View Full Version : England Squad - RACE to the Euros
Magic

Goalkeepers Butland (Stoke), Forster (Southampton), Hart (Man City)
Defenders Bertrand (Southampton), Cahill (Chelsea), Clyne (Liverpool), Jagielka (Everton), Rose (Spurs), Smalling (Man United), Stones (Everton), Walker (Tottenham Hotspur).
Midfielders Alli (Spurs), Barkley (Everton), Dier (Spurs), Drinkwater (Leicester), Henderson (Liverpool), Lallana (Liverpool), Milner (Liverpool), terling (Manchester City).
Forwards Kane (Spurs), Sturridge (Liverpool), Vardy (Leicester), Walcott (Arsenal), Welbeck (Arsenal).
As you can see, 10 out of the 24 players here are black. This is 41%. Now the demographics of England put Black people at 2% of the population.
Therefore I motion to remove 9 of the black players at once so they are equally represented in Football. Non el racismo.

No Noble or Cresswell is shocking really.

No Nolan or Kevin Davies either. Ridiculous.
Glad to see Walcott in there. He really deserves it for his wonderful performances this season.

None of the double barrelled gravy train merchants ever seem to make it past a certain point, do they.
No Rooney?
He's injured. This is just a squad for upcoming friendlies.

No Rooney?
I really hope not.
Really happy that Drinkwater is in the squad; he has been excellent this season. Funny timing given that he put in his worst performance of the season on Monday night, mind.

France squad being announced in a bit. The list of players they have available to them is fucking terrifying. Apparently England beat them 2-0 four months ago, I have little to no memory of that.
edit: ah, it was just after loads of people died in Paris. Can probably attribute it to that.

Did they lose half their squad or something?

Andre Gignac was up front, so it would seem so.

Deschamps has seen sense and called Kanté up. Midfield three of Pogba, Matuidi and Kanté

As one of their greats of the past would have had it, you're best off making a wager when it comes to the French team. If I forecast greatness for them, it will be tempered with the knowledge that if I am right, I will need to vomit everywhere.
I must therefore predict their continued ghastly failure.

Just got hard.
He's injured. This is just a squad for upcoming friendlies.
Ah I see. I blame Magic.
Not interested if it doesn't include Kevin Pressman.

I fear Steven Taylor may miss out.
Nice font, Magic. :cab:
Butland should start ahead of Hart, I reckon.
Cahill and Stones don't deserve to be there, especially the former.
Surprised to see Dier involved. Has he been in the England squad before?
Lallana could run riot at the Euro's, given his current form.
And yeah, F Walcott. Ridiculous.
+1 for Mark Noble getting involved.
Not interested if it doesn't include Kevin Pressman.
Saving him for the big games. This just gives the two non-Harts a chance to fight for that third spot.

He needs to be there for the inevitable Quarter Final shootout.

WHY HASN'T WES MORGAN BEEN GIVEN A CHANCE?
x
No Noble or Cresswell is shocking really.
I think all our left backs are at the same sort of level really, all decent 7/10 players.
Noble should be one of the first midfielders there, get the feeling he's the sort who would really bust a gut for England.
WHY HASN'T WES MORGAN BEEN GIVEN A CHANCE?

I reckon it's because he's Jamaican. Just a guess.

I reckon it's because he's Jamaican. Just a guess.
I know. But seemingly most of the general population don't.

I'd never have thought England as the name just screams Welsh.
I think Morgan is actually Finnish.

There was a big push among the Sun reading public for Seamus Coleman to get a call up a while back wasn't there?

Phil Babb being overlooked so regularly for England, too.

David O'Leary's always overlooked for the job.
Hodgson should make the most of these and use one of the games to test players like Rose, Alli, Dier, Drinkwater, and maybe one of the keepers to see who should be no2.
