If only. Makes Fabinho look downs.
The Arsenal home looks nice and the rumoured Arsenal away looks so bad I have to hope its a joke.

Apologies for image size disparity. Two cracking away kits here. Carlisle home is also nice.

Looks rubbish, and the blurb that comes with it is just as bad.
The original season was a belter though. Cantona's comeback game up there as one of the best. Don't make 'em like Robbie Fowler [or Cantona for that matter] anymore.Quote:
The jersey features the green and white quarter pattern with black collar and cuff, updated with a digital effect treatment layering tonal greens – green spark, poison green and pine green – for a modern twist.
Yup, fucking ugly, as per last season's away shirt. Nike are doing well to fuck this up every season.
Would love a plain white one. Basically a Spurs kit (or the England women’s kit) with the Liverpool badge (preferably not just a liverbird) on.
I mostly like the shirt. The thing I don't like about their designs is that curve that goes from around the armpit up under the collar and back down again.
However again it irks me as it's Nike doing a 'throwback' kit to one that was made by Adidas.
https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cp...29_image-1.jpg
All that picture needs is DJ Spoony and Graham Rix to complete the perfect bullshit marketing aesthetic.
Their whole campaign is about the 90s and it’s the least 90 s looking shirt ever. Probably designed by a tranny born in 2004.
Umbro are producing some sexual kits
https://www.venuetoolbox.com/cambrid...3C212D7775.jpg
The Arsenal kit is so bad I almost want us to flame out so they bin it. It's Chelsea as fuck.
Yet somehow still better than the United one.
I googled this when you first posted it and just saw the home kit, which I thought was fine so wasn't understanding your seethe. However, I've just seen a picture of Havertz from last night and now realise you must have been talking about the away kit. Fucking hell it's one of the worst of all time.
They're showing Nike how proper 90s nonsense is done

Didn't they do the same last year where they had home kit in blue and away kit in slightly darker blue?
That is a thing of beauty.
Someone link an Asian knockoff ASAP.
There seems to be a few shirts this year where the promo shots have been edited so much that the real thing looks way different. Some Liverpool hoodies had the same issue.
The Man Utd away shirt suffers from it, too. Described in the media as dark green and off white, the actual shirt looks way more like black and white.
https://gyazo.com/8323dd4f01c0aa4cbc908322d35f267d.jpeg
It's just studio lighting vs daylight, no?
United's shirts have been blighted by their sponsors for years now.
The left shot is clearly a well-lit studio shot vs. some random youth in an actual match. There are two versions of the kit though, one is the "pitch ready" or some other euphemistic bollocks which is like £120 :cab:
It's white and gold.
All I see is a floating sponsor and club badge.
That kind of nonsense isn't allowed in the Championship. Flamingo Land arm sponsor though, in you come sir
Did Flamingo Land design it?
Head in the sand stuff.
Nah, you're thinking of ostriches.
The new Man Utd third kit is unfortunately pretty nice.
https://gyazo.com/7c9c99b0b3a83f079f887b435f9739bc.jpeg
Does it have stripes down the sleeves?
I always think it's odd [and loads of teams do this] when a 3rd kit [that one looks all white] is substantially similar to the away kit [assuming that's what the dark green/black and white kit of theirs is]. I suppose if the other one has dark shorts it isn't too similar.
I prefer it when, for example, Liverpool run a red kit, white kit, yellow kit set-up. All obviously different.
In other alternate kit news Brighton's black and green one might be worse than their all green effort from a season ago.
I don't think is has stripes:

Looks like a Liverpool kit.
:D
Announcing them as a sponsor was the exact moment I really felt like the short-lived Premier League era was over.
I assume we had it designed before we took them on as a sponsor but they must be loving it. It does very much appear like it's a Flamingo Land specific shirt doesn't it. :D
Leeds is doing some sort of wanky "Year of Culture" thing at the moment (they basically lost out on being the official city of culture and made their own up) and the colour scheme for that is similar. So I think it could be linked to that somehow.
The best effort I've seen this year is from Roma.
You can't fuck up a Roma kit. Possibly the best colour scheme in the game, though I'm fond of Venezia too.
That Leeds kit is banging.
I'm not as keen on this year's Venezia effort
€100. :cab:
They really have donned the market for some nothing club to be such an authority on nice kit designs. I got 2 last week to bring my collection to:

Yes please.
Would also like to know this one.
If by legit you mean you need to overpay, just drop me a PM with size and number/name requirements and I'll have it to your door for whatever price above the £14 DHGate charge that comforts your consumerist heart.
Much like Chelsea, we're also paying tribute to a classic worn by Zola and the lads in the 90s
https://i.imgur.com/FrvnuZd.jpeg
https://i.imgur.com/dXNF5kI.jpeg
Some kits should stay in the past.
Zola played for Coventry?
Did they not have to wear it due to a kit fuck up on their part or something?
They only brought their blue home kit for an away game with a team who wore a mainly dark blue home kit which seemed a bit silly. In Zola's autobiography though he said that although they lost that night he fulfilled a boyhood dream of wearing a Cov kit under the bright lights of Highfield Road. Admittedly my Italian's not the best but that's the gist I got.
Frank Leboeuf also had a big wobbly at full time and threw it to the ground which was a lovely touch
O'Neills
All over that.
I've not liked an England kit for decades, but if this is legit... Big fan.

Dreadful. Home kit is decent though.
I like that England one.
This is one of the worst ones I've seen in a long time.
That England one is too nice to be legit, but if it is I'd be tempted to buy my first England shirt since about 1999.
Not a fan of the new Vissel Kobe home shirt, especially the long sleeved.

Looks like it belongs to a Formula 1 driver.
You know what... I don't like it. No idea why I thought I liked it. #180
It’s too busy. Lose the two logos above the club crest and the manufacturer and it’d look ace.
Aye, that's it. It's all kinda pushed up top.
There is literally nothing to commend about that shirt.
Long sleeved football shirts are for wrong uns.
I love that it took less than an hour for JA to do a complete 180.
:D Fucking peer pressure done me in.
I fucking hate the shirt.
You know, on second viewing, I kinda like it...
Not as nice as their old Eddy Merckx inspired one, but still decent.
It probably also looks awful on a white skinned ginger, like Tin Tin.
De Bruyne must have refused to model it.
I used to get all the Tintin books from the library and I'm naturally drawn to sky blue and brown so I want Belgium to win the Euros now.
wullie’s snide shirt with Clement 18 on the back will turn up the day after the final.
That colour should really be Belgium's home kit. Famous from cycling and who wants yet another red team.
I should get one with Albert on the back.
Norway with a really nice nod to Thailand with this effort.
Looks like it would clash with basically every other colour shirt.
Looks like a Marvel costume.
Doesn't matter what it clashes with as they won't be playing a meaningful match any time soon.
The England ones look good for the first time in 20 years.
Looks like a USA kit
:D
Some top commenting in there, as you would expect.

Re-release Zulu and let him have a wank.
Interesting rabbithole to wander down.
Think he's a Brighton fan. :face:
Make it a rainbow shirt with a little red cross on it.
Germany switching to Nike feels wrong and dirty.
That looks shite, and some premuim to get the sponsorless version too.
Actually it's the extra €55 just for the player "fit". You can't actually by one without Sky on it.
140€ ffs :D
Especially when it'll fall apart as per full Castore spec.
Castore have got everywhere so quickly that it must be some kind of scam.
Their kits are shite too.
The shorts are the price I last remember buying a jersey for :face:
How much are the socks?
At the deeper end he's probably right more often than not, but the cunt is too dumb to articulate anything.

Someone reposted the "Ian Rush signs for Everton" cover of Shoot today and I had to check his wikipedia page. :D
I don't think football was ever better than when I used to rush down to WH Smith to get the new Shoot every week. Say, 1996-98, or the general 'what has David Beckham done now' era. I'd probably moved onto Four Four Two by 2000 and then, in my gauche early teen phase, World Soccer.
Such pleasures denied today's younglings who just watch some wam blam YouTube video by an influencer. Thanks for the thoughts grandad.
Official magazines never should've died out. Sometimes you want to know how an on-loan Argentinian is adapting to life on Tyneside. In print.
I have a troubled relationship with Magazines. On the one hand, I cracked out many a wank over a 30p Zoo/Nuts magazine. We never reached the peak of Sandmans Maddy prediction and I hold out some hope of a Shamima reboot, but it won't be the same.
And it won't be the same because it will either be the thickness of an Argos catalogue, 97% adverts or it will cost £6 a copy. Just as my son and daughters magazines did when I last agreed to buy them one, expecting them to cost a quid or two. Bastards.
I was a more of a Match man myself. IIRC it took more of a sideways look at the game which I enjoyed as an 8 year old.
I don't know what happened to Adidas but next years kits are ABYSMAL.

https://i.imgur.com/X8OSPYk.png
That home kit should be burned. Fucking hell.
It looks like a ProEvo kit of that Giroud-era Arsenal if they didn't have the rights.
The most anti-muzzie club [now that Millwall have some ethnics in their highly successful youth team] trying to get in on the Palestine cause. You love to see it.
Liverpool are ditching Nike for Adidas in a year. Not sure what’s worse!
Adidas are bound to try and riff on that massive fluffy collar kit they made in the Collymore closing in! era if I understand modern kit design.
New Balance nailed that already in 2017. Best kit we’ve had in ages.
https://classicfootballkit.co.uk/cdn...g?v=1700238344
Not even close that original one was a belter. Fowler 23 on the back. He just used to score every fucking week being 11 years old I just assumed that was what all strikers did.
Little did I know that since he’s left I’d sit through Heskey, Diouf, Morientes, N’Gog, Voronin, Lambert, Balotelli and Borini to name a few. That’s just the really shite ones as well I haven’t even touched on the not quite as shit.
Bit harsh on Heskey there, he had one-and-a-half or so seasons of pretty good goalscoring before turning into more of a proto-Dirk Kuyt workhorse (and meme in an England shirt, I guess).
I still reckon our best home kit recently was this darker red one in 19/20, normal collar and nice colour. Light red really doesn't look good.
https://gyazo.com/3a7ae6fcd71af9ff0c15ea1fee436159.jpeg
And I really like the trim colour on the following year's...
https://gyazo.com/0292450c5c41463160473a2033388644.jpeg
The green, red and black trim is quite nice... but the weird b&w tie-dye print is just odd.
Arsenal having blue stripes on their shirt is simply not acceptable.
It's hard to think of any interesting features on modern home kits, but that could just be me having much less interest in it all. That seems to have been a thing which has gone in the homogenisation of kit design. Is there a single feature of a modern Man City kit, for example, that anyone can remember as being interesting in the oeuvre of the Liverpool big collar or the United sleeves on that kit from whenever? What an abomination, but also an enduring, dare I say now ICONIC, design
That stupid black and yellow hazard stripe City had as a 'tribute' to the Hacienda.
Was that on a home kit though? Away kits are obviously more ripe than ever with shit like dragons and all sorts of other offensive wank, like being in the colours of a rival.
The dark blue area is quite nice, but the glossy light blue is awful.
Nice shade of red with pin stripes, but the collar is so shite... I get the "tribute" to the old massive collar.. but it just doesn't work.
Yeah, good red, good use of yellow, just go all in on the collar if that's the design you are stealing. Can't help but think that is motivated by Adidas taking over duties soon.
How do they keep getting it wrong? Looks like 3 different shirt ideas were had but they couldn't agree so they did parts of all.
I look forward to Vigil Van Dijk as Inspector Clouseau though.
Or is that more of an Open All Hours get up?
That's a nice Liverpool kit although the Hairy Hungarian could don anything and I'd say the same. What a man.
New Crewe Alex home shirt is a bit of a banger. Nice deeper shade of red, and classic twist on the club crest. And everyone loves Mornflake's.

Skip hire company on the sleeve as well, proper football.

I need a second to recover from the slow, moody Blaydon Races. I fucking hate advertising. :D
That Sela sponsor really is abhorrent. Villa going Adidas as well for the foreseeable future so fingers crossed they don't fuck things up.
I haven't bought one since the Wonga days. I don't think we've had a really, really good one since 2000. I was in a Sports Direct yesterday just to eye up their England shirts. £85 is extortionate.
Sorting the spreadsheet for the Euro 2024 comp has really highlighted how many nations play in red kits with white detail. According to the FM colours, at least.
Poland, Czechia, Serbia, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, Türkiye, Denmark, Portugal.
There needs to be a limit on the above. Either get new colours, or they should all be ringfenced into one qualifying group.
I'll let Poland off as they reverse the colours.
Doesn't help that so many teams now also just have boring solid colours.
Croatia won't be long, they started with a unique kit but slowly they're zooming in year by year

Why are Nike pumping out such bad kits these days?
Looks like a school PE kit
There is obviously some kind of commercial benefit in pivoting every team towards a standard block colour shirt with a shit collar. I'm yet to see it, however.
Crystal Palace:

Should be kicked out the league.
As a rule of thumb, if it's not Castore it's ok.
Phantom sponsors? Is this 90's F1?
Nike are re-releasing the 1998 Brazil kit. I’ve mentioned it before that I wore it to death as a kid. Want to do the same now? That’ll be £124.99 please and you have to download their SNKRS app for the pleasure.
Is it any wonder we end up turning to the likes of DH Gate where it’s £14?
I'm sure they'll try and chalk it up to INFLAYTION or whatever other bollocks. I saw Liverpool telling everyone to blame Nike for the price hikes on our kits too.
I don't think I've got a non-DH Gate kit for years now.
This post about it on Reddit shows the absurdity:
Quote:
In Brazil, the main market for this jersey obviously, it's $900 local currency. The minimum wage is $1.400 before tax.
Good luck Nike.
I preferred their 1994-1996 one. Think I had a later generation of it with the 4 stars on.
Can’t be arsed linking them but Madrid’s new 3rd kit and Frankfurt’s new kit are both gems
Hardly. Sunderland Home is the best effort I've seen to date.
Decided to add to my existing collection of Corinthians shirts and ordered the new blackout away kit:

Yeah it’s a stinker. Their third kit is class though.

Nike done that on a few third kits this season, including Liverpool.
I think you’re thinking of their away kit.
How have Warrington gone from these beauties:

To these atrocities:
Yeah, wow, the Chelsea kit is appalling. It's like someone found a "how to make cool smoke patterns in photoshop" tutorial.
That's a proper 'surprise relegation' outfit.
We've gone for the perfect combination of lovely simple but not too plain kit, and absolute waffle to explain it
Love a hummel effort. Denmark '86 will never be topped.
That looks very good.
A mix of the Dolphins in there but this one is a looker.
Would make a decent Germany away kit.
Feels very similar to their 1990 offering.
Yes, I can see men wearing that to a drug deal.

Not sure how to feel about that Leeds away effort.
Those kits are almost universally horrific. Not a looker in the bunch.
Anyone wearing Latina Calcio should be put down. I assume that's for people who are too cool for Venezia now or whatever.
I'm facing major kit difficulties now as my son is getting into football and so is doomed to the eternal Ronaldo or Messi debate accompanied by a desire for a plethora of dreadful deathstar kits.
"Who does Ronaldo play for?"
I've been wearing my CD Palestino shirts quite a lot lately. Lovely stuff.
https://gyazo.com/90d5542c26dcc3f8eb74383a647bf6ac.jpeg
Problem with the Leeds kit is it looks like they've become RB Leeds.
And is that Comic Sans on the City numbering?
Farke sacked in November. Rangnick in as interim. Hasenhuttl on a permanent deal.
Venezia no longer have a sponsor or kit manufacturer so they're currently trotting about in a plain black shirt with just their logo on.
As you can expect demand now suddenly high for this.
Also have two boys and I have one that is team Messi and one team Ronaldo, so I feel this pain. I'd consider DH Gating them a Messi one, but rapey boy isn't happening.

@Baz that will go nicely with your shorts.
Apparently I won a Redditch shirt by posting on Reddit (who sponsors Redditch United.) I could choose which one so I went for the blue away one cos the home red one is boring and I couldn’t find a pic of the white third kit.
Such a pity there’s a Bohs crest on that beaut.
