This tiebreak has been shocking.

Ian
10-07-2022, 04:11 PM
I had to pop out for the middle of this but since I got back Kyrgios seemed to be constantly shouting about something. Quite a lot of cuntery to fit into one final, these two.

Djokovic remains the dullest to watch great in any sport ever.

Djokovic remains the dullest to watch great in any sport ever.

Selby as a contender maybe? You're probably right though.

He's impossible to root for, for me.

Yep. Federer just oozed class, Nadal has the athleticism and Andy Murray has the entertaining comebacks you can watch. Djokovic is just ... a bit machine-like.

Don

Both these guys seem like great guys, I don't know what the obese virgin losers who follow the sport have against them but they're wrong.

Kyrgios would be great value if his tantrums didn't make him lose his head. He's pretty unplayable when he's on form so it's usually just a bit tragic when he goes off on one.

And great.

Isn't Kyrgios's court case for domestic abuse? Given what he's like on the court with the world watching him, god knows what he's like behind closed doors.

"I can't forget when she left me on the street alone at 4 in the morning in New York, taking off my cell phone and wallet and in the meantime he went to one of his exes.

She told me it was my fault and I shouldn't be a victim, then she bragged to friends that she slept with a stripper, only three days after we broke up. She called me one day and told me I shouldn't do bullshit like commit suicide, I just had to shut up and let him go."

I think those are words from his lawyer showing his side of it.

Federer has announcted his retirement.

The greatest of all time?

Ian

Federer is my favourite of the big players to watch in my lifetime, even if he's as charismatic as one of those cows he got for winning slams

Shindig
15-09-2022, 06:03 PM
Yeah, he seemed more about calm precision when Nadal and Djokovic ran around to bail themselves out of bother. I can watch that stuff all day.

He’s just thrown 4 break points in the 5th set. Reckon he’ll lose serve now and the game.

I'm going to miss the sheer terror of a Murray 5-setter.

Sir Andy Mahowry
19-01-2023, 07:13 PM
The dick actually has an easy route to the semi-final if his hip holds up too.

Hardest match will be his third rounder against Bautista Agut but if he gets through that it's pretty easy until Novax.

Shindig
19-01-2023, 07:19 PM
Fuck off, you greasy Pole. :D

If an easy route requires 10 sets just to get into the third round, it isn't easy.

Sir Andy Mahowry
19-01-2023, 07:27 PM
Casper Ruud the second seed who was in his bracket is gone, as have all other seeds bar Bautista Agut.

For his Quarter-final there are no seeds left that he can face with 2 of the potential opponents being a wildcard and a lucky loser.

It's opened up massively for him. He's beaten two of the four hardest opponents in his bracket, one of the others is out and he faces the fourth next.

A lot of his potential opponents for the fourth round and quarter-final have never been this far in a grand slam.

Waffdon
19-01-2023, 07:38 PM
He’s played 11 hours in 2 matches and probably got to sleep after 6am meaning he’s literally getting way less rest because of a stupid format. He’ll do well to win more than 8 games in the whole match.

Waffdon

Is it fair to say at this point if Radacanu looked like Becky Adlington instead of a model the hype would be nowhere near as intense?

Sir Andy Mahowry
08-07-2024, 09:18 AM
No.

Firstly British tennis players are always hyped massively and secondly she's won a Grand Slam, as a qualifier which has NEVER been done before or after (yet).

The hype was justified but she's been riddled with injuries, I also think her coaching carousel hasn't helped too.

She's also better on hard courts than grass.
