My local team HJK were on course to making it to the group stages of the Europa league after beating Schalke 2-0 at home and pretty much outplaying them in a manner that I was sure they'll go through. That obviously didn't happen as Finnish sports teams have a mentality of Spurs going head to head for the fourth place trophy with Arsenal, and lost 6-1 in Gelsenkirchen (they did score this beauty there though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxctqdDXZGw).
And this was a few months after Schalke got to the last four in the Champions league, so they were not as shit as they currently are.

There wasn't much dominating going on, but that UEFA cup run was a bit good. We were defending like heroes and sneaking past teams much better than us with about a hundredth of the shots.

We used to regularly hump Man Utd in the 90s and early 2000s when we were shit, especially at Old Trafford. The best one was probably that 3-0 when Hasselbaink spent the whole game standing around waving his arms and shouting at people, and then just drilled one to the far post at 100mph.

As proper underdogs though, not a lot. There was a memorable 4-2 win over Liverpool in about 1996 as well but they were shit then.
