The question is now who the next interim first team coach will be. I reckon Sven.

My only opinion on Conte is that his head just doesn't look right.

I'm still baffled that this has happened.

Rafa for another run at the UEFA Cup.

We'll have to get into the UEFA Cup first. Conte's first big cup test seems set to be something like Forest Green away in the second round of the League Cup.

Conte's work restoring Juventus to the top of Italian football won critical acclaim and earned him comparisons with José Mourinho (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_Mourinho),[24] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Conte#cite_note-24) primarily due to his obsession with tactics, his winning mentality and ability to foster great team spirit among his players.

He was great with us, and I was sad to see him leave.

We had a thread about Neil Lennon and Bolton few weeks back.

Being Italian, and Juve through and through, cheating, one would imagine.

Good appointment. Imagine the make up of that side will change a fair bit in the next 12 months.

Is Emanalo likely to be tossed aside for an Italian to come in?

More chance of Captain Schettino getting the Italy job.

Know very little about the man but Vim and Ital seem to like him so I'm happy enough.

What are his main 'philosophies'?

He demands a fuckload of his players, basically they have to listen to his every command. Which is actually why I can't believe he's gone to Chelsea, since he stopped playing a few players in Juve because their Italian wasn't good enough and they didn't understand what he was shouting. I guess he's learnt English very well ...

He's the best at building team spirit, his influence on the dressing room is still seen at Juve right now. The players are very close and it really helps a lot. At Juve and also at Italy, the only positions where he always picked the same players was central defender and defensive midfield. This is not a coincidence I think, he likes to start building the squad with that base. Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini and Marchisio have been in his team since the start.

I think he'll flop and they'll have to turn to Moyes.

By the way, from the few games I've seen of Chelsea this season, Conte will absolutely love Willian. Hazard, on the other hand, doesn't seem the type of player Conte likes.

Conte is far better over the 38 games than in the single knock-out match, so having no cups in the first season is wonderful for Chelsea.

It's more 5 at the back than 3 at the back. I can't see him going with a 3-5-2 unless Hazard does leave. Hazard, Willian etc. are not suited to play wing-back in Conte's system, someone like Azpilicueta is the kind of player that he uses out wide. 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 are the likely formations with the current squad.

To go five at the back we would need to have five fit defenders.

Can't imagine he would want to get rid of John Terry, so this is a litmus test for the veracity of the club's 'the new manager will decide' claim.

Why'd he want rid of Terry? Isn't he still good?

He'll probably buy a full-back or two for the rest same back 4 as this year, then Matic, Fabregas and Giaccherini in the middle, Willian and Hazard out wide and Costa upfront.

Terry's contract is up and 'the club' are said to want rid of him, although publicly they say it will be up to the new manager to decide if he is offered a new one.
