Top 15. Not sure I can see both Miami AND Washington passing on him unless he really shits the bed in the interviews.
And we've already seen how good he is with the words.
You've got to assume he's been assured a first round by at least one team so that he can pay back Oakland out of his signing bonus. There's no chance they'd accept losing out on their first round player and getting the money back in installments. It's going to be genuinely hilarious the first time a properly brutal rusher gets their hands on him. Donald could probably land him in the seventh row of seating.
Anfernee Jennings sacked him with one hand while still being blocked in the Alabama game, so putting on the ground seems easy enough. Getting hands on him is the hard part.
Apparently he’s getting up to 200lbs though. Maybe he should work out with DK Metcalf.
Right now I’d rank his landing spots as:
Miami
Washington
Jacksonville
Oakland
Denver
Arizona
NYG
Cincinnati
Jacksonville will go below Oakland if they sign Foles or Bridgewater, and I refuse to believe the Cardinals talk until it happens.
I see Miami pulling the trigger.
Not at all related but those NBA jerseys look fucking insane. Shame they are 20 years off (allegedly).
Apparently Kapernick got $60-80m.
AAF kicking off at 7 with Birmingham Iron against Salt Lake Stallions - should be able to watch on their website.
The camera work hurts my brain.
I've only been half watching so far but this seems like a pretty not good game.
I didn't watch the rest of the games from last night, but going by the highlights I didn't miss much in the Birmingham game. Just watching the ARI/MEM highlights & I've gotta say I've been impressed by Zac Stacy in both games.
Rashad Ross deserves a look too:
Some of the hits Hackenberg took were ejections in the NFL though :|
There was also this really nice run:
We’ve lost one of the potential challengers for the 40 record at the combine - Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown has had surgery on a lisfranc injury & will miss the combine & his pro day.
He’ll still be a second round pick, to be fair.
Steelers to shift out Brown and bring in Brown?
I've seen it mentioned - he's AB's cousin as well :D
Mr Big Chest :D
He must be getting the same advice as Kyler was.
"Mr Big Chest"? What the fuck?
Fucking hell. It's a shame AB is so talented, because he really is a complete and utter prune.
Seems like it’s actually going to happen (until they see the offers & decide to give him the Bell treatment instead)
Cardinals have signed Charles Clay too.
I'm really interested to see where he could go. If he just wants money then it's not worth talking about, but in terms of turning a team into SuperBowl challengers it's intriguing.
The top paid WR from last season was Mike Evans for $18.2m of cap space. You'd imagine Brown will command $19-20m. Looking at Over The Cap, there's a few teams with over $20m free in cap space(I know it's not that simple).
The Packers, but they do have a good WR corps already. Their defence is much more a pressing need.
Titans, they'll have Walker back and have Davis but nothing really after that.
Cowboys. Still need help at WR but just paid out big for Cooper, though not a great deal wrong with the rest of the team.
49ers. With Jimmy G they're a completely different team and pairing him with the counter punch of Kittle would be great. There's not another WR that really stands out as must keep from them either.
Seahawks would be a bit from left field, but they're a good young team with a superbowl winning formula being built into them. Adding a big weapon like Brown would give them another big push. Although they'd probably be more likely to take Hollywood Brown under their current model.
Colts. Luck is amazing without great weapons and Frank Reich will get everything from him. They probably need more help with defence, but do have the most cap space in the league with over $100m. They could afford to do both.
49ers is the one, I think.
He won't go to the 49ers. I reckon he'd rather spend a season doing a Bell, even at this stage of his career, than spend it finishing nowhere.
I could see the Raiders trading for him, maybe trumping everyone by offering one of their nineteen first round picks, but if he goes for a second it'll be to either the Packers on a 'win now' push accompanied by a load of defensive FA signings, or the Eagles, with a coach desperately keen to justify letting Foles go and putting their future on Wentz.
I'd love him at the Eagles but we've the 2nd lowest spare cap space in the league and Wentz is coming into a 'put your money where your mouth is' kind of year.
I've heard rumblings of us going in for him (and Bell) but I don't see it at all.
We don't really have enough draft capital to trade for him and even after freeing Flacco we'd need to do a lot of cap movement to get him in.
I'm hoping we could find a MLB or OL after cuts. I've heard that Osemele could be a cap casualty/Raiders open to trading him and I'd go all out for him. We'd still be lacking at centre but Stanley - Osemele - A Body - Yanda - Brown Jr would be a mean O-Line.
Steelers have confirmed they wont tag or use the transition tag on Bell.
While we're talking RBs...He isn't my top back in the draft class, but you know who's fun? Devin Singletary.
Guy has a great feel for space & how defenders are going to move within it, and he does the peak Shady thing of having an unblocked defender two yards from him as he takes the handoff, but the defender ends up on the floor having not even touched him while he breaks off a 20yd run. I'd wager his highlight tape is the best in the entire class.
Here it is, actually:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9m3VUP2NPOg
Not exactly the greatest competition playing for FAU, but I think he had something dumb like 68 TDs in 38 games :D
So, I’ve heard two insane things today:
This...
And this...
:cab:
I've watched TJ Hockenson, Noah Fant & Amani Oruwariye recently, so let me tell you this:
If you want to see a spectacular display of terrible quarterbacking, go watch Nate Stanley throw every pass five yards off his receiver in the Iowa/Penn State game. I've watched that game three times this week & it never gets better.
https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news...ract-extension
We've given Tavon Young a new contract. The best nickel corner in the league right now.
Apparently Jon Gruden is VERY high on Kyler Murray.
If he's actually thinking of taking him at 4 (or even in the top 10 by trading down) he should be fired on the spot.
If Oakland want him they’ll probably trade up to 1. I’m sure Arizona would be willing to move, and if they stick at 4 someone will trade in front of them for him
I bet Gronk was involved too.
Woodrum's on @Sir Andy Mahowry
Hackenberg :harold:
Not even five minutes played & this already looks like a slaughter.
Crabtree has been cut.
Oh and here are the compensatory picks this year:
As a John Brown owner I'm thrilled that the release of Crabtree all but guarantees him 2 targets per game.
2 is being kind, especially when we draft a WR in the third round.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...&sf208503408=1
Randy Gregory suspended again, this time indefinitely.
Bengals are trying to trade John Ross.
The only way they're getting something higher than a fourth rounder is if the ghost of Al Davis picks up the phone.
Johnny Football can't even stick it in the Canadian league:
"We are disappointed by this turn of events. Johnny was provided a great deal of support by our organization, in collaboration with the CFL, but he has been unable to abide by the terms of his agreement," Alouettes general manager Kavis Reed offered in a statement. "We worked with the league and presented alternatives to Johnny, who was unwilling to proceed."
The league have said that they wont let any other team sign him too :D
He must have done something to really piss them off.
That big feature that SI did on him probably a few years ago now suggests that any talent he may have is just outweighed by him being broken in the head.
Err...Jason Witten is unretiring & going back to Dallas???
That's him and Mayock off the telly
Any chance someone needs Pat McAfee to punt for a few years?
Kyler's been measured:
Also gotta get the obligatory DK tweet in:
He also had the biggest wingspan of any WR ever until Hakeem Butler came along shortly after & was even longer.
Witten getting out of the commentary game is great. Just need Al Michaels and Collinsworth to fuck.
Bunch of freaks in this WR class
:D
I do love a bit of middle aged man love.
I missed that Hollywood Brown weighed in at 166lbs :uhoh: That’s very not big. Chuck in the Lisfranc & he’s probably out of the top 50 now
Dalton Risner going insane as the rabbit for Jawaan Taylor, who also showed up to play today despite an injury.
Dear God don’t stare directly at Elijah Holyfield’s 40
The Ravens have often been mentioned as a potential suitor for free agent running back Le’Veon Bell, and now the buzz around Indianapolis this week at the NFL Scouting Combine is that the team has become one of the favorites to sign the former Pittsburgh Steelers star, according to The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec.
Zrebiec pointed to the strong rapport that Ravens General Manager Eric DeCosta has with Bell’s agent, Adisa Bakari, as one of the likely reasons the Bell-to-Baltimore rumors are gaining steam. After the Ravens finalized a contract extension for cornerback Tavon Young last week, DeCosta cited his relationship with Bakari, who is also Young’s agent, for the deal getting done so quickly and smoothly.
https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news...o-land-le-veon
:cab:
He's going to need to knock a hell of a lot off that $50m asking price.
Alex Collins was arrested earlier today after a car crash. Already cut by the Ravens.
He wasn't even going to be kept had he not been arrested.
Gus the Bus and Dixon were so much better then you've got Buck Allen or Ty Montgomery as the receiving back. Plus there's a chance we draft someone so there was not a chance for him.
Kyler is now being hotly tipped to go #1 overall. A lot saying to the Cards as well. Big time shitting on Rosen there if true, but I think the sense is to trade it to someone who wants him.
Bosa dropping anywhere below #1 overall is a steal for whoever picks him up.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...d-indefinitely
David Irving suspended indefinitely.
Just days after his teammate Randy Gregory did.
Niners aren't going anywhere until Bosa is off the board. As for the Kyler/Rosen thing, I'm going back to my stance from back when talk of Murray declaring started; I'll believe it when it happens.
Cowboys will probably take Carl Granderson to make up for the loss of two DL with off field issues.
EDIT: Shoutout to Alex Barnes for murdering the combine (and the dude in the clip)
Bosa will go to the Cards unless they can trade down.
I say they trade down and could get Quinnen Williams. Lynch is a smart gambler. Hell he could even get Bosa at 6 if trades go his way which they could.
Some notable WR performances from this afternoon:
Miles Boykin, Notre Dame - 4.42 forty, 43.5" vertical, 11' 8" broad jump
Parris Campbell, Ohio State - 4.31 forty, 40" vertical, 11' 3" broad
Mecole Hardman, Georgia, 4.33 forty,
Hakeem Butler, Iowa State - 4.48 forty
N'Keal Harry, Arizona State - 4.54 forty
Emanuel Hall, Missouri - 4.39 forty, 40" vert, 11' 9" broad
--
DK just about to run...
HE FUCKING RAN A 4.33 AT 228LBS :alan: :hail:
DK is trying to ensure that he's picked well before we're on the clock :(
DK Metcalf is a freak.
Terry McLaurin deserves some love running 4.36 & 4.39 in the spot before DK.
4.38 on the second run for the alien
When a man that size looks like he's gliding. :|
11' 2" broad jump as well
If he can tidy his game up he's going to be utterly hilarious.
Andy Isabella (a white guy) had a clock error on his run, but apparently it's been officially adjusted to 4.31
In unrelated news, Deion's brain just imploded.
Is this good? This seems good.
I have bigger hands than him. He's shit.
Orlando Brown had a RAS of 0.73 last year, lol.
The top RB ever by RAS is Justin Fargas.
I had never heard of him so looked him up. Drafted by the Raiders, of he was.
https://relativeathleticscores.com/2...res-ras-table/
Roman Reigns the 14th most athletic DT of all time.
To show some balance, DK ran a 4.50 short shuttle & a 7.38 three cone, both of which are terrible - 4th & 3rd worst in the WR class respectively, I think. The leaders for both were at 4.03 (Parris Campbell & Cody Thompson, tied) & 6.77 (Miles Boykin, who also finished third in the shuttle & has probably got himself drafted today) for some perspective.
Do they measure their cocks as well?
Knowing American frat boy culture and sports they more than likely do.
Edit: By knowing I mean reading stories and Hollywood films ofc.
Montez Sweat ran a 4.42 which is the fastest time ever for a DL and would have been good for the ninth fastest WR this year.
The shuttle time like a bad TE doesn't bode well for Metcalf.
I saw the NFL Facebook page comparing his eye opening results from the other day to Julio Jones. They fail to mention the poor results he also got and the fact that Julio had a broken foot that day.
For a guy who had already had questions asked about his attitude, this is not good:
Greedy ran 4.38 today, so he’s going top 15.
In terms of lesser known guys, Jamel Dean from Auburn ran a 4.30 at something like 6’1”, which will put him in the radar, Delvon Randall boosted his stock with a 4.39 and Juan Thornhill has jumped himself into the top 50 with a 44” vert, 11’ 9” broad & a 4.43 forty. He might even have got himself a move from safety to corner.
It's going to be some turnaround if the Cards take Murray at 1 and then trade Rosen for likely a third. 10th pick last year having given up a third and fifth to move up.
Was Rosen the one sat being all pouty because he went last of the name QBs? He's going to get even worse when he's sat on a bench.
Quick update on the franchise tag situation
Yeah that was to be expected, the tag number is just too high for us. Especially as we have Peanut and Kenny Young.
https://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/20...-bond-nfl-news
Collins got done for possession with intent to distribute. Moron.
Ravens have cut Weddle.
Glad, he was shit last year.
Hefty contract too.
Oh and you'll like this GF, we're attempting to sign Dwayne Allen.
Excellent news. You still need to draft 2 or 3 though.
I thought we were after him as we'd let Boyle and Williams go.
Boyle has just re-signed though.
Biggest trade of the offseason is done.
Antonio to Buffalo. That’s him done.
Is it actually confirmed yet, or are we all going off Rapoport despite everyone else saying it’s not happening?
Even Rap Sheet himself:
It's off sadly.
Oakland it is then :harold:
This one actually does seem to be happening.
Giants have won that by far.
Zeitler is easily a top 10 guard (especially at pass blocking) whearas Vernon is lazy and overrated.
Giants O-line is definitely getting prepared to have to save the corpse of Eli for a whole longer.
The pass rush class is strong as well this year, no?
They could easily have found someone to pair with Garrett (Sweat could have dropped to them) but it's damn harder to find a legitimate pro bowl guard.
It's okay, but most of the talent is going to be gone by the time they pick - Bosa, Allen, Ferrell, Sweat & Burns will all likely be gone, then it's a bunch of day two guys I'm not too convinced about - and they seem to be high on Austin Corbett, so I guess they figured it's worth it to get him on the field. Vernon apparently graded really well with PFF last year, and it gives them a nice group of edge guys with some extra freedom to move Garrett inside on passing downs.
It'll really come down to Corbett though - if he's a turnstile it'll be horrible, but if he's solid they should come out pretty well.
Seems like a bargain to me - sixth round pick was all they paid, apparently.
Pats have traded a 2020 fifth to Philly for Micheal Bennett & a 2020 seventh, and now Martellus wants to unretire to play on the same team as his brother.
Rams have signed Eric Weddle too.
Weddle is a great guy but they're going to regret that. He can't cover anymore as he's lost a step and he can't tackle, we gave up many big plays because he fluffed his tackle.
Big downgrade from Joyner.
https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news...trick-onwuasor
We've placed a second round tender on Peanut.
Scenes. Can we get Hard Knocks please?
$21m dead money, fucking hell.
Oh and a third and a fifth is pretty damn cheap. Especially when you consider that the Raiders gave the Steelers a third for Martavis Bryant last year.
Good move for the Jets, that. Raiders gotta make room on the wage bill for Mr Big Chest.
KC releasing Houston as well.
It's Mr Big Checks now.
Noooooooo.
I was hoping KO would come back to us :(
Legal tampering window has opened, and the Raiders are already proving some entertainment.
No idea where all that money went :D
Also, another not quite confirmed yet RapSheet report that may end up being retracted.
This was does have other reporters supporting it, mind.
Jesus fuck that Trent Brown contract.
Cut by the Niners for being too shit at RT, moved to LT by the Patriots has one decent year and is now the highest paid OL.
The Raiders are fucking stupid.
And they took Miller in R1 & Brandon Parker in R3 last year. Speaking of which...
https://www.profootballfocus.com/new...orth-the-money
32nd ranked OT by PFF last year, 37th in pass protection.
And that was with one of the better OLine coaches and Brady's quick release.
Oh Oakland, never change.
Malik Jackson though. :checkit:
This just after Kwon called out Mike Garafolo for reporting he’d said goodbye to his teammates.
That money is fucking obscene, by the way. Think there are only two other linebackers making $10m a year (Wagner & Keuchly). CJ Mosley about to join the club too, you’d imagine. Not sure you’re getting great value there.
When I said Mosley could get paid, I didn’t realise he could GET PAID
:|
He's not worth that much.
WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!
This is what happens when teams have over a billion dollars in combined cap space available at the start of free agency.
Also this:
Not sure how they’re going to be able to pay Alex Smith, Landon Collins & CJ Mosley, but okay.
Landon Collins getting $84m over 6 years. :| Going to the Redskins.
First week of free agency is always mental.
My word.
This new deal for AB is looking pretty cheap already.
Even the backup TEs are getting money. Uzomah & Boyle both around $6m per year is lol.
Sounds like Detroit has beaten Miami in this round of the battle of the Patriots expansion franchises. They've paid him silly money, obviously.
They also signed Amendola yesterday.
Not quite Trent Brown, but then Bobby Hart is fucking garbage.
They also re-signed CJ Uzomah for 3 years $18m.
15 starts last season (due to the injuries) and he only managed 439 yards with 3 TDs, he also can't block for shit.
https://www.profootballfocus.com/new...ile-c-j-uzomah
The Cincinnati Bengals drafted C.J. Uzomah in the fifth round of the 2015 draft as a developmental prospect at tight end. Four seasons later, Uzomah has struggled to achieve the stats of a league-average player at the position. While he’s had to share snaps with Tyler Eifert and Tyler Kroft, both were injured early this year, and Uzomah failed to take advantage of the opportunity, producing a 57.4 grade that ranks 34th out of 41 qualifying tight ends.
Uzomah finally got his chance to shine this season, but he failed to make the most out of his targets. The fifth-round pick out of Auburn earned just a 54.9 receiving grade and averaged only 1.00 yards per route run, which ranks 34th out of 40 qualifying tight ends. Uzomah has also struggled with drops throughout his young career, ranking inside the top-ten in drop rate each of the last three seasons.
$6m a year
We've made an offer for Mark Ingram.
Ingram, Gus the Bus and Kenneth Dixon would be tasty behind Lamar Jackson.
Probably getting $8m a year at this rate.
Bills RB room injecting some much needed youth.
NFL off season keeps the entertainment going.
That Landon Collins deal is great. $45m guaranteed in the first three years. Woof.
Shocker. Nobody saw it coming. THE MONEY THOUGH..
Another one that's been in the bag for a while.
This makes me sad.
We're bringing D-Jax back.
We really missed the long threat last season. Agholor and Ertz don't really do monster plays and Jeffery is Jeffery. Once teams figured all throws were going to be short we suffered.
https://www.baltimorebeatdown.com/20...source=twitter
Suggs is leaving :(
Fuck Arizona.
Adam Humphries to Tennessee, and another TE deal is done:
Tyler Kroft to the Bills. 3 years $18.75m, shit backup TE's are getting nice contracts.
The bengals are in a bad way is they've gone from 2 te and an injured stud in eiffert to only an injured stud.
Eiffert may never play again.
They're taking Hockenson at 11 :uhoh:
Watch out NFL, they're sorting their defence out :uhoh: They did just lose their center though:
Would assume that means Matt Paradis to the Jets is incoming. We've also had Buster Skrine & Mike Davis to the Bears & Devin Funchess to the Colts
Why did Foles get so much, you ask?
:D
I was hoping we'd get Honey Badger :(
Raiders are signing Lamarcus Joyner.
Jets are signing Anthony Barr.
I’m sure they both got very reasonable deals.
Broncos have signed Kareem Jackson & Ja’Wuan James.
Happy enough with that.
The spirit of Ted Thompson lives on.
The Browns
HE’S GETTING MEGA PAID :cab:
Za'Darius Smith is also getting $16m a year from the Packers.
Mental.
We're going to get at least 2 third round comp picks next year.
Suggs took a 1 year $7m contract with the Cardinals.
I assume he just didn't want to re-sign at all with us as I'd assume we'd have happily matched that.
He was on our O-line so don't get too excited. He played a number of games last year but mostly covering for injuries if I recall, though I can't remember to who. Played at least a couple of positions.
Shit lineman who plays more than one position? He'll be at home with the other 5 or 6 on the roster then.
You're welcome.
Must have not wanted to play EDGE for them.
Bills have signed John Brown & Cole Beasley, and Teddy might be staying with the Saints  We’re losing Ingram to Mahow though, but apparently Latavius is replacing him.
Or maybe Ingram isn’t going to Baltimore...
:sherlock:
Obvious fake.
EDIT - Giggles, you sneaky twat.
Was that the ‘Lev Bell getting $86m over 4 years’ tweet? Think that probably got Spotrac too.
Jordan Hicks to the Cards:
Meanwhile, Bell himself is hyping up his album that releases tonight :D
Amos to the Packers @Giggles. Ty Nsekhe to the Bills could be a sneaky good one too.
I'd prefer Ingram to Bell tbh anyway. Bell would cripple our cap (which is still fucked due to Flacco), Ingram isn't a diva and I think it would suit the team more.
People are bashing on Ingram but I think he'll work a treat.
Big fan of Smoke last year, he was a great target for Flacco but never really gelled with Loomar.
I think people are too quick to see him as purely a power back. He's got damn good hands, can make some nice cuts and blocks really well when called upon.
Word is that Jets have made an improved final offer after the Barr deal fell through. Wants to go to the Ravens but the deal he wants isn't there.
Bradley Roby to the Texans on a one year deal.
Titans have signed Roger Saffold.
Bears have signed Cordarrelle Patterson
The big one, though, is Matt Paradis to the Panthers, who I'm not sure anybody had mentioned as an option
Must be something about the Jets that's putting people off (unless they pay them big money)
He's a great character guy too.
Kamara, Thomas, Jordan & others also fucking love him. Only 89 yards shy of the franchise rushing record too.
Beckham to the Browns is on.
God damn.
OBJ to the browns lmfao
I'VE ALWAYS BEEN A LIFELONG BROWNS FAN :alan:
(I do have family in Cleveland)
Browns get Beckham.
Giants get a 1st, 3rd and Jabril Peppers.
That feels...expensive for OBJ honestly.
So, do I get a Baker shirt or an OBJ one?
Dee Ford might be going to San Francisco, and Cam Wake has signed with the Titans (on a THREE YEAR deal!!!), but who even fucking cares anymore at this point?
Oh, we're not really doing this, are we? :uhoh:
That is a massive overpay for OBJ and it says a lot that the Giants will take that much of a cap hit.
Perriman isn't happy.
Dee Ford expected to sign 5 year, $88m deal in San Fran.
What even is money?
When the Browns top the AFC North and the Ravens and Steelers struggle to make a winning record, it's going to get quite salty in here.
I see the salt is beginning early :D
Also. When tweets do not age well...
https://i.gyazo.com/a4674f78e9ffc933...20ce08a0a0.png
Gettleman has got some serious explaining to do.
Bell to the Jets is done.
LOL at him turning down 5yrs, $70m from the Steelers, sitting out for a year because he was so insulted by the offer then getting this
I’m guessing there’s more guaranteed money in it, which was always his sticking point. The Steelers offer was pathetic in those terms I seem to recall.
Think there’s $2m more on a deal that’s one year shorter, but Pittsburgh are pretty good about looking after their guys (they just kept Shazier on for the second year in a row), so he probably would’ve got most of the Steelers money.
Browns have added some nice TE depth now.
The Bell situation ended up working out well for the Steelers. They've ended up finding out Connor is just as good and he'll be on a much cheaper deal for a while than Bell wanted.
Yeah, Connor & Jaylen Samuels will give 90% of the production at 10% of the cost. Shame the whole rest of the team is shit now though.
Browns are going to be a serious team next year. At a minimum they'll win their division.
@Sir Andy Mahowry
Everyone jumping on Cleveland to cruise the AFC North is forgetting that Baltimore are impossible to shake. They’ll be in the hunt for sure, just in a less flashy, hyped up manner.
Not without a QB.
Tyrell Williams joining AB in Oakland, and Tyrod has taken a 2yr deal with the Chargers.
They have one!
Oh.
:D what a twat.
The speed is by the by, but why would people drive without a seatbelt? I know it was a big thing with 'Freedoms!' and whatever over there when they first came about, but now, really?
Cleveland next? They're open to trading Ogbah now, reportedly.
Wow.
Did not see Earl Thomas coming at all.
Big contract for a 30 year old coming off a broken leg.
This is the same 49ers who paid McKinnon a load of cash last season, then got by fine with Brieda, Morris & Mostert when he got hurt. DEFINITELY NEEDED ANOTHER RUNNING BACK
Bortles officially released. Meanwhile, Donte Moncrief appears to have signed with the Steelers & Teddy is visiting Miami to see if they can pay him enough money for him to agree to be killed for two years while they rebuild.
Golden Tate to the Giants, 4 years, 37.5m.
That's Odell replaced then. Off to the playoffs they go.
Teddy
Kareem suspended for 8 games.
Interesting.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...nt-eight-games
Hunt suspended for 8 games (in total he will miss 15).
Titans have traded for Ryan Tannehill
Bucs have signed Shaq Barrett too.
Seemingly Tyreek Hill broke his son's arm and is being investigated for battery. That'll be him done for the year.
Not Tyreek "Punching Pregnant Women In The Stomach" Hill????
He really needs to be involved in some horrendous career-ending incident.
Great timing for that to come out what with former Chief teammate Kareem Hunt having just got an arguably lenient 8 game suspension.
The record will show that they gave him an 8 game suspension, it's just that he had to sit out another 7 while they thought about it.
I'll throw this out as a ballpark for discussion. Any kind of violent offence - whether against a man, woman, child, animal etc - should be:
- A minimum suspension of 16 games in which they are contracted to a team & fit to play (ie games don't count if they're injured or not signed)
- A fine equivalent to 16 game checks (to be donated in full to an appropriate charity)
- Allowing their team the opportunity to void the contract without having to pay any remaining guarantees.
Players are potentially losing all of their future money & still having to pay back another year of game checks on top of it. Could probably tier offences & make a sliding scale based on which tier the offence falls into (ie 8 games for a minor offence, 16 for a moderate one & 24+ for something really bad), but they really need to start coming down much harder on some of these incidents.
I think he might just have been, to be fair.
:D
Fair point.
I meant something more along the lines of them having to pull together a search party to locate a missing kneecap or something.
Talk now is that it might have been the mother, which would be kinda ironic since she’s the same person he hit before & she was pregnant with the child that’s just been hurt at the time of that incident.
Manziel to the AAF.
Bengals have signed Kaepernick.
1 year $3.6m deal.
What a day
On the downside though, Max Unger has apparently retired. No fucking clue what we're doing at center now, although I'd assume it's Cameron Tom. Probably means interior O-line becomes an immediate priority in the draft too, considering we were already likely to be thinking about someone to replace Andrus Peat at LG.
Indeed :moop:
Looks legit but the account is a fake ffs. Bleacher Repart, ugh.
Bleacher REPART :D
Manziel better not be a lie too.
EDIT: Phew.
Memphis have taken Johnny Dickhead.
I didn't want to speak it into life earlier but that is just absolutely perfect. Exactly the place I hoped he'd go. Manziel & Hackenberg on the same team
Fitzmagic is back
It’s been a magical weekend for quarterback signings.
Not a magical one for Montez Sweat though:
Could be a steal for someone if he drops down the board.
Sweat dropping to us would be nice.
Also, Fitzmagic
He was one of the names talked up a lot for the Titans before the combine, so that might be as far as he drops. Then again, the Giants could always take him at 6...
I can only assume the Giants have to be taking a QB and they see one they really like, or else what are you doing with that trade(don't agree with it anyway)?
Their pick at #17 could be anything that isn't QB or RB. Or not, who knows. They're fucking stupid still anyway.
They're taking Daniel Jones so you've pretty much got the NFC East wrapped up for the next decade.
Not so sure about that. Wentz has been injured come play-off time the past 2 season. In Foles we had the best possible backup. We've also lost Hicks and we don't have Ajayi any more either.
Josh Adams looked decent but Clement blows hot and cold. Beyond that there isn't anything. I expected we'd try and get in on Tevin Coleman or send feelers out on Bell, but maybe we're saving for the draft.
Could be our solution at center, apparently.
Burfict has been cut by the Bengals. It’ll be interesting to see who, if anyone, picks him up now.
I’d say Washington could pair him with Reuben Foster for the ultimate douchebag LB duo, but he’s not from Alabama so maybe not.
Bortles to the Rams.
They better wrap Goff in bubble wrap.
I've just looked at the AAF team names for the first time. You'd have thought one of them might have managed to come up with something that isn't a bit rubbish.
Josh Jacobs ran a 4.6 at Bama pro day.
Could see him falling out of the first round.
He only really has Philly & Oakland as likely landing spots anyway, so top 50 was always the more reasonable range. I’d still expect him to stay there though - it’s not a great time, but it’s tolerable for what he is. Oakland’s early second rounder is the spot I’d be looking at most, to be honest.
This RB class is the worst in several years though, so we’re not going to see many guys go before day three (I’d guess maybe 5 - Jacobs, Sanders, Henderson, Harris & Montgomery). Could be some nice value in the later rounds though.
Yeah, we'd have been heavy favourites for him had we not gotten Ingram.
And we thought DK’s agilities were bad :|
Also Clay Matthews has gone to the Rams, Randall Cohn to Dallas & Burfict to the Raiders.
I read somewhere that Burfict has totalled almost $5 million in fines since entering the league.
Will be interesting to see if Mr. Big Chest holds any resentment for his multiple cheap shots in the AFC North bloodbaths.
Three seasons running he’s been suspended for the opening game
Gronk has just retired.
Probably should have gone the year before as he was horseshit for the vast majority of last season.
Maclin has also retired.
Yeah but he didn't know he'd get one going into the season.
There's only like 3 teams in the AFC now the Steelers are looking shitter. All on Mahomes and Big Dick Nick to stop them now, but it's almost a guaranteed appearance in the championship game.
EDIT: Disclaimer. We don't yet know just how good the Browns will be.
They're the Browns, they'll still be shit.
Over/under on 10.5 wins for the Browns? I'd be tempted to say over.
Depends how good Kitchens is with pressure on him.
They should be winning that division now.
I know it'll be tough and it has been a long long time since they've done it, but with their talent on the roster now, why not?
Mayfield genuinely seems to be that incredible franchise QB they've been dreaming of, they have young WR, RB & TE talent, and a dominating defence. They play the AFC East (should be 3 wins), NFC West (2 wins), AFC North twice (4 wins), Broncos & Titans (2 wins).
Sophmore slump for Mayfield and 8-8.
Packers v Bears to start the season, to celebrate the oldest rivalry in the sport.
Eagles trading for Jordan Howard
Hello
Good move, I like Howard a lot.
Bad news for Josh Jacobs, mind. Really looking at that early second round pick for Oakland as the landing spot now.
Pick is a 2020 sixth that could become a fifth, apparently.
That's a #NewProfilePic sorted.
Seems very cheap too. Howie fucking Roseman.
Just absolutely decimating his draft stock since the season ended.
The AAF is kicking the bucket.
Disappointing but I didn't bother with it after week 2.
How dare they deny us Johnny Football and Hackenberg on the same roster.
They're just scared of the XFL.
Can’t wait to see where Trent signs
Press F to pay respects.
Isn't that a bit like us announcing that effectively immediately all TTH posters are authorised to sign with NFL clubs?
Yes, if we were about to close down the website.
I would like to officially offer my services as Patriots third string QB.
I'm going for more my skill level and offering my services as Swoop.
https://i.gyazo.com/8a31fbb150a722fb...e1b65d773b.png
What skill does the third QB for the Pats need?
The ability to fetch Brady some Gatorade/water and clean his Super Bowl rings?
I mean, you'd have to wear a Pats jersey.
I'm out.
Holy shit JJAW (Stanford WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside, a former basketball player who DOMINATES in the red zone) ran a 4.49 at his pro day today :cab:
That's him up into the second round then. This WR class is full of massive freaks.
The Jets are unveiling some new Jerseys live on Facebook and it's full of cringe and is being dragged out far too long.
Ryan Grant, who we almost signed last year on a 4 year $29m contract has gone to the Raiders on a 1 year $2.5m deal.
Gotham Green and Spotlight White uniforms. They look more like College Jerseys to be fair.
Lol at the state of him if he genuinely held a grudge because McCarthy didn't draft him while coaching another team.
Rodgers does seem like the type.
The article basically says Rodgers is a prick. I could have told them that in a paragraph.
We are saved as we have acquired a TOP TOP TOP WR...
Seth Roberts on a 1 year deal, a man who has never topped 500 yards in his 4 seasons.
AB really is a bit of a dick.
Guys had a top quality QB with an arm cannon throwing it to him all of his career after just about getting drafted.
I guess we'll see how talented he really is with Derek Carr throwing to him instead.
So AB isn't good now because his QB was competent?
I'm not suggesting he's bad, but he's been on a high powered offence with good QB all his life.
Mr. Big Checks has been writing a lot of them with his mouth this off season and he's going to have a line of people waiting to cash in at this rate.
Seeing him flop would be wonderful.
It would be amazing if he's able to come back one day.
It'd be amazing if he could just live a normal, healthy life with full physical capacity, to be fair. Not sure anyone would sign off on letting him play again no matter how well he recovers, or if he'd even want to, but considering people were crying when Teddy stepped on the field again the entire stadium would probably drown itself if Shazier even put a helmet on again.
They'll take him on for a commemorative down, maybe for a QB kneel some time. That'll be about it.
Yeah. Not sure a player expected to thump folk he'd ever be allowed back even if he got back to an appropriate fitness and level of quality. He'd have to sign a slip basically signing off any right whatsoever to compensation. Even then the NFL might say no.
Coaching/PR seems/inspirational speaker seems more likely.
Fournette has been arrested for speeding & driving with a suspended license. He’s already had all the guaranteed money in his deal voided after last season.
We need a new place for players to go to die now the Browns are actually good.
Raiders although the Browns will still shit the bed.
Cincinnati, Washington & Detroit all seem like solid.contenders to me.
Miami & Oakland are the other ones, and probably the best options right now, but they both might actually have a plan, so they could be the first ones of the bunch to actually get their shit together. The other three just feel eternally stuck in nothingness.
Cincinnati are just perennial disappointments. The only season where they showed any promise was 2015 before Dalton broke his finger, and even then they managed to throw away that chance of a play off win.
Buffalo could also take that title. No one wants to play up in the frozen wastes really when you could be living it up in sunnier pastures with teams that actually have a chance.
The Browns have found a way to revert to shitness in the past, let's not write them off just yet.
Buffalo is a good shout in the meantime.
When your head coach has to come out and defend the place and insist people do actually want to come and sign for you, it's never a good sign.
https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/04/12/xf...ay-oliver-luck
Gadget plays ahoy.
Russ got paid
Four years and $140 million, with $107 million guaranteed and includes a no-trade clause.
Woof, although he probably deserves it. He is their entire offense.
In the top 3 QBs in the league I'd say, so he was always getting paid.
100/1000/10 season incoming then I guess.
Not going to bother with Wembley this year but I might go to the two at Spurs.
I’m away for the Rams game (typical..) but I’ll do the other 3 and just find someone to use my ticket for that one.
I've still never been, but I do fancy it this year. Might see if I can make one at each.
Chiefs have paid BIG for Frank Clark.
First round pick this year, second round pick next year and swap of third round picks this year.
That's not much less than my boys paid for Odell, and Clark is on a tag so they'll still need to negotiate a contract with him won't they?
They've just announced it.
5 years, $105.5m with $63.5m guaranteed.
Wowzers. Chiefs are definitely trying to win now.
Frank Clark just dominated Kolton Miller at Wembley last season so I bet he’s delighted to get to face him twice a season now.
Yeah, he was all over him.
It was fascinating to watch, he had the beating of him almost every snap.
Lynch has retired again.
Lord Justin Tucker has also been given a new 4 year contract.
Draft tomorrow apparently :|
I'm going to watch it but I'm fully expecting us to trade down, possibly even to 32nd or out of the first round altogether.
Especially as a report has been 'released' stating that we're very interested in Josh Jacobs. That should scare the shit out of the Raiders who pick a couple after us and there should still be a handful of TOP PROSPECTS (all the WRs, OL guys and possibly Sweat/Ferrell) available for us to still take one and gather some extra picks.
Whispers of the Cardinals trading their number one pick to the Raiders :D
Redskins are rumoured to be moving up to the top 5 from 15 which would be a HEFTY price.
Last team to do that was the Eagles for Wentz. Traded from I think 14 to 2.
Clearly not convinced by Alex smiths recovery then.
I think Round 1 starts at 1am tonight, so no sleep for me
Really looking forward to it, and I've got tomorrow off to catch up on my sleep. I'm binge listening to the Around the NFL podcast today to get me in the mood.
Fuck watching the draft. It’s the most boring thing I’ve ever tried to sit through.
That it's a big draw as a televised event is reasonably high on my list of shit I simply cannot understand. Why you wouldn't watch literally anything else and just read results and stories as they come out is entirely beyond me.
I personally enjoy the event as it's nice to have something NFL related on TV through the long off-season. The coverage is generally detailed and in-depth, and I like to get a look at some of the lesser known names coming into the league, especially as I don't follow any college football.
Plus, David Akers made it all worth it last year (although admittedly that was the 2nd round).
Akers was the highlight of the draft.
Couldn't write it better after Pearson had given the Eagles fans in Philly shit the year before.
Just watch the Bleacher Report or Draft Network streams instead of the actual NFL coverage - they’ll also be slightly ahead on the picks, but I’m never sure whether I actually like that or not.
Anyone done a mock draft?
I'm really struggling with Tampa bay at 5. Absolutely no idea where they go. Probably a trade.
I have time to kill, so here are a couple of different first round mocks, a normal one & a spicy one:
Normal:
Toggle Spoiler
Spicy:

Four hours to go.
I'm going to stay away from the chatter now but there seem to be a few picks in the top ten that are almost nailed on if the player is still there, and a couple that looked to be that might be suddenly swinging in a different direction.
I am 99% sure that we will trade down.
That is my mock.
The Cardinals are probably praying for someone to take Kyler Murray off their hands.
My money is on the Ravens or god fucking forbid the Dolphins or Jets :sherlock:
Why would we want a speedy QB who can't pass? We've already got one.
Edit: Oh and at least ours doesn't have the physique of a 14 year old.
Anthem Watch:
Little bit of a slow rendition but still a cracking set of pipes and at least she isn't fucking about with it bar the speed.
Curveball, Cards take Bosa here and Murray slips out of the top 5.
The Lions want to trade down to the Falcons pick.
It's started
The annual booing of the NFL commissioner never gets old :D
Mariota :D
I'm glad the Eagles dickhead didn't win.
That list of first round picks under Steve Keim is disgustingly bad.
Oh shit the Bengals want Murray :D
No they don't.
Smith was just saying that they might be willing to move up and take a QB. They wont have enough capital to go up to 1 or 2.
CBS just confirmed it's Murray.
Amazing.
I predict that he will miss at least 6 games due to injury this season.
He won't last a season.
Rosen is potentially getting traded to either Redskins or Giants apparently.
Fuck me they locked him into a 4 year contract worth over $35m :D
That's bold and stupid.
Nick Bosa is going to destroy Kyler.
If we're trading down the Raiders are going to sneak in I feel.
...or someone like the Broncos or something.
They weren't going to trade down with Quinnen Williams/Josh Allen there.
Yeah we took Williams.
Jets have a scary defence now.
Smart choice here is Ed Oliver or Josh Allen.
Raiders move is a QB.
I was hearing rumours that he'd be available in the 20s.
:D
They fucked it.
They could have gotten him with their next pick. Possibly.
Why not Allen?
CBS had him at 21, 16, 21, 16, 21, 21 in their mocks :D
Apparently Oliver and Allen have the same agent as Khalil Mack so they didn't want to go down that road :harold:
So Josh Allen to the Giants then?
Read a few reports saying that Devin White MIGHT slip to us at 22 but I felt him going out of the top 10 would be crazy.
So a younger version of Eli.
Got it.
Jaguars
I thought they were going for a lineman here but they clearly couldn't say no to Allen.
:D
Stunning.
Cards have fucked this hard.
They set too big a price on derpy Rosen and now they'll have to hope that someone will be willing to give a third. They've lost all the BIG trade partners now.
Eagles trolled Texans hard.
Jumped above them to take the player they wanted and they panicked MASSIVELY.
Edit: HOLLYWOOD!!!!!!!!!!!
Still think we should have taken Cody Ford but it's still a HUGE pick.
As soon as I saw we traded up I knew the Josh Jacobs dream was over. Still top work gazumping the Texans like that.
It's never flashy taking a tackle there but the team is pretty stacked in most places. Maybe a little weak at corner for my liking but it's been fine in the play-offs the past 2 seasons.
Well that was one of the most predictable top 10s I can recall. Glad I decided not to bother getting up after my pre-draft nap now :D
Clelin Ferrell was the only big shock - even Pittsburgh coming up for Devin Bush wasn't all that surprising. Houston taking Tytus Howard was the obligatory 'lolwut' pick for this year, especially as Jawaan Taylor, Cody Ford & Dalton Risner are all still on the board. Falcons trading up for Kaleb McGary gets a similar response. Lindstrom & Savage might be surprises, but they're both quality players (Savage in particular has the most enjoyable film to watch of anyone in the draft), and
Dillard & Hollywood should be a couple of good picks, and Denver did well trading back & taking Fant, but the Titans taking Jeffery Simmons might be the best pick of the round. Sure he'll miss most/all of next season, but he's an absolute monster & putting him with Harold Landry is almost enough to make me a secret Titans fan. Panthers getting Brian Burns is up there too.
Also this is an exceptional tweet:
The Denver pick feels a bit underwhelming but hopefully we'll make up for it with the extra pick. (We won't.)
That all sounds boring.
Tyreek Hill is done.
Kansas City Chiefs general manager Brett Veach told reporters Thursday night that wide receiver Tyreek Hill "will not take part in any team activities" for the foreseeable future after a television station aired audio that shows Hill telling his fiancee about punching and using a belt to discipline their son one day after prosecutors reluctantly declined to file charges in a domestic incident.
Mong.
Less than eight hours later, KCTV in Kansas City aired part of an 11-minute audio file in which Hill's fiancee, Crystal Espinal, tells Hill their son had said, "Daddy did it."
Hill denies any role in what happened to the child's arm, adding: "He says Daddy does a lot of things."
She also tells Hill their son is "terrified of you."
Hill replies, "You need to be terrified of me, too, b----."
Later in the conversation, Espinal asks Hill, "What do you do when the child is bad? You make him open up his arms and you punch him in the chest."
What an absolute cunt.
I find it amusing that the NFL make such a big deal about all these interviews draft-bods have to do and the psychological profiling they get up to. Either they take no real heed of it (likely) or it's just absolute shite (also likely) seeing as every mongo and his dog seems to get through if they're athletically capable.
Guess KC'll have to wear it and then some other team will pick him up after he's served his half-season ban or whatever it will be.
He also punched and strangled his fiance when she was pregnant just before the draft.
So no one could have seen this coming.
Enjoyed that. Seems wild that th cardinals are deciding to move on already. If Rosen was pissed at going tenth last year he will probably explode today.
I can't wait for New England to take Rosen for a mid second rounder & end up with another decade of playoff football once Brady is done.
Couldn't help but notice the three other AFC East teams all took athletic, penetrating interior defensive lineman :sherlock:

Shitloads of talent left, with plenty of room for surprise reaches still. This class isn't great on R1 talent, but there are a fuckload of players in the R2-R4 range, so we should get some serious value the rest of the way. I think day two is my favourite day of the draft
Tyreek Hill is vermin but then we all knew that before all this happened.
I was reading somewhere that Metcalf's cone agility numbers were around Tom Brady's at the combine. Dude is a bust waiting to happen.
He wont be a bust but he'll only really be someone who runs a very basic route tree (go routes pretty much).
The size and speed will ensure that he's not a failure but he wont be a star.
That's some nice business by the Dolphins. Last year's 10th overall pick for 48th this year.
Per MMQB, the Cardinals only began to legitimately shop Rosen minutes before the draft's 8 p.m. ET start time. And they were hard-line on wanting a first-round pick, something that no team would give up.
Minutes before? They had fucking months to try and deal him.
I think everyone has known their hand for the last month at least.
GMs are super paranoid though. Even if they can only sow the tiniest shred of doubt they'll frequently do it.
Rosen cost them a 1st, a 3rd and a 5th last year. Throw in the 1st they spent on Murray and even getting a second back is terrible business, and that’s ignoring the millions they paid out to Bradford and Glennon.
Next round starts at 11 right?
Man, that special piece on Dalton Reisner is something.
Seems to be a legitimately brilliant guy. Hope he gets drafted early tonight and has a long career.
Yeah, they were bad. Probably why most big receivers don't actually run them. Everything else was on Calvin Johnson's level though.
If teams use him correctly he could be an absolute monster - easily the highest ceiling WR in the class - but if he gets drafted to a bad situation where he's expected to do things he doesn't excel at it'll be much harder for him.
I was hoping for him to the Raiders yesterday, so I'll carry that over to their early second rounder. Or you can let him slip all the way to New Orleans if you like
I might bet on him to be Walter Payton Man of the Year in his rookie year.
What a guy.
Goddell should just walk around Nashville with Eddie George and Tim McGraw constantly.
Probably the best reception that 'he' has ever had.
Sounds like Byron Murphy to the Cardinals. I'm watching BR today so I have no idea how early they're tipping picks, but they're already recording their reaction video so it seems pretty certain.
Here's the link if anyone wants to watch. Did BR last year too & their coverage is pretty solid.
Might go for the TDN stream tomorrow to complete the set.
Reggie Wayne :D

We're fucking ahead of you by these posts.
I'm ahead now. Skipped to catch up on BR & opened the NFL stream to compare.

Someone should tell Jim Brown what year it is :D
We've traded up with Miami :uhoh:
Marquise Blair is a good old Seattle pick. They just seem to have a completely different draft board to everyone else. Good player, but another guy who's probably a round ahead of where he should be.
Dolphins trading down to get some more capital to sweeten the pot for Rosen?
Fuck the Saints.
He was never going to drop to us in the third round but still. FUCK YOU.
OH YES I LIKE THAT ONE
I'd have fallen off my chair if we'd have taken DK, but Erik McCoy should immediately be our new starting center, and we now have depth at O-line again.
It'd be great if we could stop giving away premium picks for the following year, mind. Surely we didn't need to throw in a 2020 second rounder to move up 15 spots?
Colts just loading up on second round edge rushers the last two drafts - Tyqwan Lewis & Kemoko Turay last year, now Banogu.
Vikings having a nice draft so far.
Knew that was coming.
I like AJ a lot.
Nice pick for the Titans. Surprised Miami haven't made the move for Rosen yet.
Didn't expect Sample so early - had him as a day three guy.
Drew Sample?
Can he even catch?
You can scoop blocking TE's out of a bucket.
He's solid all round, but probably not good enough as a pass catcher to justify the pick. Guess he could get the Kyle Rudolph path to success.
They already had a blocking TE (who they overpaid) in Uzomah too.

And with that, Tyreek Hill the piece of shit is replaced.
WR run is starting. Eagles pick JJAW
DK, Hakeem Butler & Kelvin Harmon still on the board, mind.
Read that we were VERY INTERESTED in JJ if he was there in the third.
Also, I wonder what odds you'd have gotten on JJ going ahead of DK.
Matt Miller says the talk on DK is that people think he's on steroids so he's slipping because of that (on top of the medical concerns that come with breaking your neck).
Luck is going to love Campbell.
That's a great pick.
That's a fun pick for sure. He's the guy I'd have down as being the closest to matching Tyreek Hill's ceiling, but you're relying on him being able to run deep routes rather than just drags & screens.
Adderley and Derwin
That's another fun pick.

Khalen Saunders is a fun pick for KC too. Sticking him with Nnadi & Chris Jones should make a nice interior trio.
And there's our mother fucking edge rusher.
Easy to see why people rave about him
Oh, and by the way, HOW IS CHAUNCEY GARNER-JOHNSON STILL ON THE BOARD?!?
Texans make the best pick so far by taking Kahale Waring, but even he might not end up being an impact starter. Still, for guy who's played 1-2 years of football in his life (I think he's the guy who had to Google 'tight end' when he was asked to play there because he literally didn't know what that was) he's done pretty well for himself & he's got some decent potential.
Patriots grab another Patriot guy in Damien Harris. They have a billion RBs now, but this might be curtains for Rex Burkhead, and if they take James Williams tomorrow then that'll be James White replaced too.
Seattle going back to their usual thing of drafting guys two rounds early by taking Cody Barton (might be more than two rounds early, to be honest).

Nope. That's N'Keal Harry. He doesn't have the same freak athleticism, I think he was somewhere in the region of 4.5 in the 40, but he's elusive for a big man and has excellent hands, based on the tape I watched which had me hoping the Browns would draft him until they traded for OBJ. There's a reason he's the first receiver Belichik has taken in the first round since he joined the Pats. I reckon he'll be OROY, barring something mental from one of the first round TEs. He'll be comfortably the best WR to come out of this draft, both immediately and long term.
Browns getting Greedy in the middle of the second then bringing in a linebacker with a terrific name in the third. They're going 12-4 this year.
Mahomes is going to properly flop this year compared to expectations. I wouldn't be surprised if he throws less than thirty touchdowns, and if he's upwards of forty I'll be fucking astonished. I'll put him at around 26-28.
Okay, I like this a lot.
Still need an interior OL but I like big WRs.
Nah, N'Keal is good but his ceiling is highest because he's on the Patriots. He's not got great separation ability, but as you say he's a good runner with the ball in his hands & he can bring in some stupid catches. It'll all come down to whether he can actually separate at the next level, but I can see him having a Corey Davis-esque start to his career if things don't go his way. Then again, he's on the Patriots so of course things will go his way.
Miles Boykin is a nice upside pick for Baltimore, and Oshane Ximines could be okay for the Giants I guess. Jamel Dean to Tampa is fine by me.
Bills pick:
Toggle Spoiler
Bills are another team high up the 'good draft' list
Bobby Evans is a nice pick for the Rams. Could be the guy who ends up taking over from Andrew Whitworth.
Okay, we've had the first player drafted I've literally never heard of. Well done Jacksonville & Quincy Williams. Both DJ & Matt Miller haven't even bothered to grade him, and I don't think any of the internet guys have either :D He's Quinnen's brother though, apparently.
Mike Edwards to the Bucs is solid.
Not confirmed yet, but potentially huge news on the Carolina pick...
Toggle Spoiler
It is that & I have no idea what to think.
Figured the Patriots would take at least one lineman after all those DTs joining the AFC East yesterday. It'll be interesting to see whether he stays at tackle or moves inside to guard.
Vikings have their replacement for Latavius now.
Walterfootball doesn't have him in his top 500 prospects and Draftscout have him listed at safety with no rankings or anything.
Sounds like they could have picked him up as a UDFA.
You have to assume they had some intel that suggested at least 1-2 other teams had r3/4 grades on him, otherwise what the fuck are they doing taking a known UDFA candidate on day two?
Talk to me about Drew Lock, college nerds.
I like the sound of this DT we've taken.
He's the usual Elway QB - white, tall, mobile & has a big arm - but he's actually got a shot to be a legit starter. Really likeable guy, and it sounds like he idolises Elway, so it should be a good fit, and there was talk they'd take him at 10 so it's great value as well.
I really like Dre'Mont Jones too - he's not the greatest run defender, but he's a great option as a gap shooter & pass rusher. You should be VERY happy with the last two drafts.
Drafts or picks?
The analysts said that Drew Lock's NFL comparison is Jay Cutler.
So good luck with that.
I've updated the watch lists.

Drafts. 2018 was a great draft & this one has been one of the better ones too so far. Houston is the only one I can think of that's legitimately questionable off the top of my head though.
QB - Lock
RB - Lindsay & Freeman
WR - Sanders, Sutton & Hamilton
TE - Fant
That's a tasty offence, and Risner should be great for the line too.
We have 5 picks left (three in the 4th, 1 in the 5th and 1 in the 6th).
Got to imagine we'll target an interior OL (probably two), a MLB, a DB and then either another WR, DL or RB.
Oh and you can never rule out a TE ofc.
Day 3 is starting now.
Starting strong

We've traded up again...
Fucking LOL :alan: He's my 20th best player in the entire class. We've crushed our first two picks.
And got the guy you love.
Why are picks being spoilered? Nobody would watch this back.
He might be the long term nickel guy for us after Patrick Robinson.
Marcus Williams
Vonn Bell
Marshon Lattimore
Eli Apple
Chauncey Gardner-Johnson
That's a quality set of DBs

To be honest the picks will be coming so fast today there probably won't be much difference by the time I've managed to type the pick out.
Julian Love is a great pick there.
And I don't care Dan, I usually only refresh/post when I see the latest pick.
PUNTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Let's go bitches.
PUNTER TIME
Rich Eisen's reaction was great.
They're people too you know.
Kendall Sheffield is all kinds of fast, but also bad.
I like that the Redskins got their two first round picks to announce a pick.
Bryce Love, huh?
Love, Guice, AP & Chris Thompson all on the roster, plus Fat Rob & Samaje Perine still there (I think?).
I'm not getting these picks any quicker at this point.
Hmm, would have thought we'd target an interior OL first but I guess we really liked Justice Hill.
We did need some sort of home run guy though.
Yo, that's a great pick 'how. He's your very own Kamara.
Vikings take Dru Samia. That O-line is looking much better now with Elflein-Bradbury-Samia in the middle.
OH SHIT, Carolina have Brian Burns & Christian Miller :uhoh:
Speed & bend FOR DAYS.
Justice Hill, Hollywood & Loomar running a jet motion/triple option offence
Sheldrick Redwine to the Browns
Seahawks building a WR group of terminators with DK & Gary Jennings. Tyler Lockett is going to look like a child next to them.
Trevon Wesco
Benny Snell is a proper Steelers pick. He likes to refer to himself in the third person too :D
Mo announcing with braille
Hero.
And we get a fucking guard \0/.
There's your lineman. Not as mean as Samia, but he's solid.
Chuck in another big, mean dude with Phil Haynes.
Yeah, R4 is the round of big, physical dudes. This is Renell Wren:
---
Anthony Miller & Riley Ridley on the same team suggests Chicago are going full technician squad at WR.
Saw Iman mocked to us a lot here.
I fucking love him already.
Tony Pollard is the new Tavon Austin.
Trayvon Mullen, Isaiah Johnson & Gareon Conley might be the biggest CB room in the league.
Great pick from the Chargers. Drue Tranquill is a super high character guy & a pretty good LB for R4. Tranquill & Derwin will own that locker room.
There's the second guy I've never heard of, thanks Washington.
Ugo Amadi could be Seattle's new Earl Thomas, but apparently they've announced him as a corner so that'll be interesting.
Patriots take Jarrett Stidham
If they follow this up with Foster Moreau...
Has it got to round 5 yet so Gutekunst can draft more shit receivers to go with all the shit receivers he already has?
Still 6/7 picks left in R4.
Big Greg  That's Suh's replacement sorted.
Well hello John Cominsky! I expected him to be a R6-UDFA guy, but this should be an interesting one to keep an eye on.
Is Iman someone who will switch to safety in the league, Dan?
I thought we'd go for someone like Deionte Thompson as we need safety depth more than CB. Or one of those tweeners who can play both.
Yeah, I'd imagine so. He's big, slow & likes to tackle, so he does seem more like a safety.
Speaking of Deionte Thompson, he's just gone to Arizona.
Well I guess that's why we didn't pick Thompson.
Kicker run
Let's go.
Phonetic pronunciation :D
Amani Oruwariye is a great value in R5, and the Bills are taking Vosean Joseph, which is another decent value.

EDIT: And there goes Keke.
Apparently Dallas have asked Trysten Hill to sign a contract with a work ethic clause :cab:
"I do this with every guy from a free agent to a draft pick, just my own copy of it, back and forth, front and back," Marinelli said, via Clarence Hill of the Star-Telegram . "It talks about how we play, what I ask of you in practice, day of games, all of it. I am very clear of it.
"I said to him, 'If it doesn't fit you, tell me now, because you will not be happy here. I told him to keep it, and he said, 'Coach I feel great about this.' It's just about how you play. It's a lot of different things, but how you carry yourself, how you play in our system. The effort and the want to, every snap. We're unique that way -- how hard we practice and play. I usually see that on film early with guys. He really plays hard. If you watch his tape, he really hustles. That's the passion we want in these guys."
It's just Marinelli being an idiot 'I WANT 200% 150% OF THE TIME' American.
Washington continuing the Alabama revolution.
And there goes Mack Wilson. Cleveland sweeping up some nice value in this draft.
Jets taking Blake Cashman is a steal. I know people who had a first round grade on him, but I'd have put him in R3 & felt good about it.
I think it's quite telling that we didn't use one of our three selections in the fourth to take Wilson. Must have taken him off our board or had him much lower.
Starting to think that we wont draft a MLB and instead scoop a star UDFA again.
Someone like Deshaun Davis or Cameron Smith could be an option late.
EDIT:
https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/...ecta%21_MJ.png
Daylon Mack is a nice pick.
And we finally see Omenihu go. I'd imagine he'll play on the interior for Houston, but he could probably replace Clowney too (although obviously nowhere near as good).
Cameron Smith gone to the Vikings now.
PATRIOT PUNTER!
We might even see the long snapper go at this rate.
And there's the next guy I've never heard of. EJ Speed sounds like a fake name, and there was even confusion whether he's a WR or a LB, so he's super under the radar.
QB RUN! Easton Stick to the Chargers is interesting, and Clayton Thorson should be a solid Nick Foles replacement for the Eagles.
Two punters & two kickers drafted by the end of R5
Giants have their new big, fast WR, and Atlanta have the fourth guy I don't know. He's the first one from a big school too - Jordan Miller from Washington.
Don't forget, the Patriots TRADED UP to get one of those punters.
Bucs traded up for their kicker too.
Cardinals take their third WR, but still no linemen.
I had forgotten about that, what a mess they are.
Pats are probably just bored though, they always do mental things on day 3.
They have a billion picks anyway so they may as well chuck a couple away as they won't be able to roster everyone the draft.
:D
dots
Not sure what I want here. Kelvin Harmon or Stanley Morgan, maybe.
Not entirely sure we needed another safety but okay.
Is Thorson any more than just taking a punt given it was R5?
We don't exactly have back up for Wentz these days and he has a tendency to die in December.
He's not one of the ones I watched, but from what I heard he's a solid backup/low end starter type. There was talk of him being a R3 guy, so it's decent value.
Minshew to the Jags
Here is Walterfootball's review of him:
Quote:
Clayton Thorson has good potential to become a solid starting quarterback in the NFL. Clayton Thorson is very smart and has great intangibles and solid arm strength. Thorson fell to the fifth round because he struggled at times at Northwestern, but only because he was surrounded with the worst supporting cast of any quarterback in this class. Had Thorson been complemented by capable athletes, he may have been chosen in the second round. This is a steal.
Jaquan Johnson is great value for R6, as is Trayveon Williams.
Time to get the gif of Travis Fulgham mowing a guy 30 yards downfield as a run blocker.
Add Drew Forbes & Marcus Epps to the ??? club, and Vikings add another lineman in Oli Udo
Trace McSorley, what a name.
Oh yes
He's the perfect backup for Loomar, and he's a Baker-esque personality (as is Minshew).
Marcus Green, Duke Shelley, Scott Miller & Donovan Wilson to the ??? crew.
Trace McSorley was so good at Penn state. Such a winner.
Really happy for him getting drafted and drafted to a spot he has a chance at. Shame the ravens are unlikeable.
Menshaw getting drafted too is class
Grier going to the panthers is proper weird. His dad will be delighted though, he's been coaching at a school in Carolina (qb1 on Netflix). Waterside or something? The place where it was the new high school programme and the qb went to wake forest (and was the starter as a freshman).
I didn't realise that was Will Grier's Dad.
Harmon goes at last. Washington having a good draft here.
Yeah, it's Oceanside rather than waterside but chad grier is his name.
Should have said earlier but I'm also gutted hunter Renfrew went to the raiders. Good he gets to work with AB but I'd have rather him be on a more likeable team.
The Seahawks grabbed burr-keiven the Washington line backer who tackled everyone and everything.
Great pick.
Bengals stacking up on LBs & RBs. Two good picks though. Deshaun Davis is probably a pure run stopper, but they raved about him at Auburn.
Panthers taking Dennis Daley is good value too.
We've even got a fullback drafted now  It's not one of the 3/4 I've heard of either.
Alize Mack in the seventh is nice. Still got one pick to come as well.
Two FBs & I've heard of this one  Still at least two more out there...
Dillon Mitchell this late is fantastic value.
LONG SNAPPER DRAFTED!!! :rave: It's not even the one I'd heard of. There are two of them!
Dakota Allen getting drafted is a great story too.
EDIT: Holy shit Dane Bruger graded SIX long snappers & the guy who got drafted wasn't one of them :D
I love that Ryan Succop, current Tennessee Titans kicker, has to introduce himself to the crowd in Nashville, Tennessee :D
Caleb Wilson is Mr Irrelevant. Somewhat fitting that they sign one of Josh Rosen's best targets in college with the last pick.
AND NOW THE UDFA RACE BEGINS
Didn't take long. Imagine the throwing contests on that team
Panthers need to stop taking players I like.
Why did we let them get Meyers?
Broncos with another solid pickup.
EDIT: TDN have a tracker going already.
Emanuel Hall to Chicago, Stanley Morgan to Cincinnati & DaMarkus Lodge to Tampa Bay - three UDFA WRs who could become starters. Also sounds like there's confusion about whether Jakobi Meyers has gone to the Pats or Minnesota.
KC have signed Kyle Shurmur, Cody Thompson (WR) & Gary Johnson (LB), Miami got Terrill Hanks (LB) & Jonathan Ledbetter (DL/EDGE). The Saints, meanwhile, have signed a long snapper :moop:
I expect a MLB to sign with us soon, as well as some interior OL guys.
This Trevon Wesco fella?
Any good? :baz:
Can't forget the DL too.
YUP. He's not a dynamic athlete, but he's a good receiver & he'll dominate the run game - his coach at WVU called him their sixth offensive lineman.
Sounds like you've signed Greg Dortch as well, who's a tiny WR that will probably just be a kick returner, but he could be a pretty good one.
That's a great pickup.
So that was meant to be a Titans draft pick then?
If so then that's a fucking steal from the Jets.
UDFA WR updates:
- Preston Williams to Miami. The next Davante Parker
- Penny Hart to the Colts
- Falcons get Olamide Zacchaeus
- Bills sign Nick Easley
- Texans get Johnnie Dixon
All of these guys have a shot.
Also grabbed Michael Onuoha and Evan Worthington.
YAAAAS
EDIT: We've also picked up Carl Granderson (EDGE, recently accused of sexual assault, not sure what's happening with that)
James Williams signing with the Chiefs is terrifying. Their UDFA class is pretty strong so far,
Browns with a couple of nice pickups in Wyatt Ray & Darrin Hall.
Jags getting Joe Giles-Harris & Saivion Smith
Christian was a track and field athlete while in high school. He was the Maryland Indoor State Champion in the 55 meter with a time of 6.51 seconds.
He was timed on a stopwatch at 4.38 seconds in the 40-yard dash, meaning he is likely a low-to-mid 4.4s prospect. His explosiveness was equally as impressive, as he posted a broad jump of 10 feet and 6 inches, as well as a vertical jump of 36 inches. Those marks would be good for the 83rd and 57th percentiles among NFL wide receivers, respectively.
Seems to be what we're after these days.
@Sir Andy Mahowry :drool:
I need to watch Last Chance U now.
He & Dakota Allen are two of the most likeable players that have been on the show, so it's good to see them both getting their shot.
Bears have picked up Notre Dame OL Alex Bars :moop: If he's healthy he could be a steal. Sounds like they got his teammate Sam Mustipher too.
CJ Toogood
CJ Mosely's brother, Jamey, is joining the Jets.
I saw some mock drafts which had the Ravens taking Lil'Jordan in the third or fourth just last week so that's a great pick up.
Listening to the Raiders presser & Mike Mayock has come across brilliantly. Definitely reasons to be optimistic for the future if you're a Raiders fan.
They've also picked up Te'Von Coney now, apparently.
Rams now have John Kelly, Malcolm Brown, Justin Davis, Darrell Henderson & Matt Colburn on the roster behind Gurley :sherlock:
EDIT: The long snapper I'd heard of, Dan Godsil, has gone to the Bucs.
Fuck Last Chance U.
2020 is suck for Tua right?
Nah, I'm not convinced any of the guys next year are that much better than the guys we've had recently, and there are 4-5 of them again next year.
This was inevitable. I'd have called it if I hadn't completely forgotten he existed because he's so shit.
Apparently Doug Baldwin is strongly considering/already decided on retiring.
That's fine at this point. The Terminator Death Squad can just eat him & gain his power.
Not rate Justin Herbert any more?
I'd put the initial tiers like this:
Day 1 - Tua, Herbert, Fromm & Jacob Eason
Day 2 - Jordan Love, KJ Costello, Jalen Hurts (can't rule it out given the last two years) & Joe Burrow
Day 3/UFDA - Nate Stanley, Brian Lewerke, Shea Patterson, Jake Bentley, Felipe Franks, Sam Ehlinger, Kelly Bryant, Steven Montez, Branden Wimbush & Deondre Francois
Deondre Francois is interesting because he's been basically just mauled his entire college career because of Florida states lack of talent. Difficult to work out how good he really is when he's getting sacked or running for his life.
Joe burrows is a good one as he's helped make lsu relevant again in the sec. looks very composed.
Can’t remember for sure, but I think Francois basically torpedoed his career this year & almost declared because he knew he’d fucked FSU off too much, but then also realised he was shit & wouldn’t get drafted, so he’ll probably transfer.
Think he’s the dude who there were rumours going round about saying he’s been selling weed on campus.
He’s got no chance, is what I’m trying to say.
EDIT: Yep, FSU kicked him off the team in February for alleged domestic violence against his pregnant girlfriend
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...ed-in-shooting
New York Giants sixth-round pick Corey Ballentine was injured and a former teammate was killed in an off-campus shooting in Topeka, Kan., early Sunday morning, according to Washburn University.
The school confirmed that Washburn junior defensive back Dwane Simmons, 23, was killed in the shooting. Ballentine is expected to make a full recovery, the school said.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport added, per a source, that Ballentine's gunshot wound is "not life-threatening" and doctors say his recovery will take "a matter of weeks."
Well played.
Jesus :|
Also this is annoying:
He's got a legit chance at starting for them too, so that's a phenomenal signing on their part.
I'm not sure who he is but he had a legit chance at starting for us.
The LG and C spot is completely up in the air.
Did this already get posted?
Daniel jones seems to be getting a whole lot of stick having never thrown a pass in the NFL. Remember that dak was a fourth rounder and Russell Wilson a third whilst Paxton lynch was seen as a good pick in round 1. Until you get out there and try and run the system you really shouldn't be getting hammered. Jones was a legit first round talent to a lot of teams. The Giants taking him at 6 is a shock, but it's not worthy of the ire they've received.
Just got to hope the kid is as level headed as he seems and just ignores it.
Yeah, I think a lot of people just feel bad for him at this point. He’s perfectly fine as a QB, (not 6 overall good, but basically as good as Drew Lock who people would have been fine with at 10), it’s just an excuse to keep shitting on Dave Gettleman & the ‘he was coached by the same guy as the Mannings’ narrative.
He probably won’t be a star, but he’s got a very good shot at being an Andy Dalton type guy who just keeps things steadily ticking over for a decade.
He’s also a great punter
They have to have seen something they liked to have taken him there.
I think the bigger issue is their fans think they could have got Allen at #6 and then still caught Jones/Haskins at #17. Which is correct with hindsight but that's always 20/20.
Jones was always going to be there at 17.
They obviously shat themselves because the Redskins were probably talking up Daniel Jones but they always had Haskins above him.
They seem to think there were two teams that would have taken him before 17, and to be honest if they really believe he’s their franchise guy they should probably have traded up even higher to get him because QB.
Most draft gradings, for qhat little they're worth at this point in time, agree with Dan that Denver had a good one.
Other than USA today who seemed to write Lock off as a bad pick because Lynch didn't prove to be up to much which means Elway will never select a good QB.
Great logic, that.
I’ve just remembered you paid Jawuan(?) James this summer so part of me wonders if Risner was drafted to be the new center.
Not sure how much you’ll get from Hollins & Winfree beyond depth, but the other picks are all very good & if those two hit as well it’s great. A few nice UDFA pickups too in Joe Dineen (LB), Brett Rypien (QB) & Malik Reed (EDGE).
From what I've read Broncos/Redskins/Miami were going to take him before 17. In a way it makes more sense now then it did day of, I was also reading that Daniel Jones was 1. Playing with a lingering injury for much of the 2nd half of the season, but then played incredible in Duke's bowl game / the Senior bowl (reflecting his true potential); 2. He had like 40+ dropped passes which skewed his production numbers, so that they are fairly misleading on their face.
The team around him was trash for sure, but if people are judging him off his box scores they’re doing it wrong.
I can’t imagine Denver taking him (apparently they had Lock as their top QB, but if that’s true Elway has monster balls for not just taking him at 10), and I’m not sure Miami would either when Rosen was still available for much less outlay, but Washington could have been an option & I guess there’s always a chance Cincy would have been interested or someone like the Patriots could have traded up.
Sounds like the Ravens have picked up Antoine Wesley as a UDFA. Great pickup to round out a rookie WR group with stupid upside.

We even took a long snapper.

I'm drafting him #1 overall out of fear.
Those foam arms he's wearing are about as convincing as a Tesco halloween costume.
Crowell has torn his Achilles so the Raiders have re-signed Doug Martin.
It'll be interesting to see how many of the AAF guys stick on a roster this season. I'm not expecting it to be many.
Clemson landed the #1 QB in this high school recruiting class, DJ Uiagaleilei (you can see him in the background of the second season of QB1 where he’s backing up Re-al Mitchell & comes across way better than Mitchell).
Looks like at least another 5yrs of Clemson v Alabama in the Natty...
Jason Pierre-Paul has fractured his neck in a car crash and will likely miss the whole season.
Ansah to the Seahawks on a 1yr deal, apparently.
I assume at some point somebody is going to make a documentary about the AAF and it's going to be interesting viewing.
https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/05/08/al...marshawn-lynch
Quote:
Another story that spread far across the AAF offices has Marshawn Lynch crashing the league’s quarterback draft last November at the Luxor casino in Las Vegas. According to one employee, Lynch, whose cousin Josh Johnson was the first pick in that draft, and who is notoriously media-averse, agreed to do a two-minute interview for the Alliance at that event in exchange for $5,000. But when a check was presented to Lynch, he asked that his money be delivered instead in quarters—which AAF co-founder Charlie Ebersol took seriously. In the end, 20,000 quarters were delivered to Lynch’s room and the interview apparently took place . . . but no one ever saw it. It didn’t air.
Quote:
At the outset of the AAF, theoretically as enticement to join the league, players were promised “coins” that could bolster their standard three-year, $250,000 deals. A player could earn a coin, for example, by scoring a touchdown, forcing a turnover or downing the football inside the 10-yard line on a punt. You could also earn a coin for doing community service. And at the end of the season those coins (the specific value of which, players report, was never detailed) would be tallied up and calculated into a bonus.
“Guys were excited, because you could do community service once a week,” says one player. “We were thinking, Oh, this is going to be easy money.”
As speculation swirled that the league was on shaky ground, however, players started to question the value of what they were really earning. One player who led his team in coins says it was a running joke to debate their worth based on the reported financial status of the league. “Is it seven dollars, or seven hundred?” he says, making note that in initial pitches the Alliance told some players they could feasibly double their salaries with coins. “Now,” he says, “I guess I’ll just go play Monopoly and win the same amount of money.”
Telvin Smith has decided to sit out the upcoming season to 'get his world in order'. Hopefully he's okay. Still not a good reason to draft Quincy Williams in the third though.
Oh, and Benjamin Watson has come out of retirement to catch 10 TDs for the Patriots.
What does he mean by that?
Dolphins have given Xavien Howard a 5 year $76.5m deal with $46m guaranteed.
Seahawks have cut Baldwin and Chancellor with failed physical designations and both are rumoured to announced their retirements.
Our new pass rusher, Jaylon Ferguson has a new daughter. Her name? Jrea Oneis Ferguson
Jets have fired their GM.
Lol. There was talk that he & Gase weren’t getting in already, apparently because Gase didn’t want to pay up for Bell, so he’d probably got his bags packed already.
Stick To Football power ranked the NFL teams on their podcast today, so I thought I'd give it a go as well:

I'm also going to throw out a couple of way too early bold predictions - 49ers & Bills get wildcards in their conferences.
This should be fun to laugh at in week two when it's already all completely blown out of the water.
Browns and Steelers above us :harold:
Sounds like Darron Lee has been traded to KC for a sixth rounder.
Patrick Peterson has been banned for 6 games.

The six-game suspension on a player's first violation stems from a positive test plus an attempt to manipulate or mask the result.
I wonder how he tried to mask the result.
Oh Pat :face:
We've signed Michael Floyd, Pernell McPhee (who was great for us, went and signed a HUGE contract with another team and turned to shit) and Shane Ray.
Bucs have cut Gerald McCoy
Reuben 'The Bastard' Foster has torn his ACL.
Talk is Gerald might go to the Saints  He’ll probably end up on the Patriots though.
Reuben Foster is going to end up being one of the bigger busts in recent memory given all he’s done is be injured and/or suspended since his rookie season.

Calm down mate.
Rodgers hates Game of Thrones ending too.
Bart Starr has died.
Richie Incognito to the Raiders. God I hope they’re on Hard Knocks and/or All Or Nothing this season
OBJ's orange Rolls Royce with the little stauette of himself in a Browns kit rising out of the front in place of the angel is one of the most vulgar things I've ever seen, and I could not love it more.
Seems to have come out of nowhere as it looked like it was between the Browns and Ravens.
It’s only a 1yr, $10.5m deal with $4m guaranteed too, so he must really think Carolina have a shot this year (or he must have really wanted to play against the Bucs twice).
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...eferianjenkins
:moop:
I thought he'd be a great sleeper this year.
He probably wouldn't have been even if he'd stayed on the team. The Patriots will just change their entire scheme to maximise their best players, so expect basically fuck all from the TEs & loads of work for the Edelman & all the RBs with Harry being the closest thing to a Gronk replacement.
Anyway, apparently Trent Williams wants to be traded as he's mad about how the team handled his injury. He's one of the best LTs in the league, so there should be some decent offers incoming. Probably not from Houston, Arizona or Seattle though, since they seem to love having a bad O-line. I wonder if someone like the Jets or Dolphins might make a play for him. Browns would be wise to see if they can make it work too.
Wentz extended. 4 more years, $154m. Paid.
Are the physios paid a percentage of his salary?
Houston GM fired.

That's a pretty surprising move, but then Houston have always felt like a front office that's permanently trying to stop itself from falling apart, so I guess it kinda fits.
He was also a borderline MVP candidate in their SuperBowl year & didn't actually regress that much last year. He'll probably never be an 'elite of the elite' type guys, but he's probably a top 10 QB in the league, so it's not like they're throwing big money at Jimmy G after less than half a season of games in his whole career.
They must be pretty happy with his health, or have some heavy safety nets in that contract to hand him all that money with this in mind.
The Foles point worries me though. Wentz has been great and lead us to the play-offs in 2 of his 3 years. However he's not been there to enjoy that. Foles was the perfect back up(I also think the team plays much better with him as QB). We should make the play-offs again this coming season, but we're all going to be holding our breath after every sack he takes.
https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/06/10/ke...jets-tight-end
This whole thing had completely passed me by.
There's also raping an unconscious teenager and more lewd shit like wanking in front of old women.
I read an article last night which had a bit of Jane Doe 2's accusation. He's absolutely vile.
We've locked up Cam Jordan until 2023
Oh, and there's this:
And Oakland gets Hard Knocks this year.
Gruden, Mayock, AB & Incognito should be worth a watch alone, then you add in Josh Jacobs' story & Foster Moreau's elite whistling ability & you've got an amazing Hard Knocks.
Don't forget Burfict too. Can't wait.
https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/06/13/ke...-woman-elderly
Some grim stuff.
White also spoke on Winslow’s behalf in June, when Winslow allegedly entered an 86-year-old woman’s trailer-park home shirtless before being spotted by a neighbor, who called police. The witness confronted Winslow, who told her he was searching for his dog (a red dog named “Clifford,” Winslow reportedly told her).
I did chuckle at that though.
Game Pass is getting a price hike for this season, though not much.
To be expected when it's worked so flawlessly I suppose :harold:
Well if they follow the Scotrail process of shit service -> price hike then the next step is -> decrease in quality of service.
Bengals first round pick Jonah Williams is expected to miss the whole season after surgery for a torn labrum :moop:
Big boy Jared passed away yesterday :(
No. :(
https://bloximages.newyork1.vip.town...b2cd.image.jpg
What a man he was.
Well today is ruined.
One player taken in supplemental.
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...lemental-draft
I've seen good things said about Jalen Thompson, and he sounds like a similar sort of player to Budda Baker - a bit undersized, but a good cover safety who could play a lot of nickel early on.
Jags have picked up the WR (Marcus Simms, West Virginia) as a UDFA to help make a bland receiver room even blander.
NFL owners have proposed an 18 game season, but no player would be allowed to play more than 16 games.
Also, Chris Herndon has been suspended for 4 games, and Carl Granderson has been sentenced to 6m in prison (he's a UDFA the Saints signed despite knowing about the case).
Herndon out for 4 games.
IT'S WESCO TIME.
Roster sizes would need to be raised.
Also, imagine the money a backup QB would get now they'd have to start at least twice a season.
Would leave some shit in the playoffs ahead if good teams. If you'd a 5-13 standard team but 8 or 9 played the backup against them because they're 'shit' then they could easily end up an unwarranted 10-8.
The best thing about the NFL over joke sports like baseball or basketball is that about every game a team plays is important. This makes a mockery of that. Strongest available team should play every week.
Would probably make it easier for the Patriots game the entire fucking league too.
What percentage of players make appearances in every game at the moment? Always feels like everyone is on their arse after about round 10 with injuries, so to start ruling the healthy ones out too seems a bit daft.
I don’t reckon they’ll end up doing that. If anything they will shorten quarters to compensate for the extra games.
The Edelman doc is very good.
Where's this at?
I think I've found my pre-season 2020 draft crush (aside from the major names) - Trey Sermon, RB (obviously) Oklahoma
It's a Showtime production, so presumably Sky will show it as part of their hype package when they're warming up for the season starting. I downloaded it.
When you see the whole story laid out it does seem like an impossibly Hollywood story, too on the nose to be real. His dad also seems like he may have been the basis for the 'work a day, stand up guy' stereotype for dads in American films.
Ah, that’d be why I’d not heard of it then.
Tyreek isn’t getting suspended at all, apparently.
Oh good, at least we now know that it's fine to break a child's arm.
Only if you’re good at sports.
I'm the next Jared Lorenzen.
Mitch Petrus has died of heat stroke.
Amazing.
He really needs some limbs broken.
Holton Hill, the Minnesota Vikings UDFA cornerback from the 2018 class who was know as Cypress Hill because he smoked so much weed, and allegedly failed 9 different drug tests while at Texas, has just been suspended for four games for violating the substance policy.
He was already banned for the first four games for a separate violation, so he's now out half the season for smoking weed :D
Why bother trying to make a living in professional sports? It's illegal according to your contract and probably isn't going to change for a while.
There's talk of weed being one of the concessions in the next CBA, so he might have a shot at playing a full season at that point.
It's a shame, because he's actually really good - probably would've been a second rounder if it wasn't for weed.
I'm sure a man of his impressive levels of stupidity will find another way to get banned.
Anyone seen the new season of Last Chance U?
I really don't get what goes through these guys heads. You're there. You just need to hold it together for one year and you can sit back the rest of your life comfortable with at least a couple hundred k of equity in a house. But nope, would rather smoke.
Yeah, I'm watching through it. Just on the last episode.
I'd no interest once they switched from the original college, though I see now they've switched from the shite third series one now too so it might be worth a look.
What the fuck???
Saving cap space, innit? Just throw Rashan Gary in there instead.
Gary's a DE/DL hybrid player with great athleticism & motor but not great pass rush technique, so 3-4 defensive end is probably the best role for him. They could rotate ZaDarius Smith in there as well, and I think they just extended Dean Lowry so he's likely to get a shot.
Won't happen but I'd love him.
Brandon Williams - Michael Pierce - Mike Daniels would be a fucking meaty front 3.
You might just need Pierce.
Giants camp has opened up with Sterling Shepard breaking his thumb & Corey Coleman tearing his ACL.
You don't deserve this Saquon :console:
Corey Coleman has really had a rough time. Shited his way out the league almost at Cleveland. Welcomed back at ny and he's injured.
Shame for Baylor. Rg3 and Corey Coleman both crocked rather than excelling.
We also cut Quincy Adeboyejo yesterday.
Wont mean anything to anyone other than Ravens fans but he was one of those guys who always looked fucking amazing in pre-season/training camp before getting injured for the year.
They've got one hell of a front four now. Shame about everything else.
Cardinals have cut Robert Nkemdiche after he reported to training came out of shape having recently been arrested for speeding & driving without a licence.
His response was to post an Instagram message including the phrase "I'll internally bleed red forever...", so at least he can always go back to being a doctor.
We’ve cut Cam Meredith & signed Patrick Omameh.
Josh Johnson, meanwhile, has turned down a contract offer from the Ravens. I’m not sure which side of that is funnier.
He didn't want to be a camp arm apparently.
Probably hoping for a longer term injury to a backup so he has a contract that lasts more than 2 weeks.
Sad times :(
https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/07/30/ro...mpionship-game
Ban these cunts from ever attending a sporting event again.
Jesus Christ.
So what about the blatant face mask they missed a few players earlier that would have wrapped it up for the Rams?
There’s no way that law suit should be entertained.
It's bonkers that it's actually gone to court.
What if they'd gone out because a kicker had missed a field goal as the clock ran out at the end? Would they be suing him?
Hey. Hey. You. Yeah, you. Check this out...

My team's playing and I still can't muster the energy to be particularly interested in the Hall of Fame game.
I had to learn the other day what a Kevin Hogan is.
Didn’t he start games for someone last season?
It was the Browns two seasons ago - remembered him being in Washington but he didn’t even make the team.
Wikipedia tells me he has 8 appearances for the Browns including one start in 2016 and 2017.
Didn't he make his name at the Bills?
Denver are his fourth team and he's only played an NFL game for Cleveland.
I was thinking of Chris Hogan.
Hulkamania really did run wild in the 80s.
Riddick expected to sign with the Broncos, lol.
That's another backfield ruined for fantasy.
https://i.imgur.com/IMnX045.png
Null looks a bit of a talent.
Muhammad looked decent, to be fair - at the least he’s got serious speed.
Kurt Benkert was crushing it though. Definitely worth giving him the QB2 role over Schaub
Is the new series of hard knocks started yet? Assume it's on sky sports?
As an aside, jordy Nelson is head back to Green Bay.

Starts on thursday lads. Answered my own question.
Excellent.
Only seen today that the journalist Don Banks died suddenly. Used to like his stuff back when he was with Sports Illustrated.
Yeah, he was a really good writer.
Giants offence booed off the field on their first possession of their first preseason game :D
Oh, and Chandler Catanzaro is 0/1 on extra points this season. I hope the Jets have another kicker in their camp.
EDIT: Daniel Jones comes in & completes 5/5 for 67yds & a TD. Giants are winning the Superbowl now.
Daniel Jones was so good they decided to call the rest of the game off.
Getting donned by Paxton Lynch.
Geno Smith still existing and going 3/9.:drool:
Sounds like Lock had a better showing than the HOF game. We made completions to 16 different players. Some of whom I've even heard of.
Kearse broke his leg.
Kenny Young is trying to get his starting spot which currently belongs to UDFA Chris Board.
Also, Vedvik is still amazing. 4/4 last night including one from 55.
Jets, Bears, whoever else has a crummy kicker we'll take a second rounder.
What an unfortunate time to bobble a snap :D
Christian Wade 1 carry, 65 yards, 1 TD.
Catching up on all the various clips and stories from last night has started to build real excitement for the coming season. It is nice to have the off season lull but I can’t wait to be vegging out in front of RedZone every Sunday night.
I’ve missed the first ep of Hard Knocks so will catch up tonight - anyone seen it?
Texans one might be my favourite.
Vince Wilfork and that outfit
I also watched the Panthers All or Nothing having skipped the Cowboys one. Cam is a proper fucking tool.
Antonio Brown threatening to retire because his helmet is too old to be worn
A decent summary of what a fucking circus act he is.
He doesn't even need to switch model, it's just that his current helmet is more than 10 years old:
https://sports.yahoo.com/source-anto...202204574.html
He could literally buy the exact same model.
Sneaking the helmet back in twice :D
That thread is great.
The Steelers should be delighted. And anyone else that didn't sign him.
Time to start working through these preseason games then.

I've only watched the highlights of the Browns v Skins game, but with the exception of one badly blown coverage which went for a touchdown they looked absolutely brilliant. Rashard Higgins in particular stood out in a big way.
Yeah, he's another one I've always liked. Might not be the flashiest player but he always seems to deliver when he's needed. Not watched the full game yet, but Baker's opening drive looked very impressive.
Just picking up again with the Cardinals game & then I'll probably give them a look.

Get ready to say goodbye @Sir Andy Mahowry
Has to be GB and Chicago.
He’s gone to Minnesota.
Green Bay will never give up on Mason Crosby.
They should have a long time ago.
Surprised the Bears didn't attempt to kidnap him.
I hope he smashes it.
Probably more one for @Foe
No idea who the kid is but I love that Tate Martell threw a hissy fit because he’d have to compete for the job at Ohio State, transferred to Miami & then lost out to a freshman :D
Fuck that guy.
He comes across as a right dickhead on QB1.
The sister was some bit of biscuit. You always got the feeling she wanted to get too close banjo style though.
You hate to see it.
Dak Prescott has apparently knocked back thirty million a year and is holding out for forty.
:harold:
He does realise that the franchise tag exists, right? He'd need an elite season this year to justfy more than $30m, and if he keeps dicking them about they'd probably just tag him & see if he can do it again.
There's no way they can keep Dak, Zeke, Cooper, Byron Jones & Jaylon Smith. They'd take up about half of the cap between them & they also have half their O-Line on $10m a year, so they'd pretty much have to cut their entire roster & fill it up with rookies & veteran minimum guys to get under the cap.
EDIT: Let's say the 2020 cap is $200m...
Zeke $15m
Dak $35m
Cooper $20m
Jaylon $17m
Byron $18m
They already have:
Lawrence $21m cap hit in 2020
Zack Martin $15m
Tyron Smith $13.5m
Travis Frederick $12m
Tyrone Crawford $9m (1000% getting cut to save $8m)
Cameron Fleming $5.25m (they'd save $4.5m by cutting him)
Leighton Vander Esch $3.25m
Just over $170m in cap space on ten roster spots :harold:
Still working my way through the preseason games:

Good to see him taking it in stride & knuckling down to prove he deserves the spot like a true pro.
What a guy.
Did I see him saying something about now looking to go to Texas A&M? Or was that before he went to Miami?
We talkin Miami Hurricanes football in here?!!?!?!? How nice.
Martell's sister is a fuckin herb.
I forgot what thread I was in there, saw "Hurricanes football" and thought of this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56ofjCI7QmA
If I remember rightly that was where he first committed, before he de-committed to go to Ohio State, where he decided to transfer when Justin Fields arrived, and now we're here. He's going to be the greatest high school QB to ever serve you at McDonalds in three years time.
Only if the new kid doesn't come in and do the fries better than him.
He'll transfer to Burger King.

EDIT: Jesus, Colts second year WR Daurice Fountain has apparently broken & dislocated his left ankle. Could hear him screaming from the sideline :uhoh: Sounds like he'd been crushing it in camp as well, so hopefully he'll be able to come back & play next season.
Our nickel corner, Tavon Young could miss the entire year with a neck injury :moop:
A Raven injured? I refuse to believe it.
A defender too.
What are the odds?
Not content with just having college players play for free, the Louisiana Raging Cajuns are now ‘strongly encouraging’ all players to pay at least $50 to their athletic foundations booster fund to ‘show their gratitude’
No idea if that link actually works or not, I’m on my phone trying to link from the ESPN app.
Wade had no TD's but came close.
The move to make three guys miss at once was pretty impressive. The one last week wasn’t much more than just running through a huge hole, but this was an actual quality play.
He’s still going to struggle to make the roster, but if they can trade McCoy he’s got a shot at getting there as the fourth guy.
Someone pointed out in the comments that he's still very Rugby in his style though because if he ran right there was only 1 defender by two Bills' blockers. Would have likely been a TD had he cut that way instead of the open space.
Laundry Jones is the first XFL signee.
Rashan Gary is looking like a waste of time already. Good job they'd already signed the Smiths.
How do I get the proper NFL.com homepage instead of this constant gamepass shite and NFL UK bollocks?
Cedric Benson is dead.
https://amp.si.com/nfl/2019/08/18/ce...-bears-bengals
Speaking of Gamepass my brother in law tells me I can use his Gamepass whenever I like as it doesn't restrict multiple users so I'm going to get all the Flacco I want this season.
Appreciated.
The pain you are to experience will be worse than you can imagine.
I have paid money to watch Gary Caldwell play football, so this can only be so bad.
I didn't realise that you were that much of a deviant.
I dunno if I said on here that I had a Broncos jersey on for some event (maybe the wrasslin) and a guy tried to call me out as a fairweather. I told him I'd been watching since Denver had Jake the Snake, who this guy had never even heard of.
Conversation won.
For a second I genuinely wondered if Jake Roberts had played for the Broncos at any time in his life.
That'd be amazing to be fair.
D'Ernest Johnson looked pretty good for the Browns this week - he & Hilliard should be perfectly adequate depth behind Nick Chubb for the first half of the year. Deon Cain showing up on the other side too. Hopefully he'll slowly reel in Funchess over the course of the season
Benson being in the news reminded me of this game. That Buffs team
https://youtu.be/U4emo_ct02I
Deon cain must have had some of the field issues because he was pretty prominent in college too.
Hopefully he holds life together. Also interesting seeing Jeremy mcnichols get a td at the titans. Maybe walking out on the bucs in hard knocks wasn't career suicide.
I don’t remember there being any huge character issues with him, although having just checked he did fail a drug test in 2015. I think it was more just him being inconsistent & not having the production to back up the talent.
Think Kelvin Harmon this year. He’s another’s one who will outperform their draft slot.
Just catching up with episode two of 'The Jonathan Abram Show featuring the Oakland Raiders', and it was pretty nice to see a few of the lesser known rookies getting some screen time. I did also enjoy Richie Incognito preaching non-violence as someone who recently threatened to shoot up a funeral home.
Abram is going to be a captain on that team by next season though. He's exactly what they need.
Just watching Saints/Chargers, and you know what? Taysom Hill has actually played pretty well - obviously all the usual stuff is there with his legs, but he's been more accurate than usual as a passer. Devine Ozigbo still shows promise despite a fumble where he nearly got hit out of the stadium by Denzel Perryman as he slipped, and Deonte Harris continues to show value as a returner. We look like we'll be hard to run on again this year, even without Sheldon Rankins, but it'll really depend on how well the secondary holds up around Lattimore & Vonn Bell.
As for the Chargers, it's good to see Detrez Newsome still running hard after showing well in the preseason last year, although he almost certainly still won't make the 53. Their second & third string dudes on defence were just blowing guys up all through the game as well, so I feel like they'll probably still be alright without Derwin. Jerry Tillery made Nick Easton look invisible for a sack, which is a great sign for them - he could be exactly what they need at DT, so it wouldn't be at all surprising if he starts early.
XFL have revealed their team names...
That'll end well.
BattleHawks is particularly lol.
Once football fans realise the football is shite and once WWE fans realise there's no gimmicks and breaking chairs over each other, there won't be anyone left watching and it'll be another AAF or UFL.
All about the Tampa Bay Vipers.
We need jerseys next.
They’ll just be AAF jerseys with different names taped on
https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/08/21/ch...y-eddy-pineiro
They took their playoff exit reeeeaaaally well.
Sounds like a pretty grim situation for the guys trying out.
Speaking of kickers: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...e-bears-kicker
I thought this was going to be the sort of low, flat kick you sometimes see people score long field goals from outside game situations but that looks like she gets some proper elevation on it.
I also didn't know until I saw Gil Brandt's comments on it that it wasn't technically prohibited for a woman to play in the NFL.
I think they'll put barriers in place to stop her. They won't want a woman kicker in on the off chance she gets tackled.
They could add extra protection for kickers but that might make it easier to run a fake.
There's still probably more chance of her getting a job, if she wants one, than Kaepernick.
Apparently Andrew Luck has had enough of all the injury shit and is retiring from the NFL effective immediately.
Now that is a bomb to drop.
Jesus.
If the love for it has gone and even the thought of another year for ~$30m doesn't change your mind then fair enough to him.
The guy was constantly carrying or rehabbing from an injury of one kind or another, with a couple threatening his career full stop. I imagine that wears you down after a while.
Would have thought they could have talked him into another year to see them through until next year's QB class.
Colts fans boo him off the field at the game too. Classy.
I'm guessing they tried everything for him, but I suppose this is better than him potentially turning up and half-assing it. Not that he's that kind of guy anyway.
The ones who booed him off don't deserve to see a win ever again. Cunts.
If he’s officially retired due to injury then does it shaft the Colts cap? It would be rather fitting if it did
They're way past the deadline of any guarantees being active for this season. He's personally lost $60m for not seeing out his contract. Had he waited until the 17th September he'd have gained another $6m.
The interesting one is he got a $12.8m as a signing bonus. With him retiring there's nothing in his contract that says the Colts can't ask for it back.
But for now it's cost the Colts $18.4m of dead cap space this year and $6.4m from next year.
When did College Football come back? :cab:
Luck retiring is a shame but he's been just hammered with injuries the last few years. He's the sort of level headed low maintenance dude that knows life is more than football and pain too. Fair play to him.
Great news for Jacoby birsett though. He thought he should be a starter somewhere. This is his chance.
Just been watching the Florida Miami game. Just error central. Great entertainment though. Glad football is back.
Dislike Felipe franks immensely though.
He has to play well enough to keep the colts out of the reach of tua and Herbert.
If he looks solid, he gets the franchise tag and a shit load of cash to give it another go.
Think mike glennon sort of style.
I don't think he has to play all that well for them to be out of reach for Tua/Herbert without trading as their team is too good.
https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...oup-money-luck
Colts wont go after the $24.8m they could have recouped from Luck.
Cut season is here
Seahawks have cut Amara Darboh AGAIN
Broncos have cut Jeff Holland (he's been picked up by Buffalo), Dekoda Watson & Zach Kerr
Dolphins have cut TJ McDonald, Akeem Spence, Jordan Mills (injury settlement) & Clive Walford (injury settlement)
Vikings have cut Jordan Taylor & Bene Benwickere
Lions have cut David Fales (they've replaced him with the Birmingham Iron's own Luis Perez)
Cardinals released Terrell McClain & Andre Branch
Browns released Jaelan Strong
Colts waived Matthias Farley
Patriots released Mike Pennel & Maurice Harris (waived/injured)
Packers waived Josh Jones
Not exactly an exciting set of moves, but things should start getting interesting next week once we get down to final cuts.
EDIT: Malcolm Smith gone from the 49ers too, and it sounds like Josh Doctson is on the bubble in Washington, not that anyone should be surprised by that.
Fark. Pretty much the best LB in college out for the year before week 1 - wonder if this will affect whether he declares or not.
RIP
ffs.

We've made a surprising cut in Willie Henry.
Leaves the door open for one of Zach Sieler or Gerald Willis.
Lesean McCoy getting released by the bills..
A bit of a surprise but they're in full on rebuild mode now. The defence is good enough and the QB I like, but they pretty much don't have anything at WR and now RB is looking short in supply.
Shady himself will be fine. You'd think he's a shoe in for the Texans. Though the Chargers may be interested. If he's happy to play a lesser role but on a team with a chance to win it all however, there's a few other options. I'd love to see him come home though.
Elsewhere it looks like Seattle will be the ones to land Clowney.
Third round pick plus Barkevious Mingo and Jacob Martin.
Fucking highway robbery with security guards watching. You love to see it.
Clowney gone.
Kizer cut by the packers and Brian hoyers holiday camp in New England is over.
Texans trading like there's no tomorrow.
So, does McCoy getting cut help Wade get near their final roster or has he already been discarded himself (back presumably to wherever exempt guys go)?
He's one of 4 RBs they have now. Looking good for his chances.
One of the final cuts but Wade has been released.
He'll likely end up on a practice squad for now.
Dolphins tanking for tua/Herbert.
And we've given them some capital if fitzmagic manages to give them any dubs.
Anyone watch any of opening week of the college season?
I was away yesterday but caught the recorded Oregon auburn game today. What a beaut of a game that was.
Looking forward to Texas v lsu next week too. Be nice to see whether Sam ehlinger can raise them up against a good sec team. Will be good to see Delpit again too. He was amazing last year. Sophomore season should be good.
I'll not mention the volunteers either. :cab:
Yeah, I watched that game yesterday as there’s a condensed version on YouTube. Tennessee are a fucking shambles, and have been for at least three seasons, but losing to Georgia State takes it to a whole new level of misery.
Oklahoma State & Washington games sound like they could be worth checking out too - some nice performances from under the radar draft guys in both games.
Texas/LSU should be the first proper ‘big’ game though - LSU should probably take it if their offence shows up, but I feel like Ehlinger will just run in 4 short TDs & drag Texas to victory while Joe Burrow chills out being vanilla in the background. Delpit is a junior, by the way, so he’s eligible for the draft this year  Kaden Sterns from Texas is a sophomore though, so he’ll be the one to watch for 2021.
Better chuck all my season predictions out there.

Can't find the spreadsheet from last year, so it's probably on a hard drive somewhere. I'll get the weekly predictions up tomorrow though, still got that template lying around.

The Chiefs are in the AFC.
Though that pales in comparison to the lol-fest anyway :D I'm just surprised you didn't have Justin Tucker as defensive and offensive player of the year, MVP, and rookie of the year.
.
That was meant to say Packers, whoops.
Also, that's LORD Justin Tucker. Cretin.
Hang on, is Mahow a Ravens fan? He’s done a good job keeping that under wraps until now.
Right, weekly pick'em time:

EDIT: Do I normally post this in the fantasy thread?
You do.
Yes you do.
I thought so. Oh well, I’ll copy it over into there in a minute then.
Almost caved on Game Pass this evening.
I'm really annoyed that American GamePass has a search function that allows you to find specific plays by individual players, and they decided not to include that in the European version for some reason.
I’m more annoyed that the cunts went to the trouble to make apps for some smart TV’s and still wouldn’t bother their holes making one for Android TV when all they had to do was port the phone app over. Casting is bollocks.
Though looking again at the Packers schedule, I’d be getting it for a maximum 8 games (Sunday 6pm’s) which probably isn’t worth it.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's Jane Slater reported Wednesday that the Cowboys and Elliott have agreed to a six-year, $90 million extension, per sources informed of the deal. In all, it's $103 million over eight years, with $50 million guaranteed, Rapoport added.
I know I predicted otherwise but if the Browns don’t finish above the Steelers, they should just disband.
Better get some predictions in before the season kicks off.

My fantasy team hopes you’re right about Jared Goff
Released our first depth chart and Chris Board is listed as starter alongside Peanut. He's been brilliant this offseason and has done well to get ahead of Kenny Young (who I imagine will still play a lot, especially on passing downs). That means both our starting MLB's are undrafted.
Also, there was speculation that we'd not keep any UDFA's this year to break THE STREAK but we ended up keeping Patrick Mekari who could well end the season as our starting LG and Otaro Alaka who is another MLB.

Guaranteed that useless Ha Ha cunt picks off Rodgers tonight.
The peacemaker.
This whole saga is incredible.
Would the league block it? :baz:
Why would they? He's breaking rules he agreed to when he signed.
So many wankers desperate to go down the CTE route with Brown now. A cunt can never just be a cunt any more.
Also, fuck Da Bears.
What a terrible game that was :D
Off to a great start fantasy wise :baz:
What an absolute willy of a man.
That'll be him out of the league, surely. Nobody is stupid enough to take the risk on him after all this.
Someone will be stupid enough to think that they can fix him.
The Raiders were basically alone in their interest when he wanted out of the Steelers, and he's been a complete whopper every second of every day since then.
I could see the Chiefs picking him up in week 5 or something if someone finally decides battering children is out of order, but failing that surely he's just too toxic.
Battering kids only matters if you're smoking weed whilst doing it.
Tyreek was given a new contract the other day.
He's gone.
Somebody will do it, John. The Raiders won't stick with him but the rule is that the next team just burbles about second chances and everybody pretends to forget
Still hoping for that freak quadruple limb-shattering for Tyreek Hill.
Fair fucks to the Raiders.
I reckon he'd suit being a Panther down to the ground.
Aren’t the Browns the new collectors of scumbags?
He's still a great football player who wants to play. Someone will pick him up.
Doesn't have to go to waivers either, so he's free to try and persuade others to take him.
San Fran or Chicago maybe? The bears offence looked horrid.
Brown might even make Tubrisky look competent.
Patriots, nailed on.
Yeah, my thoughts exactly. He'll probably agree to pay for them for nothing as well.
He'll be a Raven by Tuesday.
As has been proven by this, he's gonna want guaranteed money, so short term cap space will dictate this.
He was due to earn $15m per season, so if we use that as a baseline then you're looking at the following:
https://i.gyazo.com/cd89e7c105836a7b...9890b82f50.png
The Cowboys are about to be crippled by contract renewals so count them out. Eagles also have a complete catching attack without him. Teams like the Browns, Titans, Bears and 49ers will likely be interested. The former 3 for a chance in the play-offs, the 49ers would likely pay more as they don't have great WR options.
Browns don't really need him.
Doubt he'd fancy going to the titans for football. But he did play college football in Michigan...
He's from Miami too, so they could be a preferred destination. Doubt they'd do all the work they have to tank and then bring in a poisonous winner though.
Niners would be a good shout.
He doesn't have to move and they've got no one for Jimmy G to throw to bar Kittle.
Going to watch Texas A&M vs Clemson at half 8 @Dan?
Regardless of having lost a couple of picks, this really was nice work on the Raiders part.
Ohio state being a blowout is a shock.
Justin fields looks solid though. Hopefully he hangs around a few years. Easy to see why he was the #1 player in his year.
- Colts are a culture team with a good WR corps, no chance
- Browns have a track record of taking chances on a players with off-field issues, but considering they have OBJ & Landry (and Higgins) they don't need to gamble on him
- Miami are tanking & trying to build culture, so there's no way they'd take him.
- Houston shouldn't need him, but recent deals suggest nobody has a fucking clue what they're doing, so maybe they'll pay him $20m a year fully guaranteed
- Bills have already been shit on by AB, so they'd probably tell him to fuck off unless the fans could put him through a table as an apology. They could use him though
- Raiders :harold:
- Titans are a maybe, but I'm not sure this would actually work out for anyone. Also not convinced Vrabel would be interested in his shit.
- Dallas are broke & need to pay Cooper
- 49ers are just going to roll through all their guys relentlessly, so they don't really need to have a proper #1 guy
- Lions don't seem to be a great fit on a personality or scheme level
- Bears have Allen Robinson & Anthony Miller, and the problem there is Trubisky anyway
- Redskins won't want him as he isn't from Alabama, but they could probably use a decent WR
- Eagles would sign him for a bargain contract & trade him for a second round pick
- Bengals should probably just tank
So yeah, I guess it's Houston, Buffalo, Tennessee & Washington, with Cleveland, San Francisco & Cincy as long shots.
Plus obvious the Patriots.
Yeah, I wasn't big on him at Georgia as he basically just ran it every time he came in, but it's nice to see him in a system that actually works for him. The Fields/Lawrence battle could carry all the way through from high school to the 2021 draft at this rate, and we still might not be able to decide who's actually better.
EDIT: Michigan at #7 is a fucking joke. They're struggling against Army, and Shea Patterson is trash.
Ended up winning on 2OT because Army decided to pass the ball for about the fourth time all game & turned it over for the second of them.
In other news, Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne & Justyn Ross are good, and Kellen Mond is not.
Fuck sake I'd like to watch a good game of college football.
Kellen mond and A&M are seriously struggling. This Clemson team doesn't look as dynamic on offence either. Ettiene is going to be sweet as a catching RB in the NFL and is too good for college. But Clemson aren't making use of Lawrence and the wideouts thus far. Struggled last week too.
Have Michigan been good on offence at any point in the last few years? The defences have been great with gary, bush etc. But they've not had a decent QB as yet. Wilton speight anyone?
He's signed for New England....
Yep, fucking lol.
1 year deal, $15m, $9m bonus.
I didn't realise Drew Rosenhaus was actually God.
They have three good WRs too, they're just utterly miserable at QB, and this year their defence might not quite be good enough to make up the difference. They could easily lose four games this season (Wisconsin, Iowa, Penn State & Ohio State), which really ought to see Harbaugh shown the door.
Unrelated, but I'm putting dibs on Anthony McFarland now. Not sure whether he'll come out this year or 2021, but the kid's a beast.
AB has planned it fairly well tbh.
Gotta love watching Texas waste two drives by repeatedly running Ehlinger at the goal-line & getting stuffed
3-0 LSU but Texas would've been leading, potentially by a lot, if they hadn't tried the literal most obvious play imaginable on fourth down twice. Wide open drop from the RB in the endzone didn't help either, to be fair.
EDIT: I knew LSU had another Fournette playing RB but I didn't realise his name was Lanard :D Imaginative parents, clearly.
Kristian Fulton out here getting destroyed by Brennan Eagles while a freshman locks down Collin Johnson :cab:
Man, that LSU/Texas game was real good. Condensed version below if anyone wants to give it a look:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqsVOrT8Glw
Ja'marr Chase (LSU sophomore) & Devin Duvernay (Texas senior) will have had their names circled in a lot of scouts' notebooks from this game, I'd wager.
That LSU freshman CB (Derek Stingley) looks promising too, but then he was the #1 CB in the class so I guess that would explain it.
The US channels are normally brutal for it anyway, but this is one of the most ‘clutching at straws’ things I’ve seen in a good while.
https://i.imgur.com/xN5jwGv.jpg
Nearly traded to Bills :D
They could have at least gone with ‘refused a trade to Buffalo’
Facing Bell is as bad. The only half interesting one on their whole list is the one he can’t play in anyway.
That Texas lsu game was amazing. Texas moving it down the field but totally pointless when you just can’t get close to stopping joe burrow. He was so good.
Hopefully Texas don’t drop out the top 10 for that. I’d rather them in the top ten that a Michigan team who struggled to beat army.
Browns.
Yeah I need game pass. Just cannot warm to watching redzone, would much rather get into a game.
I know he caught that pass but that rookie Titans receiver looks like he has the agility of the 67A bus.
He and DK Metcalf are basically the same guy. Bonkers fast and strong but with the turning circle of the moon.
Hollywood Brown
Hill injured which is nice although it's not serious it seems.
thank you based Mahow
#TankForTua
we down 21-0 this dude doing the incomplete sign and talking shit to the guy who already is eating us alive like what
*28.
This Miami team getting smoked by Lamar passing and a fast rookie receiver is a bad omen.
Good luck in foxboro.
Miles jack wants a couple of weeks off clearly and to donate to charity.
Be interesting to know what he chiefs guys presumably said.
Boykin also getting involved now.
This is like when the US didn't make the World Cup so I could just watch football and not feel emotionally invested.
We deffo getting the #1 pick.
It's a bit full on for the early kick offs but the pace is a lot better for the 9pm games as there's usually only 3 or 4.
Been unmitigated shite from the Browns since the PAT went wide after about three minutes.
#ComebackSZN
Titans have gained more yards from Browns penalties than passing or rushing.
And yet he has 3 catches for 100 yards.
Also this:
Browns the new Jaguars.
I love Josh Rosen.
Glad i drafted derrick Henry. Annoyed I didn't take sammy Watkins though. Think I took Adam humphries instead. :moop:
Sammy won't even have 50 yards for the next five games.
It might not last but Mayfield shitting it up is nice.
This is absolutely glorious.
The Browns being comically shite is even better when they thought they were going to come out and win by 50. I'm with Osi on Mayfield.
