbappe.
I've had premium top of the line whores whilst 20 jagers down that have done less for me than those pics of Thiago in our kit. Alhamdilulah.
How many assists did he get last season again? :harold:
Thiago Lingard.
I now see Ki-Jana Hoever is being linked with a £10m move to Wolves.
Always thought he looked decent, but, as a rightback I guess he has about as much chance of getting into the Liverpool team as I do. Liverpool then being linked with Jota does make it seem like there are some sort of shenanigans going on.
Thiago being fluent in English and having a slight American twang has thrown me. Maybe he can give Firmino a few lessons.
Only upon clicking on his wiki now do I discover that he is the son of good old Mazinho. Not lived up to his dad's career as yet tbh.
Jota to Liverpool for £35m then Ki-Jana Hoever to Wolves for £10m is the word on the street.
I don’t rate Jota one bit so I hope it goes through. And Sarr, lol.
Yeah that Klopp fella is useless when buying attacking players.
I never saw Sarr much for Watford, other than him doing well against Liverpool, but always thought he looked handy for Senegal.
No idea about Jota. I suppose age and versatility come into it when he's clearly being brought in as a 'squad player'. I guess the £35m is justified against Wolves buying Hoever for £10m (:cab:) and him probably not wanting insane wages. For a long time I thought he was the Brentford one, but that's a different Jota isn't it?
I’m not doubting his ability to coach them into excellence whatsoever.
We have the Brentford one. He's shit.
He might thrive in our set up. I can't say I've watched Wolves too much but they seem tactically a little rigid. Hopefully he suits a bit more of an attacking game.
Jota is a one-on-one machine, 35 million looks like Salah levels to me. What is every other club's recruitment department doing?
The fact Wolves fans don’t seem that arsed says a lot. I’m sticking with Liverpool third or 4th.
He’s Dirk Kuyt. He’s 90% off the ball.
Hold on, surely it's only one of them, right? (In which case obviously Sarr). If we fucking replace Brewster and Origi with both of them will we actually fail to win a single game for the next 7 years?
Why are Liverpool fans obsessed with Sarr? Because he’s Mane’s best mate?
I think it's quite clear why Taz loves him.
Will Hughes is quality to be fair, he would be my Hojberg replacement.
Getting donned by an albino doesn’t do his Taz Mandingo points very good
Bouhafsi and Romano saying Utd agreed terms with Telles, negotiating a fee with Porto
I know we've been here before, but, that's the wrong way round and who the fuck doesn't agree terms with United (other than Thiago, natch)?
You want to pay me how much?
Edit, I see that same super sauce bellwhiff is saying the same about Jota and Liverpool (agrreing terms etc), and again, yeah, like who is going to say no thanks I'll stay with Wolves in that situation?
Here we go!
He looks like a fanny and he's been in Portugal for four years via Turkey. I've already written him off.
Some embittered Chelsea webthing has a story about Thiago basically asking for 50%+ more wages off anyone other than Liverpool (lol) although the same I'm sure immaculately sourced piece has him as being Liverpool's top paid player now, on a par with Salah I think at £200k-a-week (hmmmm).
Jota is done already(sorry Taz).
