Not to be confused with the shameful lustage thread, this thread is for divulging the shameful TV shows/Music/Films etc that you enjoy.

I'll kick us off with this:

I'm not overly keen on K-Pop but this shit is like crack for me right now, I think I've listened/watched it about 30 times in the past 3 days.

So TTH, what shameful shit are you watching and or listening to?

Bonus points if you correctly identify them.

I've watched some properly diabolical programmes over the years. Hotel Babylon is one that immediately comes to mind. Loved that even though it was complete shite.

Is liking Taylor Swift really "shameful"? I wouldn't go out and buy her albums but as far as pop music goes she's pretty great.

Not really, I suppose but she's not exactly 'cool guy music' either.

I played in a pro Haxball league for a couple years. Not literally pro. It was pretty fun, like if TTH was set in a frat. Watching livestreams of Haxball matches probably counts as shameful, but considering the likes of people (including some on here, I think) who follow the big-money Dota teams it doesn't seem so bad. At least I was participating in some way.

Tonetta

I read somewhere that he's not actually gay, and the Tonetta thing is just something he does for a laugh...apparently he has a family! I feel sorry for his kids if it's true.

I've quite enjoyed the last two seasons of Doctor Who.

Jimmy Floyd

With Coldplay I know I'm supposed not to like them, but the fact is they've probably done between 8 and 10 songs that are actually really good. Yes they're dreary but you know what, a lot of bands that I am supposed to like just don't have any highlights in their back catalogue, and Coldplay do.

Lee

Doctor Who is quality. Think I'm in the minority thinking Capaldi is the best one yet though.

Gabrielle Chana is properly mental. Anyone read about her Robin Williams book? Fruit loop.

Probably not quite the right thread, but I just made a sandwich using bacon that was 4 days out of date, bread that went out of date in November and brown sauce that went out of date in September.

If this is my last post ever, I love you all.

How is bread that went out of date in November not mouldy or rock hard?

SvN
11-12-2015, 01:25 AM
I'm not sure. It's brown Warbutons bread, and it always seems to last quite a bit longer than the best before date. I was surprised to find it still edible, though.

Coldplay have just become boring. Nothing wrong with that, though it does seem like their reputation might be better if they'd quit after Viva La Vida. A Rush of Blood to the Head is a great album (or it was when I was 14), and I think a few of their songs will go down as classics (here we go again...). I'll never forget this busker on the streets of Reykjavik playing "Clocks" on his saxophone - that riff is iconic.

Definitely with you on this. Has much more menace about him than a standard foppish twat, which makes it a much more interesting programme. Although critics might say it's just Malcolm Tucker as a timelord (who wouldn't want that though?).

I like the one who is dating Scott Disik. Kourtney, right? Scott Disik is a bit of a don.

The lass religiously follows the Kardashian show, it's the kind of thing you tell yourself you're not interested in but end up watching with her anyway in the end. After about an episode I get quite fed up though.

The most rubbish thing I watch on tv semi-regularly is Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. As with Colin Murray, it feels like I'm the only person in the world who doesn't mind Guy Fieri.

Now I'm not a teenager I don't really give a fuck what people think of my music taste, but when I did I always thought stuff that was on the line between legitimate and naff was far more shameful than proper cheesy pop. You can 'own' listening to T'Pau or All Saints in a way you can't with The Lemonheads or Crowded House. Or Coldplay I suppose.

I've just ordered some Christmas presents online and on the delivery instructions I wrote If not in, leave at #8 (or #3)

The woman at number 8 is old and always takes my parcels in. She goes out a bit though, so...
The woman at number 3 is well fit, but we've never gone beyond saying hello to eachother as we both get into our cars. Having her knock on my door to say she's got my parcel but it's a big box and asking me to come and get it. :hubba:
