Have a :chief: @Ian.
Can only squeeze maybe one more game in before bed and then tomorrow I've agreed to go for a couple of beers after work.
:panda:
Should have stopped then. Was 2-0 up against Southampton in my FA Cup quarter final replay going into the last ten minutes, got taken to extra time and then went out on penalties. Hate ending a session on a shit result.

Ello. I was thinking - would anyone fancy a succession game at some point? Maybe wait for 16 now, but it could be a nice way to revitalise interest in the game.
So after being unemployed following resigning at Liverpool, the Ajax job came along 2 months later. Turns out they haven't won the league in over 15 years.

Just started with Lens. Picked up this guy for £300 (yes, just £300!). He's the balls.

Haven't actually played since my last update but United playing the Saturday lunchtime slot have just drawn at Old Trafford with 20th place West 'Aaaaam.
Could do with Chelsea screwing up at the Villa because I'm probably going to lose at Anfield on the Sunday.
EDIT: Oh shit, Chelsea lost at Villa.
WOBBLE ALERT
Nabbed a draw with Liverpool (equalised once in first half injury time and then in the 88th minute) at Anfield but then had my game in hand against midtable Fulham. Rested a couple of players as a matter of necessity. Lost 2-0.
I'm top, which is the main thing, but only by a point.
Think I'll be finishing this season tonight. The tension is unbearable.
EDIT: Bent Arsenal over to win 4-0 and keep top spot. Four games to go. Stadium of Light up next.

Sunderland hovering above 18th as well. Imagine this match in real life.
Chucked away a two-goal lead against Sunderland to draw 3-3 only for Chelsea to ruin their chance to go top and draw 0-0 at 16th-placed Blackburn. United in shit form too.
This is absolute agony.
Right then, chaps. Here's how it stands going into the last day.
1st - Newcastle (86 pts, 49 GD) - at home against 6th-place Southampton (who, lest we forget, I chucked two two-goal leads in my FA Cup quarter and replay against recently...)
2nd - Chelsea (85 pts, 63 GD) - Away at 5th-place Man City
3rd - Manchester United (83 points, 40 GD) - Away at 15th-place Leicester
DRAMA. Wish me luck, mates. If you're here, Fox, ready the gifs for either outcome.

3 points clear, a total breeze.
'Grats Ian.
This victory was satisfying. Currently 5th in the overall MLS standings.

My first game after joining was against Utrecht. Still miles behind my former club Feyernord who are top.

I hate those sort of starts, Smiff. I feel like I don't usually get good form early on so a tricky start always feels like a shitty omen to me,
Is America a ballache to manage in or do you get used to the transfers and shit soon enough?
That was pretty much me once the third went in.
Anyway, here's the squad and their basic stats for the year:

Reece Taylor quickly earning a starting XI spot at the start of the year and getting the highest average rating for the season is proper fairytale stuff given he's 20 years old and born in Newcastle.
Your assistant doesn't think much of Tielemans. I thought he was always quality a few years in?
So what's the plan now, Ian? Champions League win the aim?
Youri is a -9/-10 PA player. His ability is generated each time you start a new game so he can turn out to be the best player in the game, or just another good midfielder.
Another title win and the long-term goal of the Champions League, yeah.
As for Tielemans, he's had plenty of opportunity but he just hasn't progressed that much. My coaching is good and he's played a fair bit, it's just not really worked. He hasn't once threatened to break into my first choice XI.
Anyway, some of you guys have had relatively aged versions of Ronaldo and Messi. Do they still do the business? Messi at 34, a reduction in pace aside, still looks astonishing and my scouts reckon I could have him for a few million and a massive wage.
EDIT: Nope, he wants, like, £400k plus about £10m between him and his agent. Sorry, Lionel.
I've got both at my Utd team and they're still both immense.
If my transfer budget was north of £100m I'd probably have done it anyway.
Still in my first season so can't comment just yet. It's certainly... unique. This guide helps: http://www.squawka.com/news/football...s-guide/236254
His fitness hasn't been an issue for me. And were I still struggling to qualify for the Europa he'd probably be great but he doesn't do nearly enough when it matters.
Seemingly the RNG has screwed me on this one.

Just kicked off my first season with Celtic, won all friendlies, just won my 1st leg qualifying for CL. Stokes is doing really well so far. Bought in Jay Bothroyd as back up on a free transfer.
Oh and what are the release dates for FM16 and the beta?
FM16 is the 13th November with the Beta(usually) out 2-3 weeks earlier.
Liverpool have just SWOOPED for Celtic manager......... Paul Dickov.
That little arsehole Ayoze Perez, who spent at least two years for me mooching about being a disinterested pleb, scored 36 goals for Malaga last season and has now joined Man City so he's fucking nailed-on to score past me. Still, I got £2m out of it.
Not much doing in the summer so far, have signed a new left-wing back and am trying to get rid of Alcacer.
Just done a complete about-face and signed Messi for a disgusting contract. :D / :uhoh:
Got rid of Tielemans and Alcacer and have brought in some cash with sales from some plebs and some clauses of players I got rid of before.
Last few preseason friendlies, just beat Espanyol 2 -1, all played well Stokes getting the winner. Beat AaB 4 - 0, Stokes scoring first, but getting injured, this was the CL Third qualifying leg.
.....
Apparently Messi is excited about our chances in the Community Shield.
First league game, beat Partick Thishle 2 - 0.Denayer and Bilton score. Average ratings, but got the job done.
So yeah, the lack of pace doesn't stop Messi being pretty damn good. 3 goals and 6 assists in 5(4) appearances so far.
Kenedy has also got off to a beast of a start, with 12 goals by the 1st October.
Signing old Messi is so much fun on this game.
Not a bad start to my first full season at Ajax, considering how average they have been before i joined.
It's very much a 3 horse race.

These were my summer transfer dealings.

This chap is my new signing over the summer, but he's yet to do anything that noticeable. Great name though.

But, this man is on fire. My star strike. Another good name.

Humberto is a peach of a name.

I hope this FM Touch is good when it comes out. My laptop is fucked and I can't justify a new one. What I've read about it sounds promising.
Toyed with the idea of starting a new game, but with FM16 imminent there's little point.
So continuing the journeyman game it is. Can't find anyone to buy having joined Man Utd and the board haven't offered me any objectives either with which to set the transfer budget (despite it being 20th July), so I just won't bother.
The squad should be good enough to get top 4 as it is.
