View Full Version : The Spiders are Right Bastards Thread
I've just murdered my first big bastard of the season. I was sat watching the telly when I caught it out the corner of my eye on the wall at about head height.
Lauren is at work so I couldn't resort to cowardice. I considered going to bed but given that the fucker had sneaked up on me once already I didn't think it worth the risk. Crushed it with an old uni textbook. Fuck you, spider.

Apologies to bring other bugs to the party, but I went downstairs to get a drink last night and when I came back up there was a fucking MASSIVE bee/wasp/dragon thing buzzing into my light. It was doing that slow, mothership style floating about thing that lets you know it's huge and means business.
I turned the light off and (as quick as I could like a little girl) opened the curtain to try and get it to fly out the window but it wouldn't.
Decided to take it out with a badminton racket once I plucked up the courage. Still haven't found most of it
The bit I did find (literally a couple of legs and a bit of body) was still walking about though which was a bit unnerving.
We caught a couple of wasps down the pub a few weeks ago. Trapped them under a pint glass and put a lit fag in with them. Like Nazis.

My place is full of them but nothing bigger than the ones you see getting their web on in the garden and some spindly ones in the corners. A Crane Fly came in the other day and started bimbling around, proper clash of the titans stuff for a while.
Ladies and gentleman, I present to you one of only four people in the world who call Daddy Long Legs' "Crane Flies."

Brung up proper I were.
I've just had to kill another two. They're taking the piss now.

I was wondering where they all were?
Hopefully they stay round yours.

I don't mind spiders. They keep the flies out of the house and because I've got a house rabbit it stops them from getting to him and I'm going to stop typing.

Don't you find it gets tangled in your petticoats?

Jokes on you. I had to google what a petticoat is.

You'd rather a fly than a big fuck off spider, surely?
We've had 4-5 huge spiders running along the living room floor in the last week. Hate the little fucks.

Never kill spiders. Terrified but anything that kills flies is awesome.

Also a Giant Horntail Wasp flew in to my dining room a couple of weeks ago. What a terrifying machine that is by the way.

Flies can pass shit to rabbits and don't want a massive vet bill. So no, spiders ftw.

Fuck no. A fly buzzing around in the room when you're trying to sleep is enough to make a man go on a homicidal rampage. Spiders don't do me any harm whatsoever.
