...that objectively (if you thought about it) you really shouldn't be bothering with?

Wake up.
Checking the forums. I say I shouldn't be bothering with but truth is if I stopped it would only be replaced by an equally pointless waste of time so I think I'll stick to it.

I used to think this place was (objectively) a waste of time, but then I realised a lot of my humour is shaped here, so I'll carry on.
Staying up too late to get a decent amount of sleep and pissing around for most of my time at work are the big two. Eating a whole packet of biscuits where one or two would do is relatively minor really.

This place definitely isn't a waste of time. Gives me great perspective on lives of which I would otherwise not be aware.
I probably shouldn't bet, as it's a waste of even small amounts of money, but I get bored at the weekends during the winter. I should probably get some new friends or a girlfriend or something.

That is one that I just can't shake. I'm even doing it now for fuck's sake.

I'm the same and usually have to get up at half 5 for work. 5 hours sleep is crap but I find adding an hour so extra makes bugger all difference to how I feel the next day.

I think 8 hours a night, or thereabouts, would have a dramatic impact on one's wellbeing.
I've never put that to the test for any sort of sustained period of time, but when I've managed it for 2/3 nights in a row I definitely feel better.
On a related note, there's the mornings where I wake up within about 90 minutes say of when I need to be up but despite knowing full well it'll make me feel no more awake, go back to sleep until whenever I'd planned to get up.

8 hours is a bit different but that would mean about 1.5 hours of free time in between work and sleep for me, I'd rather be a zombie at work.

I shower before having a bath then shower after the bath. :-\

Why?
Not sure for me. I eat too many fry-ups.
I think this place and another forum is my big habitual ticket item. But I don't think it's a waste of time either, both places have helped with my writing and given me access to articles and videos I would never have stumbled upon (is that website still about?)
I probably should stop going ont he site at home though as it makes me a bit of a recluse.

I scratch my head a lot. Thinks it's an anxiety/nervous thing.

I definitely used to be like this before. Now I'm a lot better at going to sleep in time. One thing I always try to tell myself when staying up is that you're basically just borrowing time from the next day, specially on weekends where you might sleep in (unless you have kids :moop:) if you stayed up late.
So basically if I'm watching a series or playing some FM or something, and I get the "just one more...[X]" urge - I'll tell myself I may as well do that the day after instead. If I still need extra motivation I'll mentally bribe myself with the idea of taking my time to eat a nice breakfeast, make proper coffee, etc (which is something I relish doing without having to stress in the mornings).
Being able to get up around 9 every weekend without feeling completely fucked is really a small revolution to my life.

I actually have no idea but it started a good number of years ago. I used to shower after a bath or before then it turned into both. Personal hygiene is probably the only locked down routine I have.
Shower, relax in bath, shower, step out, cover body head to toe in Dove, rinse off left arm, right arm, push out chest and then work your way down. I'm not that way with anything else.

Have a shower with the plug in and you can transition seamlessly from one to the other.
