Well that’s that then. If you are overweight at 30 you may as well embrace the heart disease and diabetes. No point trying to do something about it.
Nah not true. Control what you eat, do a bit of exercise, stay alert.
Also I’ve just read that in Scotland they will be able to go and sit in other peoples gardens from this week?
Same as everywhere but England, no?
We can here too but you can only travel 5km to do so. 20km from June 18th and hopefully I can go home to sit outside from the end of July. Fairly shitty that it only benefits people that live within 5km of their family.
You can meet in parks and meet up with friends or whatever they announced. That’s the first phase in Scotland which starts on Friday. We’re officially still on lockdown but you’re allowed going for exercise more than once a day.
You can currently meet one other person in a park, but not in someone's garden, unless it's Robert Peston.
I could play golf with my mate the other night for 4 hours, but I can't have dinner with my parents in their garden.
Yeah we can meet in gardens with another household or sit in a park from Friday. No idea how long each phase lasts but phase 3 will see normality restored
The media here are furiously pulling the fronts out of themselves running stories about the “new normal” of pubs being about family gatherings centred around food and drinking in them becoming a thing of the past. Aren’t those restaurants?
One thing that struck me during the press conference earlier was the sort of chaos that must have descended around the time when Boris was seemingly at death's door, Cummings was decamping to the north east, and half the other people in the government were struck down by it. Must have been a rudderless mess and is still probably directly contributing to the subsequent shambles.
I'm trying to think how many of them were actually tested. Was it literally just Boris who had confirmed Covid?
Ah, yes. I think Hancock went down and that left Raab and Rishi for the briefings for a few days.
Looooool
That's a bit odd without any footnote. It seems to have been done the day he got back to London, so let's give it six months to see whether it's a long-form troll.
To Lewis and others: are the self-isolation requirements (for if you believe you have symptoms) just NHS/government guidelines, or are they somehow enshrined in the Coronavirus-related legislation (i.e., the same legislation that says you can't have a gathering of more than x number of people)?
Last night I dreamed that Dom was controlling the spread of the virus by tinkering with the genome on an excel sheet and typing in names to kill. He's in my head too.
"Take that, Bernard Castle!"
Next door had a full blown party yesterday, with at least three other households all in their house and garden.
Spread it more, please. I don’t wanna go back to working in the office until at least October, cos I like sunbathing too much.
Had a glorious piss-up yesterday and I can safely say the Cum-effect led to scenes yesterday, wall-to-wall regulatory violations. Just look at the weather for this week too
Someone react quick.
Following the Cummings Eye Test method being unveiled maybe that's just how we test for liver disease now and Taz wanted to make sure his was in good shape.
That’ll get the barbecues fired up.
There will be MILLIONS of disappointed psychopaths who will be greeting when it doesn't happen. :happycry:
I saw former failed Kent cricketer and thick posho Fabian Cowdrey tweet yesterday that he believes, due to Cummings's actions, there will be a second spike in London this week.
I'll take his word over the WHO, thank you very much.
I keep getting restricted on Twitter. Tory bastards.
Went to the pub tonight. Have been back at work for two weeks now. Gatherings of 100 people allowed now.
Heading for a road-trip down the country this weekend.
Basically back to normal now. At least people have learned how to wash their hands and practice a bit better personal hygiene.
That's a big claim but fingers crossed. Enjoy the office @Baz
No way in hell shes going to nursery. I’ll be working from home regardless.
My nipples are getting a good roasting from working in the garden. Most of the support grants have been paid out. Hardly any coming in. I really should be furloughed now.
Ah well
https://www.covidlive.co.uk/ This now does localised daily reported cases. Not as local as the old data that did it by council parish, sadly. County Durham at a handful, Sunderland at zero.
You're not kidding. I have been struggling for a little while with my health but I was trying to resolve said issues before fucking it off and moving away again but for the last 2/3 weeks maybe I've been having sharp chest pains, hearts been racing even if I do very little and difficulty breathing, mostly in the evenings but it seemed to come and go. I just put things down to not working and not moving much plus the stress of not knowing how I am going to pay my bills etc. I got as far as Truro a few days ago and collapsed. Maybe it as lugging my suitcases around or whatever but I don't remember too much.
The last place I wanted to be is in a hospital though tbf it's not too bad here as I was informed later that they have separate wards for Covid stuff but aye, I got a little scared hence the post.
I should be out in a day or two but thanks for your words chaps.
A mild annoyance going on (you know how we love our Krispy Kreme) but could you imagine if this was over your way or in the US.
It's because they don't want face coverings in their shops.
