James Harrison has retired.
CJ Anderson has been cut. Gotta think he’ll end up in Miami, considering they just tried to trade for him. Tampa are probably in the mix too.
Jackson is visiting the Ravens today. It seems more and more likely that we'll take him at 16 should he be there.
We're going to have all six QBs go in the first round, aren't we? It's going to be madness if everyone starts throwing picks around to try to get them before they go.
At most two of them will still be starting games in 3 years time.
Is it on this Thursday?
26th, about 1am I think.
Not a clue, but history tells us you don't get that many elite QBs in one draft.
How many did we get from the 2004 one? Rivers, Ben & Eli, but was there anyone else as well? That’s got to be the best QB class of the millennium, right?

Can't forget Matt Schaub.
Schaub would be the only other decent one really.

83 is probably the best ever and 2012 would be up there if Luck wasn't always injured now and RG3 hadn't been found out.
'07 has to be the worst there (discounting the early ones because I haven't a clue), there's absolutely fuck all there. Fun fact though, Kevin Kolb was rated as A for potential on Madden up to '11 or something I think which was my first year.
Him, Jimmy Clausen, Arrelious Benn, Jahvid Best, Tony Moeaki
All of them did fuck all in the league but still, great times.
2011 was pretty bad. Cam at #1 did alright for himself, but then you have the Blaine Train, Christian Ponder & Jake Locker all going in the top 16 of a draft where every other player picked in the top 16 aside from Nick Fairley was a pro bowler, and most of them were elite guys like Von Miller, JJ Watt, Tyron Smith, AJ Green & Julio Jones.
EDIT: Skipping forward though, I'm going to throw out an early claim on the RB Karan Higdon from Michigan. I keep watching teams playing them to look at other guys for this draft & he always ends up having three or four big plays in each one.
Times/dates official now.
Think I will skip the Spurs match tbh, not too keen on spending a few hours late at night on the M25.
Ravens have offered Willie Snead a 2yr $10.5m deal. The Saints have already re-signed Brandon Coleman so I doubt they’ll bother to match.
Not keen at all.
Probably the right move by us but it's a bit meh.
He’s fairly comparable to Crabtree, but I guess he’s more the slot version so there’s space for him. If he can get in shape & find his form again he’ll be a good chain mover, but it’s definitely more of a depth move than a quality one.
I think it also further signifies that we'll take Jackson in the draft.
There’s plenty of depth at WR so you can definitely afford to wait - chances are you can get a solid starter in R4 if you don’t mind them being a bit of a specialist.
For all the shitting on Jackson that was going on around the combine when he didn’t run, scored 13 on the wonderlic & nobody could get a meeting with him it definitely seems like there’s been a late surge in first round hype for him. I initially thought he’d get round to the Cardinals in the second but they might end up having to him on day one now.
Do you reckon they’d be willing to tailor the offence to him though, considering they don’t even do it for Big Money Joe?
Yes and I think the offence is more suited to him. They also want him to learn from Griffin too.
Is RG3 basically just going to tell him to not get hit all the time when he runs?
This is how you don't do it...
Let's get some mock drafts up over the next day or two.
Most number of picks right (team and player, regardless if at the wrong position in the first round) wins a prize*
*not accurate.
We should do round 1 here.
Every called pick is a point, every called trade is 5, something like that.
I would do it but after Barkley, Nelson, Ridley and about 4 QBs I'd have to put OJ Simpson as the next pick because I'll have run out of names.
No trade mock off the top of the head:

With trades is more fun. At the very least I’d have Buffalo going up for a QB while the Saints & Eagles trade out of the first round.

I didn’t realise they rolled out all the gimmicks on day three.
There’s a day 3?
Fuck that. Each team should have two minutes to make a selection and get it wrapped up in one night.
So who is going to trade up and take our number 3 pick in the first round? :sherlock:
Draft kicks off at 1am tonight, right?
Here's a quick list of my personal favourites outside of the bigger names, all of which I have as day one or two players:

Never going to happen.
With trades is fun, without listing the whole lot I'd shove Bills taking Clevelands number 4 to take Josh Allen and Rosen landing at Miami.
I just can't see Denver taking a QB. Would also not be surprised if NY Giants traded away number 2 if the QB they want is gone, their team is so bad.
This draft is so good because the top 7 is so interchangeable - Barkley, Chubb, Nelson + 4 QBs. I'm really excited.
Day 1 is on Sky sports tonight, day 2 is live tomorrow night, and (most of) rounds 4-7 live on Saturday. What a weekend
Mayfield to Cleveland is picking up steam. The Saints also seemingly want to trade up to the teens for a QB.
They’ve been on everyone except Rosen in the last week so I guess we’ll just have to wait & see. As for the Saints, I’d rather we traded back but if we go up for Jackson (most likely) or one of the top four it would at least be interesting - Jackson in particular could be fun alongside Kamara in a Sean Payton offence.
Anyway, I’m off to watch the Avengers. Don’t spoil the pick if it leaks this evening.
We could too, if we fear that Lamar Jackson wont be there at 16.
I'll be STUNNED if we don't pick him should he be available.
Completely forgot the draft is on tonight #Inb4Clevelandtakesourpick
Waking up and just reading the results after a good night's sleep.
I remember the days I used to take holidays just to watch all of this. Apart from the Packers picks that end up in the final 53, not a single fuck these days. I don't think I've even seen any of the QB's throw a pass apart from that absolute tosser from Oklahoma.
My entertainment is seeing how the Browns fuck up from pick #1 and #4 in this draft. Also after the shit whichever Dallas legend came out with infront of all the Philly fans last year, it'll be great to see someone from our side come out and parade the trophy in front of all the Dallas fans.
Gotta love having Josh Allen on the red carpet talking about some racist tweets he sent six years ago. Not quite the Tunsil Gas Masks, but I look forward to the Mahow team name nonetheless.
Look at that suit on Minkah  Shame the reporter keeps trying to jam her mic down his Dad's throat though. Also got destroyed by Denzel Ward's shoes. Lamar Jackson going full Cam Newton must mean there's a dedicated 'Black Running QB' stylist out there. He sounds like he'd score a 13 on the Wonderlic, to be fair.
This red carpet shit is awful, but it's stopping me from hunting out draft spoilers, so I'm going to have to sit through it.
I have a feeling that the Browns will take Mayfield which would be the worst choice they could make.
I would take Rosen out of the QBs, but I'd be happy with any of him, Baker or Darnold, and I think Darnold will end up being the pick. Allen & Jackson both have enormous potential, but they're also much bigger risks, and I'm not sure you can swing & miss that hard again if you're the Browns.
This guy must be paid by the second for the anthem.
Trying way too hard with the anthem.
Settle down mate.
I think #1 is Darnold. Mayfield to the Jets.
A little surprised that the Broncos are thinking of going up to 2.
I thought the Bills would do it.
