Absolute bumming coming up here
De Gea working himself out of the Madrid move again. 4D chess. Or something
This is hilarious that they've given him a 3 year contract just as he's being hopelessly exposed as a clueless fuckwit.
He pulled that shit in the World Cup as well. Weak.
Hopefully we have a complete revamp of our defence in the Summer.
Probably end up giving Phil Jones a new contract and the captains armband though.
Well that didn't take long. :D
De Geas ability to make snap and reflex saves is unparalleled but his concentration is appalling.
I don't recall Young being as utterly shit on the ball when he was defending for Mourinho. Is that because he normally had two midfielders near him to crab it to, rather than having to look up and attempt something? It should be the thing he's actually good at as a converted attacker, since he isn't the worst defender in the world; but no, he's just a bed-shitting nightmare.
I know it's fashionable to have a lol at NARRATIVE around here, but how good would another Messi-Ronaldo final be after all these years?
Lol at Pogba chasing shadows, running out and leaving his space in behind.
Ajax
I'd love it if they won the whole thing.
Yeah Ajax lol, as if City wouldn't do them 7-0 on aggregate. Shut up.
Fucking Phil Jones.
Cardiff's scrambling out of the bathwater.
How come they're allowed to play a league match at the same time as the Champions League?
This team is clearly not good enough to be expecting to beat Barcelona over two legs, it says nothing about OGS as a manager. I think he's every right to feel a little aggrieved to have no goals to show for the team's efforts so far to be honest, we've made chances and looked threatening at times.
Yeah things have tailed off in the last few weeks compared to when he first came in, but we moved from a very low-energy style of sitting back and defending for large proportions of games to something much more dynamic with a lot more pressing. The players look knackered lot of the time, which is hardly surprising given even the teams who've had time to adapt to that tend to get worn out by the end of the season. Even moreso what with what's come out about Mourinho's archaic methods with regards to player fitness.
Solksjaer needs a pre-season and good backing in a transfer window (or two) before you can pass fair judgement IMO. He's bought some good will with how he had the team playing when he first came in for me. That might end up having been a flash in the pan and we'll rue the appointment but you really can't say one way or the other yet.
Lol at the De Gea analysis. Every keeper in the world has a howler every once in a while. He's one of the top few keepers in the world; "concentration is appalling" my arse.
Concentration. Is. Appalling.
Ajax are playing so well. If Ronaldo scores some bullshit goal to win this for Juve it'll be the death of football
Posting one of his mistakes (which as I said you can find many similar fo any goalkeeper in history) and making each word it's own sentence doesn't make you right. His stats are exceptional despite playing behind a below par defence and he makes big mistakes much less than most; appalling concentration is a laughable accusation.
Juve Ajax is a cracking game.
Fred has been good tonight, racist BBC feed agenda aside. He has actually tried to get things moving, unlike Paulp Ogba who is just being a wanker whenever he gets it.
Still 1-1. How.
Ajax are playing some ridiculous football. Tadic is prime Zidane in the Champions League.
De Ligt.
He'd look good in all red.
Since when were Ajax this good again against opposition like this?
That's so deserved for Ajax.
25 minutes for Juve to save their season.
Ajax could have had 7
What's happened to Suarez, he's looked dreadful both the games against us?
Young is legitimately a Championship level player, he's so bad it's embarrassing. Just play Dalot and Shaw for the rest of the season and make Young into glue.
Ajax are brilliant, but the reason they don't have 7 is they're thick as fuck in the final third. If they were a bit more ruthless instead of overplaying everything they could've completely destroyed Juve (and Real).
The ref in Juve Ajax has an incredibly expressive face.
Aye, they take walking the ball into the net to a new level. They’re great fun though. So fast in everything they do.
Ziyech needs off
Daley Blind donning this whilst Phil Jones is still running around like a mong.
Beating PSG was fun, but a thrashing like that was always coming against a top side. Would've been nice to grab a goal or two over the two legs since we made enough chances. It's going to take some serious money spent very well to see us competing at the top level again.
Glad to see Ajax going through; shame their team will get dismantled in the summer.
Same old cycle of schadenfreude in Italy. Juve smirk their way to the league, the rest of the country smirks back at the eventual Champions League elimination, and nobody wins.
Does no one do a Champions League highlights programme after the matches now?
BT chuck them up on youtube.
Whatever happened to that European Football Show on Sundays? The only highlights/analysis show that was ever worth watching
Nicky Butt the white Stan Colleymore. I’m shocked.
Wasn't Butt about the most boring and least controversial player ever when he played?
Brighton possibly even worse than Saturday last night. Team looks completely bereft of ideas. Sideways sideways sideways, no one taking responsibility, no way to progress the ball out of their half. They've bought into the idea of possession as king, but that only works if you're not absolutely useless with it. As it is they just pass themselves into difficulty. Serious discontent with Hughton and there has to be a good chance he'll go regardless of the outcome this season (even though that's very not a Bloom thing to do). I know logic says he's the best man to get them out of the Championship if they go down (and, conversely/perversely, he should probably go if they stay up as this lot are going down next season without major changes) but he looks like he's lost the team/dressing room. Stevens and Propper may as well have not bothered turning up they were so poor. Players arguing each other from early on, Cardiff could probably have won it down to 10 men after 5 minutes.
Only hope is to spawn something out of Wolves or Newcastle and that Cardiff lose to one of Palace and Fulham (and against Liverpool and United). Might take Cardiff failing to win any of their remaining games in all honesty as it's hard to see Brighton scoring a goal or keeping a clean sheet.
Beating City o the last day of the season would be the best outcome, natch.
Messi running circles around FEC last night was a joy to watch. Regardless of what happened, Man Utd really do need some new players defensively.
