What a great sport this is.
Not hello. :moop:
That offside
He fully stops in the run up there.
That offside ffs.
Games gone. Disgraceful.
And there were people thinking automation would help, it's actually making things worse.
Glorious lightning doesn't strike twice commentary there by Clive.
Thing is, if you are going to use the tech like that, then the rules would need an overhaul. Half of your toenail being offside gives no advantage. The ball accidentally grazing your hand while you are running should not cost your team a goal. Those two things caused Denmark a two goal gap. That is fucking insane.
Havertz
It's amazing how great and how shit Havertz can be within seconds.
That is pure class.
Atleast we know how England are getting knocked out now.
Being glued to his line has always been a bit of a problem for Kasper Schmeichel. Modern sweeper keeper deals with that no problem at all.
I fucking hate var.
Team confirmed yet?
Excellent start by ITV's coverage pointing out that "the players" might want to do more. Pleasing to see at least one media outlet are supporting Gareth and asking the right questions.
Dino Arms
Walker, Guehi, Stones, Trippier
Rice, Mainoo, Bellingham
Foden, Kane, Saka.
Far be it from me to question Sir Gareth but I'm worried by Mainoo starting. We needed the experience of a TAA or a Conor Gallagher in there. Now is not the time to be taking risks, but I'm sure Gareth's factored this into his thinking though and we'll be fine as a result. Very pleased to see we've retained continuity down the left hand side. Excellent Gareth, excellent.
No risk in picking the best option of the three he has tried so far imo.
Mainoo will free up Rice to double the amount of backwards and sideways passes he makes.
I don't mind Mainoo starting, my issue is no left back, and no changes going forward.
ITV are doing a bit of hatchet job on Southgate now. They see Phil Foden passing the ball to Harry Kane once in 3 games as genuinely unbelievable and a symptom of diabolical attacking play. I see it (and I'm sure Gareth would too) as a wide man who knows retaining possession of the ball is the most important thing. He's well drilled and doing what he's told. Again, excellent from Gareth.
He's breaking up a very successful and winning midfield that contributed to us only conceding one goal in 300 minutes. Like I said, I'm sure he knows what he's doing but I'm worried that Mainoo's dynamism, surging runs and ability to pass the ball forward will upset the momentum of the team.
:D
Can't wait to see DS hyper-neggy now.
Don't worry lads.
It's coming home.
Are we going to have to sit through one more super crab display before we start turning it on and taking the tournament by storm or can that start today?
A rate of one position improved per game might just work out by the time the final comes around.
Presumably Shaw will be 'fit to start' at some point before then.
Fucking hell he's such a simp. He probably takes the morning after pill after a wank.
The idea of Mainoo being in the team to free up Rice is genuinely terrifying.
Pickford hurting a wrist in warmup, lol.
Get Ramsdale in Gareth.
Is it a bit, so Kobbie, I've seen you've been brave on the ball, good in tight spaces, progressing the ball well, all that of the moment wank, so, what I want you to do is sit here and cover for Declan as he unleashes his own particular brand of marauding attacking midfield play. Are you familiar with Kalvin Phillips?
All this "not being disrespectful but..." is going to make the defeat absolutely glorious.
That statistic :D
Excellent. Only player to have played well this far suspended for the next game. Top work from Trippier
Lol good start.
I know I bleat on about this all the time.. but a 1 game ban for 2 yellows over 4 games is ridiculous. Also, why are Trippiers, Fodens and Sakas first touches ALWAYS backwards?
