You need to get over it. Booking Rice was the correct decision, and that particular example is not at all comparable.
Less solid ground but I thought the ref almost gave that more for dissent, ie it looked like he was going to leather it in frustration and sort of pulled himself back, but still kicked it, particularly from the ref's angle, and no VAR on yellows etc.
Either way, it certainly isn't healthy running oneself mad over refereeing decisions. The dullest aspect of the game going.
It's because the establishment hates [your favourite team] and conspires constantly to keep them down. I slipped a camera into the pre-season meeting where Kim Jong-Un, Epstein and Keith Hackett stood on a podium and issued their instructions to the eager whistlers seated along the trestle table below. '[your favourite team] has had it too easy for too long,' slurped Bono as he downed the last of his baby blood gazpacho. 'It's time we gave [your favourite team] their comeuppance'.
I think the referees are all shit and bad at their job. Saying that seems to be me trying to destroy grassroots football. I can handle them being shit, I KNOW they're shit. Them having a weekly get together and saying 'We're not shit, you just simply aren't smart enough to understand how good we are' is just gaslighting.
Where does that opinion get you other than a state of perpetual misery? These are the best refs there are and they're better than any previous generation of refs. It's a subjective game and everyone disagrees about decisions. If you watch old football there were far more injustices than there are today. It's just that today fans' antennae are set to pick up any opportunity for rage and victimhood. Just roll with it and enjoy the fact that your team is much better than it has been for ages.
I mean it's not true but then say 'Yeah that was a cock up, our bad.'
Pretty much everything in professional sport is objectively at a higher level than ever before, and refereeing is no exception. You think Paul Durkin would have kept up with today's play? No chance.
Footballers are worse.
Worse to watch but they'd beat Brazil 1970 15-0.
Trossard was officially given a yellow for delaying but the foul was worth a yellow anyway.
For as much of a joke as he was as an international manager, Kenny is some man at this level. If he ends up winning this league it'll top anything he did at Dundalk.
Also, if Pats have Mason Melia locked down well enough then they're going to be in the money.
Another game for Southampton bossing the possession, but ultimately losing quite comfortably. I wonder how long he sticks to his guns.
He doesn't have any other guns. None of them do.
If you didn't catch the game(I wouldn't blame you if you didn't), Wolves were 2-1 down at home to us at the weekend with 10 minutes to go.
The keeper would pass the ball to the CB. This clearly triggers THE PRESS. CB gets spooked by it and passes to his full back or other CB, who now under pressure, rolls it back to the keeper. We now back off because you don't gung ho press the keeper in that situation and we go back to the start. They did this over and over to end the game without having so much as a chance at goal, all the while Neville seething himself off, over no one willing to deviate from THE PLAN. Sounds like much the same around the league. We even had it to a degree at home to Notts Forest.

I hope this lands. Seems like something that could really benefit their whole football structure.
Disappointing that that isn't an article about Southgate taking over at Man Utd, like I thought it'd be after your intro to it.
I saw some guy on twitter claiming the opposite. Like how shit it will be as it pretty much means Wales lose a European spot as one of those will always claim it.
Think he said they get three so this would make it two for Welsh structure teams. Only benefit would be if they built up enough coefficient for a 4th but then they are right back where they started.
"We were soft. Whatever personnel you have on the pitch, whatever way you play, if you lack the fight and aggression and spirit and togetherness and courage that we lacked in the first half, you're going to have a big, big problem.
"I didn't recognise our team. I didn't like a lot of what I saw, and I was hurt by the lack of spirit and fight. Normally I'm proud of them for the courage they show, but there was no aggression, no courage, no intensity to play."
The words of a man who is about to "lose the dressing room" if he hasn't already.
Here's the thing: Reserve teams of those big clubs have previously entered those competitions. Wrexham was doing it until 1998. Newport's reserves won their league in 1980. The precedent has been set and, historically, Wales' best European performances are down to those four clubs.
So you're telling me if you give him the ball, he'll score every time?
To everyone’s shock the Bruno red has already been overturned.
Salzburg getting felt up by Brest.
My Dads at the West Brom match tonight. Linesman’s collapsed in the middle of the game. People think it’s a heart attack.
That’s such a good run and header from Havertz. He’s just a completely different player from the one that joined.
Somebody from the crowd has been made 4th official? Could be a way to improve VAR.
We'll be praised for that set piece but that is absolutely ATROCIOUS defending from PSG. They let about 7 players get a run on them.
Donnarumma must have money on the handicap.
The goals show on TNT is shocking this year.
They keep cutting away from action to show the panel chatting bollocks and they can't even show the highlights of the game that is being shown on Amazon.
Celtic are getting fisted which is great to see.
"Are PSG better without Mbappe?" I saw postulated earlier on some BBC thing presumably fronted by Julien Laurens.
It would appear not.
Reading the match report of the West Brom game and up pops my most hated statistic.
“Middlesbrough scored the first away goal at the Hawthorns in 6 months”
Using time instead of games to artificially inflate a stat by including the 3 months where they didn’t play any games is peak stat rot.
Someone saw the trend that that 'Days since Mbappe scored a freekick' account got and started a 'Days since Saka scored a freekick' (saka doesn't take free kicks) bought his blue tick and all hoping for money to roll in. Saka scored 3 days after the account was created.
Szczesny has un-retired to sign with Barca.
Anyone watching the Villa game?
Watkins tripped over his own leg, these BT commentators are absolutely shite.
No but I just saw the lad in the crowd do a big Santa's eyebrow though.
Hahaha.
Joshua Kimmich really is a tremendous German. He's the sort of German who your daughter could bring home and you would be simultaneously delighted and horrified. He's one of the last remnants of Bavaricana in what is otherwise just another identikit bunch of 2020s mercenary footballers. The fans do at least give it a bit of authenticity with their very German noises, and you can dream yourself into thinking that you're watching a proper Bayern side again. The problem is that just as you convince yourself of that, the camera cuts to Vincent Kompany on the sidelines, looking gormless in his crappy loose jacket and t-shirt. It's like watching scenes from the Nuremberg rally as a delirious partei ramps itself up for another barnstorming speech from the Fuhrer, except Adolf's on annual leave so it's going to be Grant Shapps instead.
Jhon Duran might be the best thing to have happened in football for years.
This villa side are brilliant, I'm glad being totally detached from west brom allows me to enjoy them more fully.
