I can't see past another pasting or the inevitable 0-0 whilst progressing on pens.
Sturridge is meant to be back too which is pleasing. He'll be injured by 7.50pm.

Is it just me or does West Ham's pitch look very small?
It looks a lot more crowded than most other pitches do on TV.

Smallest in this list from 2014, so I presume it'd still be that or close to it.

Two questions. Has Mark Noble had a hair transplant? What on earth inspired brenton to spend 32 million quid on Benteke?
Good game to watch as a neutral so far. end to end stuff!

Did anyone see that ad for 'advanced hair clinic' on BT at half time?
Maz was in it. Or 'Kenny' from Stockholm but it was definitely Maz.
Cheeky freekick, nice though.

The ref absolutely bottled that obvious penalty decision.

I've lost count of the amount of times Benteke has been in that position and fluffed it. It must be reaching double figures by now.

32mil waste of money, Peter Crouch is better than him.

I said to my dad they'd score when that freekick was awarded. Although I did say it would be Andy Carroll, but still.
Although Benteke missed some decent chances I thought he seemed a lot better in general tonight, especially when Sturridge and Origi were playing alongside him. The fluffed chances are probably a confidence thing. If the three of them get more playing time together, I reckon goals will come.

That doesn't even look like a full strength Bolton side. Bayern were absolute garbage around then though. I think it was that year Werder Bremen won the league.

I was listening to a bit about that on a podcast today. Was it really only 200 tickets for 6 games?

I don't get why they don't all go massively populist on ticket prices. It makes fuck all difference to their income and would be a big PR boost (West Ham are trying it in the new ground) but unfortunately bean counters run clubs and they just aren't capable of thinking in anything but money graphs.

I think Bayern must have won it that year. Stuttgart won it the year before, we played them in the Champion's League that year, and Wolfsburg won it the year after. We'd have heard about it while Dortmund were wanking on them if Bayern had recently gone three years without a title.

They are getting bossed by league one Peterborough here

Literally right above the line up it states..."We had 12 players missing against a club of this stature, and it was terrific."

I watched Grafite's mega goal against Bayern quite recently and was surprised it was that long ago too. There have been two superteams since it though, so it sort of makes sense.

I forgot about that. Is it televised? I fancy Barcelona to hit double figures on aggregate.
I know it's no surprise now but Shearer was just failing at words even by his own standards.
Apparently Pulis will be telling the players to start the game as they've finished it.

The week of that Bayern vs Bolton tie somebody (Sandman I think) found an offer of a £25 free bet when you joined Sky Bet, and I piled most of it on Bayern after SG had wanked himself daft over the lol thought of Ottmar Hitzfeld vs Gary Megson.

What it demonstrates is the weakness of referees in those situations and how much they guess the cowardly option. As a defender if you fall over with a forward within five yards of you it seems to be an automatic free kick, and yet if the Celtic forward had done the same dive there he's either getting booked or play is going on.
