I am informed that Vautour at 4/5 on Thursday is an unmissable opportunity. That's all I have now. Skybet doing money back as a free bet if your bet in the first race every day loses. Going to back every rank outsider.

Vantour was bumped from the gold cup down to this so you'd imagine that's accurate. Not really a fan of short odds in horse races.

Stick a mortgage on Vautour, it's that sure fire.

For the first,

13:30
Altior 4/1 - £5 e/w
Min - £1 (used the BetBright 50/1 on any horse offer)

10Bet have for an improved sign-up offer available for Cheltenham. Make a first bet of £20 (at 1.5 odds or higher) and get four £10 Free Bets (free bet stake not returned) you have to use one of the links on OLBG site, and then use the code C40 when making your first deposit.

I have no clue about horses, but I'm going to this on Thursday on Friday, having been invited along on a 40th birthday thingy.

Tips appreciated.

Victoria Pendleton to suffer tragic neck injury. Betfair to capitalise on said tragedy.

Be prepared to queue for hours for a beer. Every bar/club/pub/restaurant will be packed to the rafters. It's a nightmare for the locals as barely anything can be done.

I'm not sure how it works but we have tickets for the festival itself, so not sure if we'll still be there rather than in the pubs?

The tickets you have are the for the 'festival' which takes place at the racecourse, head there without a doubt. Do you know what stand you are in?

The atmosphere around the ground is fine, be wary though that the racecourse is the other side of the town from the train station (a good 30 minute walk). The buses/taxes will be notoriously slow given the shitty one way system in Cheltenham when heading to the race course however so a walk is preferable.

The pubs/clubs/bar etc are the same as always for Cheltenham, they will just be full, especially on the Thursday because the town has a large Irish population which only triples when it's Race week. But you don't need a ticket or anything to get into them, just patience.

Nah, no idea what stand but cheers for the advice.

Ah, enjoy it nevertheless. I live in Cheltenham and this will be the first year I'm not going down the racecourse, rather envious of you.

Annie Power then absolutely smoked the rest of the field, what a ride.
