Actor Shia LaBeouf has launched his latest performance artwork in Liverpool, asking members of the public to phone him and "touch his soul".

The Hollywood star has set up his own call centre in the city's Fact gallery, where he and his two artistic collaborators will field calls.

They will be at their desks between 11:00 and 18:00 GMT from Thursday to Sunday.

Those wishing to touch LaBeouf's soul can call the trio on 0151 808 0771.

Ringing celebs on the phone probably loses its charm when it's authorised.

I like to be hiding in their wardrobe when I do it.

Poor move from Shia, that. Advertising his location a few days in advance should give Yev time to arm himself for an assault.

I know this was in jest but I seriously can't help but notice it exudes sinister undertones.

I used to have John Barnes' phone number when I was in college. I used to ring him when I was with other people and ask "Is this John Barnes?" and he'd say "Yes" and everyone would think I was amazing and girls would want to blow me and stuff.

That's pretty good Hammer, but I have the former Housemartins guitarist Stan Cullimore added on facebook. I sent my condolences for the loss of his Alsatian dog, in reference to this on his wikipedia page:

In January 2013, Cullimore launched a civil action suit again Northampton Town footballer Luke Guttridge, after the latter struck and killed Cullimore's prized Alsatian dog with his converted school bus. In May of the same year the case was settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.[2]

He didn't seem to know what I was talking about though. :\

Ha, currently managing Luton on FM and Luke Guttridge's contract is running out and he won't accept a one year extension for less money.

I don't want him to now, the dog killer.

Are you sure it wasn't Pinemartins' guitarist John Burnes?
