I've lost my hype. THey don't seem to have a clue what they actually want from the game with this removal of macro mechanics followed by a patch that puts them back in.

Same here. I've already bought 2 SC2 games that I never play, can't see me spending more money on another one.

I thought they said when they took them out that they just wanted to try it?

Yeldoow is right, they've stated that they are trying some stuff out to figure out whats best for the game. I think they actually do have a clue what they are doing, it's nice to see them share some of their thought processes.
