The scene of The Office is the one with 'Black Pete' I'm guessing?
Yes.
I was told by a BBC article the other day that it's racist not to 'see colour', which is basically my approach to the whole thing (obviously I can see what ethnicity people are, but it's definitely not the first thing I notice).
The whole discouse at the moment seems to be quite nuanced, highly-developed complaining about the past and present without any particular pointers to how things can be better in the present and future.
In that case Italians ,Greeks, Cyrpiot sand Lebanese are all wogs again.
The latest season of B99 has been all over the place. Started off ok then went to shit (the episodes are far better when grounded in the police case machinations). The episode with young Hitchcock and Scully was ace though and it's been good since.
The new Rick and Morty was great as well, especially the heist episode.
I buy it.
I reckon it's just that people in the arts are shit scared of bad press.
It's probably a mixture of the 2.
It's yoghurt knitters who can't do anything else thinking it matters.
30 for 30 update. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5432446/?ref_=ttep_ep7 "Fantastic Lies" was absolutely amazing. It is especially relevant now with the baying mob of social media to condemn anything and everything within 12 seconds.
Absolutely devastating how a Police officer and DA can nearly destroy people with next to nothing recourse.
Peep Show blackface scene cut.
Yeah Basic Story & Basic Sandwich are the series lowpoint, agreed.
New Beavis and Butthead is being made.
That's not gonna work. It was all about riffing on MTV music videos.
It was shit then and it'll be shit now.
Season two of What We Do In The Shadows is quite a bit funnier than the first, and Matt Berry is perfect in it.
Negative rep from Baz for not finding "Teepee for my bunghole hurhurhurhur" funny. :happycry:
You want a fucking rep war Barry? I'M HERE LAD. COME.
I was gonna say take it to the recent rep thread but I think that might have been about six years ago on the old new board. Or was that one the new old board?
Earlier today I saw a clip of a TV show that was a police spoof. It featured two detectives going into a crime scene that had a signed photo of Piers Morgan.
Does anyone have any idea what show this is?
Sounds like possibly Murder in Successville which was definitely another BBC Three success. I didn't watch it all but Tom Davis clearly has a bit about him and that was creative stuff.
Hopefully Ghislaine Maxwell's plea bargain makes it reality. Unless she 'commits suicide' first, obvs.

I mean, he already kinda had a massive hand in the phone hacking which lead to Millie Dowler's investigation being hampered. I've cancelled Netflix. It was a nice run whilst it lasted but being back to work really sucks any time away. I've got a month to get through The Last Dance and anything else that takes my fancy.
The Last Dance is really good so far.
Just watched the first episode of Home Game on Netflix. It's a documentary about unique and dangerous sports around the world.
First episode is about the game of Calcio Storico which is fucking mental.
I finished The Last Ship on Amazon Prime yesterday. It was decent enough but I think it went downhill a bit towards the end.
Could do with something else (preferably something that's finished and is on Netflix or Prime) to binge watch now. Any good suggestions?
Anyone watched The OA?
It's complete garbage.
Have you watched The Expanse? That's about as good as Sci-fi gets at the moment. It isn't finished, but there's been four seasons so plenty to binge.
Can you watch 1-3 of Expanse or is it only 4 on Amazon? Also, how shock factor are they going with gore levels?
I need some new Sci Fi to watch after going to about 90% of all the star treks (bar the original) in the past while. Speaking of which Enterprise gets too bad a rap.
I think I've seen seasons 1-3 of The Expanse but I can't even remember what happened now.
It doesn't have to be sci-fi.
Is Homeland worth watching?
Seasons 1, 2 and the last one.
The first season is some of the best TV I've seen. Second season is still a very decent watch. Then it unfortunately takes a terrible turn (and focuses more on his family and annoying kids).
I haven't watched any of the recent seasons.
Just realised I’ve been getting The Expanse mixed up with Extant and wondering why TTH thought so highly of it. :cab: I have never actually seen The Expanse, it seems.
Sounds like you're having an Extantential crisis....
I know The 100 is teen angst nonsense really, but I do enjoy it.
Is Netflix on some minimum term contract or can you sign up for just a month? I think I've paid £108 in the last 12 months for Marriage Story and Unorthodox. If I can sign up for a month I'm gonna cancel this shit and wait for the next worthwhile thing to be released on there.
I thought it was pretty famously a no contract thing. £8 or £9 a month.
Yeah you can cancel any time.
There's plenty of worthwhile stuff on there already. Unbelievable was one of the best things released last year on any service or channel.
What would your 'top list' look like John?
I find the search engine/navigation absolute arse, so I'm convinced I'm missing stuff I'd love that isn't even on my radar.
TV mostly, rarely use it online.
That might explain it then.
It's still not perfect but I think it's a bit better.
Ah yes, I did watch Unbelievable too. The point is, I don't use it anywhere near once a month so it makes no sense to accept being a slave to their shite service.
