Whilst finally there's a nasty streak these days, which has been touched upon several times before, which goes through the heart of the board. That's always been there (maybe not at the very start), but it's been amplified over time.

Quincy's a good example. He's daft, yes, but instead of having fun poked at him there's a maliciousness that's seen him chewed up and spat out. One less poster and another small step toward the END.

Oh and by the well Mellberg described the decline of this place much better than I could have, I think he has a great point. Take Lewis, there was a time where I considered him fun and friendly, even though there was some sort of pot shooting going on as there was always around TTH, but then I felt over the years as my own engagement seemed to vane, he also seemed to become more and more cynical and generally crude, to the point where I couldn't really appreciate it as a form of humour anymore.

It's a bit like the opposite journey than that of Dark Soldier. When I started posting in TTH in, what, 2006? Back then I remember he seemed quite like a bastard but then I started understanding him more and more and what was actually jokes and what wasn't, and then he started actually opening up more about his personal life as well.

On that last note, it's something we seem to definitely have lost these days. Maybe people are just more careful on the internet? The amounts of personal stuff that many, including me, have shared on here was always quite amazing, and the fact that we would almost all do it and for some reason also all seem to trust each other with that information - is what I always felt was the main reason the place was so great.

This is starting to read a little bit like a eulogy, which wasn't my intention, but then again I suppose to some extent I do mourn the better days that TTH had, because I do feel it's past it's peak now - however much I don't really want it to be so.

I would agree with previous sentiments expressed (I can't remember by who) that there's a slight undercurrent of nastiness now. Whereas before one assumed it was all 'good-natured', you're not left with that impression any more. It's a tremendous shame, but I have little interest in engaging in a topic only to have Tobias throw around :harold:s or Giggles make another snide comment.

It's healthy in terms of variety and as someone who rarely posts can I add it isn't a forum littered with injokes etc. You can post in here on any thread after being away for months/years.
