Straight back to Sky then or has the reputation taken too big a blow?

He's done an absolute Inzaghi. You can't have your first job in such a big club as Milan (Inzaghi) or in a foreign country (Neville).

There's been rumors that Valencia have approached Poyet for 15-20 days over here.

He tried and failed. No shame in that. He's ready for the united job now.

I like how he's "the former TV pundit" as opposed to "the former Man Utd defender" or whatever.

Fair play to him, he had a go. Hope he's back with Sky soon, always enjoyed his analysis.

I would agree, although you would say that such a conspicuous failure (which it unfortunately is) does damage his credibility in terms of sticking the boot into anyone else. That said, Shearer taking Newcastle down or Robbie Savage being Robbie Savage don't appear to be impediments to their continued employment so I doubt anyone would care.

It doesn't really. They're different skills. Souness wasn't the best manager but I love his punditry.

I reckon you need a minimum five league titles and two European Cups before being allowed to talk about football.

Only two?
