Villa are due a bumming. Will Arsenal step up to the plate or will Remi Garde guide his team to a clean sheet and a vital point or three? Considering we are all rubbish at predicting goals and such, we will settle for a good old fashioned full time result bet this week. Odds taken from bet365. Best of luck.

Bournemouth to play exciting football before being destroyed by the possession juggernaut and losing 0-0.

Jimmy Floyd
11-12-2015, 06:54 PM
Football would be a much more exciting game if you took the goals away and made it a keep ball contest, with the winning side being the first to reach 45 minutes and 1 second of cumulative possession.

Reg

Decent weekend of football. Our game is on telly in some foreign land so will be watching on a stream.

Leicester v Chelsea might be the best game but I'll be out annoyingly.

Keep the unbeaten run going tomorrow and people might start mentioning Brighton when discussing teams likely to be promoted. Russell will probably terrorise whoever is filling in at leftback. He usually plays well against Brighton and without Bong and Rosenior things are a bit stretched back there. Would probably prefer Chicksen to play ahead of Calderon. Would take a draw.

I'm enjoying Mick Mac's Tricky Tractors grind out a quite superb nuggety 1-0 win at the Milton Keynes Dons. The commentator's just had the chance to say 'And Sears sears away'.

The excitement is starting to build. Maybe we can have two shots today!

Jimmy Floyd
12-12-2015, 04:48 PM
Charlie Nicholas said at the kickoff lineups that the City players didn't look like they fancied the weather conditions, and it sounds like the game has panned out exactly in that fashion. Absolutely remarkable lack of professionalism from people being paid those sums.

EDIT: Or not.

Shame to concede a late equaliser, but a draw is still a good result. Hughton is such a Championship don. The run goes on.

Reg
12-12-2015, 04:59 PM
Good result for us, just seeing the shots now and they had double the amount and also double the amount on target, so we'll absolutely take the draw.

Not sure what their penalty was given for having seen five or more replays.

Great goal from Wilson. He better not be recalled.

Reg
12-12-2015, 05:15 PM
United's defence looks a bit brutal.
Definitely showing the lack of depth today.

I was reading lots of quotes from van Gaal's press conference last night, and he blamed: refereeing decisions (which are very important nowadays apparently), the young players (his own signings), and the money in the Premier League even though he's spent twenty zillion. Then he claimed winning the Europa League should be considered a good season.

A far cry from "I'll win the title within three years" and "we'll aim for the Champions League" etc.

Kikó
12-12-2015, 05:17 PM

John Arne

Crewe take the lead in the 90th minute, only to concede in the 93rd and 95th to lose 3-2. Cunts.

Good to see some English youngsters given the chance by Man Utd... LVG and Klopp have done more for English youngster this season then Wenger has in the past 5 years.

I'm unsure, I did like Webb's view on decisions as it was from a referee's point of view, Savage is an annoying cunt and I actually don't mind Hoddle, he speaks sense. Owen I can't stand at all. Maybe you're right if you have a shit level of co-commentators more is more.

Jimmy Floyd

Given the laughably low tolerance threshold that United fans seem to have, you'd have to declare CRISIS quite soon.

I appreciate that, but you can still definitely tell at the moment that every United fan under 40 has never known anything but rampant, dominant success.

Degayer for navas was this season deciding moment. A bit like zlatan for etoo but not happening.
ManU was going really well with Moreno or whatever he is called and were about to upgrade to best keeper in the world +cash and then real administration personal got his first fuck up of the season. Cherishev is another.
Since then it is a downfall spiral that will not end till the end of the season since real won't give Navas for a keeper that can't play in the Champions.

Meanwhile people discuss minor things as rooney form.

Kikó
13-12-2015, 10:28 AM
A lot of words there but I'm not sure what you're saying. I think it's De gea is at fault for United's form?

And Romero is a good keeper? Wow. Saint is back.

Angelsaint
13-12-2015, 10:50 AM
Almost right.
If Romero is a good keeper or not is arguable but I am sure Navas is the best keeper in the world at the moment.

ManU form is linked to Real administration department. Take your own conclusions from here.
Not many words this time.

Kikó
13-12-2015, 11:23 AM
Still makes no sesnse. Unless Navas is a world class forward as well as a keeper then he's as useful as a chocolate tea pot.

Missed this but while the success is true, I think there has been patience. When you start seeing baffling substitutions, awful performances and being outplayed (in effort and ability) and then have the manager come out with insultingly wrong headed comments well, I think many are within their right to expect more.

If you think the problem is scoring goals after conceding 3 from some flavor of the month German team and conceding 2 goals from bornemouth, 1 direct corner and other by a guy who is running for the record for a striker that score less goals... Well...Kikó is still the same Kikó.

This is actually a really tough match. Valencia clearly have the superior players but look like they've never met before, whereas Eibar are a bunch of willing journeymen who have that sort of Crystal Palace vibe going on, with the stands close to the pitch and everyone bang up for it. The sort of match I can imagine Garreh berating Kleberson in the dressing room for not fancehing it in days gone by.

Definitely, in my opinion. What more could he have done in that team? Look at the attack he had in front of him for one thing. Broken Falcao? The midfield of Giggs-Scholes-Keane-Beckham would struggle to give that man good enough service.

It says something about van Gaal that he dropped his most talented player after he had about two bad games and never showed faith in him again.

People were very harsh on the first half of his season, anyway. He contributed to as many goals as anyone else. What exactly was expected of him?

My last post about di Maria for at least twenty minutes.

Everyone slagged off Ozil in his first season as well after he lit up the month or two. It's what happens. He was one of those 'superstar' players that United are absolutely desperate for with all this Ronaldo/Bale/Neymar nonsense and was never given the time nor the license to do it.

But now he's playing in a lesser league he's good again? His heart was never in it and lvg doesn't have a clue how to use fast, direct players who require some sort of free license whilst offering little in way of defensive support. He'd have been jacking himself off silly if he had a Dirk Kuyt on the wing.
This isn't what di Maria is like at all. He never stopped running at Real Madrid. In the season they won the CL he was pretty much playing three positions at once, letting Ronaldo stay motionless when they didn't have the ball.

I actually think van Gaal could give license to some players if he wanted to. Look at how Robben played in the World Cup.
