Same here really, been gorging on BOSJ all week and I have today off so I thought I'd watch it. Rollings v Styles aside it was pretty guff but Pork winning was lol.
The main event was enjoyable until the end. I also thought AJ v Seth was brilliant.
Fuck me. I called Lesnar winning it as a joke when I went to bed after watch GOT. I have no words for that being right.
That would make no sense so it will probably happen.
As for the rest of the show.... where to start. I feel like it was monumentally shit, but unlike most WWE shows, it was shit in a funny way, so I somewhat enjoyed watching it. I didn't actually mind the Women's stuff.... Becky 2 Belts was stupid and had to end, and this was a decent enough way to do it, even if they probably should have avoided chalking up another cheap title reign to Charlotte to get her to Ric's record. The Braun/Sami backstage stuff was so bad that it was bordering on parody, which again, somehow made it entertaining.
The constant "OH MY GOD THE REF'S ARE FUCKING UP?!?!" was bizarre. Like.... what are they even doing with that? Unless Foley's new title is the VAR Title, I don't get it.
The officiating was odd, clearly not planned or (surely) the commentary would have clued in the viewers in some way. Having Becky (ie your top face) losing at all seemed odd to me but the upshot was a nice 'moment'. Sums up the show really, a couple of nice results and lots of good moves etc but the actual wrestling was very average in my opinion.
Miz v Shane for example, where do you even begin on that shitshow.
I think it had to be planned. If it wasn't planned then so many wrestlers fucked up, and so many refs too. The commentators yelling about it all makes it definitely seem planned. The only thing that makes me question it is why they had Lacey legitimately beat Becky clean, only for a referee to screw her... but yea, wouldn't put that past WWE.
Oh and yea.... LOL at Miz Vs Shane, especially Renee's outraged "HE FELL TO HIS VICTORY?!" sarcastic reaction while they then tried to defend WM. Most cage matches end with someone falling to victory.... that's literally the aim.
Lesnar
The logic of a cage match coming after a no holds barred go anywhere match like they had at WM is also very odd. And then to have Miz lose is even sillier, presumably they're trying to make him look like a chump but to what end?
Perhaps I was in the wrong frame of mind at that point but the whole show seemed a bit weird, from the crowd to the refs and the booking.
The whole show was a massive gongshow from start to finish though.
Watching now (I've had almost all of it spoiled), fucking lol at how stupid they made Mandy look.
Just staring open mouthed with her hand touching the briefcase with no effort to take it down.
Nice to see them continuing to make Joe look like a mong in title matches too.
The refs, lol. What in the actual fuck? Clear three count in both of the Becky matches.
Styles/Rollins was great.
The counter into the Styles Clash was lovely.
That was one of my favourite MITB matches until Baroque turned up.
Also, they were all told that Mustafa Ali was winning right up until just before the fight and then told about BAROQUE.
I've also heard a rumour that the new belt is the LEGENDS CHAMPIONSHIP which will be fought for by Taker and Goldberg, LOL.
So the old 24/7 rule Hardcore title minus the Hardcore bit.
I just saw Foley's announcement. No wonder the crowd booed, the belt looks like a 9 year old designed it.
I have decidedly mixed feelings about MITB. Ignoring the really shortstuff and barring the Cruiserweight title match which did nothing for me I thought most of the matches were pretty decent in an of themselves. Even the cage match if you were to pretend it wasn't Shane McMahon suddenly being invincible in his dotage.
But every one of them bar, I think, Rollins / Styles (he didn't even spend half the match holding his knee!) has a fairly significant gripe.
Why have the Becky Two Belts thing fall at the first hurdle? What were the referees doing? Why have they turned Miz face just to make him look like a chump? Why have 7 guys (well, 6 and Keith) put their all into a generally really good MITB ladder match when they may as well have just had 20 minutes of Vince gargling Bork's balls?
So yeah, weird. There's plenty I liked about it but almost nothing that isn't tainted by more idiotic WWE decision making.
Also lol at that belt Foley unveiled. Should've been the old tatty one.
Who's watching double or nothing then?
I honestly can’t wait for it. Not watched any WWE since ‘Mania
Neville v Hangman is out later today and SCU v UWE is already on youtube (along with their great Rocky 4 montage).
Also, BOSJ is back tomorrow and I think it's Ospreay v ELP
That belt
Was reading some MITB stuff there and was reminded that Michael Cole's "What is wrong with these guys?" was the best thing he's done in yonks.
I properly lol'd.
And this was a belter:
Thought the match was proper lol till Lesnar turned up and memes happened. Overall 2/10.
Are there any nice belts in WWE?
Intercontinental maybe but only because they've resisted the urge to make a shitty plastic version.
Universal atm iirc.
Not a chance, it looks like something you get out of a cereal packet.
:D
I like the NXT North American a lot.
I'll give you that one, for me it's that one plus the UK mens and womens. The rest are gopping.

Actually good: IC title, NA title, NXT UK mens and womens
Fine: NXT mens and womens, NXT tag
Everything else can sod off.
Yeah forgot about the two single uk championships. They're also so very British.
Also Massaro died due to suicide by hanging.
As if Truth hasn't lost the title yet. Is it 24/7 as long as there's an event on and a suitable break in the event where no match is happening?
It's only 24/7 whilst the cameras are rolling.
I imagine we'll get some comedic title changes along the way. I seem to remember a fairground and supermarket one for the hardcore title.
Maybe we go to the Doctors office this time.
I imagine there'll be the odd social media post and other title changes will be at house shows.
Miz and Maryse exchange the title a couple of times whilst in bed. Vince will book that.
Technically the first ever AEW match.

Tye Dillinger has signed for AEW.
I'm glad Kofi hasn't just been buried post-Mania but is Ziggler really the best they can do?
Probably just a place holder for Saudi Arabia tbh. Quick feud and another defence.
They love a shitter HBK over there.
Well it'd be a placeholder whatever show it was on, whether it be Oil Money or the next main one after that... "Stomping Grounds." Which is a shit name.
Yeah, saw that.
If true then ol' Jezza's career path in WWE has been a bit mental.
- NXT career that never really took off
- Called up to main roster. Probably as one of them "this'll make him or break him" type call-ups like Elias.
- Largely midcard nothingness with no real threat of a proper push outside some decent performances in matches with a few people in or more
- MITB winner!
- Jobbed out and made to look a mug when he tries to cash in and back to midcard obscurity he goes
- "The Constable"
- Blamed for basically all of Raw's ills and jobs, like, all the time
- Suddenly involved in a stuff with big names
- Retires one of the greatest ever with a clean win
- Being nudged towards the main event again
I like how their solution to the ratings problem is more Jezza.
Oh and even crapper storyline ofc.
Keep adding Jezza until Stockholm Syndrome sets in.
